|1.65km from city centerIt is very convenient to go to Mayo, and it is also the reason why the price is expensive. The underground and the 2nd floor corridor can pass, avoiding the cold in winter. The front desk is welcoming, the hotel cleaning is very sloppy, the tea is not replenished, the garbage is not taken away, and the tip is taken diligently.

|1.08km from city centerExcellent place to stay across the street from St. Marys Hospital. Each suite has a mini kitchen. They offer a very nice free breakfast-both warm and cold selections. And they have a dinner offering week nights. The lobby is warm and inviting and a very comfortable place for lounging or dining. Everything was clean and the staff very accommodating. There's a daily refreshing of the room. All of this at a very reasonable price. Free underground parking if needed. Yes- stay here!!

The staff was very professional, as well as friendly with excellent customer service as their first priority The price was fair. I enjoyed the breakfast each morning with a large variety of items to eat. The swimming pool was a bonus. I would highly recommend this motel, as my experience was 5 star! |4.9km from city centerThis hotel no longer shuttles to the Mayo Clinic, which was one of my primary reasons for staying there in the past. My room was horrifically dirty. There was a used juice pack in one of the drawers, there were nuts on my bed, there was food on the floor, there was a used coffee filter in the coffee maker and no new coffee filter available for me. Some of the towels looked used. I honestly don't think there was an attempt to clean this room other then putting new garbage bags in. I'm not totally convinced that I had new sheets. The bed was made, but I ended up sleeping in my clothes because it felt disgusting. The heater wouldn't blow warm air. I ended up just shutting it off. I got cold in the middle of the night and turned it back on, it worked then. The housing fell off the heater as well. My tv wouldn't show captioning unless it was muted. The remote wouldn't work to adjust that. I need captioning with my hearing loss, and not at the expense of sound. They no longer serve breakfast. I went down to the lobby at about 6:50 and saw about 5 breakfast bags sitting on a table by happenstance. I went back down at about 7:10 and the kitchen was still closed and no breakfast bags. There was an apple sauce, some crackers, and a water in the bags. This hotel has really gone down in the dump since last year. This would have been my 5th or 6th stay since 2019. The elevator and hallway was unclean. (dirt or mud) You can smell cigarette smoke in the building. There were cigarette butts in the stairwell. It is my understanding that this hotel has switched to more long term tenants at the cost of satisfactory cleanliness, services, and breakfast. I will not be returning here for my follow up Mayo visits. This cost me an extra $8.00 for one day of parking at mayo along with the headache of trying to find a parking spot since this hotel cancelled shuttle services.

|2.06km from city centerActually I was referred to this hotel by another that was fully occupied on the date I needed a room. That was not a bad thing. This hotel is not elegant but certainly adequate and it turned out to be a great value with clean rooms, (suites, actually), an adequate breakfast, ample parking, and convenient shuttles to the Mayo Clinic. I'll stay here again. TIP: If you are going to be seen at the Mayo Clinic, book this hotel directly, not through an on-line booking service. Ask for the Mayo discount. This can save you about $30. The number is 507-282-8091.

|1.28km from city centerFabulous hotel & staff ,& great location. Shower could do with a seat & grab bars at shower end & a detachable showerhead, & grab rails at toilet, to make it more suitable for those of us with disabilities. And power assisted/self opening room doors/doors throughout hotel. Shame bar wasn't open. Room bins could have done with emptying more regularly. Rooms would be better with a keurig coffee machine than percolator, plus coffee in rooms wasn't great, glad I brought my own. But other than those few things, a great hotel, staff, breakfast & coffee in breakfast room were fantastic. Staff were all very friendly & very helpful. Certainly better than the last hotel I stayed at in Rochester MN.

|6.4km from city centerBEWARE!! I stayed here while my wife had major surgery at Mayo. The reviews seemed fine. To summarize, on the third night (of a week long reservation) I returned from Mayo to find that hotel staff had touched and removed all of my personal belongings, took them out of the room, and placed them behind the front desk. I was told their system showed me as a one night stay and that they attempted to contact me for clarification, but since I wasn’t able to be reached they removed my items. I showed them my phone (which showed no calls from the hotel as well as my reservation # showing I had a 7 night reservation. The manager refused to come in and address the issue that evening. They did provide me with another room and gave me an excuse of an audit that messed up all of the reservations. All of my cold items were left out all day so they were ruined. I think the grossest thing is that they had to touch all of my personal items to bag them up because obviously i had everything spread out in the room as I was set to stay for a week. Someone would have had to grab my underwear from a drawer and grab my toothbrush to put it into a bag. Those are just quick examples but imagine if someone did that to your items! The next day I again asked to speak to the manager. I was told he wasn’t available. The front desk manager then blamed ME for the mistake. I He said I should’ve made a longer reservation than one day. I went to show him my reservation email and he blew it off and said he didn’t care. never have had anything like this ever happen to me. I would caution all of who think “it can never happen to me” …. are you willing to take that chance with this hotel? There are so many other hotels near Mayo Clinic I would NEVER Recommend anyone staying here. If you have a loved one who is undergoing a procedure at Mayo the last thing you need is a hotel who touches your personal items, removes your items from your room, and then refuses to respond to you.

Rochester
|6.61km from city centerThis hotel was dirty, cheaply built and seemed to be understaffed. We booked a 2 night stay and arrived around 8pm on our first night. On our way to the room we heard barking dogs and the hallways smelled of *********. Our room had stains on the couch, toenail clippings and hair all over the bathroom floor. There was food and garbage under the mattress, on top of the box spring. The construction looked cheap and we could hear every step people were making. The linens were thin and not clean. It was too late to find a different hotel and the staff person at the front desk was overwhelmed so we decided to wait until morning to check out. We could not stay a second night, we were disgusted. We reported everything to the front desk staff when we checked out and she apologized and gave us the managers card and told us we could call the manager on Monday. As we were checking out a person was complaining about blood stains in the room and an epi pen on the floor. Another person was complaining about the ants in their room. The charge for the second night is still being held on our credit card, even though we checked out early. I would not recommend this hotel. Cleaning standards are poor and managers are not available on the weekends to solve issues. Stay away!!

|1.66km from city centerThe location of the hotel is very good, it is very convenient to see a doctor. Breakfast is also ok. At the time of checkout, we calculated the parking fee of US$28. Where did we come to the car, took the bill and went to the front desk to explain it. The front desk said that it was wrong. It was crossed out on the spot. About three hours after leaving the city, China Merchants Bank deducted 28 US dollars, impatient to call the China Merchants Bank, indicating that the cost does not exist, China Merchants Bank agreed to coordinate. The result is still waiting.

|1.89km from city centerOverall we were pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews about cleanliness. Our room was clean, well kept and no smells considering it was a pet room. We were there for medical reasons and did spend a lot of time in the room. I would have liked an extra side chair or small table and chairs. The computer chair was not comfortable. We were very satisfied and happy with a complimentary shuttle to and from the hotel to Mayo. Staff was very attentive to our needs with our puppy and shuttle help. There was a bit of smell of **** but only a bit near the elevator. Our room never smelled. We were very very happy with the price and discounts provided. Senior discount and Mayo Clinic discount.

Rochester
|1.26km from city centerI stayed here 2 nights in late August of 2021 in Room 304. I was here on pleasure checking out Rochester again since living here once for several years in the 1970s during my early childhood. The hotel is located in a complex with multiple buildings around in front. The other buildings in front are restaurants and shops. There is a good pizza place and a philly steak sandwich in one the buildings. Also McDonalds is within walking distance or about 100-150 yards away. Head left from the hotel entrance through the parking lot till you get to the street and turn right. McDonalds is on the other size of that street on the street corner. The front of the hotel has a large overhang roof in front of the main door. So you would not get wet if raining. You walk through two automatic sliding doors to enter. Upon enter the lobby the reception desk is immediatley on your left. You keep going straight to reach the grey color elevator. The breakfast area I think is on the right side or opposite the reception desk(not sure since I did not try it). On my floor, the ice machine(push button to drop in bucket) and soda pop machine were next to the entry hall to the elevator. Interestingly the flooring in the hallway for the elevator is tiled whereas the hallway is carpeted. Upon enterin my room the bathroom is on your left. Upon entering there is a large wide counter with a single sink in the middle of iton the left. The toilet is opposite the bathroon door and the shower(no bath). The bathroom is just big enough for 1 person but it would be a little tight with more than 1. Just past the bathroom on the left is an open closet with hangers to hang your clothes on. There is a shelf above the hanger along with an iron and ironing board. Opposite the open closet is a small metal sink with a good size refrig underneath and a microwave above the sink. There is a small cabinet above the small microwave. I should mention the flooring in this area is tile until get to the bedroom area which carpeted. Past the closet on the left are two queen bed. There is a night table in between witha table top of roughly 19 inches by 2 feet. There is an alarm clock, lamp with one free electircal outlet on it, and the hotel phone. There is at least 4 feet seperating the beds. Between the closet and the first bed is a short flat table with a 5 foot wide sofa behind it against the wall. On the opposite side of the room staring where the carpet start is a small dinning table with two chairs on both sides of it. Then a folding luggage rack. Then a 3 wide drawer cabinet(3-4 feet wide). The roughly 36 inch flat screen TV is on top. Then a sofa chair and small circular table next to it finihes that side. There is a very large wide window along the back of the hotel room with curtains . The AC unit is below the winow. I did not see any else other than soap bar provided by the hotel. Nothing else. The Wifi worked well. There is an access code you use to acc

|6.48km from city centerMy stay at ESA North was for too start on my chemo at the Mayo Clinic. I remember the second day a Wednesday afternoon. I’ve been feeling depressed and alone, Overall just a bad day. The front desk agent name honest was so nice. He asked 21 questions of my day and he seemed busy as well. He stopped and walked me down to my room just talking. He had a smile that made me smile it was so efficacious and a humorous glow. He made my stay there 10/10. When he wasn’t there it was hard too get the same from the rest of the staff except, the manager Mike. I hope my next Mayo Clinic visit, ESA has a room available and that’s joyous man.

|1.72km from city centerI want to commend Maria Elena and her partner (don't know her name) who do the cleaning. Our room and bathroom were spotless and they were always available to give us more towels or whatever we needed. Top marks for them. But we had a lot of issues with our room. The fan would not turn off but blasted away night or day. Maintenance came and said they would fix it ”upstairs” but nothing changed. There were very few outlets in accessible places - two of them required trying to climb over a small sofa which was inconveniently placed quite near the bed. The one chair for the desk was very close to the one rug (which was held down by the bed so we couldn't move it) caused the rug to ruck up which was annoying and dangerous. Another chair would have been nice. With the exception of one person, the people who manned the front desk did not seem to know much about the area. There was confusion about whether we paid for free breakfasts or had not. The policy regarding this was changed but we were not informed even though our reservation confirmation said we had free breakfasts. There were no usable maps and no one offered us one. We had internet connection trouble but finally we were helped by the IT Tech but it took a long time to get through to that person. On the positive side, the location is great, especially for the clinics and downtown. Larry, who drove the hotel shuttle to and from the Mayo, was very professional and always on time. The restaurant right in the hotel (but a separate company) was convenient, and the hotel is right on the Skyway which is also very convenient.

|5.89km from city centerThis is one of the best stays we've ever had at a hotel! They are remodeling because it recently has new owners and is now a Holiday Inn Express, no longer a Comfort Inn. The new owners are amazing and helpful, especially the woman manager/owner. Everyone is very pleasant. Housekeepers do an awesome job refreshing your room daily. Oue room had an EXCELLENT BED with good pillows, new sheets/bedding. The room was extremely clean, new tile, carpet, paint, blinds. Great lighting. New sink& mirror in bathroom with perfect lighting. Plenty of coffee packets! Our room was perfect! The lobby area was being worked on when we were there, but it really didn't pose a problem at all. It was still safe to walk through. Breakfast was scaled back a little due to the remodel but there were plenty of choices. The ice machines have't been hooked up yet but we just bought our own ice, not a problem. The hotel is 4 miles from Mayo clinic but there is a shuttle. It's an easy drive if you drive yourself. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood. No street noise at all.

|1.08km from city centerI’ve stayed here dozens of times. This stay we had no heat in our room. At checkout I told the front desk he should have maintenance check our room heater. I had a picture of the thermostat and showed him the air temp in the room was a chilly 62 degrees. He responded by saying they had turned off the boilers yesterday because it was warm outside. I told him that was ridiculous and wondered why they were not turned on again for the night. When I told him we woke in the middle of the night and we were cold, he simply stated we should have called the front desk and they would have brought us a space heater. I told him that’s ridiculous and 62-63 degrees is unacceptable. He offered no other solution, apology, or a credit of any sort. This is very disappointing as most of my other stays here were just fine.
