Wonderful staff guided us into and met us in the closest parking option, which was directly across from the hotel, and then he helped us to the hotel and gave us great touring guidance. I wish I remembered his name – he was really terrific and made things so easy. Great communication from this hotel before and during our stay. We were the last customers of the season and the only ones in the hotel, yet the breakfast was full of options and they had cookies for us. The room was clean and comfortable with sufficient convenient plugs, shower had consistent water pressure and temperature, heating was good, location was perfect. There isn’t a better place for exploring Noto. It opened right onto the main street across from the cathedral.

My wife and I booked La Dependance in Noto in Sicily for 5 nights last September, but left after only one. This was because the manager not only failed to book a restaurant we requested but refused to acknowledge or apologise for leaving us stranded and instead insulted us in front of other guests at what passed for breakfast. In addition to being able to stomach nothing more than coffee for breakfast in this expensive hotel (€180 for two per night), I was badly bitten by a mosquito in our bedroom (which I later managed to squash on the wall). We paid in full for our one-night stay and left by agreement, but within hours we were e-mailed a bill for €720 for the remaining four nights we had booked. We disputed this charge with our credit card company and issuing bank, but to our surprise they insisted on upholding it, unreasonably in our view. They regarded our premature departure as the equivalent of a late cancellation or a no show, instead of being the result of a genuine customer grievance, as well of course as being by agreement. Only recently, six months after the event and only after we referred our case to the Financial Services Ombudsman, was this charge finally waived. We would like to share what we have learned from our distressing experience. Not only had we to source alternative accommodation by ourselves but we had to leave in a hurry as this hotel charges an extra €50 for departures after 11.30 a.m. David Lawlor Dublin

This place is perfectly placed to enjoy the spectacular sights of Noto. The room we had was especially romantic, the bathroom huge and well equipped. We had an aperitiv in the hotel garden on the first evening which was very atmospheric.....and good value. Breakfast was equally good. Heartily recommended, especially for a romantic break

We stayed two nights in Noto at the Gagliardi - and this may be the first time that I fell in love with a hotel. When we checked in, we learned that we were upgraded as it was off-season, complete with an awesome bottle of red wine. The suite was enormous, complete with a hot tub and comfy bathrobes. I don’t think we wanted to leave. The staff were amazing and I sincerely thank them for their hospitality and kindness. Everything was perfect - the bed, the huge shower, the bathrobes, the location. The breakfast was also awesome. You pre-selected your breakfast from a menu the night before. But I think they thought we didn’t order enough as breakfast included delightful other yummies beyond what we ordered. And the outdoor garden where we ate breakfast was high romance. Huge thank you to the staff and to the hotel for a fantastic visit.

My wife and I are just completing a 2 day stay in Noto. We would highly recommend this hotel. Serena is a gem! Totally fluent in English and so helpful. The suites are very large. One is absolutely huge, basically an apartment with a terrace. The others are also very spacious, one overlooking a nice piazza and the cathedral. One block to the main road with restaurants and shops. Excellent breakfast, made to order. A nice bakery just down the street. Extremely quiet at night. Only about 30 minutes to Siracusa and Ortygia. The suite in the photo is the one we stayed in. Very modern with a modern bathroom, rain head shower etc. a great place to stay in Noto.

These rooms are quirky and individual. Not sure that the building would pass UK health and safety tests. Bathrooms were modern and spacious. Air conditioning was effective but in my son's room leaked really badly. Breakfast was sparse, starvation rations ahead of our days cycling. Well located for the superb sightseeing in Noto.

Having read the great reviews on TripAdvisor, I was pleased to have secured one of the nicest rooms at Palazzo Tasca, the 'Affreschi'. All positive to start in that we were met at Noto station and driven the short uphill distance to 'Palazzo Tasca'. Check in was quick. Wifi in the room was very weak but OK in the Reception area. The room was advertised as 26 square metres which it probably is if you include the purpose built bathroom that takes approximately a quarter of the original room itself. The room was certainly historic with original frescoes on the ceiling and the bathroom was spacious and modern. The temperature of the shower was temperamental. The air conditioning was effective but the lack of any easy chairs in either the room or the communal areas of the building made it difficult to relax unless you wanted to lounge on the bed. The young staff were generally very pleasant and the rooms were kept very clean. Breakfast consisted mainly of carbohydrates with plenty of homemade cakes, brioche, mini pizzas etc but limited healthy options such that we didn't bother with breakfast the second morning and went for coffee in town instead. Palazzo Tasca is near to the centre but there is a steep climb up two sections of hill and in the heat of the day this can be a challenge. We enquired about a later check out as we were being collected by car at 12 noon and were told that this was not possible by the owner, as the rooms had to be prepared for the next guests. The booking facility on their own website the day of my request showed that 3 of the 4 rooms were unoccupied that night, including ours and I also checked on the morning of our departure, they were still empty that night - disappointing. This was compounded by the fact that even on the week-end, Saturday and Sunday, breakfast finishes at 9.30am and checkout appeared to be strictly enforced at 10am from what the owner told us the day before. However, you are able to leave cases at Reception to collect later. When doing as we were told and checking out at 10am to wander into the town for a coffee, we were asked if we wanted breakfast and told we could stay in the room until 11am - all a little annoying after being told no the day before! All in all, we enjoyed our visit to Noto but if returning, I wouldn't book Palazzo Tasca, preferring somewhere a little more customer focused in the main thoroughfare.

Decent hotel with good selection of food in all-inclusive restaurant, beach bar, pizzeria (recommended!), and lebanese special (recommended!). Food temperature for the buffet restaurant could be better (maybe just waiting too long between cooking and bringing the food to the buffet?), but at least there's plenty of choice at the buffet (warm and cold), and the selection was different every day. Our room was facing south, and during hot days (38-39C), even with the air conditioning running 24/7 there was no way to have the room temp below 27 degrees. So that had quite some impact on getting enough sleep. The music outside running till late at night (south east behind the hotel building) was quite loud as well. Maybe rooms in the other wing are less problematic. Front two rows on the beach have paid umbrella's, but there's no sign telling you so. So much for "all inclusive". There is another part of the beach umbrella's that's reserved for some other kiwi hotel's guests (and that part does have a sign!), however these spots are seldomly in use. Probably not enough spots to cover all hotel rooms. Definitely some improvement possible there. Not all hotel staff speaks any other language than Italian, but reception, pool bar, and beach bar staff do. Special thanks to the gentleman at the pool bar who seems to need no sleep and is always there to help you :-) Also special thanks to the cleaning team for keeping the rooms, lobby, etc. clean. All in all, a decent hotel, especially if you just use the rooms to sleep at night but spend the rest of the day at the pool, at the beach, or join some of the excursions organized by the kiwi organization. But for something that was listed as 4 star hotel, I was expecting quite a bit more. Not in terms of staff, but in terms of facilities and quality of the rooms.

Lovely large, clean and modern room - couldn’t fault it. But try to find the route to breakfast or pool it was a different matter - some lifts and staircases don’t go to where you expect them to. Very badly designed. The pool, when I found it was delightful, but the long walk there was tatty and needed a good clean. It was unusually staffed on both days by helpful pool guards who happily provided a drinks service and towels. A real plus point. Breakfast was wide ranging and pretty good.Again staff were helpful. It wouldn’t take a lot to make a stay here so much better, but needs a bit of thought

WOW! Daniela, Anna, Laura, Carla, who all work as staff at this hotel at the reception desk. I was disappointed that the hotel doesn't have a pool, however that negative point was easily forgotten with how incredible the customer service was from these ladies. I was dealing with a lot of stress, with business I had to take care of over in the country, and as a result I was forgetting loads of things and making a mess of a lot of things, (probably the most clumsiest time of my life) And these women were there to support me with everything, treating me like I actually mattered! They are warm, friendly, professional and SO helpful, from helping me lastminute.com to get my suit cleaned and prepared, to getting something ordered in the middle of the night, helping me find key locations I needed, to even arranging a taxi to deliver my passport that I forgot before my flight just in the nick of time! I am forever grateful to these girls. Thank you! PLEASE! Hotel Netum, if you see this, make sure these girls are recognized and rewarded in all the ways they deserve, it's these kind of individuals that business need and that customers hope to experience!

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful recently build modern villa. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely sister of the manager Fabrizio. She was very welcoming, showed us our nice very clean room, and gave us a list of recommendations for restaurants and beaches in the area. Beautiful swimming pool, lemon trees around the property, good breakfast with excellent cappuccino made to order, nice terrace to enjoy breakfast with view on Noto and swimming pool, private parking, great air conditioning,... BUT unfortunately one major flaw is the attitude of the manager Fabrizio. He does not know how to smile, not once during our 3 nights stay, does not communicate at all with his customers, no advice about things to do in the area, each question asked seems to be one too many for him, he seems to be solely focused on room planning and money. What a shame, and the lady assisting for breakfast seemed to copy his unpleasant attitude, what a pity. Come on, Fabrizio, you are running a beautiful B&B, enjoy it, interact with your guests like your sister does.

What a beautiful house, this is one of the nicest places I have stayed in for a long time, the atmosphere is great and the owners Carla and Giorgio are so friendly and helpful. Carla meet us in the parking area and took us the short distance to the B & B. They helped us with recommendation and reservation to restaurants, what to see in Noto (very good knowledge and you could feel their passion for the area) and beaches to visit. We loved the rooms, good space, clean, fresh, stylish and harmoniously decorated with plenty of small details that made you feel welcome. Also the bathrooms were lovely. Breakfast was fantastic, prepared by the owners with only local products, good selection of cheeses and meat (different selection on day 2) freshly squeezes juice, fruits, newly baked bread and pastery. The location is perfect, quiet and 5 minutes walk to the center. Notia Rooms is highly recommended, we will definitely return. Thank you Carla and Giorgio for taking so good care of us and making us feel so welcome. Regards from the Norwegian's

We drove up and were immediately greeted at the entrance to the hotel. As the hotel is in a pedestrian zone, our car was quickly taken care of for us. Once at the reception, we were warmly greeted and after checking in, shown to our room. The room was spectacular! Large, bright and very comfortable. There was even a computer for our use in addition to WIFI. The hotel serves a very nice breakfast. There is a terrace on the roof with a fabulous view of the main street, and where you can enjoy a nice drink in the evening.
