The hotel is getting old. The rooms are partially renovated, the furniture is old. However, everything was clean. The bidet, which is mostly available in Italy, is very positive. Unfortunately the safe in the room was broken and one of the closet doors was only hanging on two of the four hinges. We reported this immediately, and a friendly technician was sent the same evening to inspect the damage. These should be fixed the following day, which unfortunately didn't happen seven days later. Too bad. The breakfast was above average by southern standards, consisting mainly of sweet croissants or cornetti and cakes, which were sold in the on-site snack bar. Eggs, pigs, toast and pancakes (as a finished product) were also offered. Also juices and even Prosecco. Espresso, cappuccino was freshly made to order. In the in-house bistro you eat very well, but the service is extremely bad... all the waiters suffer from an attention deficit and can be described as unfriendly. Maybe that's part of the "folklore" which is a shame because as said before the food is very good and freshly prepared.
The hotel is perfect. The hotel is friendly and available, the hotel is also very clean. Breakfast is rich and wide, in other words excellent. In addition there is a great carved parking. Besides there is a bar and a gym. I recommend you go, it is fantastic.

It is more convenient to take the 601 road from the train station. The two young front desks are super patient and super friendly. There is a big uncle who is not very good. I asked a few questions because I couldn’t speak English and I was angry. Then I changed my English. The breakfast was very delicious and the coffee made was very good.

Hotels Near I.C. Aldo Moro" - Napoli" In Naples Review
Had a very good feeling about this place before we even arrived. Every time I emailed them with a question ( we had to re-arrange our trip a couple of times due to Covid), I got an answer within minutes. They also booked a couple of restaurants for us before we arrived. Don't be put off when you first arrive. The hotel is on the 4th floor of a building that doesn't look much from the outside. The street outside is sometimes very busy and the taxi driver didn't think we had arrived (there is only a small sign on a wall beside the gate into the courtyard where the hotel is located). You need to go up some stairs to the first floor and then in a lift to the fourth floor. Once inside the hotel you hear no noise from outside. It is like you are in a different world. The room we had (their most basic room) was lovely and spacious and had everything you need. Great shower. Breakfast good. Staff have lots of suggestions of places to see and eat. Very helpful. Feels very safe. Transfer from airport arranged by the hotel worked perfectly too. Would not hesitate to book again if we return to Naples.
The location of the hotel is very good, the train station is basically not there, the breakfast is more tedious, and it feels a little better than the domestic seven days, but the price is several times more expensive. The air conditioner is extremely noisy and the room is extremely poorly soundproofed
Had one night before our flight home. Room was very clean a decent size and the bed very comfortable. Nicely decorated room and the bathroom was also a very good size with nice toiletries. Location was good for our needs and about 20 minutes in a taxi to the airport. It was also quiet inside despite it's city centre location. Breakfast buffet was continental and had a selection to suit most people. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We would return.
We only stayed one night, but it was paradise. Naples can be a very exhausting city to explore, and this wonderful hotel is a fantastic place to escape the mayhem! Fantastic staff, immaculate rooms, perfect baths, and the breakfast is incredible. Will stay here again for sure. Highly recommended...Oh, and the location is close to the action, but not so close to be bothered by the noise of the very center of the old city...Love it!
We have just returned today from a tour of Italy and finished the tour at this hotel I am so pleased we decided to stay here, the hotel is beautiful and unspoilt, the staff were lovely to us and our daughter and very helpful, we stayed in room 610 which was perfect for our stay and had incredible views If you are staying here having dinner in the restaurant is a must as the food was wonderful and service excellent, also very close to the spanish quarter which was one of our highlights of Naples, We cannot wait to return to this lovely hotel , very special place, Thank you
Still stayed for one night and I have to take the airport alibi early in the morning this b&b I strongly advise you. Located in a old palace with a portier and view on the Piazza Garibaldi just a few steps from the alibus stop and consequently from the central station, My spacious and clean room full of frigobar, cooler and safe box with good quality bedroom and a good bathroom of good size also provided with excellent fresh cut and fragrant hand towels. I haven't enjoyed breakfast included in the price because served after the time of my departure. Good clean parfum everywhere. very kind personal. I'll surely come back and advise to book without hesitation!
This is not a large hotel, but a family hotel run by the family. The location may not be easy to find, and the apartment building outside is quite ordinary, but there is really no hole in the hotel. In addition, the surrounding environment of this hotel is safe in Naples. The interior of the hotel is very modern and technologically sophisticated. Breakfast was done by the boss himself, especially delicious. The boss boss is not very good at English, but basically does not affect communication. The room is clean and tidy, the bathroom is still three-dimensional, can put music, can sit, can change the water flow massage. There is a bus to the station and airport within a 5-minute walk, and there is also a delicious Chinese food nearby. Personal recommendation, cost-effective.
Completely surpassed our expectations! We are used to also staying a lot in 5* hotels, but decided for something different while visiting Napoli. The hotel is located in the heart of the Spanish Quartier and therefore gives a totally different and more local experience compared to other hotels around. The entire staff is super nice and helped making our 3-night stay unforgettable. The little terrace, as part of the Junior Suite, gives the feeling of staying in a peaceful oasis in the middle of the chaos of Napoli. We even received our daily breakfast to our room! We were also really surprised by the shower: by far the best shower I’ve ever seen in a 3*, even 4* hotel!!! I never write reviews, but this one is worth it!
Excellent location in the historic centre of Naples, just a few minutes walk from Dante Square and metro station, via dei tribunal and all its restaurants, via toledo and its shops and working a half hour walk from anywhere you'd want to visit. The hotel itself is tucked up a wee side street and is a gem. It's bright, modern, spacious and full of great staff. Our room was so big, we had a bed and a couch, tea making facilities, a wee outdoor seating area to ourselves and a very powerful shower. There's also a communal outdoor seating area, indoor areas with seats, books, boardgames and all nicely decorated. Breakfast was fantastic as were the staff on duty. There was plenty choice, meats, cheese, bread, fruit, cereal, salad, spreads, rustic pizza and the most amazing pastries. Plenty coffee and special coffees made to order. The hotel is very handy for public transport to airport and Pompeii or amalfi coast. Metro is across the road and five stops takes you to main train station at Piazza Garibaldi which is where the Alibus runs every 15 minutes to airport. As we were arriving late at night we booked the airport transfer provided by the hotel, this was a bit expensive as there is a surcharge after 9pm. We didn't fancy the taxi or hunting for bus stop in the dark so bit the bullet and went with the car. The driver wasn't there when we arrived but after contacting the hotel Marco turned up and had us at the hotel door in no time, in comfort, I'm glad he was joking about the VW Polo he initially led us to. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. Brilliant location, staff and comfort. Loved it.
We were in this comfortable hotel on April 25 and it was a pleasant surprise. Located in a central location just a few steps from the port and the metro, the hotel is in the historical centre and is therefore very comfortable for island tourists and residents like us. The room was very clean and light, the room was very clean and the room was very clean and the room was very clean and the bathroom was very clean and the breakfast was very clean and the room was very clean. The staff is very friendly and available.
This is the first time that her daughter has gone abroad alone. The hotel is in a good location, just near the train station. The room is also very good! Clean and tidy. The proprietress is Chinese, really super good! Added WeChat and gave her daughter a lot of help! I have been helping my daughter, thank you very much! It is highly recommended that friends who come to Naples live in their hotel.
It’s a very nice 4 star hotel in a 1 star area. We had a suite beautiful, nicely furnished , marble floors, all marble bathroom with a large soaking tub (not a whirlpool) large shower. A few things we do have to mention. There was no place to put your bags. I went to the front desk and asked for a luggage stand. I was told we don’t have any and then was told. Most guests us the armoire. Our armoire was not even deep enough for a hanger to hang perpendicular to the back and still be able to close the door. I don’t even think a carryon would fit it. He offered us some chairs. The room safe is ridiculously small and has a key. Still better after you lock your items in the safe you take the key and leave it at the desk. The rooftop was a very nice area, as pictured. The bartender, Mario was a great host. Breakfast was the usual Italian standard. Staff was overall nice. It is very convenient to the train station. Only about a 20 minute cab ride to the airport.
This was the worst stay we ever had at a hotel. We do a lot of traveling with my girlfriend, but this was so disappointing compared to how it is presented on the internet and booking. We arrived on the first day and the stay was initially booked for three nights. When we arrived, they were painting whole the walls of the hotel, so it smells fresh paint everywhere! Very strong smell of paint and especially in the rooms. At the end of the day, we took a shower but it leaked over everywhere so the bathroom was flooded. We went to bed at 11p.m. but impossible to sleep, even with earplugs! It was a big party in the hotel, a lot of people were yelling, screaming, and laughing. We tried to explain to the persons (at 1a.m.) that we would like less noise to sleep but it didn't stop. Even when it stopped after hours, you can hear the neighbours in other rooms speaking and snoring because of the small thickness of the walls. When we woke up, we had a strong headache due to the fresh painting smell. We went to breakfast at 8:30a.m. but it was already full, so they said come back later please. We had a tour reservation so impossible to wait. We didn't have breakfast. At the end we ask to pay back for the following night’s because it was just impossible to stay for us. They said we will refund you trust us. We never had the refund. Very poor hotel with unpleased manager and not honest. Just one advice if you want a good stay in Napoli: book another hotel than this one.
It is an Italian house that is open opposite the train station and has 5 rooms. The location is very convenient, the price is relatively high, but the downstairs are black, relatively insecure. We live next door to black people. I am not a racist, but I still care. The landlord is very enthusiastic, maybe too enthusiastic, will open your door to clean up, although we clearly told him not to do so. I don't care, my wife is more afraid. In short, there are advantages and disadvantages. The man is alone, recommend living. Couple, forget it, take care of your lover's sense of security.
If it had not been for the Taxi driver we would not have found the property, as its in an apartment/office block. The property name is on a plaque on the wall and you have to use an entry phone to gain access, walk through a court yard and go into the next building and the rooms are on the 6th floor. Unexpectly the lift is extremely small and very claustrophobic. I was not able to use the lift as I got so distressed in such a confined space and had to use the18 flights of stairs up and down to the sixth floor. The room and bathroom was well decorated, very clean and serviceable with a balcony overlooking the court yard. We were often woken up during the night by next door room using their toilet and shower. The first time it happened, because the noise was so loud, we thought someone had come into our room and was in our bathroom You could also hear the people upstairs moving around. There are no English programs on TV. The WIFI was very good. The breakfast was very basic water, fruit juice, tea, coffee, bread for toast, cerials, a prepack croissant jams and oranges. The location is excellent for the busses and port, Its just a short walk for ferry departure points for day trips to Capri, Sorrento, Amalfi or Ischia and the hop on hop off bus. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby
It’s a very good 4 star hotel with friendly staff and big parking lot. The reception, room and bathroom are modern and clean. The room was a bit small, but ok for the price. Nice and decent breakfast with a variety of fresh fruits, cold meats, scrambled eggs and pastries. There is one Italian restaurant just in front with nice pizza for reasonable price. Hotel is conviniente locate with easy access to the beach and local attractions, only 3Km away from the airport.
I traveled with a friend. We arrived at 3 am. because our flight got delayed. We pre-ordered a room with 2 separate beds, and when we arrived we discovered there was no such room available. As the hour was horrible, we didn't argue and accepted the rooms with a single bed. It's worth pointing out that the receptionist didn't talk English at all and this whole thing took a lot of time to figure out, again, at 3 am. However, in the next day arrived another receptionist who actually could speak English, and she made sure we get a room with two separate beds. The room had an air conditioner, but that was about its' only plus. The view from the window was horrible, there was no mini-bar and the shower was awful. The water stream was low and the canal for water to flow to was mostly blocked, thus forcing us to be very flexible and tolerant. The room service was good, the room got cleaned well every day. The breakfast was served every day in flexible times, meaning feel free to arrive at 7:30 am (earliest) or 10 am and both are fine. It was ok, nothing great, but not bad, with a pretty poor variety but a pretty good quality. Besides the malfunctions, the hotel is placed in a great area, very close to the center and the sites interested for tourists, about 15 min walk from the port and fairly close to good restaurants. Maybe it's just us who had a bad experience there, but all in all, I wouldn't return there again.
All the reviews on here are so true, a lovely hotel tucked away off the Piazza. We had a terrace room which was bright, spacious and the terrace had great views over the cities roof tops. The breakfast courtyard was lovely and cool ideal for setting yourself up for the days adventures. The later you arrive the less chance of a courtyard table and inside is ok but not as nice. The food was good with plenty of choice and hot coffee which was easy accessible. Close to the cobbled lanes with plenty of bars and restaurants and walking distance of the Archaeology Museum which was fantastic and I'm not a great museum fan but this was amazing especially the artifacts from Pompeii. As someone has written already, you need to see beyond the graffiti as the people are lovely, the place is steeped in history and you can't go wrong using this hotel as your base. Happy exploring!
I spent three nights in this place, but I wish I have never done it. The breakfast and general helpfulness of the staff was alright, but cleanliness and professionalism are non-existing. When I checked in, I was asked to leave my ID at the desk, which I found very unusual. The receptionist insisted, so I left it there. I was given a room, which was so small that I could not even turn around properly. Bathroom is the same. I thought "ok, I booked a single room, that is what I got". Then, I realized that at some places in the room the wall is rotting and there is mould. Also, there was a LOT of dust everywhere. I mean a thick layer of dust. On the top of that, there was noise from everywhere. People were trampling above me, others banged the wall next to me and there was a group of Spanish girls next door, who watched the TV that loud that I could not here every single word. I decided that I contact reception and request another room, which is clean and away from noisy people. Alessandro, the receptionist, first told me that noise is normal and I am not the only one here, so I have to live with it. Upon insisting, he acknowledged that the room is indeed dirty and he promised me a room for the next day onward. I did not sleep until 3am and was awake at 6am already, because of the noise. At least, I got my new room on that day, which was slightly better and clean. Everything went well until check-out. When I wanted to check out, nobody was at reception. There was no sign, not a single member of staff, even though I was waiting there 12 minutes. As my bus to the airport was about to leave, I left my key-card on the desk and left the hotel, knowing that I do not have an outstanding balance. Later, on the airport, I realized that I do not have my ID with me, because I did not get it back from reception. I contacted them several times, but they were extremely rude and unhelpful to send the ID. After contacting the local police and insisting in e-mail countless times, they sent me a delivery note that they sent and it is not their problem anymore and I shall not contact them again. Very rude again! It is not a bloody pair of socks or t-shirt, but my ID, which is the most important document one can have! Long story short, I checked out more than a month ago and my ID is still nowhere. The delivery company says that they do not have any parcels under the tracking number I was provided by the hotel, while the hotel refuses to help. As a result, they took my ID, they lost is somewhere and there is nothing anyone can do. I left with the hassle and costs to organize myself a new one. Mistakes can happen, but a deliberate helpfulness, rudeness and unprofessionalism are absolutely unacceptable!
There is no parking lot in the hotel itself, but there is a parking lot next to the hotel. There is an unlimited number of entrances and exits of 40 Euros a day, and the keys are handed over to the parking lot. The hotel is on the dockside, there are many restaurants around, and there are also Chinese restaurants, all within 100 meters. Can trampoline 25 euros, breakfast variety is not much, but the food is very good, the restaurant faces the egg castle and the sea, feels good, the waiter is polite
La Controra is good overall - I stayed for 4D 3N in a double room with an en-suite and I'd certainly stay here again, but there are some points for improvement. POSITIVE good price - very reasonable. Breakfast included - it was basic (toast, cereal, fruit etc) but a good start to the morning. Friendly, positive staff and hospitable atmosphere. Intersting location - it's a shame you aren't able to have a nose around the abandoned church next to the hostel! WORK ON POINTS The bathroom mirror/light setup wasn't great. The mirror appears designed to prevent light from shining on your face as it has a wooden border which obstructs the light. The towels provided were very small - it's a good thing I always bring my own! Could definitely do with some bigger ones. The shower head was ever so slightly too short. I'm 6 ft 2, and the shower head appeared to be exactly 6ft 2 off the floor, so not well situated for the taller person!
For a 4-night holiday with a friend I chose this structure based on the excellent reviews I had read. We were very good: strategic location, large room and functional arrangement. New building in historic palace with a face halfway Chiaia. To make all this kindness, sympathy and willingness of Joseph that makes you feel at your home, and to summarize judgement more than excellent and far beyond expectations, to return and to advise knowing not to be wrong. We also met Enzo the owner: he too is very friendly and sympathetic as only Napoletanos know.
The relais is very nice, I believe it was renewed recently with semplicity and taste, it is located in a very central area on the 3rd floor of a building with 24h do al terzo piano di un palazzo con portiere h24 concierge. We were welcomed in an extremely professional way by Paolo who gave us all the informations. The room was comfortable, clean and very lominous with all the needed furnishings, will definitlely choose this place for our future Neapolitan stays.
There is a roof on the roof of the hotel. Once in the day and once in the evening, there are many people who can drink on the rooftop, which is the only reason why this hotel is worth staying. In addition, it is close to the train station, and the others are average, but meet the standards of a general budget hotel.
Before you read my comment you need to understand that I have stayed in many hotels all over the world from very luxury to very poor ones. The hotel culture in Italy isn't good in my point of view. Usually you get less for you money. I can not say that our stay was unpleasant as we stayed for 5 days. The hotel has the basics, is clean, the personal are friendly, but sometimes stubborn, the breakfast is good especially for a folk that does not have breakfast at all in their culture, but it's every day the same so not variation in the breakfast. The rooms are small, we booked superior room with kingsize bed. Well believe me the room wasn't "superior" and the bed wasn't kingsize at all. You will read that many people, including myself, are negative about the neighborhoud. This is true, you need to realize that you are staying in a poor part of Napoli and a lot of immigrantes are hanging all day long in front of the hotel, smoking ****. As long as you stay on the main streets till the Centrale Station nothing will happen. At least nothing did happen to us. But yes the street view is not qualitative. The immigrants didn't spoke to us, didn't intimidate us, unlike in Paris were it can get ugly...
We spent one week with our two teenagers to discover Naples and surounds begginning of May. We spent a marvelous moment in Hotel Rex. The hôtel is well located, not far from the seaside and 5 minutes walk from Piazza del Plebiscito. You can also reach the Metro walking 15 minutes from the hôtel. It's also near the port if you wish to have a tour in Capri or other islands. The decoration is realy nice, the bedrooms are cosy and the staff is so king. A special thanks to all of them.
Use for 3 nights on a solo trip. Convenient location, close to Naples Central Station. Because there was no signboard, the entrance was difficult to understand, and I called another hotel (the same building), and the husband there was helped and pushed the interphone. The hostess of this hotel was very kind and could explain in English including how to enter the building. I also gave me a map of Naples and gave me a sightseeing guide. The room is auto locked and enters the password as well as the entrance to the building. It was very clean and comfortable in a double room. There was air conditioning and oil heater. Just no refrigerator. Wifi water was not a problem at all, such as the temperature and water pressure of the shower. I am glad that there is an oil heater in the bathroom. Breakfast is a buffet similar to other 3 star hotels, but sweet bread and fruit changed little by little every day. Close to central station and Skappa Naples, we were very convenient to use. Personally, it was good that there was no key delivery in the room because of the password system in the building, the hotel, and the room.
