|3.53km from city centerstaff were very helpful and would try to help you on all your queries. hotel was close to the bus stop (#18 to go to city center), and the nearest metro station (dinegro) was about 10-15 mins by foot. but if it is summer, it's really hot and you'll be sweating at the time you reach this station. breakfast was just OK, food was less compared to other novotel hotels i've used in the past. room was not so clean expected of a 4-star hotel (especially the bathroom) - need to improve on this. sink was also not on the expected state, water could be accumulated easily and could take time to be drained. elevator was a nightmare, took forever to have your place. it says 11 person capacity, but could not take more than 5 people. there were only 2 physical elevators, and we've experienced a day that the other one was not working. there is a swimming pool, but not usable in the morning (closed) because according to the front desk, the person with the key comes in the afternoon (let down when you want to spend your morning at the pool). also very small TV (and no hdmi interface) nor apps.

It's very close to the Port, shops, and restaurants - all within the winding old streets of the old town. The room itself was fine - a basic hotel room with all the normal touches. One thing to note - we left our room right at check out (11am) and as we were standing by the elevator, two housekeeping women walked right into our room - as if to make sure we were gone. We've stayed in hundreds of hotels throughout the years and never saw this before. It obviously wasn't personal but I do suggest one leaves promptly or you'll get walked in on...

The hotel is 1km away from the airport, so if you have baggage you will need some transport to the airport and the hotel does not have any transfer. They were very kind, we were going out before 6:00 a.m., they prepared a basket with cookies and yoghurt for us last night. For anyone who wants to walk through Genova I don't recommend because it's a little far away.

|2.16km from city centerWe arrived at late night after a long trip, and we have been welcomed from a really sweet guy who helped us to park our car ,and also offered us a beer .. the room was clean and spacious,the hotel is new and has a stylus and smart concept... we had to stay only 1 night but we extend 1 more nite in order to rest and relax before going back home.. the day after we met elder who seems to be the manager who gave us so many informations on what to see in genova and where to eat proper Italian food .. we felt like home,it wasn’t expected,such a great surprise at the end of our road trip through Europe.. definitely recommended .. we will stay again if we will ever come back to genova.. thanks guys

The hotel is located a little away from the main areas and not much amenity around but close to cruise terminals and airport. Check in and particularly check in staff were very good. |0.5km from city centerThis hostel's best feature is its location. Less than 10 minute's walk from the main train station (if you don't get lost!). Easy walking distance to most of Genova's sights too. Plenty of cafes, take-outs, and supermarkets within a few blocks. My dorm was pretty spacious, and the kitchen was decent with two stoves, but only one fridge. I visited during the slow season, and there was plenty of room for everybody. If the place was fully booked, I could see it getting a little crowded. My dorm didn't have an en-suite, but the showers and toilets are assigned to each dorm- so ideally you'll have washroom facilities just for you and your roommates. The doors to the showers and toilets were hard to close, and the shower leaked, but as long as you don't put your stuff on the floor you'll be fine. You can smoke on the balcony if that's your thing. At times the noise from the common areas infiltrated my dorm, but everything seemed to settle down by 10 pm. Oh yes- private reading lights and power points at each bunk. There is an elevator, but you'll have to climb some stairs to get to it. If I'm ever in Genova again, I may as well stay here :)

As we arrived around at 11PM the receptionist told us they were actually fully booked. they tried unsuccessfully for an hour to find us an other room. So at about midnight we were in Genova with nowhere to sleep. We were not the only ones ! 2 other families where in the same situation that night !!! The receptionist told us it happened often…. So beware if you really need somewhere to sleep find something else! We even called the night before to be sure we could do a late check in and they didn’t tell us anything, didn’t try earlier than 23 pm to find us un other room etc…. Didn’t warn us either !! Mistakes can happen but this was clearly not one ! It happened to them before and they did nothing to fix it ! The best of it is that we are still waiting for the refund! They have really no shame

|2.14km from city centerExcellent modern mini suites in a renovated building just across the road from the Principe train station and on the main street to the historic centre, about 10 mins walk away. (Palazzo Real is on the same street). Entrance to the hotel, like many of the other old buildings is very narrow so take care not to miss it. Surrounded by cafes and restaurants but still pretty quiet. We had a separate bedroom linked to a small sitting area with a super large armchair, desk, mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities and even a couple of biccies. Bed and pillows were really comfortable. Bathroom was also reasonable size with modern fittings, a shower cubicle (no bath) and complimentary shower gel and body lotion. A buffet breakfast is usually available for 7 euro we were told but was closed due to covid. This was not an issue as there is a decent cafe next door and several others to choose from close by as well. My only criticism was that there was no heating in the room. We could only get the air con to blow out cold air and as it was pretty chilly and wet during our stay, we could really have done with a bit of warmth.

|1.82km from city centerWe stayed for one night. The hotel is in the centre of the cars, near bars, typical restaurants, aquarium and ports. Excellent location for short stays in the city. The staff is super available and nice. The hotel is very comfortable and has a very good price. The area is attached to the port, so you can't imagine it's “typically” tourist, but we haven't had any problems to turn with a 5-year-old child. Recommended!

|1.38km from city centerI loved the interior, very stylish design of the room with its mix of modern elements and antique bits if furniture. Besides, the room was very large with a dining table area, tv & couch, desk and plenty of free space. it was great to have a kitchen to use which was equipped with stove, fridge, microwave. Generally, the entire appartment was very clean and well-kept. The location was great with 25min walk time to either of the 2 train stations. Communication with the owner via WhatsApp was smooth. The owner/administrator mixed me up with other guests in all text messages (with only 5 rooms to manage) and due to the reception’s working hours I never met him. According to the information sheet the bed linen should have been changed every 3 days and somebody has been in my room but the linen was not changed. The appartment is lovely but one has to be aware that you can always hear when somebody is coming in or going to the wc in the night as doors are old-style doors. They rattle and are not soundproof at all. The rooms’ curtains do not block out street light. The entrance to the house is not easy to find - I helped other guests to find the gate on the upper street level which is special feature of Genoa’s houses.

|0.35km from city centerThis hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the railway station ... mostly through a pedestrian street full of shops, restaurants etc. The hotel is well signed but, at the entrance, it looks more like an office building as reception is on the 1st floor. The room is simple and modern. It has an opening french window onto a small balcony. Good desk for writing. Comfortable bed. Well appointed bathroom with shower, bidet, WC etc. WIFI worked well. TV in the room. Apart from the pedestrian street outside, the main shopping area is only 5 minutes away and the start of the old city 10 minutes away. Excellent location. Breakfast was great value at €4.50 per person. Staff were very friendly and I heard the the man on reception speaking fluent English, French and Italian ... maybe more. Very welcome and would suit the young at heart of any age.
