We stayed a night in room 230 which has a lovely jacuzzi with fancy columns on both sides of the tub. (There's also another jacuzzi room which has a different layout.) In our room there was a king bed, a queen bed, a table with two chairs, night stands, half size fridge (no freezer), armoire, closet, and bathroom amenities. If you are looking for a shower stall that has some safety elements for a senior, this qualified. It was an installation shower stall with direct walk-in, and two little ledges in the shower stall if you want to perch instead of stand, a totally embedded horizontal safety bar across the back, and a nozzle on a hose so that you can bathe yourself hand-held style. The television is perched on top of the closet which is pretty high up. You can watch it comfortably if you're lying in the king bed, but it's not watchable from anywhere else in the room. The mini fridge was on when we arrived which I always appreciate. There's a stairway and an elevator. The jacuzzi is designed for two. You have to fill the water above the jet holes, before turning on the jets. The jet button is all the way to the back, so you don't turn the bubbles on til after you're already bathing in the tub. Behind the two spots where you sit, are tub indentations where you can place a rolled towel to use as a headrest. We found the tub to be comfortable and pleasant. There were lots of cars when we arrived so parking was tight. Some of the guests were renting long-term. I liked this hotel room a lot but my boyfriend didn't like the area.

We booked one night here to stay after a day trip to Universal Studios and we are very happy with our experience. We came early on the morning of our stay, and they were happy to let us park there since there were extra spots available. We ubered over to universal, which is less than 5 minutes away. I'm sure this isn't always an option if it's busy, but it was a nice perk. This hotel was perfect for the occasion because it is so close to the park, yet not outrageously priced. Once we did check in, we got a room with only one bed, so we were upgraded to two adjoining rooms for us and our kids. They are still renovating, but it was not an inconvenience in any way, and the renovated lobby and rooms are all beautiful. Everything was clean, very comfortable, with all the basic amenities, including fridge, microwave, and continental breakfast. The front desk staff was so nice and very welcoming. Overall, we were very pleased and felt that it was exactly what we were looking for, at the right price. We will be staying here again next time!

Quick and straightforward check in after a long day of travelling. Room was modern and clean. We were in 211, on the corner. Did face out to the street which was noisy but we are used to street noise so didn't bother us. Breakfast was decent - cereal, scrambled eggs, bagels, toast and fruit to choose from. Filled us up for a good while. We chose this hotel based on closeness to Universal Studios, just ~20min walk. Also close to the metro, which was handy for us getting into the city. Would definitely stay here again.

Due to the fact that the rain for 4 consecutive days did not really go to the Avenue of Stars near the hotel, it is worth mentioning that there is a mini bar on the ground floor of the hotel. Many people have a good environment at night and there is a restaurant for business hours 7am to 3am every morning. It’s delicious to eat breakfast there, and it’s also a lot of people who have gone to the hotel and walked over the bridge. There’s a restaurant called Jane Q.

My previous stay in LA was at the Loews Hollywood, which was amazing but really expensive. I wanted something in the same area but had a smaller budget to work with. The Lexen was only 2 blocks away and the price was really reasonable. It was a small room and the beds are very low to the ground, but it was clean and the staff were super friendly.

Did not eat hotel breakfast, but feel that the hotel attaches great importance to guest evaluation, the hotel looks like a motel, but the room is OK, the key is the location is good, quiet in the middle of noisy, walk to the Avenue of Stars for 5 minutes, nearby to eat and buy souvenirs are convenient, Driving to Universal Studios for 10 minutes, it is especially suitable for people who want to play in Universal Studios. There is no charge for parking. The only thing I need to remind is that the room is a bit too fragrant, like the detergent with too much taste, the door needs to be ventilated, the window is aisle, there is no landscape

This hotel offers great customer service and the location is perfect if your touring Hollywood. Hollywood Blvd is just a couple of blocks away and you will feel safe at this location. The General Manager Alfonso Torres and the Front Office Manager Alicia Zavala really tried to ensure our 2-night stay was enjoyable by meeting my request. The rooms are clean and the restaurant and bar are nice for a Hilton Garden Inn. I wish the bar would stay open longer because each night we got back it was already closed unfortunately. If you attending a show at the Hollywood Bowl you can't get much more convenient than this hotel. You can easily walk there to check out the Bowl or attend a concert or event and feel safe doing so. You don't have to worry about traffic or parking cost associated with the Hollywood Bowl. We have eaten at their restaurant many times for breakfast and the staff has been there for years and are very friendly and provide great service! I wish I could recall all of their names because they deserve the recognition. The parking fee is about $40 per day but the valet service is good and the people who work there are friendly. They have a outdoor pool and a small business center for their guest. When booking at this location make sure to see if they have a AAA, AARP or military/government rate if you qualify for any of these discounts. For safety, location and convenience it's tough to beat this hotel in Hollywood.

We stayed here for the first 2 nights of our 4 night LA stay. When looking for hotels in Hollywood everywhere seemed to be either so expensive, or very cheap and horrible looking. This place was a reasonable price but looked ok from the photos as it appears to have been refurbished. Thank I work in hotels myself and will point out the following things that, in my opinion, are good points and bad points: Bad points: * The Motel was VERY noisy when trying to sleep as the walls are paper thin and there was a HUGE gap around our door meaning we could hear everything outside as if it was happening in our room! This meant that our quality of sleep was not good (especially on the first night) so after an 11 hour flight we were not impressed and considered moving for the second and final night of our stay * Yes, the room has been refurbished but the bathroom could do with a complete overhaul. Very tatty and grubby looking. * The bed sheets were stained in places Good points: * Small but good selection of breakfast items each morning (fruit, pastries, muffins, cereals, coffee and juices) * Very good location for exploring Hollywood * Very large and comfortable bed All in all, as the title says, this is fine for a 2 night stay maximum but then I would move somewhere else.

The breakfast was too simple, no meat, only bread, jam, butter and milk juice. Hotel location is good, from the subway red line highland station, left to the north uphill 7 minutes. The Avenue of Stars, Kodak Cinema, and China Cinema are just 2 minutes from the right side of the subway exit. There is a 24-hour subway near the hotel, and 7-11. The room is big enough, the bathroom is big and the towels are good, there is no toothbrush. Two large and one small, booked twin beds, very soft and comfortable. The front desk was very nice and helped print the Universal Studios tickets, especially thanks.

We decided to try out this hotel as it is not too far from the major attraction and away from the busy city. This hotel is located in the corner of highway, therefore expect highway noise if you stay here. Parking space could be a bit challenging and tight but we have no problem getting one even we come back after 10:00 P.M. The wall is thin, we can hear the noise from vending machine and ice machine because our room is next to it. On the good side, the room and bathroom are very spacious. Outdoor pool on the premises. They are tuck in the far corner of the building and covered with shade from trees. They only offer valet laundry. Staffs are very friendly. Small breakfast area but they office a variety of selection. The days we stay there, they offered hot breakfast like sausage and bacon, there are also fresh cut fruits, Greek yogurt, and wide selection of bread, and pastry. They even have organic soy milk to go with your coffee or tea.

Overall this place is okay for the price. I'd say it's your basic budget hotel...nothing special, nothing that really sets it apart. My room was clean and quiet. That said, our stay was not without issues: 1. I stayed 2 nights. Both mornings when I woke up, there was no hot water. The first morning, I complained and they got someone to fix it right away and we had hot water the remainder of the day. The second morning it was someone else at the front desk, some young dude with a man bun, and all he did was give me a blank stare like he didn't believe me. When I went back to the front desk to complain again an hour later, all he could say was "maintenance isn't here today (Sunday)." No "Gee I'm sorry, let me call someone," no concession offered, nothing. It was obvious by the confused look on the guy's face and the shrug he gave me that he had no clue what to do. 2. Contrary to what other reviewers have said, they DO offer complimentary breakfast in the adjoining restaurant. The desk clerk told me they toyed with charging for it for awhile but that hurt business. However, it's nothing more than cold cereal, bagels/toast, and juice or coffee...that's it. Would I stay here again? In a pinch, yes, but there must be nicer places nearby for a similar price...at least one that offers hot rather than cold showers.

Amy Bloch, the Concierge, contacted us about 2 weeks before our arrival asking if there was anything she could do for us either setting up any tours, restaurant suggestions and reservations or anything we might need. After asking for suggestions on restaurants she did send me quite a selection of different types of restaurants along with things to do around Hollywood and Los Angeles. When my friend and I arrived Amy greeted us at the front desk, welcoming us to the Roosevelt Hotel. The entire staff from the front desk, the guys at the valet parking, housekeeping and room service were outstanding. They couldn't do enough for us. Everyone at the hotel, especially Amy made our stay simply fantastic. The Roosevelt Hotel is the only place we would stay in Hollywood.

Downtown Los Angeles
It's a big place like Los Angeles, and the room is so small, I feel drunk too. It is too small to open the luggage, which is inconvenient to open. I specifically explained that I want a quiet room. The garbage truck on the street started to pull garbage less than 5:00 in the morning. The staff talked. I thought the window was not closed. As a result, there was no window for you to open. It was just a piece of glass with light. Just come in. A small refrigerator, placed on a shelf, but not in a cabinet. There is nothing in the refrigerator, but it is plugged in, and the operation noise is noisy all night. It will collapse when you live one day. No one will help you. Carry luggage. No one asks if you need help. Is this still Los Angeles I know? The beds are ok, moderately hard and soft. The location is good. It is convenient to walk everywhere, and around breakfast. Walking on HIlls street towards 3rd street, everything is there. May not stay here next time, unless there is no choice.

Los Angeles International Airport Area
Because of the proximity to the airport, the sound of the plane taking off and landing has never stopped, quiet is not enough, and I can sleep. The hotel room did not actively provide slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste. It was okay to call to ask the housekeeping to arrive. The bathtub has no glass door, just a plastic shower curtain. The shower faucet is fixed to the wall. There is a free shuttle to the airport 24 hours. The driver also helped to carry luggage up and down. The service was good.

My family has been using the Anza hotel for all of our trips to the Calabasas/LA area for the past 4 years or so, and we love it here. I hope we can continue to rely on the Anza for years to come. Beautiful rooms, superb location, and best of all they allow pets! The prices for rooms are very reasonable and they all have a nice "boutique feel" to them which adds something special. I want to add an extra note about my last stay here, which took place during the first days of the Covid-19 outbreak. I traveled alone without my husband and child to Calabasas/California because I needed to be with a gravely ill parent who soon passed away. Being able to stay in a comfortable hotel during this awful period was such a comfort to me, and I want to add that Ryan, who works at the Bistro restaurant and bar, was especially great to me during this time. Ryan prepared delicious meals for me, got to know me and my love for an evening glass of wine right away, and was a warm, friendly presence when I came home from the hospital at night (and in later days, came home to the hotel after days spent making final arrangements). Ryan and the team at the Anza who continued to work during the stressful days of Covid-19 "stay at home restrictions" were truly a blessing to me and I value, and am so grateful for, their work on the behalf of me and other guests who really needed a hotel stay for emergency reasons.

Everything was on point! All the staff were very accommodating! I arrived early Saturday and I was lucky to get a room early. Which helped a lot since we were on the go per our Soccer Tournament. When we needed a space to have our potluck in the evening they helped with our set up. Everyone was very friendly and customer service was amazing!
