Very Good1 Reviews
1.6km from Il Barone Trattoria PizzeriaHotel: The hotel has definitely seen it’s glory days, and might need a little bit of upgrade but that was nothing that we felt bad about. Spacious rooms with ocean view from the balcony(though we did stay in the main building and not in the fancy close-to-beach/pool rooms). The pool is located by the seafront and you need to walk there through a tunnel underneath the road from main building - that wasn’t a problem. To go down to the (very) small bar, and further down to the (very)/ small beach there were even more stairs and cliffs. Nothing for the weak ;) Clean and ok. Mini bar was close to empty on arrival (2 bottles of water)which was a disappointment and the bar was so and so. Very friendly and helpful staff, both by the pool bar, breakfast serving and reception. Ok breakfast, but not that much vegetables and mostly stuff for the sweet tooth’s. We didn’t eat at the restaurant. Location: a 20 minute walk to the center core, a 10 minute walk to the closest beach (with one very poor kiosk/restaurant); this hotel is located in a neighborhood with a lot of houses and industrial/military buildings. If you want to have beach for real you need to walk further closer to the port. Close to a grocery shop but you are NoT allowed to eat/drink what you bought in your room. Not that much restaurants around at all, those are closer to the center (and the beaches by the port). A 30 minute walk from the train station. Summary: if you feel like walking a bit and you are an explorer, splendid, if you feel like staying at one place and live full hotel experience - I don’t know, maybe? The hotel has it all, but it is huge and a lots of stairs to climb/walk for sour legs/baby carriers. The pool staff were very friendly to small children and helpful in general, but the pool were also somewhat overfilled by kids splashing around. Feels like this certainly is a home for native Italians/owners of the hotel more than tourists. Still, recommended.
