I had tried to drive into the centre of Ascoli Piceno at night and in the rain. The pedestrian area and one way system made for a nightmare. Impossible to get close to any of the hotels in the centre. I withdrew to the outskirts and received a warm welcome. They directed me to a nearby pizzeria for a snack. In the morning the staff spent ages recommending where to park for the centro storico, also where to stay outside town. Good value and convenient, recommended.

This place is a delight, great value for money. It is one minute's walk from the most beautiful square in Ascoli Piceno, and you can park your car in a nearby private car park. I couldn't find either the B&B (in a small side street) or thw carark, and so a lovely youbg hotel employee found where I was and drove my car (with me and the luggage in it) to the car park. My room was huge, beautifully equipped, with lovely soaps and shampoos and luxurious towels. On the day I arrived the air-con was off; the young employee and the owner were apologetic, lent me a bid electric fan and contacted the repairman. The owner referred me to a fantastic small reaturant next door, whose name is a clever pun:Osti-nati, which means both Born Innkeepers and Obstinate. I had a fish deguatation menu, which cost me only 30 Euros, inclusing a glass of wine.

Ascoli Piceno is a lovely small town and our stay at Albergo St Emidio was very pleasant. The old town is pedestrianization so we (with some difficulty) drove to the hotel and then got directions to parking on the peripheral road. It is about 2 km to drive to the parking lot but the walk back is only 200 metres-very close. The hotel gives a discounted price for parking, 5 euros/day, which is well worth it. The hotel is well located right in the middle of everything, close by all the sights and restaurants. Our room was a good size, bed very comfortable, bathroom fine with a full length mirror in the shower (!). The hotel, common areas and room were very clean and attractive. At nighttime it was extremely quiet and still. Breakfast was good with croissants, fruit, home baked cakes and cappuccino. All in all, a very good stay and I would recommend and return here!

My husband and I stayed here while visiting family. It was a great location off Piazza del Popolo. The staff was very accommodating. They met us when we arrived, and went over all of the details for payment, breakfast, etc. We had to check out very early to make it back for our flight home, and they helped accommodate that as well. The room itself was a good size, and it was well kept. Good wifi. There was a little kitchen area and a pantry to make your own breakfast - milk, juice, cereal, bread, fruit. Overall, it was a great experience.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Palazzo Guiderocchi in September. The room and bathroom were both spotless and spacious. The staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. The breakfast was very good. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the air conditioning was less than adequate. Luckily when we were there the temperatures were not overly hot. But since the AC was not working properly it was a bit warm in the room. We did have the AC checked and we were told the problem was corrected .... it was not.

This is the second time I've stayed in Ascoli Piceno. The first time was about 20 years ago and, if I remember correctly, there were only two hotels, neither one very good. I was glad to see that my first hotel had closed and was standing empty. The Palazzo dei Mercanti is on the opposite end of the spectrum. We were in suite 100 which is the only room on the ground floor. It is not for the mobility challenged (or men with an enlarged prostate or anyone who has had too much to drink in the evening) as the W/C is on the second floor. The suite is beautiful, very spacious and bright except for the poor reading light by the bed. The only change I’d make is to add a coffee table in front of the couch. I have to say that this is the only room I’ve ever stayed in that had a treadmill. I used it as I do the one at home and hung a shirt on it. The spa tub is massive and the shower stall has multiple settings. There is no 110V outlet in the bathroom, no wash/face cloths. The bath towels are very large but are not terrycloth. There wasn’t much room around the bathroom sink. No facial tissues. There were four pillows on the bed and all seemed a bit different from the others but all were firm. There’s a free minibar in the bedroom – soft drinks only. There are not a lot of clothes hangers but otherwise enough clothes storage for a stay of several weeks. No English TV channels. There is some street noise. Wifi was excellent. Breakfast is in another business next door. There were minimal offerings and this was probably the major negative of our stay. Parking is valet. Photos are attached. Thanks for reading. I’ll appreciate a thumbs up below if you’ve found this helpful. Also, you may now follow me on TripAdvisor. If you’re in the app, click on my name. Very nice hotel in a perfect position, only 2 min walking far from the central square of the city. Rooms are like small apartments with a small kitchen, everything new, well furnished and equipped for a relaxing stay. The cleaning service is well done. Breakfast is served in a tiny terrace with an interesting view of the building roofs in the surroundings. Staff is very friendly and professional.

We stayed 4 rainy, chilly days in Ascoli Piceno last May. The weather was not what we had hoped for but Anna's warm hospitality more than made up for the weather. And fortunately for us, she speaks English. She provided a map of local restaurants and places to see--very helpful! All of the restaurants she recommended were within easy walking distance from Luxury B&B (even in the rain). The rooms were warmly decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and included tasty homemade cakes. Yum-yum! We highly recommend Luxury B&B '700. It exceeded our expectations.
