0.53km from IL CormoranoHotel Cantore was lovely, just exactly what we wanted, well placed for access to Genoa and surroundings and the hotel staff were very welcoming and generous with their time to help us find our way around. Very clean, comfortable and good value for money. My sister and I came to Genoa for a concert and the theatre was just round the corner from the hotel which is why we picked it initially but we would definitely stay there again if/when we visit Genoa again.
1.31km from IL CormoranoThe Novotel Genova City is a fine place to stay if you are to catch a cruise ship. If, like us, you are thinking of walking into the old town to see the sights, forget it - the traffic is a nightmare and the area around the hotel is pretty unappealing. There didn’t seem to be anything open nearby on a Wednesday night. Checkin staff were polite and friendly - what we have come to expect from most Novotels in which we’ve stayed. The room was fine. The ambience in the bar was OK but the drinks were fabulous. We ordered a couple of martinis (you have to ask for a ‘Martini cocktail’ in Italy or you’ll get a vermouth) and enjoyed them so much, we had to order two more. I think the barman’s name was Marco - thanks for a fabulous martini cocktail. With nothing open nearby, we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant - good move. The 25€ buffet looked pretty ordinary so we decided on a la carte. We ordered a bulgar salad, a pasta with pesto (Trofie alla Genovese) and a costate de bovino. The salad and the pasta were delicious and the bowl was deep so we both got some to eat. The steak was perfect with baked potatoes. Breakfast next morning was not bad but, unfortunately, the coffee was disgusting.
1.35km from IL CormoranoSerafino Liguria Hotel is in Genova's suburbs, a 5-minute drive from Cristoforo Colombo Airport and a 30-minute bus ride from Genova's centre. It offers rooms with TVs and free Wi-Fi.The family-run Hotel Serafino has a bar where the sweet and savoury breakfast is served. Staff is available at reception 24 hours a day.Easily reachable from the A10 motorway, the hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Genova Cornigliano Station, and 200 metres from a bus stop.
1.67km from IL CormoranoWell, this is exactly what you can expect: take a look to the real pictures. This is a great example of a perfect corruption in the tourism public administration. How is possible to keep 4 stars !!! No words to describe the conditions of this hotel... not even a half star. Breakfast ??? C’mon... industrial ugly croissants and bottles of orange juice. Lots of military troops and shipping crews. By the way... no hot water in the shower but very cold. A nightmare. And no more hotel rooms available on that dates in Genoa due to a medical congress.
1.82km from IL CormoranoThis hotel has some very good point; the staff are generally very friendly and helpful, the room was very modern and the COVID-19 regulations were strongly enforced. However, the food in the restaurant was very poor. Very limited choice and the available dishes were mainly frozen. I ordered the fillet steak and side veg, the steak was average and the ‘veg’ had a soggy, sad and stale appearance . The secure car park wasn’t that secure as our van was broken into. The hotel maintain that they have CCTV in the car park but unfortunately it doesn’t cover where our vehicle was parked. The hotel management didn’t follow up on the break in, they just directed us to the police station. As previously mentioned, the room was very modern and had a great view. My only negative in regards to the room is that the tv is way too small for the large rooms offered and would freeze on certain channels for the duration of my stay. To briefly summarise, this has all the makings of a great hotel. It just needs to brush up on certain elements, especially the food. I’m looking forward to seeing how the hotel is doing in the future.
2.38km from IL CormoranoAbsolutely Vonderful place, very Nice HOTEL, very clean and comfy room, AMAIZING Breakfast, very good location, very Nice wooman on reception, THANK YOU VERY MATH FOR she, big and light room, AMAIZING HOTEL, i am very glad to stay there, THANK YOU VERY MATH AND GREAT GRATITUDE FOR YOU DEAR HOTEL TRE STAZIONI !!!
2.63km from IL CormoranoHonestly I don't even know where to begin. This hotel doesn't even make a 3 star rating. I checked in, went to my room. The duvet inner is probably from the 1980's. Visibility lumpy. Furniture is outdated. TV channels only Italian. AC worked for 3 days then stopped working, took 2 days of arguing with reception to get moved to another room. The shower in the 2nd room was spraying everywhere with no consistency with hot and cold water. Been asking more than 5 days to get the showerhead changed. The hotel is infested with mosquitoes as well as fruitflies. Trying to eat in miserable lobby restaurant is a challenge. They constantly run out of beverages. There is zero public health standard of any kind. Bread gets shared from one table to the next as well as the open bowl of parmesan cheese. Glassware and fruits get washed in same sink at the bar counter by the staff using bare hands no soap. Reception staff have no personality at all. They are abrupt and uninterested in your requests or complaints. Breakfast has watery or over cooked eggs. I gave up after day two. Prices here are also astonishing. For a plate of spaghetti and tomato with a beer, adds up to 33euro. The same meal in a small restaurant in town costs 8.50 euro. And the laundry prices...for one weeks worth of laundry...3 shirts, 4 tshirts, 2 pants, sox and underwear the total cost added up to 159euro!! Worst worst place to be (my stay here was prebooked and paid by a company), if I could I would have left the same day I checked in.
2.7km from IL CormoranoAbout a 5 minute walk from the train station and situated across from the cruise terminal and in the heart of the shopping area. The receptionist was so helpful she photocopied some thing I needed. Rooms were cosy, warm and very clean. Loved the shutters and once they were closed you didn't hear the traffic down below. Will definitely stay here again
2.77km from IL CormoranoWe stayed at this hotel for one night after a cruise. The location is perfect for the cruise terminal as it’s a very short walk across the road. There is also a metro station just around the corner and the main principal train is also a short walk away. Otherwise the location is somewhat disappointing with not much around the hotel. The staff are very helpful and made it clear when we arrived early that our room would be ready around 2:30pm. They stored our luggage so we could explored the city. When we arrived back at the hotel later that afternoon the staff remembered who we were and informed us our room was ready and had our luggage waiting for us. Our room was on the 2nd floor and there is a small elevator which has a 2 person maximum limit. The room itself is fine for an overnight stay. The bed wasn’t the best quality, squeaked and the springs were visible. The tv in the room didn’t have any English channels but it worked. There was also a fridge in the room but this wasn’t pulled in (not that we needed it). We went down for only a coffee in the morning but the cold buffet breakfast was laid out. Mainly sweet cakes, juice, meats and bread. I can’t comment on the price as we only had 2 coffees and were charged €1 each. We wouldn’t chose to stay here again. But the location for the cruise terminal is great.

2.83km from IL CormoranoWe had a room reserved at La Piazzetta months ago. Our train was delayed in France and I texted our new arrival time to Piazzetta. This caused them to tell me we would arrive too late and find another place to stay GOODBYE! (La Piazzetta. Don’t bother booking there.) So we walked off the train, out the front of the Principe Station, followed around the right curve of the building and there, literally across the street (one minute walk maximum) was the Hotel Galata. It was a great, last minute emergency place to stay and here is why: the night clerk, Norwin Ty took us right in. I looked ahead of time and the normal room rate for a double was €79. Norwin looked at us, looked at the clock (it was now 23:00 and we’d be leaving about 8:00) and he said, “The rate is normally €79 but I will give it to you for... sixty.” Now that is a good employee with great service. He makes a great espresso by the way. The room was not at all fancy or luxurious. It did however have everything we need. WiFi, great plug situation for charging. Lots of space and clear counter tops for storage (not cluttered with cutesy foo-foo). The room was large, clean, the bathroom had soaps and hairdryer and many towels (your choice of soft or rough). There is a refrigerator , AC, TV. Simple breakfast in the morning. Great location for a stop-thru on the train. Look. It was late at night and he could have tried to rip off the tired travelers. But he didn’t. I rate honest value pretty high. Five stars. But it’s not fancy.
2.86km from IL CormoranoLovely boutique hotel few minutes walk from the Central train station. Barbara and Anna were very helpful and friendly and spoke some English. The rooms are spacious and Everything was clean wooden floor so no musky carpets thankfully. The elevator is from the first floor. The street is lined with restaurants. The Palace and the churches are just a few minutes away. In all we had a fab time as we were walking every where and loving every moment of it.
2.93km from IL CormoranoWe stayed here for 5 nights and it was an excellent choice. The hotel is very near the train and bus station as well as a taxi rank. It is central for cafes and restaurants as well as the other attractions in Genoa. The hotel is spotless as was the room. The room was spacious and had good wifi and a safe. The bathroom was spacious with a good shower. The room was quiet and we slept well. The breakfast was excellent value with a lovely young woman keeping everything filled up. There was a good choice of breads, sweet pastries, hot and cold food, yogurts and tea and coffee. The breakfast room was spotlessly clean! All the staff we encountered were lovely and helpful. A real asset to the hotel!

Great hotel, the room was excellent! Huge King Size bed and very spacious. Beautiful bathroom, Italian style, huge with a bidet. Lovely, nice fluffy towels. Very clean. Loved it. The room looks out onto the harbour (Porto Antico), great view. There was a problem with the thermostat, room was too hot. No big deal but we couldn't get it fixed in time. The breakfast was very good, buffet syle, we enjoyed it. The dinner on the other hand was not so great. The fish was not so fresh, actually smelled and tasted fishy. The steak was not much to write home about, didn’t care for it so much. Due to Covid restrictions we didn’t have many dining choices. I don’t think we would eat dinner there again. However the service was excellent and the view of Porto Antico was great. Not to take away from the hotel itself, it’s excellent. The hotel is steps away from the Aquarium of Genova. Also steps away from the Piazza Principe. The Aquarium is a must see, the tour takes about 2.5 hours. Don't miss the dolphin feeding time! Amazing! We really liked NH Collection Genova Marina and will definitely return when we visit Genova again. Highly recommended.

The hotel location is very good and very clean. This hotel has stayed 4 or 5 times. It was not very pleasant. The room was very small and it was less than 10 square meters. It was not the standard room I booked, but the front desk insisted on the room type I ordered. I showed him to me. After booking the room type, he said that he is now full and there is no room to change. I said that it will be changed tomorrow. He said that they are all full. Later, although I changed it after Ctrip, it was very uncomfortable.
The hotel is very near to the train station, however the hotel street is very quiet, so you almost forget about that.
The room had plenty of space and was clean. Good value for the price, would stay more nights.
Conveniently located near a very nice shopping area, this hotel is comfortable. Despite the room was very small (approx 50 cm of space around a queen size bed), it was comfortable. Very quiet, very good quality of sleep. What I liked most and that to me is very high value are the complimentary mini bar and complimentary tea and coffee in the room. Yes, everything that you find in the mini bar is complimentary: water, sodas, snacks are completely free of charge. Bed is comfortable, room is clean, shower with strong regenerating pressure. Breakfast is good. Staff is nice. Again my room was very small, with a very very small wardrobe. It was enough for me because I was staying only two days spending very little time in the room. If I had to stay longer, the wardrobe would have not been be big enough accomodate clothes for more than two days and if I had to spend more time in the room I would have ended with becoming claustrophobic. I assume there are bigger rooms, so if you are two people or you need to stay longer than two days, reserve a bigger room or you won't fit in the room.
