|1.31km from city centerI had booked 4 nights (02 Feb 2023 to 06 Feb 2023) at horaios Malioboro hotel. However, I only stayed for 2 nights. I have to checked out 2 nights early because I did not feel Safe and secure to stay to the end of my booking. First night I stay here, there is NO safety deposit box which the hotel advertise on Agoda they have safety deposite box. The next morning, I went down to restaurant for breakfast. One of the staff from FnB looked at most of the time while im having my breakfast. The way that staff looked at me, like im a criminal. The second night of my stay, I released that the room door DOES NOT lock by itself. So, I complained it that night. The front office send a technician to fix it. However, the technician could not fix the lock. The technician suggested to me to lock it manually from inside. I told him what happen im leaving the room? How can I lock it from inside? He Said nothing he can do about it. They dont even thinking to move me to other room. So I have to check out 2 nights early. And No, the hotel DO NOT refund my money for 2 nights. For those who want to book at this (horaios malioboro hotel) better think twice.

The service from the entrance until the restaurant was excelent. The rooms was clean and comfortable. This hotel has swimming pool at the roof top and has magnificent view during the night. The location is very strategic, nearby city, Malioboro, Lempuyangan station etc. Zest Hotel will be your perfect accommodation choice during stay in this city. I was greet by Chacha, Rindi, and Aditya that assist during check in time. They were awesome, understand and know how to make the customer feels like home. Putra also give very quick service when i asking to deliver something to my room. The restaurant was good as always, Eka greet me with warm smile. Well, this is not my first stay at this hotel. And definitely so happy to stay again. The room was good, clean, and tidy. The Room Attendant have great hospitality. On this occasion was so special, since i went with my wife. The service was beyond my imagination, since they give us a memorable surprise in the room. Well we are not asking any special arrangement during reservation, but they did it. So touchfull ;-) Thank you Zest for always being my second home in Jogja and make our vacation more and more than happy ^_^

I don't think the cleaning was a bit slower, because there was still some hair on the floor at the beginning and there were some stains on the bed, snouts and gorden. For the facility, they should have soap but they're not provided and the tissue box is empty, but overall it's good.

The Atrium Hotel & Resort When you enter the gate, you already feel comfort and homy. All workers there will give you sincere smile and ready to help you. The room also look warm, comfort and clean. It provide basic need for that kind of room. (thank you for room decoration set up) This hotel also provide nice swimming pool and fitness center, great taste iftar and sahur. The rate is light but service excellent. The location is perfect (walking distance from Mediterranea to have Breakfast, kunch or dinner) and all the other delicious restaurants around. I saw on the Internet that the boss was Chinese, and sure enough she was a compatriot abroad! The boss and the staff were very enthusiastic. She helped me with all kinds of help, picking up the plane, consulting the attractions, calling for a car, and looking for her in all major matters. I felt annoying, but the lady was still very patient and helpful. !! Wish business is booming!

|0.97km from city centerGreat location! The hotel is located across from the train station which actually has a number of simple eating places and a minimart. Malioboro walking street is only a block away. It is packed at night with locals and tourists out to see and be seen. There is a mall on Malioboro street about 4 blocks away with a number of simple places to eat and a grocery store. Grab is always available and can take you anywhere in town for a few $US. The room price was about $33 per night with breakfast included. Being across from the train station, the horns on the trains woke me up multiple times each night. The bed was comfortable, the TV was good, the shower had decent pressure, but the toilet had a smell. Towels and sheets were stained and showed their age. The hotel will only give you one key, so if you have two or more independent persons staying here, room access would be a headache. The is no mini-fridge. I saw no other non-indonesians except me staying here. Front desk personnel spoke English but limited. Seating at breakfast was way too limited for the number eating, and several times when I went back for more I returned to find people seated at my table and unable to communicate because of language. I just sat in any empty spot and continued eating which freaked them out although they pretended to not see me sitting there. The restaurant staff spoke no English at all so ordering eggs or drinks was tough, and I did not get what was desired a lot. The lobby, elevators, and hallways were clean and modern. I like this hotel and may stay here again based on the location and bed comfort, but will likely skip the breakfast and ask for better towels and sheets upon check-in. I will post a picture of the horribly stained chair in the room which I just covered with one of the stained towels.

Thank you Salma has fulfill my request for room 705. The room was clean, suggest need intense in sofa cause i found stain. The breakfast so so, need improve for bihun goreng, too salty for me. I ordered room service 3 menu, but the rice for the tengkleng was not soft (bit hard), maybe Chef need check regularly before serving to the guest. And please maybe you can skip regulation for calling the guest in the room 1 hour before check-out. That's annoying for guest like me who frequently stayed many hotel around Indonesia & other countries. But If should, maybe you can call at maximum check out time (12.00 noon)

|1.21km from city centerWe chose this hotel in the last minute because we got cancelation from the hotel we booked. The first night i cant sleep at all because we were at the top floor and there was a water tank on top our room so we can hear everytime the machine went on. The second day we moved to another room in the lower floor, the room had wierd smell. I think the management didnt really care about the room , i can see the bathroom floor was all ruined and there is a blockage drainage, so everytime we took shower, there will be a little flood in the bathroom. Breakfast was very standard, but the kids loved the waffles. location was in the end of Malioboro, so if you want to Beringharjo you need to take becak or 20 mins walk. Dont forget it is right in front of train station so you will hear trains from time to time at night and in early in the morning. I dont think i will come back to this hotel.

We cannot sleep the whole night, due to constant beeping sound of the train preparing to leave. It is a sharp beeping sound that goes on the whole night. Even when it stop, you can still hear it play back in your mind.
Our facing is facing their pool, and sound from the pool, even conversation at wee hours of the night can be heard in our room.

|1.59km from city centerIt was an unplanned visit to Jogja. Found this hostel through Agoda. The room looked spacious and clean from the photos and it's actually real. The place is huge and modern. I booked 3 nights there. I arrived with Grabike late at night and the reception was still open. The lobby is huge where you can find desktop free for use, toilet, musollah and smoking zone. During registration, they'll need your passport and IDR50K for card deposit. They'll give you door card, breakfast coupons, a small towel and a blanket. They sell basic amenities with cheap prices as well and drinks. You also can rent a bike from the hostel. The 6 bed dormitory room I booked is not cramppy. Each room has a toilet with bidet and a shower. There's a free locker for each guest and that's where the power plug is if you wanna charge your phone. The room is equipped with AC but it's not strong enough during the day. But Yogyakarta isn't that hot during the day (if compared to Bangkok). For this cheap room, you'll get a simple, free breakfast every morning. The menu is changed everday and if you're a toast person, then you can order it for free the day before. You also can order a few other things later for a small amount of money. There's a new and cozy bar that serves local and western food. It's a nice place to hangout and smoke. This hostel is usually full with local travellers. If you like to know more Indonesian culture and interact more with the local you should come here.

|1km from city centerI stayed here for 3 nights and had a very good experience at the hotel. Staff are friendly and breakfast is ok. There is no TV here, but the Internet is not bad. All the cheap bike rental and tour places are in the alleys near the hotel which is really nice. I would say the biggest downside is that you save a little money and stay in the hotel or pay a little more for a better quiet room. Yogya is always a bit noisy: prayer meetings, planes flying over rooftops, the sound of trains and construction sites. But it was a unique experience and I will come again.

Access to the station and Mario Boro Street is good. It is a little hard to find, but the local people nearby guided me pleasantly. Wi-Fi is connected, TV is attached, cooler is also effective, but hot water does not come out of the shower. Mineral water and towels, toothbrushes and detergent are provided.
Some people can speak Japanese by the hotel staff.

|0.68km from city centerBest accommodation for 1 or 2 people. If you had a packer lodge outside of Indonesia, you would only have to stay there. The facility is very new because it's a new building. There are plenty of sofas and tables that are well maintained, clean and have a cup of tea or a bottle of beer. The bathroom shower is shared, but I've never been waiting in line. The bed is capsule type so it's private. I don't know the faces of travelers in the same room. Staff are good at English and friendly. I'm local college students. I applied for a jomblang tour and the article came late. Thanks to my friend who kept checking on the phone. One of our staff recently fell in love with IKON, so K-pop often comes out of the lobby. In Jakarta, I also attended Grabta all the time, and it's just located on Malioboro Street, so it's great for exploring or dining. If you check in, we will give you two pamphlets. The price is not much different from other travel agencies, and the contents are similar. The reception and payment were easy, so both Jomblang and Sunrise tours were done through the property. It's much better than a guest house in Korea for 2 ~ 30,000 won per night. If you are a Yogyakarta traveler or backpacker or not a hotel, this is a good choice!

Unique furniture and attentive staff. The best part for me is the housekeeping. When we checked in, we we're amazed by the cleanliness of the room. the room is spotless and something I really appreciate is a small chocolate given by the house keeping. Small things but really show how they care of their customer.

We stayed at this Novotel because of rave reviews mostly in Google and other sites that Malioboro street is “the place” in Jogja. But don’t expect much if you are an international /western tourist. I will write a separate review on Malioboro Street next. This review is about Novotel. It is a nice hotel. An ideal location to get started in Jogja if you’ve never been here before. We arrived late on our first night, which means we had only 1 full day in this area, which we found is more than enough in this area. I will explain why in my Malioboro Street review. We like everything about this hotel. The staff, the service, the room, the rooftop bar and swimming pool located on level 10. The best is the price. Great value for money for the 2 nights inclusive buffet breakfast, which was 2,555,501 rupiah booked through Accor. But don’t expect much from the buffet breakfast. It was limited in choice. Mostly cater for Indonesian. Good enough for a short stay.
