Stayed here for 3 nights with my wife in a much needed vacation. First time we travelled without our kids and were looking forward to be able to get some rest. Sadly this didn’t happen. The family staying in the room next door was extremely noisy waking us up everyday at 5am!! We directed our complaint to the front desk team, but they didn’t offer any feasible solution. Their idea of a solution was call us when it’s noisy and we’ll send security. The whole point was not to wake up early if I find myself calling to complaint then I’m already awake and upset. No follow was given on behalf of management and for the rate being paid and the brand running the property this would have been the least expected. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this property if you are planning to rest. Food and beverage was great and Cindy’s rooftop was very good. Recommend going there to eat but diner stay there.

I used an online travel website to search for a hotel room in downtown Chicago. I selected the Pittsfield Apartments & Suites, which now appears was a major mistake. I had a question, which required clarification directly from the hotel. The phone was answered by someone who sounded as though I had just woken him up. I started the question and he hung up. I called back and the hotel was now sending its calls to an automated system, which directed me to the Fulton Fish Market (?). The restaurant claimed this was not uncommon for the hotel. I finally got the same individual after calling back several times. When I asked him why he had hung up on me, he claimed the call had "spontaneously" disconnected. I asked for his name when he asked me "How he could help me". He refused to give me his name after my repeated requests. I hung up without ever receiving this individual's last name or employee number (if such a designation is used by this so-called hotel). If a man is know by his actions, then a business is known by its customer service. I do not understand why an online travel agency would purchase rooms in this so-called hotel with first investigating. Pittsfield Apartment & Suites apparently does not desire customers to such an extent that it would hire an incompetent individual like the person to whom I spoke. If a simple customer service process of answering a question is a problem for an hotel, stay away. CLARIFICATION: I DID NOT BOOK A ROOM.

[Location] Located in the city center of Chicago, it is a short walk to attractions such as Millennium Park, Cloud Gate, and Art Museum. There are buses and subways at the door very convenient to the airport or major attractions. But there is no elevator to the subway platform, only stairs. [Environment] This is a large hotel with 150 rooms on one floor. The lobby was magnificent beyond description. The elevator room is U-shaped, and the three sides are lifted to different floors. [Service] Compared with other hotels, the service is more average. Check-in time is 3:00 pm. If you arrive early, you must store your luggage and check in after that time. Either you pay $ 25 and she will arrange your stay right away. There is a tip to store your luggage downstairs. After 3:00 pm until the evening, the check-in queue was longer than the airport boarding pass. The front desk was also helpless to say that it was done like this every night. Then you can't make people check in earlier? Overall, in such a high-end hotel, the service really can't keep up. Wifi paid $ 19 a day. Parking for $ 87 a day. Everything at this hotel, you have to get it all with money. [Breakfast] OK. However, the price of 200 yuan per head is not cost-effective. [Room] The facilities are average and cannot be compared with the luxurious lobby. The most amazing thing is that there is a note on the mini bar: if you move a drink or food, it is considered a consumption even if you do n’t eat it, because there are sensors below it that scare me for a moment. The bath products used are from Crabtree & EVELYN.

The hotel is great, especially the location, very close to the attractions, the Millennium Park is 5 minutes walk, the wills sky tower is 9 minutes walk, the Chicago River Cruise is also 10 minutes from the Museum District, 25 minutes, the Navy Pier 32 minutes, in short You don't have to buy a bus card here, walking is enough. Especially to the airport is very convenient, two minutes to the subway blue line directly to O'Hare airport, very convenient. Breakfast has not been eaten. The room was a little bit small, I ignored it, and it was so perfect when I went out. It feels good. Only a little hotel received my estimate of $200 is a deposit. If there is no problem, I will return it. I will ask how long I can return to my account. The front desk said that I don’t know. The money was swiped directly from the credit card. A bit uncomfortable.

I checked into the hotel with no issues I was a little bit confused because there is not a lobby on the ground floor. It took me a moment to realize that I needed to go to the third-floor which was the lobby but I quickly figured that out. I could tell right away that it was well taken care of and the staff seemed genuinely happy I was there. I got into the elevator and used my room key to access the upper floors. Rode the elevator to the 20th floor and proceeded to room 2004. I went into the room and noticed right away that it was clean and sanitized. I like the old character of the hotel in my room and immediately loved the 15 foot plus ceilings. The room was big but the tall ceilings made it seem even bigger. I had everything I needed in the room. The bed was comfortable, I was on the quieter side of the hotel. The hotel is close to everything downtown. I walked to millennium Park in five minutes, the L train is right around the corner, I rode a scooter to the field museum and that took maybe 20 minutes. I walked to Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, Gino’s east pizza, the magnificent mile, shopping right around the corner and a target store within five minutes walk. I was also about a 10 minute walk from Willis Tower. I did take a cab to Wrigley Field to see a Cubs game and that was about $20. When my trip was over I grabbed my suitcase and backpack and walked to the L station, took the green line to the blue line and from there a 30 minute ride to O’Hare airport. No issues whatsoever. That was a five dollar ride. I definitely would recommend staying in this hotel.

Having spent a lot of time looking for the best hotel to spend the last two nights of our road trip around America, we came across some very favourable reviews for the Hotel Julian. The concierge on our arrival was nothing but helpful. The welcome we got from front desk was luke warm but this wasn’t a huge issue. We asked for a quiet room (as we always do) as we are very light sleepers. Off we went to our room, to discover that the room was literally opposite the elevator. This is certainly not the definition of a quiet room. Upon entering the room, we discovered that the view out of the window was of another skyscraper which couldn’t have even been much more than a few metres from our building. This created an incredibly dingy atmosphere in an already tired looking room. On balance, we decided to ask to be moved as we were paying a high room rate and had wanted this last hotel stay to be special. We rang down to Reception to explain our concerns and hence began the most dreadful experience we’ve had in terms of customer service in over 100 hotel stays around the world. The man on Reception (sadly I’ve forgotten his name) was one of the rudest people I’ve ever spoken to. He told us that there were no other rooms available at the rate we had paid. We explained that, as we were checking in early, this seemed hard to comprehend. He refused to find a way to resolve our disappointment and so I asked to speak to a a manager. At this point, I was told no manager was available and that I should email the manager. Clearly, this would not provide an instant resolution to the issues we had raised so I queried why he was unable to solve the issue himself. He told me he had no authority to do so and I’d have to take it up with the manager via email?! Never have I known a hotel leave someone in charge who was not ‘allowed’ to authorise a room change/small upgrade to rectify a legitimate concern. The discussion continued for some time, with the man on Reception eventually telling me to either put up with the room or move to another hotel (I kid you not). I told him in a calm and non-aggressive manner that this was no way to treat a paying customer - at which point he hung up the phone on me. By this point, we were so incensed by this behaviour, that we decided to move our six suits cases to another hotel due to the manner in which we were treated. When we got to Reception, there was no sign of aforementioned man so we explained things to the concierge. He was flabbergasted by how we had been treated and was also shocked by the following conversation and the conduct of the receptionist. When he eventually came out of his office, he told us that his manager agreed that we should take the room we were given or move on! I explained that we would be moving and asked for email confirmation that we would not be charged for our non stay. By this point, I had zero trust in the process. It then took this gentleman 15 minutes to send an email confirming that a

I had booked a last minute trip to Chicago's Virgin Hotel to spend some time with my daughters. From the first minute we walked in the service was impeccable. This continued throughout our stay everytime we walked in or out of the hotel (many times). The location was perfect to shops, restaurants, Riverwalk, beautiful architecture, and many other visual attractions. The only downfall to our visit was it was Covid season and many restrictions to places we could go to watch the football game and/or eat as the restaurants were all closed in the hotel. That was a safety issue for the guests so it was appreciated they weren't open. The one thing I'd recommend is for them to have a list of what was open nearby and what was offered (dine-in, delivery, take out, etc.). We were able to find places on our own, but it would have saved us the time from searching/calling around. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel!!

We stayed here years ago, and while we loved it then, it was even better now! Adam Gurgiolo is a great manager who runs a fantastic hotel, in the best location in Chicago! He clearly values service, and making someone’s day, which is then exhibited by the entire team. Such great leadership! There were too many terrific employees to mention but here are just a few: Hector and Antonio are wonderful doormen. They’re both so personable and service oriented. They’re always present in the moment, and make you feel important, without ever rushing the chat. I could’ve talked to Mark at the front desk all day. He’s a terrific person who we discussed so much with - plays, transportation, tours, and always with a smile and such sincerity. Ashley’s smile is infectious and she was super friendly and helpful. John is a great new addition to the front desk team as he fits right in with his nice personality, and Selwyn was super service-oriented and fast when we needed something. The rooms were excellent, and upgrades are totally worth it if you can afford it or have an option to upgrade. Last time we stayed here, they were still called Meditteranean Suites, and I have to say the renovations since then are so awesome. Furniture is SO comfortable, practical and trendy. Bathrooms in the king river suite and premium double queen river views were beautiful, spacious and very practical. While we’ve loved the window seats before, this time (after renovations) they’re even nicer, with such updated, great decor in every part of the room. Between the high ceilings and huge window seats, the rooms seem bigger than the advertised square footage. Like others said, you really can sit in those windows for hours and people watch, because the hotel location is so fantastic. Plus, nowadays, it’s all about the photo opp, and our daughters enjoyed posting pics from these window seats and rest of the hotel. Housekeeping was efficient, timely and thorough. Finally, the restaurant, Fitch & Co, was solid. We all had breakfast there, and we all enjoyed our meals. We didn’t visit the lobby wine hour, but it looked nice, with lots of wine…. The sitting area by the fireplace was really nice and very comfortable. You never know what kind of weather you’ll get on vaca. It rained during 75% of our trip, so having a beautiful hotel with super friendly people to call “home” during a vaca is a great way to enjoy a trip, even when the weather just doesn’t cooperate. Plus, the location is really safe and close to everything (theater, restaurants, river walk, parks and attractions) which is convenient, regardless of good or bad weather. We love Kimpton in general, and this one is our favorite for sure! This hotel was a huge reason we loved our trip! From Bill and family from NJ, we’d like to give a big thank you and shout out to Adam, Selwyn, Mark, Ashley, Hector, Antonio and John for helping make this a terrific trip! 😊

The hotel has a good location, just beside Michigan Avenue, and convenient to all major attractions in Chicago. The hotel environment is also very good. It is quiet and clean. The space is large enough. There is sufficient hot water supply, but there is no hot water to drink. We brought our own heat The most distinctive feature of the kettle for boiling water is the hotel’s robots, which can deliver water and daily necessities, which are available on demand, great! We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are many restaurants around, which are very convenient. The waiters in the hotel are very good and the service is very warm and thoughtful. This is my fourth stay at this hotel and I have always found the employees to be kind and helpful and everything working without a hitch. However, this time around my room had a problem with the thermostat and heating, and although it's March, the last two days have been very chilly, and the heater was emitting cool air most of the time, rather than warm air, even when I turned the thermostat up to a high temperature. This was very bothersome to me (I didn't want to change rooms since otherwise my room was perfect), so I talked to the front desk about this, and Mirsad, the assistant engineer of the hotel, was in my room ASAP and checked the thermostat, the unit itself, left to get a part, showed immense concern for my well-being (I was cold, especially at night), and took care of the problem. I was impressed by this employee's professionalism and the effort he made to ensure the heating/cooling unit and thermostat were working well. I have yet another three days here at the hotel, and my room is now warm and comfy. Excellent customer service, which is what it's all about.

The hotel is very clean and tidy. The biggest feature of the room is the floor-to-ceiling windows. The scenery outside the window is very clear. Although there is no bustling Michigan Avenue, it is still good! There is a bar on the 18th floor of the hotel, not big. The hotel has a restaurant on the left side of the hotel entrance, named Somerset, in the room can also book this restaurant in the room dinning, about twenty or thirty minutes to deliver the meal to the room. I really like the bathroom's minimalist wash suit, which is white tea, especially fragrant and comfortable. Shopping, dining and entertainment are nearby. Not far from there are Chinese restaurants, such as Imperial Lamian, Old Sichuan, MingHin Cuisine, Shanghai Terrance, which are just a few minutes from Uber. Royal chef and old Sichuan are very popular! It is also 10 minutes from the hotel to the famous scenic spot Michigan Avenue, which is also close to Navy Pier and Millennium Park. The fly in the ointment is that the sound insulation in the hotel is not good, the guests from the opposite side of the room can hear the opening of the door, but the overall is good!

So super close to great shopping and fun things to do, including my favorite deep dish pizza in Chicago, Giordano’s, which is 3 blocks away! The hotel matched all the criteria I was looking for and it was available for a reasonable price so I booked it. After I booked it, I called to confirm the details of the shuttle and the service I received was not great; I thought it was a one-off but actually that was the type of service I was going to receive throughout my stay. My family arrived before me and even though we had called to confirm the airport pickup and shuttle times, we were told 'just call when you arrive and the shuttle will be there'. Every time we asked we got a different response - one person said the shuttle ran on a schedule and another said that it was upon request. We tried taking the shuttle three times - once from the airport, once to the airport, and once again to the airport and each time it was EXTREMELY delayed and/or it was a guesstimate as to when it would actually go. After that, we stopped using the shuttle at all. The hotel is located about 10 minutes away from the airport and is located across the highway from the Rosemount train station. The hotel looks like it was built in the 1950's with a high hotel and a huge parking lot. You have to cross the huge parking lot and walk across the highway on a pedestrian bridge to access the train - its not bad during the day but can be a little sketchy at night. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance and there are lots of delivery options available as well (we did a delivery option and when it was delivered to the hotel, they were told to leave it on the table in the lobby. We went down to pick it up and no one confirmed to ensure it was our order so you can pick up any order you want). The lobby was designed in a circular fashion with the check-in desks to the left, the bar and restaurant straight ahead, the elevators to the room on the right, and the concierge desk also on the right. We checked-in and were not given any information and in fact the attendant could not have cared less (even though there was no one behind us). We received our key and proceeded to our room. Even though the area for the hotel was large and the hotel building looked large, the rooms were smaller than I expected. As you entered, there was a bathroom on the right and a closet on the left side. The bathroom was standard and contained a sink, a toilet and a bathtub - the only negative about the hotel was the minimal space. The closet was also a standard hotel closet and contained shelves, a place to hang clothes, an iron and ironing board, as well as a safe. Further into the room, on the right side were the 2 double beds with a nightstand in the middle. The beds were decent and provided a good nights sleep - again the space between the beds were tighter than anticipated. In front of the beds was a chest with a drawers on the bottom and a TV on top. Next to that was a desk on wheels so you can move the desk around the room. Along the wall were windows which were a nice addition as it

Juan checked us in early after we explained we had to be at a very important family party in the early afternoon. We were very fortunate there was a room available for us. He was very helpful and the room we had was on the first floor for two nights. I agree that the place needs some updating and TLC, but the people that work there couldn't be nicer! That being said, one big suggestion from two senior citizens: put some non slip grips in the tubs because they are quite slippery and we had to be careful not to fall while taking a shower! Parking is nearby and not at all as expensive as the downtown hotels. There is a parking garage down the side alley that is $25/day and also another garage at Walmart across street. There is a nice bench out in front of the hotel where you can wait for an Uber, or just people watch. We have stayed at the Willows several times due to our daughter living nearby in Lakeview. Also, someone said they only got one set of towels and they were small. We thought the opposite. There were a few sets of towels, they were quite large and smelled good!

Chicago Loop
The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to Millennium Park, Glitter Park, and the Art Gallery of Chicago. It is a 10-minute walk to Lake Michigan and the cruise ship terminal. There is a Cantonese restaurant near the hotel, which is very delicate and tastes very good. The net red deep pizza restaurant Giordano's is also nearby. Next to the hotel is a CVC store, shopping is super convenient. The hotel is in a good environment, the view of Lake Michigan can be seen in the room, the service is good, the room is clean. A recommended hotel
