B&B Giorgi is a gem hidden in the old historical town. While the place is difficult to find in the zillion of little alleys of this historical part of the city, it is worth the effort. Do not attempt to drive in the historical part. The streets are so narrow and confusing, that even with my tiny car, I had to fold the mirrors! We had the room on the ground floor with two double beds. Its own entrance. It was huge. The bathroom however is small, specially where the toilet is located. One has to duck. I have not had the chance to view the other rooms. The owners were delightful and the place is pet-friendly. The location is quiet. One can have a good night’s rest. I recommend not to drag suitcases to the place. There is no parking, therefore travel light if you plan to stay here.

Stayed here in September 2018 with a tour group. The hotel is in a good location within approximately 15 minutes stroll from the centre of Martina Franca which we thoroughly enjoyed. The outside seating area is lovely and the pool was popular although we didn't use it personally. The staff were friendly but spoke limited English. The hotel seems very popular with Italian families. The room was very basic with a hard bed, limited furniture and no decorative features (like the pictures I have seen in the photos). The "wardrobe" was a sort of small annex with a sliding door and a sensor light which would be fine but there was also a window with no blind, so you had to make sure you were both decent before you opened the door to the wardrobe - strange to say the least. The shower room was fine but the shower itself was so small that you ended up switching it off if you moved. I went to a local hairdresser instead of attempting to wash my hair in it. I am 9 stone 7 so I don't know how anyone larger manages. There was a reasonable variety at breakfast but the layout of the rooms make it a bit of a bottleneck and not ideal for a tour group who are going on a trip and therefore may all be at breakfast around the same time (annoying for other guests I'm sure as well) One point - the cereal was almost empty one morning and the next day it had been topped up - but with a different cereal! - It made me wonder how often the container was washed but I didn't eat any more cereal as two mixed together didn't really appeal. This hotel could be really good with a little planning and attention to detail as it is in a great location and its outdoor space is lovely.

The hotel is about a 15 min walk to the Historic centre of Martina Franca...well worth a day at least...but just don't try to park in the town! The hotel car park is large and easy to get in and out of. Alberobello (Trulli Town) is about 25 mins drive, Locorotondo (with working/inhabited trulli all around) about 15 mins, Ostuni and Cisternino (white hill towns) about 30 mins away, and Brindisi airport about an hour. Certainly a lot to do within easy reach. A lot of tour parties use this hotel....French, Scandinavians and Irish when we were there. We were on half board, so had a wider menu choice, and always a table outside the main dining area. The half board cuisine is heavy on Puglian dishes...all excellent, pastas, risottos, a lot of local vegetables, octopus, cuttlefish etc., and the restaurant service was excellent. Many local wines on the wine list, and if you do not want a full bottle every day, the staff will carefully stopper and label your bottle for use the next day. Breakfast is a self service buffet. Some have criticised this, possibly a little unfairly, in my view. A limited range of good fruit juices (pear!), and fresh fruit, but then the standard Italian fare of cheese, ham, salami, fresh rolls. Add some good muesli (and other cereals) some dried fruit and fresh yoghurt, boiled eggs (you cook 'em) croissants, toast, butter and a range of jams in pots (and proper marmalade!) In Italy we never risk tea, but the coffee was good and plentiful. Really not much to fault. The owner, Antonio, keeps a watching brief on dinner, and he and his wife eat the same food as the guests...so quality is well up to the mark. The pool is large, and was almost empty when we were there...although I believe local residents can also use it on Sundays. Our room...404....was large, with a proper balcony (many others have juliette balconies only), the air conditioning worked well. Everywhere was very clean. Wifi was free and worked well. Reception was always staffed by friendly helpful people....who speak good English (not always so common in his region, and my Italian is minimal!). We found it a good location, good value, with a very helpful owner and his staff, and good evening meals! if in Martina Franca again, we would go back.

I live in London and went to Puglia to get married in August. I couldn’t have ever expected the staff to make the day and the entire week so unbelievably incredible for me, my husband and all our guests. Each and every staff member, without exception went above and beyond every minute of every day to make sure we were well catered for, always thinking ahead making it seamless. The food was always plentiful, reasonably priced and the best I’ve ever tasted, and all of our guests said the same. We couldn’t be more thankful to Alessandra the property manager who took it upon herself to make sure everything went perfectly. Just the absolute best, it’s actually difficult to put it in to words. Giuseppe you made sure we were having fun every day and you helped to create memories that will never be forgotten. On our wedding day you were there every step of the way, thank you so much! The rooms in this hotel are luxury and beautiful, beds are comfortable and every room is well situated. The pool is stunning, and so too are the surrounding areas. Its so peaceful and everyone kept talking about when they would return! We also can’t wait to do so :) Thank you to every single member of staff, we feel incredibly lucky to have stayed at Villa San Martino and to of celebrated the most special week of our lives there. This is the most charming place. This is a genuine Trullo that was a family home and has even lovingly restored into 4 separate trulli. Each has its own outside area. Shared pool which is beautifully kept and in a stunning location on a hilltop overlooking the vineyard , olive trees and hay fields. It is well located in central Puglia, ideal for travelling by car to and from local towns and beaches further afield. The family work the vineyards producing beautiful wines and invite guests to a delightful wine tasting evening, tour of the vineyards and appetisers cooked by ‘mama’ in front of you in the outside kitchen. There is an outdoor bbq for anyone to use. We took part in an evening of cooking Italian food ands then feasting in the grounds with friends, sharing the locally produced wine. A really perfect week for a family with children of any age. There is a table tennis table, and a swing for younger children. And a lovely little family dog called Mima.

Amazing place. Can only find poitive words to describe "La Rosa dei Trulli" and its hosts. We felt like at home! The distance to the center of Alberobello is a 5 minutes drive, easy to reach. Our "Trullo" was very clean and we had literally everything one needs - bottles of water, milk, orange juice, spices, zwieback, jam, cookies, even pasta and tomato sauce and all kind of spices. Then shampoo in the bath room, a washing machiene and a dishwasher and obviously all you need for it. Books, games for families like chess, even a night light in case one is scared to sleep in the dark, etc. In the morning, the hosts even got fresh croissants for us and left them in a chest next to the house door. Can only recommend this place!

We planned to stay 1 or 2 nights but stayed 5 nights! We loved the place, the scenery the host, the room, the location, the atmosphere, the breakfast. Everything. The owner, friendly and caring Hugo, provided us with excellent information, maps and directions with respect to where to go what to see, where to eat and what to do. Trully Gallo Rosso is located in the Itria valley, approx 0.5-1.5h drive to any place in Puglia. The place was renovated by Hugo, who paid attention to every detail, making the place cozy, beautiful and very special. Thank you, Hugo, for a wonderful experience Roni and Oron

Trulli Colarossa is by far the best private accommodation I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world, with no exception! From the perfect setting to the incredible hospitality we received I am already planning a trip back to this idyllic resort-style authentic accommodation. Even before arriving we were greeted by Ioanna via email and felt looked after straight away. Booking the property was really simple and Ioanna was really patient with me with all of the questions I had prior to departing the UK. We were arriving later in the evening (around 9pm) from the UK and needed to sort out both dinner for the first night and breakfast for the following morning which we were concerned about as weren't sure if shops would be open. We were told not to worry at all about this, and even during the current pandemic situation (which doesn't allow the usual B&B service) Ioanna and Donato went out of their way to supply us with the most incredible breakfast spread (complete with cheeses, assorted hams, fresh figs, bread and a homemade cake which Donato's mother makes!). They also arranged a reservation at a local restaurant which was amazing and such a nice touch. The level of service and hospitality was set on the first night and carried through the entire stay. Donato was more like a personal concierge at a 5* hotel rather than a property host - every morning we spoke with him about our plans for the day and he suggested other places to visit, free parking in all places (which was an absolute god send!) the best local restaurants to visit and he even made all of the reservations for us with special requests to be seated in the best places in the restaurants, I can honestly say I have never felt as looked after as I did when staying here. We mentioned in passing that we really enjoyed his mother's cake and when we came back from one of our day trips found that she had made some more and let it in our Trulli - what an incredible touch! The Trulli itself is situated about 3 minutes drive outside of Alberobello (or a 15-20 minute walk). It's in a perfect location to explore the Puglia region, and benefits from being set back from the roads which creates an oasis of calm when staying on the property using the facilities. We stayed in Trulli Viola and was such a joy - the pictures honestly do not do this place justice (even though the pictures are also incredible). We hadn't had a night's sleep as good anywhere else as we had here - it was around 26-28 degrees during the day but the Trulli retained the cold well and was a really good temperature inside. There was one night that I did get a bit hot but I really like sleeping in a very cold room - I asked Donato if there was a fan that we could use and within 10 minutes got a reply from him saying that they had just put the fan in our room...incredible service continued! When all of the shutters are closed inside it is PITCH BLACK, which for us was amazing as it meant we could sleep without any disturba

I’ve booked and I entered a magical place. The time stoped while we walked into that courtyard, and into our “Trullo” that was surprisingly not spartan like others visited before, but arranged and restored like an elegant countryside retreat. The bed, the wardrobe, the details, all belonged to an old time of elegant country lifestyle. In the refrigerator there’s a bottle of milk, just taste it, and you’ll feel the impulse of running towards the stable to thank the cows! Thank you so much! Alfredo and Alessia

We came here for 5 days. Two adults and a teenager. The hotel was fully booked so we had three of us in our room however the rooms are spacious and and there is plenty of wardrobe space and our plentiful towels were changed daily. Also the air conditioning in the room isn’t noisy and is extremely effective bearing in mind the temperature was over 30 while we were there. I’ve read other reviews of the shared terrace and that is true however everyone else is there to have a quiet time so we didn’t find this a problem at all. Breakfast is plentiful and yes as others have mentioned a lot of it is out of machines however this is balanced by a huge honeycomb, loads of fresh cakes and pastries and as much bread, ham and cheese as you want. Coffee if you have a specific request can also be made by the very friendly staff who are always on hand. Dinner at the hotel was lovely with a great choice and a good wine menu. There is also the option to eat on the terrace or inside. The pool is probably one of the most practical I have seen in a hotel for families. It has a small jacuzzi, a gently shelving shallow end and a substantial deep end for more serious swimmers. One of the staff acts as a life guard too. There are also plenty of sun beds. The pool side bar is friendly and the food served there is not just sandwiches but a varied menu or pasta, fish and salads. Finally the staff are probably the key highlight at this family run hotel. They are friendly and constantly helpful and always there if you need them even when they have a big wedding on- there were two weddings when we were there. In summary we will be back!

Idyllic. Very peaceful and secluded but central enough to allow for easy travel to surrounding towns and true Puglia. This place is classy, it’s accommodation is comfortable and fitting for the destination you came to discover. Camille and Luca and the staff totally get the essence of service, so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They will ensure that you are very happy. I would rate Masseria Lazzo Scagno as 10/10. Improvement? It would be fantastic if the beautiful food prepared for breakfast could be replicated at night but maybe that would detract from the peaceful serene calmness and don’t let this stop you from booking here - just eat out locally or during the day. It’s a fantastic choice and well deserved of its rating on Trip Adviser. I’m fussy and this place did not disappoint. If you are looking for a bit of peace and quiet with absolutely stunning surroundings in a place I believe is relatively off the beaten track at least to British travellers then this fits the bill. An easy fight from Manchester and a fairly straightforward journey by car to Martina Franca it’s very accessible but sufficiently secluded. Pool area is really smart and very neatly put together. Camille, Luca and Anna thank you so much.

We stayed in an upstairs apartment in this old and attractive farmhouse, set in a peaceful semi-rural area but very convenient to Alberobello for shopping and visiting the complex of trulli houses. We loved Locorotondo, also close by, a traditional hilltop town with lots of character. The apartment was comfortable and beautifully converted and fitted out, looking out over large gardens or smallholdings all around, with olive trees and the like. The kitchen was fine for cooking our meals in. You can readily park on one side of the house, and the grounds around it offer sunny or shady corners to relax in. Giulia was very welcoming and helpful, and as others have said produced an excellent breakfast each day, with wide choice, and fresh home cooked omelettes, cakes, and much more. It was a delight.
