1.33km from Infinity RestaurantSadly, not a good experience for me here. Booked on-line through their website. Was sent a text asking for my time of arrival and was met by a friendly young man, KC, as it is not easy to find if on foot from the train station (no signage outside) and using Google maps. It is clean, with freshly laundered bedding and all it states on its website, Flowers in the room, tea and coffee making facilities etc. With the exception of no carpet on the stairs and a force nine gale blowing through the window due to a broken seal. Also on the down-side, tiny shared bathroom and toilet which had urine all over the floor in the morning. Not nice in bare feet! Being an actor and rehearsing long hours and not on a high wage, I was woken by a family, a room but one away from me at 4.30am. Non-English speaking, their loud conversation went from their room to the landing and then downstairs to the kitchen area where it continued. No consideration for other guests. I left for work, after not being able to get back to sleep at 8.30am. On arriving back that evening after work and tired through lack of sleep, I packed my bags and by phone, informed KC of the situation and that I was checking out (you leave your keys in a box on the stairs. Odd!) He apologised and said the family in question had been moved to the other house over the road. Ah! So, there was obviously a problem. Mmmm! I wonder how many other guests had complained? Long story short, I messaged the hotel on the number given to me and via their website. Eventually, three days later after prompting them again, I received a call from a haughty Mary who informed me there was no refund for the four nights remaining on my booking (over £100). I received no apology and no e-mail (I checked my e-mail and spam folder) which she said had been sent. Appalling Customer Service and bad manners! NEVER AGAIN!
