|9.26km from city centerI booked last minute with points. Was given an excellent waterfront room. I had a couple of hours to kill so I checked out the bike loan. They had NEW well maintained bikes in a variety of sizes. I was fitted and provided a helmet and lock. I am a Hyatt globalist. Breakfast was nice and I got a $30 voucher to make up for the lounge being closed. It paid for lunch at Oyster Catchers. My only regret is they do not have an airport shuttle.

|15.3km from city centerWe were in Sept,26 during Hurricane IAN and thanks to the management and all its staff we spent a night at the hotel with all the attention we needed, especially the care and attention of the manager, Brenda who was very friendly and attentive, her employees attentive and helpful. In all the time that I have lived in Tampa I had not been in that hotel but if I needed it or recommended it that is A + because of the situation of this emergency but because i felt at home and without counting the breakfast that in any case A, hotel i had expected to find ,wao that was amazing ,in other hotels where i pay more only give you an orange and coffee , lol in this i felt like in ihop and more ,i congradulate you and every time you need or have to recomend them this will be the hotel ,you will choose,thanks to all in special brenda the manager her very attentive and helpfulmanager a pleasure . , LUIS A.

|16.39km from city centerWe stayed here for a week for a wedding, the room was clean, the bed was comfy, I didn't care that there were no cooking utensils because I mostly just wanted the fridge and microwave in case we had any left overs from us going out to eat. Staff was friendly and when ever we needed anything we got it. Location great, not far from the family we were visiting. There were many guests that I could tell lived there and that's fine but there were some creepy/shady guest there and once there was a time where I thought maybe a drug deal was going on, we were coming back from dinner and there was a creepy looking guy at the door next to us knocking using code and saying ”maintenance” in a very quiet tone over and over, it wasn't that late, maybe 9pm so I thought he didn't need to whisper. I saw many employees and maintenance guys while there and they all had Woodspring shirts on and badges! This guy was scarey and acted weird just very uncomfortable. I didn't mention to front desk or anything maybe I should have, I could have just been being paranoid. I did smell pot many days we were there, inside the halls!!! Overall stay was good but next time I will stay somewhere there is a pool (not sure if Woodsprings has pools but if they did I would stay there) as that would have been nice on the horribly hot and humid days we were there and didn't feel like driving all the way to the beach.

|15.56km from city centerMy daughter recently completed her first year at USF. I live about 3 hours away and this was my 4th visit to Tampa area. The 3 previous stays were at a ”boutique” hotel on Fowler - the visits degraded from my first time to the point the Fowler hotel became sketchy - so I opened up my search area, and WAS SO HAPPY to have booked a stay at the Residence Inn Tampa @ USF/Medical center. The lobby was CLEAN with FRIENDLY staff - the ”mini-mart” that they had outside the lobby was fully stocked with EVERYTHING you may need during your stay. I LOVED seeing the tamper proof seal on my hotel room door, AND the fact the REMOTE CONTROL was sanitized and in a sealed baggie... that did it for me! The room was beautiful - the fully stocked kitchen made door dash obsolete. The fact that there is a Starbucks literally within walking distance made my stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast selections were fresh and plentiful. This is definitely my hotel of choice when visiting my daughter!

|12.42km from city centerThis hotel rocked it! Hurricane Ian was heading our way so we made reservations as we are in Zone A and needed to evacuate. Large rooms, hot and great pressure showers, serving hot breakfast during hurricane, offered pumpkin pie and were super friendly and accommodating! Also our bed was very comfortable! Housekeeping kept checking to see if we needed towels and the front desk couldn’t have been more pleasant during stressful time! Thank you so much! Would definitely stay here again!

|16.25km from city centerThe first impression was not the best. The desk clerk was a bit rough. The room was an average 2 bedroom room. The beds were comfortable and there were 4 good pillows. Asked the desk clerk for extra blankets and was told that they did not have any. That was a first. Have never heard that before. The room was well lit. There were no USB ports. There were a coffee maker, a microwave, and a fridge. The fridge needed defrosting. TV was good. There was no booklet with emergency info, TV channel listing, hotel info, area attractions, etc. The shower was very nice. Large walk-in. No tub. Water pressure and volume were poor like most hotels. The toilet seat was very loose. The air conditioning worked well and was quiet. The bag breakfast was pathetic!! Overall, not a bad place to stay for the price.

|11.65km from city centerI would not book a stay here. The hotel is not the cleanest. The rugs look old and dirty, the place smells musty, and the couches look like they stained. We saw some bad reviews online but was assured by Priceline that the hotel was highly rated/highly favored, so we decided not to cancel. Bad idea! After night 1 in our first room, we noticed old Kraft mac and cheese under the AC unit (like old old) and there was a pair or children's panties in the shelf of the bathroom. Which means they gave us an uncleaned room. We complained, they changed our room. The next room (still very musty) SEEMED fine. The day we checked out, I noticed 2 bites on my stomach. Then a bunch on my legs, more keep appearing as the days went on. They were NOT mosquito bites, the room definitely had bed bugs. My husband and daughter were bit as well. We are praying we did not bring anything back with us. I wrote to the corporate office and their response was to offer me points towards another stay. I WILL NOT be staying at another Comfort Suites Hotel ever again. They also told me to write to the hotel, I have yet to hear back and it's been a week. Next time, I will pay a bit extra for peace of mind.

They were incredibly friendly and helpful….a big shout out to LaLithia at the front desk who was awesome and helped us upon check-in. The glass of complimentary sparkling wine upon check-in is a nice touch. The complimentary coffee in the lobby from 6 am until noon is also a nice and appreciated touch. Our room was very spacious and very clean. I am giving my review a 4 start vs 5 star because of the room decor and, quite frankly, the hotel (hallway decor) as well. Whoever was in charge of interior design should be fired! Our room was incredibly depressing because EVERY wall except the entry hall was painted a DARK gray. The carpet (new at least) was also a DARK gray. The bathroom was ….guess what….a DARK gray. Because the hotel is a converted old court house, the ceilings are high and made of cement so there is no recessed lighting (understandable). BUT, there wasn’t even a floor lamp in our room. It was SO DARK and DEPRESSING. Needless to say, we felt we were living in a CAVE. When you stay at an upscale hotel for a getaway or mini vacation, you expect to feel happy and uplifted. The decor did just the opposite. In addition, our room was lacking ANY seating area other than the bed and a desk chair (at bar height to match the bar height desk). It was CLEARLY MISSING a couple of comfortable occasional chairs. We called the front desk as soon as we walked into our room and requested a couple of chairs. They brought us 2 stacking chairs. I guess it was the best they could do under the circumstances but they certainly weren’t comfortable chairs that one would want to relax in. Also, the TV was very small given the size of the room and the distance from the bed to the TV. As for my reference to the hotel decor, and specifically the hallways, Marriott fell so far short in making this hotel what it COULD be given its unique history and architecture. When you walk down the hallways the bottom half of the walls have old marble (a nice touch and vestigial feature of the court house) BUT the top half of every wall is BARE. It is just COLD and lacks ANY sign of nice decor. Why wouldn’t they line these hallways with old, framed photos of court houses, court rooms, judges, etc???? Or old photos of Tampa? Or have a local artist paint murals on these walls? Ironically, the hotel gives its guests free passes to the Tampa Art Museum but whoever designed the interior space didn’t bother to include ANY artwork in the hallways. And the “artwork” in our room consisted of a few ugly, random cheaply framed posters. You might think that I am overly critical….after all, as I said, the staff was lovely and responsive and our room was spacious, quiet and clean. BUT, because our room was just so DARK and DREARY and DEPRESSING we wanted to minimize the time we spent at this hotel.

Great staff that are pleasant and courteous. Full kitchen with dishwashers. Yes, the bathrooms can be updated but they are clean. Queen size bed in the bedroom and a pull out couch in the living room. For 2 it suits our needs. Close to Yankee Spring Training, the airport and several beaches. Housekeeping has a schedule that has been changed by Covid, but housekeeping is always bringing fresh towels for our use. No pet policy is fine with us!!

I had originally made arrangements to stay at this hotel at the end of March because we were looking to relocate and find a home in Florida. I booked the hotel through Hotels.com. When we checked in on Monday the hotel was dated and under construction. However, we tried to remain optimistic. After checking in, my daughter and I both began to experience a horrible skin rash, burning in the eyes, nose, and throat, and a constant itch. The chemicals used in the room were extremely strong. There was also a very strong smell of mold and mustiness, which is what I'm assuming the strong chemical smell was trying to mask. The walls and door were paper thin, we didn't feel safe. I contacted HOTELS.com because I was advised by the front desk when checking in that ANY changes in our stay with the hotel must go through them. They are the ones that would handle our booking and financial questions. So I contacted HOTELS.com and advised the agent of what we were experiencing. I requested to see if there was another hotel locally that we could possibly stay in, in exchange for the current hotel. The HOTELS.com agent advised that he would reach out to the front office to advise them of the issue and that we were canceling our stay and leaving. My daughter and I immediately vacated the premises as we could not stand the itch, rash, and burning we were experiencing. The Agent from HOTELS.com advised that they would need to speak with the Manager who was not in currently in regards to a refund. (They had taken over $100 when we checked-in in advance. Then another $700 for the remaining 6 days shortly after.) I advised the agent that I understood if the hotel needed to take 1 day as we were leaving an hour and a half after checking in, we wanted to be fair and there were more than enough rooms at this hotel so we were not taking a room from anyone. The agent advised me that it would be at least 48 hours before they could provide an answer for us, they also declined to provide another hotel or credit for us because they needed to speak with the manager. So, my daughter and I were now in our rental car trying to figure out where we would sleep and how we could get the money for another hotel. I followed up the next day around 2 pm to check and see if the hotel was contacted because I had not heard from HOTELS.com or the hotel. I was advised they had not spoken with the hotel yet but would reach out and then when they did the Manager was not present to take the call. I then called this hotel to speak with the Manager and explain what had happened and requested they would please provide me with a refund for the 5 additional days. At this point, because of the length of time, it took for HOTELS.com and the hotel itself to speak I knew I was looking at least two days' worth of money to the hotel. So I called HOTELS.com back again and requested they would please be prompt about handling this so the hotel could process my refund. After spe

They even sent the shuttle to pick us up from the airport so we didn’t have to re-rent a car. Not upset at us when finding out we were at an airport they didn’t service. At my sisters request gave us our same room back greeted us with smiles & snack bags upon our re-arrival. Thank you Susan & your wonderful staff customer service at its finest 😊

|9.52km from city centerAs an ex worker of one of the hotels from the Wyndham corporate, This hotel proves you the opposite of what professionalism and good customer service is.. My review from my stay on the second week of June has been erased. I am not going to repeat that uncomfortable moment we had when the manager called my cell phone to ask me for payment for 1 extra night when the night before we already had walked to the front desk and tried to pay at the counter for the next day. My husband was told that there was no need to pay or sign any document since we already had a credit card authorization form on file and a certain rate already accepted by me. The next day the manager's excuse was that there was a misscomunication and by that day my form was already expired. Long story short, between trying to call Wyndham corporate an repeating over and over by phone the story and asking them to send me their email so I can send all the documentation and proves and also getting an email from the manager saying that my review was going to affect his business, the corporate resolution was to give me 3,000 reward point and if I wanted something else I needed to call the manager of the property again. Both the morning cooked to order breakfast as well as the Manager's Evening Reception are always my favorite thing about any Embassy Suites Hotel I stay at. I will most definitely stay at this hotel anytime that I am in Tampa, whether for spring training, or a Bucs football game in the fall. All the shuttle van drivers, Mark, Reynaldo & Robert were great, driving me to anywhere within a 2 mile radius of the hotel. Also, 2 of the bartenders at the Evening Reception, Christina & Todd are very friendly & great service.

Her name was Ms Angela. It had already been a long day. Our church group was coming in from Georgia to visit Bush Gardens. After this long trip, it was great to be able to be checked in, in a nice and timely manner. Ms Angela checked us in and was very helpful in explaining things concerning processing our payment, letting us know about our room and getting us our keys. Our room was great. Nice and clean and well put together. Sleep was great and refreshing to experience. I would definitely recommend this establishment to others.
