For its own swimming pool and for Picasso. The demo of this house is from China and was used in a 4-star hotel in Beijing. The position of Chinese brands in the world seems particularly friendly!

Stayed for 2 nights and found the apartment a good value for money. Clean and comfortable, spacious and complete with kitchenette , fridge, microwave etc. The location was great, we walked to Placa Catalunya (20 mins) and the beach (20 mins). Such a quaint area with various shops and cafes, very very charming. Many supermarkets nearby to get daily essentials like groceries etc. Also many souvenir shops nearby with prices cheaper than the touristy areas like the sagrada familia area. Took a taxi to Parc Guell cost us 10euro and taxi to airport cost us 30euro. The reception works 10.30-6.30 and were very helpful and courteous. Only downside of this place is that you have to pay a refundable deposit (by cash or card)upon checking in which was not stated when we booked this apt through a specific website. Also the apartment above us were rather noisy late into the night on both the nights we were there. Overall, however, we loved the apartment and its location. Would love to return if we get the chance

Well located hotel. Quick and easy check in. Nice restaurant and rooftop pool bar. Some drinks at the pool bar were quite expensive. Nice food and decent priced menu of the day in the restaurant. Comfortable, clean and modern bedroom with small standing room balcony.

This family-run hotel is situated next to the Borne district and opposite the Ciudadela Park, approximately a 15 minute walk from Pla?a Catalunya and Las Ramblas.Renovated in 2006, the rooms are equipped with tv, air conditioning and free internet access. You can choose from a selection of rooms; from the more affordable interior rooms to exterior-facing rooms overlooking the park. There is also a restaurant that has been open for over 30 years and renowned for its rice dishes. The Ciudadela Park is one of the city’s more attractive parks and popular with locals for a lazy afternoon and meeting friend and, in addition a number of events are held here. The area is great if you are looking to explore Barcelona on foot, public transport or bike. Just a few metres away you will find the Arc de Triumfo metro and train station and the Nord bus station. Certain rooms offer a view over the park. Typical Spanish cuisine is served in a modern setting. The restaurant specialises in a variety of rice dishes.

We have stayed in Barcelona a number of times now and each time we find something new. The accommodation at the El Born Guest House was everything we needed, lovely air conditioned room with nice balcony, spotless bathroom and bedroom. The manager Hernan greeted us, and explained everything and gave recommendations for places to eat and visit even though we arrived at 10pm. The location was absolutely perfect for us, just 100 meters from the Estacio De Franca. We took the train from Barcelona airport to Estacio De Franca station (Only €4.20 per person each way 40 mins and just 1 transfer). The El Born area is great for Bars and eating places and because you are so central easy to walk to almost all the attractions. We walked to Las Ramblas, the beach, Sagrada Familia, The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc /Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya and many other attractions over our three day visit, so as long as you are used to walking its all easily doable, if not just jump on the train. Would highly recommend this place if you are staying in Barcelona.

The customer service is young, friendly and lively like Barcelona. The lobby, first floor bar and roof terrace are all modern and comfortable. The rooms are very small but small and are designed to be easy to use. The bedding and chairs are of good quality and very comfortable. The quality of the bedding and furniture is higher than the five-star hotel we stayed in Dubai, and it seems that we are considering the comfort of our customers. There is also a city bus right next to the hotel to Park Guell. It's a shame that the kettle and tea aren't there, but it wasn't a problem as it was about a 10-minute walk to the Bole district where delicious bars and cafes are open until midnight.

CHECK-IN/OUT: Thankfully I had read the reviews before hand, and knew that check in was not in the same local as the apartment. I got their shuttle service from the airport, which was not worth it. It was 45Euro, and the driver was late and texted the whole time he was driving. It would have be more like 23Euro if I had just grabbed a cab. I was concerned about catching a cab back to the airport at 4am, but shouldn’t have been as there were lots of cabs even at that hour. THE ROOM: The room was relatively clean, but there was mildew in the shower. The air conditioner drain line was clogged and left a huge puddle that made the floor very slippery. They came and fixed it the next day, and replaced all the towels. They provided a day bed for me, no charge, and were very helpful with working out the details of my stay. AMENITIES/BUILDING: They provide just enough towels, and enough toilet paper to last you two days. But when I asked they gave me more towels. I was told at check in that if the elevator was broken there were stairs I could use to get to my 5th floor apartment. I am very thankful that didn’t happen, because the STAIRS ARE GLASS, and you can see down all the way to the bottom. I’m afraid of heights, and glass stairs are very hard to see making them hard to navigate. COCKROACHES: I didn’t see the cockroach until near my last day there, and ended up bringing the bugs home with me. :( I sent them a picture of a cockroach on the wall, and they thanked me and that was all. LOCATION: Location was a top priority for me, and they place was perfect. I was able to walk to all of the Festival de Mercè events, many were just a block or two away. Getting to the metro and Regional train stations was also very convenient.

This hotel is really cool. You can do your own cooking, rooms are well air-conditioned. Location is perfect for sightseeing. Metro within walking distance. Taxis outside the door if you wish to take taxi to the lovely beaches which are about 10 mins away. Well worth an early morning walk on Barcelonetta beach, nice breeze in the morning and a great start to the day.

EXE PLAZA CATALUNYA, 2 nights, €180 per night I did not expect to stay at the Exe Plaza, in fact, I had not booked it at all. My reservation at an adjacent hotel was cancelled without notice or warning. You could imagine my surprise and slowly building rage when I arrived after disembarking a 7 hour flight, fighting through the airport and a taxi ride later to find my room was unilaterally terminated. What a time to be alive. But Exe Plaza was next door and within 15 minutes I had an online reservation and 10 minutes afterwards I was standing in my room. So far so good and so grateful. The checking process was extremely efficient and likely partly aided due to the online booking. The hotel is extremely well placed within one of the busiest and most popular spots in Barcelona. If you are a tourist visiting the city then, based on location, you could ask for nothing more. There is a carousel of open top sightseeing bus tours within 30 seconds of the front door. It is also a 15 minute taxi ride to the airport from the hotel assuming the traffic is forgiving. Taxis will set you back around €20. After the location and efficient check-in, the hotel starts to be judged more closely. Exe Plaza is quiet, clean has reliable Wi-Fi throughout which is free and at no additional charge (unlike some parasitic hotels). The staff are friendly, they speak perfect English in case you do not speak Spanish: there is just about nothing they can’t do or organise for you which is great. The rooms are a very decent size given that this is a European hotel, which is often a shoebox tastefully decorated. However, it is a little austere. There is solid light wood panelling and a very large floor-to-ceiling window that allows lights to flooding throughout the room. To be honest this feels a little like a Nordic IKEA show room minus all the vases, glasses and lamps that you are subtly encouraged to buy. This means that this well sized room is very bright. The bed is very comfortable, the sheets are soft and I slept well my entire time. There is a large screen TV here as well. Lastly, there is one of the largest mirrors I’ve ever seen in a hotel in case you are looking for a full length. The showers are hot and the water pressure is reliable. There are toiletries but you will want to bring your own. There is also a nicely stocked minibar. Is there anything wrong with this hotel? No, nothing is obviously wrong. However, if you are someone who wants to stay in the middle of Barcelona and you also enjoy a hotel then you may want to do a bit more research. By enjoying a hotel what I mean is if you like something that is more luxurious, something with boutique design features, a hotel with multiple facilities such as a gym or spa: this is not the hotel for you. For example, if you are coming to Barcelona for a romantic getaway and the hotel plays an integral part in that experience, this is not going to fit the brief. That said, if you are the kind of traveller who

Sant Antoni
We stayed at this apartment as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). I would recommend this place as its very centrally located and overall, was a lovely apartment. Perhaps a rating in between average and very good. Location: Great location. Major tourist attractions are walking distance from this apartment (10mins – 1 hour). But should you prefer to take the underground metro, the stations are just a few minutes walk. There are two major supermarkets (15 second walk). But if they are closed, there are other 24-hour shops located (a minute away) to get your basic groceries (fruits and veg, milk, bread, beer etc). Included amenities: Fully furnished apartment, including crockeries and utensils. Booked for 7 days. For stays greater than 5 days, cleaning service is available. Apartment equipped with shower/ hair gel and other essentials. Extra towels, bedsheets and pillows were included too. The apartment also had some basic essentials provided for the kitchen. As an added benefit, a Nespresso machine with coffee pods. There also is a safe (with a key) provided to store your valuables should you choose to do so. Apartment was very clean on arrival and check-in is done through an automated machine. Was a bit cumbersome to use, but there is a phone available to speak to someone should you face issues. Areas for improvement: Free WiFI is available but flaky at times and connection did not reach all rooms. Generally, it in a quiet location but the apartment was not very sound proof. There were some builders in the apartment who started work at 9:00am and this certainly woke us up with the heavy drilling and hammering. Between each floor, if you have someone walking with heavy feet on the upstairs apartment, you will certainly here it too. The shower certainly needs a refurbishment. Cold water most days. Got maintenance to look at it twice but made no difference. Water temperature fluctuated from luke-warm to cold. And not to mention, the way the shower door is located, you do get a puddle of water forming outside. Unfortunately, on our final day of check-out, the lift stopped working. Had to carry suitcases down a spiral stair-case which was not the easiest thing to do. Overall, inspite of the few issues we faced, it certainly would be an apartment I would be ok staying again.

If I did not receive an additional fee of more than one hundred euros after leaving the hotel, I would give a full score ... The additional cost of the child is calculated to 30 euros per night, plus a city construction tax of 7.6. I remember when I was at the front desk, I told I added 20 euros per night. Besides that, the experience was excellent. The location is excellent, the seaside, the British Palace and the Baroque House can be walked by. The rooms are equipped with ritual toiletries. The beds were particularly comfortable and the rooms were cleaned clean. Families with children (2 years and older) must choose a triple room in advance.

This hotel is still in a very good location. It only takes five minutes to walk to the Sagrada Familia, and the subway is next to the Sagrada Familia, and it is ten minutes to walk to the Holy Cross Saint Paul Hospital. From here, no matter if you take the subway to Camp Nou, Casa Mila, Casa Batllo, Gracia Avenue is very convenient. The room is also spacious. The reason why I beat the four stars for hygiene was that the first night I noticed that there was a curved black hair under the pillow, which was a bit disgusting. But in fact, they are cleaned every day. It is estimated that they are sticky? ? ? Hygiene in the next few days is still OK. Of course, even if you check in after 2pm, you can leave your luggage at the front desk if you arrive early.

The triple room we stayed in, the two single beds were put together and we could sleep three people. There is a sofa bed next to it, and you can sleep two people. Then the room has basically no place to stay. It is a Hanting, winning in a good position. It is a few steps away from Plaza Catalunya. The small clothes and shoes next to the hotel are cheap. Until I kept asking on third time and she gave me the right answer by still moody and she didn’t try to say sorry to me at all!!!!!! It’s really ROUGH!

At first we were a little afraid the room wasn't what we expected. Some of the reviews were quite great and others far below. The direct website has it all: the information, nice pictures and it we thought: let's take the "risk". We booked the better room with two separate beds. We walked through the streets and couldn't find it. But than, just on the corner there's the location. 10 minutes walking distance of Gracia and 15 minutes walking distance of Playa Catalunya and the Ramblas. You will stay in the complex between the locals. The room was nice, beautiful decoration, airco, sidetable with chairs, two balcony's (just to stand, no place for chairs) and an own bathroom (including soap and shampoo/douche gel) with every day clean towels. Also the beds are made every single day. The air freshener welcomes you "home" after a day of sightseeing. At the hallway you can put you drinks and snacks in a shared fridge. Breakfast is between 8.30 and 10.30 and is fully equipped. It's also possible to eat breakfast on the shared balcony/terrace. We had a really great stay over here! We stayed 6 nights en 7 days. The location is great. Just remember you are in the middle of the city, so you will hear everything. Cars, scooters, bikes etc. will drive through the streets so it will never be a 100% soundproof place. And that makes it special. You know you are one of the locals during your citybreak at Barcelona. Would definitely come back and recommend this place! (will choose the "better room" with own bathroom again).
