|4.44km from city centerThe location is gorgeous, it’s near the sea with stunning view , great place to chill and sunbathe, the food in the restaurant was also delicious . But the hotel itself didn’t have any toothbrushes and even no small bottles of water in the room , the store is not that near so instead of enjoying your stay you need to look around for toothbrushes. Our breakfast was included , it wasn’t wow , my friend who stayed with me didn’t like it at all I still think it was fine , but the coffee !! It was a total disaster, there’s a coffee machine and it tasted like the machine hasn’t been cleaned since they got it. Overall great views and surroundings, bur hotel can do a little better. Beds were nice and comfy also . The planes , as you can see , are passing very near , I wasn’t bothered cos I use earplugs, cheers

|0.11km from city centerA secluded peaceful retreat. Located on a steep hillside accessible by one road by car, two roads by foot. Not ideal for learner drivers. The complex contained several rooms but it was blissfully quiet, we had the pool to ourselves pretty much every day for 10 days. It was lovely and clean in the apartment and around the sitting and pool areas. The decor is a little dated but we were out exploring every day so that did not matter. The property felt very secure. It was wonderfully quiet and a great base for exploring the island of Corfu. A small hire car is great for nipping around the very narrow roads and it is important not to be tempted to go off the paved roads as the terrain is dreadful and will take the bottom off your car. After an electrical storm the kettle stopped working but was immediately replaced by Amaliia. Amaliia gave us great ideas for our stay and a great hand drawn map which was invaluable for our outings. The beach of Moraitika was wonderful and within a very short walk of the apartment. The village also was full of restaurants which all served wonderful traditional food at very reasonable prices. Home delivery was also an option to the apartment which was handy when we were too tired to venture out one evening. Mosquitos were a problem everywhere on the island, so a good supply of bite relief cream and antihistamines are required. Amaliia was there if we needed her but her and the staff did not intrude on our stay at all. It was a very enjoyable holiday and we will definitely return.

I travel the world frequently and this hotel is right up there. the day before you arrive you receive a WhatsApp ready to update you on everything you need from PIN codes, wifi, and transfer options. The room is clean modern and has truly thought of all the little things like toothbrush kits, bottle of water and wine in the fridge to robes and luxury linen and accessories. Location is sensational and mins from port and airport. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We were greeted this morning by the most gorgeous receptionist ever and lockable units for our bags. We will be back for sure. Super impressed.

|3.5km from city centerMy daughter and I have just returned from a very relaxing break at Akis apartments. Anastasia could not have been more helpful, providing us with information on places to go and places to eat. She went the extra mile, providing us with home-made cake and fruit on a couple of occasions. The apartment (we were in apartment Anastasia, which had one bedroom and one living room) was clean and our sheets and towels were changed twice during the week. The pool was a real bonus, only a few yards from the beach and with marvellous views across the harbour. Paleokastritsa in August is a very busy time to visit but in all fairness, most of the visitors seem to disappear by early evening. Our top tip would be get to the beach early otherwise you will not get a spot! The apartment was perfect in this respect, as we were able to go to the beach in the morning when it is quieter and then return to the pool for a peaceful afternoon. There are only four apartments in the complex so it never felt busy. Best restaurants: Limani and Alipa, both a 2 minute walk away. Recommend the sunset boat trip which you can book from the kiosk near the apartment. My only comment would be that the mattresses are on the very firm side!

|0.65km from city centerI am writing an objective, honest review about the hotel, Corfu, our holiday etc, in the hope that our fellow travellers will do the same. So, we came with EasyJet holiday which was good with small delay and we were lucky enough to have a private transfer to Barbati which was really great. The resort was great for us, as we prefer to be away from the bigger resorts, but it’s a matter of choice. Barbati is a great small village but will not recommend it for people with mobility issues, as the beach is accessible via either not so easy steps, or steep road that not for everyone. However, there were many older people that have managed very well and we found some very useful short cuts. Car, we recommend, as this is the easiest way to explore the island and find all the hidden gems and beautiful small beaches. (North is much better than the south), but unless you are an experience, good driver, don’t bother to drive, as some of the mountain road can be challenging, also the maps can be confusing, I recommend to follow the sat nav. We hired a car in town and saved 25% on the cost with probably older car and all went perfect, but I realise it’s not for everyone. Corfu is a beautiful island but a well-established, mass tourism resort, so you need to pick carefully and according to your preferences, where you want to stay. Corfu town is a busy congested place, but great place to visit for few hours to see the main tourist attractions. Now to the hotel, the hotel was great, beautiful location, amazing view and fantastic facilities for 3 stars hotel. However, you have to realize that if you want an hotel with amazing view, it will normally have to be on a hill or foot of a mountain, hence don’t complain you have a steep hill to climb. Never the less, the shuttle bus was absolutely fantastic and very flexible. Many units are up the mountain and extra climb but the view is even better, the shuttle bus can take you up or you can have a car and park near some units. Facilities and all shared building were excellent, in very good condition and beautiful including outdoor gym, pool and sitting area. The hotel is offering half board and the food is absolutely excellent. Wi fi is none existence in the rooms, as they are individual units and impossible to offer in individual unit, but exists in the main building and pool. Staff and service are the best I ever seen in any place I ever been to, professional and hard working. I will recommend this hotel with all my heart but for the right people that prefer a place away from the crowd with stunning views and beautiful location. Finally, there are busses to town at the bottom of the hills and the beach chairs in Barbati are expensive. Weather, we have few days of rain, but used them to explore the island and visit some amazing places on the island. Took a boat out which was a great fun and Ionian Sea is very calm, great fun and easy to operate.

Two things really make this hotel. The first is the family who run it and who are so helpful and hardworking. The second is its location, very close to the centre of Gouvia and only a couple of minutes walk from the bus stops from where it is easy to explore northern Corfu.

Location: 20 minutes by taxi from CFU airport; 20 minutes by car from Paleokastrita beach; a beach is just in front of the hotel; and a large free parking space is nearby. Room: has air conditioning and a ceiling fan, and daily cleaning has been done Food: breakfast is not as diverse as in other hotels, but it was fresh every day. Hospitality: I can confidently say that staying this hotel was worthwhile. Reception staff was supportive, waiters extremely pleasant, always smiling, helpful, and with a positive attitude all the time, cleaning team was professional. Another pleasant surprise was the hotel's restaurant and bar, which offered delicious meals and cocktails and had daily happy hour for drinks! Don't leave without trying the Portokalopita cake; you'll fall in love with it!! I consider this hotel to be a hidden gem and will recommend it to anybody visiting Corfu.

The Ambiente is more than beautiful, the rooms are small but more than comfortable for two persons and the sea view is gorgeous. The service is excellent the staff is the friendliest I have ever encountered and I have worked in a hotel myself. the hotel provides entertainment program day for day. The food is good and varied. We are thankful for this holiday trip and for the stuff who made it so awesome and unforgettable. Thank you and we will come again!

And location, location, location! It exceeded all our expectations. The hotel is located in the heart of everything. The room we stayed in was clean and quiet. The breakfast was very good. There was a choice of pastries, cheese, ham, fruits, vegetables, juice, etc. The staff were very friendly and kind, ready to help you at any time. The only thing we did not like that hotel staff arranged for us car hire with a company that provided us old, dirty and scratched car, even without front car plates. It was the first time in Greece and it is shame for such beautiful and not cheap hotel in Corfu town.

We had a beachfront room, very spacious with a sliding door separating the main living area from a twin bedded area, ideal for a family. The room was very well appointed and spacious and clean. The restaurants were all very good, quality of food and choice of wine impressive. The breakfast in particular was very good, it was fairly busy when we went but we never had to wait for a table and the breakfast team were super helpful , friendly and efficient in finding us a table. The breakfast was one of the best that we’ve had, a huge array of hot and cold food, I couldn’t think of anything that wasn’t available. The staff throughout the resort were courteous, friendly and helpful. There are sun beds and parasols on the sandy beach which was clean and tidy. The bar area was also welcoming and well appointed. The hotel is a 10-15 walk from a marina that had a few bars and restaurants and about 10-15 in a taxi into Corfu town which has huge array of eateries, shops, bars etc. There is a water taxi at the jetty on the beach that can take you to a number of restaurants, all of which were wonderful. The only minor criticism I would have is that the concierge team seemed a little clueless, not having any restaurant recommendations or even knowledge of the water taxi service which we found a little odd. George on the front desk came to the rescue with information and help. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel for couples, friends or family and will definitely return.

From the minute you arrive nothing is too much trouble for the family who do everything they can to make sure you relax and enjoy this perfect little slice of Greece. The hotel is not fancy it’s adequate and comfortable and what it lacks in the facilities you’d get in a larger resort type hotel they definitely make up this in their genuine, flawless hospitality. The hotel breakfast is buffet style with plenty of choice but don’t expect a full English breakfast the charm here is everything Greek. The yogurt, honey and nuts all firm favourites with our party. A car is useful but we travelled on the local buses both to Benitses and Corfu Town using this excellent and regular service that stops right outside the hotel. A tip here is to buy your bus tickets from the hotel reception in advance. Dinner or lunch in the hotel is served on the huge terrace overlooking the Ionian Sea. Make sure you book your dinner table at breakfast to get a good table and you must try the homemade wine and “menu of the day” an incredible 3 courses for just 17 euros making it the best value for money meal you’ll have anywhere in Corfu. All of our meals were absolutely delicious. The hotel has its own small beach just across the road. This has a limited amount of sunbeds and umbrellas but it’s a great place to relax and swim and we enjoyed taking our cocktails over there from the hotel bar as the sun went down. Thank you to every single family member at the Kaiser Bridge for giving us 7 ladies the most relaxing holiday and filling us with the best food and wine. We made lifelong memories at the Kaiser Bridge and we will be back !!!!
