Winter. I came to climb Mt Fuji. How difficult could it be? It's a gradual slope and even senior citizens are strolling on Fuji's incline from one snack shop to the next. But there's a climbing season. People are advised to not climb Fuji outside of summer. If you do, Michael wanted me to sign a release form which would allow him to go thru my things in case of my death. Since my backpack is filled with Adult Toys which I didnt want him & his Filipino staff to see, I decided to not climb it. Thanks, Michael, you might have saved my life. 1. Strong WiFi. 2. Lots of hot water & good water PRESSURE. 3. Bunks have curtains & lamps but no elec sockets. 4. Soap, shampoo, conditioner (i'm bald). 5. Tea & coffee. I stayed at 3 hostels in Fuji Yoshida. Myself and my husband stayed 3 nights here, it was long enough. It is located not far from Shimoyoshida station, within walking distance. When we arrived check-in was easy and quick, they showed us through the main building to a separate outer building in a quiet little street. We both had very heavy luggage as we are staying in Japan for over 5 weeks, it was a little difficult to get the luggage to the outer house as it is all stones and steps! It is only a short distance from the main building. When arriving in the outer house, the lady showed us up a very small very steep set of wooden stairs with a small wooden handle going up and around to an upper floor, we managed to get the luggage up but I think it would be difficult for an older or less able person to get such luggage up these stairs. Don't get me wrong people with small cases or backpacks could get up easily, it was only because our luggage was so heavy, so please bear this in mind when choosing a room. We noticed 2 larger rooms down the stairs on the floor level, that might be more suitable for guests with large luggage? or even installing some kind of luggage area? The room was an ok size, there is very low ceilings/beams inside. and an overwhelming smell of cabbage soup. At first I thought it was because someone had been cooking in the room, but even after the 3 nights staying with the window open and the air con on full, the smell remained. Its not a nice smell and I have been in other ryokan style rooms with tatami mats and they do not smell like this. The room however was very clean and the beds very comfortable. A nice quiet street. Another thing to mention is that the door to the upper rooms are VERY noisy, maybe traditional in style but if anyone comes out of the room at night for the shared toilet downstairs, you know about it. The doors that open to the outer building are also very noisy, luckily we had guests that didn't come in and out too late at night. Other than that the shower room (X1) was clean and the toilets (X2) clean. There is no mirror in the room so you must go down the stairs to the bathroom area for a mirror, this area is nice and clean too!-free coffee and tea in the outer house part where we stayed. And a good selection of pretty plants to look at :) The town itself, is quiet, we rented bikes for 500yen and got our use out of them! The bikes are a little old in style and the chain came off 3 times when I tried to change gear, the other bikes chain came off on the bumpy path. we didn't have problems once the bikes were going though. we cycled to and around lake Kawaguchi which in total is around 34km. This was well worth it, as we saw many cool things around the lake. There is a sento not far from the hostel but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to try it, it looks quite new though. Decent supermarkets can be walked to within 20-30 mins. There is a 7/11 near by too. other than that, it is best to hire bikes and cycle to areas, be

We were three but we stayed in a house clearly designed for the company (three two-storey beds + couch). Shower with all the equipment (shampoon, air conditioner, shower gel, fan, towel), kitchen, refrigerator. Very clean. A beautiful hostess, kind, always ready to help. Talk only in Japanese, but it is not a problem, always walks with the phone in which the translator is set)) The hostess herself prepared breakfast, asked in advance how much you would like to eat. She has a small cafe in the same house, there she covers breakfast. The very place is 3-5 minutes walk from Mt. Fuji Station ~30 minutes walk to the Arakura Temple, overcome another 400 steps in ~15 minutes and you can enjoy the view from the most famous cards: Mount Fuji at dawn amid the Chureito pagoda.

I lucked out and was given a larger bedroom than standard. It was a twin room with ample space between the beds and at the foot of the beds for my large suitcase. The bed had a duvet with a cover which only covered one side which I didn't think was very hygienic (I realise it's a typical Japanese style) and one pillow filled with seeds and the other was a softer tempura style pillow. The bathroom was small but functional. The towels were small and thin and only one was provided. There was mould on the shower curtain. The room lighting was ok and the air conditioning worked well. Unfortunately there were no English language channels on TV. There was one desk with a chair. A cupboard and good sized safe which wasn't fixed to the cupboard and a fridge. Wi-Fi was poor and kept on dropping in and out. I tried changing rooms but there was no improvement. The hotel offered free parking and it was just over the road from the train and bus station. I was able to catch a bus from there to Tokyo Haneda airport very easily. That said, booking it was a nightmare because the bus company wouldn't take internet bookings and the hotel refused to help me reserve a seat. The breakfast was ok with enough western choices such as cereal, yoghurt and croissants. The restaurant was a nice bright room. I used the hotel washing machine and dryers (for a small fee). They worked well although the machines were a bit dirty. No English was spoken at reception so communication was difficult. There were a few restaurants within walking distance (or if you drove with parking). 7 Elevens were about 10 minutes walk away. The hire car outlet was about 30 minutes walk away.

I had never stayed in a hostel before, and I was pleasantly surprised. This is a very clean place, has a wonderfully fun decor, fresh bread and eggs up for grabs, and all other funky features like band aids and toothbrushes - It was quite amazing for a novice like me! The rooms are small and basic: our had one bunk set and one single. I found the mattress a little thin, but gents didn’t complain. The lounge area is compact, but was good for engaging with other travelers. It’s not the place to have late night fun though, as sound carries a little. The host was a bit cold, but no matter really.

My husband and I stayed here for one night at the beginning of October 2020. Check-in time was at 2pm, and the staff members were very efficient and polite, dressed in lovely “yukata”. The room had a nice layout, with two double beds and a television, a separate sitting area with another television and mini-bar area, and a large sofa-bench/bed area by window from which one could view a very large Mt Fuji. There was an indoor bathroom area and a separate shower room that lead to an outdoor hot-bath which was not too hot. I did not even have to add any cold water to it. There was a rooftop hot bath (for women only) and nice larger hot-spring baths on different floors. Other smaller family-baths could be reserved. Note that the towels in the rooms do not have to be taken to these baths since supplies are located there. Pictures may not be taken in any of the baths. The room had guest “yukata” and haori(warm vests) and also another type of top/slacks set which may be worn throughout the hotel. (Note that you might ask in advance about the size ranges of these items). “Tabi” socks were provided for free in our room, and free, packaged small bath towels and amenities were provided for each of us. Two free bottles of water were provided, but items stored in the mini-bar refrigerator need to be paid for upon checkout (as explained by the room attendant upon checking in). There was a nice free selection of tea and coffee in the room, with a nice cup of Japanese tea and a complimentary piece of nutty chocolate upon while being oriented to the room and the layout of the hotel. The level of our room included a free “Taiko” show in the evening (2 shows each night), with ours starting at 8:45pm(the second one). Guests may choose either Japanese or western-style meals. We chose Japanese for both sittings but preferred the quality of the breakast meal, which was very tasty.

Amazing location . It was a pity that Fuji was lost in mist so no stunning views to be seen. Will look again in the morning. We arrived at about 6.30 this evening. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed with no explanation. This hotel is miles from anywhere. So no alternatives available without a long taxi ride. There are a generous number of vending machines scattered throughout and a small shop by the reception selling noodles in a pot and tourist chocolates. No bar. So in other words a little limited. Loved my stay here! Very beautiful surroundings, lovely room and staff, and convenient location for visiting Mt Fuji and surrounding areas. Bself has a kind of lodge-like feel to it, or at least the main building does. I stayed in a “superior double” room, on the second floor in a build which was detached from the main building. If you’re gonna stay here, my recommendation would be to get a room with your own private onsen. I’m aware that there’s a communal onsen for all guests (which I never checked out), but it’s so amazingly nice to have your own onsen on your own private balcony! What I loved was that it was a traditional-style (yet new) Japanese ALL-WOODEN bathtub. And the view was very serene, overlooking trees and the night sky. This private onsen would be my reason for visiting. Honestly, it was that nice to just sit in that wooden tub staring at the night sky and nearby trees. I thought that bedroom was tastefully done and spread out nicely. Rather large for a Japanese room, as it also came with a nicely-sized wooden dining table that would spaciously sit two, and if one had a few more chairs could squeeze in four or even five total. There are two showers, one indoors in the bathroom and another outdoors next to the bathtub. I much preferred the outdoors one! When one goes into the main building, there’s an open coffee and tea area with a piano and ping-pong table! I didn’t play either, but they both seemed open for guests. I also got to meet and speak with the manager and staff who were all friendly and courteous. Really wonderful place to stay!

The hotel itself is small 々 old, but it is very convenient with hot springs and taverns. It was Mt. Fuji view, so the view was good. However, there are many foreign guests, so I want you to tell me about the manners of the hot spring. I didn't know the manners, and I was poor to say the color 々 from Japanese guests. The explanation was also attached to the dressing room in the room and the hot spring, but I don't see it. I want you to visit if you know the rules when passing the key to the locker, and to those who don't know it, you can give it to a small paper. And please prepare not only English but also Spanish and French. Foreigners want to check the hot spring rules. Let's enjoy the hot springs! Open-air bath, wide and comfortable! Also, the color of the indoor clothes is thin, so the underwear is clear, and eventually I went every time in my clothes. I want you to be a little darker.

There is barely any shelter towards the villa so it is recommended to drive. Due to its close proximity to the train station, it’s easy to get to Kawaguchiko lake. The hotel staff are very welcoming and friendly. I reached the hotel earlier than the check in time so I left my luggage at the hotel and went out to venture. To my surprise, they already brought in my luggage and even put perishable items into the fridge upon check in! The amenities are exceptional and there are free alcoholic beverages for consumption.

Benefits & Use the GOTO campaign. I was looking for an inn where I could eat in my room, and this was a hit. I've always wanted to go to Oshino Hakkai, and it was close from there. It is located in the annex (4th and 5th floors) of a hotel called Kanesanen. On the 4th floor, there is a lounge where you can enjoy tea and small sweets, and you can see Mt. Fuji from the window. The room is Mizuho. This is also diagonally, but you can see Mt. Fuji from the window of the room. There is also a small open-air bath. I could see Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath on the 10th floor, and I felt great. The meal was delicious with various types. I stayed for 2 nights, but I was grateful that breakfast was divided by Japanese and Western food and day. I was relieved that the corona measures were perfect, and the temperature measurement, antibacterial, mask, and social distance were devised. (There are also disinfectant sheets and masks in the room.) The vast garden seems to enjoy the seasonal scenery. There was also a footbath, a pool, a gallery and a tea room, and customers of a wide range of ages came. The scenery of Mt. Fuji, which changes with the time I see, made me happy without getting tired of it.

The house is a Japanese style bed, has a kitchen, a living room, near Fuji, near a supermarket, near the train station. Walk for a short while and it's quiet and very good.

I checked in at Fuji-Q Highland with my baby. I arrived at the Shinjuku bus station last night. The bus was full. I took the tram and got off at a very desolate station. There was no one in the Japanese village at night, and there was no Taxi. We didn’t receive the message that we were going to pick up the station. We bravely walked 3 kilometers at night and finally found the B&B. The next morning, we opened the door and came out only to find that we were facing Mt. Fuji. We checked out at 10 in the morning. The landlord is Chinese. He sent us to Fuji Station and took the Fujikyu free bus to Fujikyu Land in one stop. The Japanese-style rooms are clean and comfortable, with public toilets, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens. The service of the proprietress is very good.
