0.27km from Isle Sur SorgueThe hotel did not live up to our expectations based upon being rated as a four-star hotel and the price range. The first thing we noticed upon arrival was that most of the parking spots were so tight that you would be worried that your car could be easily damaged by the neighbouring car opening their doors. Whilst the reception area looked grand, the rooms disappointed. We stayed two nights in a Prestige room and one night in a Junior Suite. The carpets looked a bit dirty and there were stains on the couch in the Suite. Whilst advertised as having free Wifi this was slow and limited to email and a bit of browsing. To get some reasonable speed and usage you had to pay an additional fee (so much for advertised free Wifi!). The coffee machine was useless (the water was not hot enough for a simple tea or coffee) and the plastic spoons they provide with the coffee cups in the room did feel low budget, and unexpected of a 4-star hotel. The doors of the shower in the Prestige room were leaking so we had to mop up a lot of water after each shower. When we went to have a drink in the bar around 7 PM there was nobody available. I had to ask Reception for service, and the staff member who came clearly had no experience in preparing cocktails. A bit later, another guest also had to wait and request to be served (all staff were eating together in the dining room). Nobody asked our room number when we ordered our drinks, nor were there when we finished them, so I had to return later to request that our 2 cocktails be charged to our room. When we left the next morning, we were charged for 6 instead of 2 cocktails. In summary, on paper this appears a beautiful, grand hotel with much to offer. We have stayed at many other 4 star boutique hotels during our stay in France. By comparison The Grand Hotel Henri lacks the style and service that it advertises, and one could expect for this price category.
