Me and a friend had a very pleasant stay in the hotel. The staff is absolutely friendly and welcoming. Such helpful people. The hotel is amazing but the staff is another level! The staff who shows genuine interest in listening to the people, patiently explaining about the hotel, country and activities and always smiling. going extra miles to make the visitors happy. Great Hospitality by Mr Ulas, Mr. Aleaddin and Mr. Mehemat where they tried to afford many services to assure our satisfaction and to make our stay amazing. So many adventure tours around the area will make you busy for a week. The hotel is very clean, room is very nice. we had Would highly recommend Seven Room Old City Hotel to everyone. thank you for an amazing hospitality

Lucky I found this place for many positive reasons... Location, was ideal and despite previous reviews of in accessibility our taxi was able to drop and collect from the front entrance. Although do make sure that the airport taxi does know where to go. Our driver had to stop several times to get directions. Ended up ringing the hotel Room, was spacious but the AC was on refrigeration mode. A very uncomfortable first night. This was rectified by an efficient team, and wonderful maid who helped us move to a larger suite and brought us coffee. A nice touch and good customer service Staff, were helpful and friendly and ordered us a takeaway Food, was the usual Türkiyish breakfast which could accommodate some more Western traditional offerings Definitely recommend this hotel

This hotel was really good, excellent customer service, great location and real valve for money. My main positives were the following: 1) Centrally located 5/10 min walk to the main sites and Bosphorus Boats. Despite its location it was on a very quiet street which was perfect to get away from the hecticness of Instanbul. 2) The Room decor was lovely and modern and was cleaned ever day. 3) Had a safe (Free of charge) and a good sized wardrobe to store things. 4) Bed was super comfortable and probably my favourite thing. 5) Shower was nice, bathroom cleaned and topped up regularly and Towels were changed everday 6) Receptionist was really friendly and always offered free bottles of water when we returned to our room each night. Also coffee and tea was avaliable at request. No really negatives in my opinion but to be a little picky, heres a few things to be aware off: 1) Room was over looking a school basketball court, so on one morning we could over hear kids playing but not loudly so no biggie in my opinion 2) Hotel is on a hill so if normal mobility is an issue might not be the best hotel for you. 3) Breakfast wasnt bad and lady serving was lovely but it wasn't suited to my tastes to be fair. They did have Bread, Honey, Preserves, Orange Juice, Coffee, however was mostly olives, cheese and salad things. Good for a light breakfast but if hungry just pop down the road to a local restaurant. Overall I can't fault this hotel, made my stay in Instanbul a very pleasant experience and would recommend to any one looking for a friendly, comfortable hotel close to the main sites. 9/10 in my opinion. Superb

Excellent hotel. I kept an unforgetable memory of it. The whole team has a smile, always a kind word. From the welcome to the boss, from the housekeeper to the night watchman. I don't have the words to describe them as they were so kind... We arrived at night and didn't have the right room. The next morning they gave us the right one. The hotel is very well located, close to everything on foot, about 10 minutes walk from Hagia Sophia, 15 from the Galata Tower, 5 from the Grand Bazaar. In short, if you take transport, metro station barely 2 minutes away on foot, it will only be to go to the modern or Asian side… The hotel is new, you will have everything you need in the room (fridge, kettle with sachet tea and coffee, too bad they don't refill every day. Hair dryer and even slippers). No carpet, a relief 😅 And a varied and very very good breakfast. One thing is certain, I can't wait to return to Istanbul, not in July this time because the heat knocked us out, and to find this fabulous hotel again.

The hotel is in a good location, close to every attraction, no need to take a taxi, 15 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, and 10 minutes by boat to the pier. The hotel staff is very responsible for the long, very handsome, our two girls arrived at the hotel at 23:00 and did not eat, the hotel brother personally sent us to the restaurant to eat, we slowly finished eating and visiting the sugar shop, 01:30 brother Come out and ask us to pick us up at the hotel, and suddenly let me increase the goodwill of Istanbul several times. At 1:30 in the evening, my brother returned to send us Turkish specialties and mineral water. When I went out the next day, it was snowing. The younger brother loaned us his umbrella. We also landed in the underground palace. We didn't blame us when we came back. On the third day, I checked out the hotel brother and asked us to call TAXI to the airport. We didn't bother to worry about it. The two days in Istanbul made me feel that the Turks are very simple and kind, and treat the guests very well. This makes me feel particularly intimate in Paris and makes me love Arab culture more! Also remind everyone that if you shop, the Egyptian market is cheaper than the Grand Bazaar. The boat will take a one-and-a-half-hour round trip. The hotel will walk to the pier for ten minutes. The pier is surrounded by local Turkish shops. It is very beautiful and very similar to China. It really blends Asian and European cultures!

Good hotel, friendly staff. Although the hotel is in the center, it is in a cliff in a quiet place, there is a migros store next to it. I was here about a month, used to the place, from here you can reach the stop of Sirkeji and leave anywhere in Istanbul, also advise you to get to the station and visit the place esmer shef

Excellent hotel. We stayed there for 3 days. Very clean, cleaned every day. Good buffet breakfast. I really liked the owner of the hotel, she was at the reception, made us coffee and called a taxi to the airport for a reasonable price. I also liked the Russian-speaking worker Khadija, thanks to her the hotel is very clean. The only negative we got was a room without a window.

The hotel is a few hundred meters away from the Grand Bazaar, the Sofia Church and the Blue Mosque. In an alley, the location is OK. It is surrounded by clothing wholesale stores. It is open at 6 o'clock in the morning, a little noise, the price is small but very clean. The breakfast is very rich, the front desk and the restaurant service are very good, always talking, there are laundry, car and other services. It is still better in crowded Istanbul.

We stayed this hotel end of July , location of the hotel is very nice everywhere walking distance, the rooms are small if you booked superior room there isnt enough space in the the room, Reception staff is very kind and helpfull , They were organised private transfer from airport to hotel and hotel to airport bothways 95 euros safe and quick way to going to hotel, they informed us about activities that we booked with reception dinner cruise is very nice experience for us, Breakfast is minus floor in basement but tasty, ( while the hotel is full sometimes you have to wait for table..) there is very stylish coffee shop espressolab that makes very good rest point, The staff who works in the lobby always smile thanks to Engin and Oguz , dont forget to say hello to their cat 😄

Just came back for a 6 nights trip in Istanbul. I was in a solo travel and I highly recommend this hotel. If you decide to stay in fatih district I think is the best hotel and in the best location. 3 mins walk to the tram and to the sirkeci metro station. You have everything around restaurants, coffee places, supermarkets. Hagia Sophia-Blue mosque-Topkapi-grand bazaar-Suleymaniye mosque-Spice Bazaar everything is very close from this hotel. The staff is very polite and professional! I stayed in the 7th floor and something I want to mention is that due to a family member operation I had to change my booking for one week later but the booking was with no refund. So I decide to send an email to the hotel and the change the dates for free. Thank you again for that! They helped me with everything I needed and give me advices for taxis-metro and everything. Whenever I travel again to Istanbul and stay in fatih I will only choose this hotel. Thanks for everything again!

We are staying in this hotel right now and it is simply amazing. I was a bit hesitant to book this hotel as there weren't that many reviews. I took a gamble and it is well worth it. It is bit on the expensive side but amenities make up for the additional cost. Hotel was opened a couple of years ago but due to pandemic it has hardly been used. Pretty much everything looks brand new. Pros: We are in a triple room with a balcony and it is very spacious. There is a mini fridge in the room along with a large cabinet. Interestingly, TV is hidden in the large mirror in the middle of the room so it serves dual purpose. Air conditioner is solid and it got quite cold at night. As it is a newer hotel, they have incorporated a few new technologies. One strange thing; there is a window in the bathroom that faces the room. Why? 😂. If your room faces the street, it can get a bit noisy. But not enough to bother. Breakfast was simply awesome. Selection was quite large. Breakfast is served on the rooftop which has a fantastic view of Laleli Camii. Breakfast is probably the highlight of our stay! There is a spa/hammam in the building. Hammam is supposedly free from 2 to 6pm. But I haven't tried it yet. There is a swimming pool across the street in their sister hotel called Beethoven Premium. No swimming pool in this building. There is a small area to pray, mescit, in the basement. Majority of the staff is friendly. One of the receptionists could use a little more welcoming smile. Hotel is in the commercial shopping market. Majority of the attractions are a good 15 to 20 minutes walk. And it is not a straight walk as there are a lots of ups and downs as Istanbul terrain is quite hilly. There are a few restaurants near by. Famous Laleli Camii (masjid) is three minutes walk. It is an ideal hotel for a business person. Families/vacationers who want to stay closer to the attractions should try something a bit closer to attractions. Overall an amazing hotel.

Checked in no problem. Room was on the 1000 level. The room was fine. Comfy enough bed, decent shower, a little dark but fine. However, at 0044 I had not long fallen asleep and was awoken by some music. To begin with I could not figure out where the music was coming from, I called reception and found out that there was a function on and the music was coming through the walls. The receptionist told me that he would sort it out. He must of as I managed to fall asleep for 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, the tunes came back on but even louder, again I called down to reception. This time I told him if he cant get the music sorted I wanted a room move. he said he'd call back in 5 mins. By this time (0115) I had enough after been travelling since 0600 and up for work at 0800 I was not wiating any longer. I packed what I had left to pack and went down stairs to get moved. Where I had the most uncomfortable experience with the receptionist. I told the guy I wanted a room change, he said he was sorry he didn't have any. I stared at him rather displeased as you would at that time. I said well, what do you suggest?! The volume was ridiculous. After sending the bellboy down to request a volume change again, he shuffled avoiding eye contact and moving around papers. I think he just thought I was going to shrug my shoulders and go back to my bed. I stared at him for a minute more and raised my voice, asked him what the hell is happening? Its nearly 0130 and am standing here tired as F**K, demanded he better sort something out or I wanted the manager. After some more awkwardness he then produced a key card for a different room. I told him all that nonsence in the last ten mins could easily have been avoided. If he didn't lie to me and say there were no rooms. The room ended up being really quiet, however it was like an oven and I could not get it cool. I was knackered so fell asleep anyway. That mattress will need a few days in the sun to dry out the amount I sweated in it. I went down to breakfast in the morning it looked like an ok spread but I was still not in the mood. The bill was already fixed by my company so I didn't even complain to the staff in the morning. I will be telling my company not to use this place again.

We had an amazing stay here I hope estly can not fault it. The staff were lovely and the hotel was very clean. Our room was great, the view was incredible, it was spacious with a huge bed, mini bar, and decent bathroom. We were provided with water daily too. The breakfast was great, plenty of choice hot and cold, and tasty. We ate a few times in the small restaurant to the right as you enter the hotel. The food here was great and reasonably priced. There is no alcohol for sale here but there are shops and bars near by if you are in need of a drink.

We travel quite a bit as a family ( 2 children ages 7 and 12 ) but don’t always review. This hotel deserves every accolade we could provide. We had a family connecting room which was great and a perfect amount of space for all. Having two bathrooms was a real plus! Beds were comfortable and the room servicing was impeccable. The people go above and beyond, are incredibly kind and hospitable. The hotel is very well kept, clean, and has such a special charm. It is perfectly located to everything in the Old Town and has a beautiful terrace to sit on and enjoy the view of the Bosphorus. We would sit out at night and watch the sun set with a glass of wine and Fanta for the kids. The breakfast is wonderful and excellent quality. Have it included in your stay if you can. It is worth it. We search for great food and this exceeded our expectation. It is so fresh and changes daily. The staff is attentive and so helpful. The shop directly beside, Tencer Gift Shop is so wonderful. The owner is so kind and generous. We recommend getting something from him over the Grand Bazaar. Overall we had an incredible experience at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone! Thank you Sirkeci Mansion from the Canadian Family.

I wholeheartedly believe that you would solely regret you decision to visit this hotel which you hopefully do not chose as did I. Initially, I was greeted with no Wi-Fi which was a reoccurring issue throughout my stay and a situation which has been very strange to me in all my years of traveling across the globe (mostly Pakistan) and one which I have never thought I would ever see to be so prominent in this extremely technology advanced day and age. Soon after I decided to freshen up, however much to my dismay the overhead shower was not operable and I was forced to use an extremely miniature shower head which looked much better as a bidet/lota. In addition to these problems me a regular human trying to enjoy my holiday realised that as described the hotel had neither ironing facilities nor the fitness suite they claimed to provide which was apparently closed due to covid 19 which seems to have disappeared in the UK (and around the world) since the very peculiar work events (parties) of Boris Johnson who has also disappeared. But this is not the case in this particular hotel. Lastly, the washing facilities were terrible and my laundry came back with a very bizarre smell which leaves me bewildered as I never apprehended this to be possible in the case of a laundry that had just been ‘washed’. To conclude I as you ancestor in this situation and trip advisor am advising you to not ever stay at this hotel even as the last resort in the entire of Istanbul. You’d much rather buy at tent and follow in Ottoman tradition.

Utkan, at the front desk, was especially helpful in making activity and food suggestions, and reservations if I wanted. He even upgraded my room for free, and I had a beautiful terrace with the view of the city. I had a 2 day layover here before reaching my final destination, and I really felt at home and so comfortable here. It was a nice quiet refuge to come back to after exploring the busy city. Ideally located as a base to explore inner Istanul. We walked to most of the historical locations. The staff at the hotel were attentive and always on hand. Special mention to the Head Concierge Nuri Bilge. He quickly worked out what we could see by walking and drew a perfect map of all the locations to visit! Nuri also organised a sunset luxury boat trip for us, which was reasonably priced given the quality of service. Our thanks to him. The restaurants at the hotel are excellent, (though a little pricy) if you don't want to take a chance on the cheaper restaurants. Istanbul was not what we expected and so was a pleasure to explore for the 6 days we were there.

Istanbul often gets stuck in traffic. We just set off 3 hours early and missed the plane. Taxis in Turkey are very tricky and will charge indiscriminately. It has been 2 days in this 4-star hotel, not as we mean you in Europe/ Italy ( let's mean ). Located in the center etc etc I don't dilish on this part so obviously just see the location. The size of the decent room, small bed bathroom with so much things to improve cleaning first and then functional things like the shower door who opens outwards by swallowing the bathroom if you don't hurry to close it after washing, the plastic tablet that moves when you sit and so on. What was most disturbing me was that if I left the window open, the absurd noises of the house's air conditioners were in front if I closed the window and lighted the air conditioner was adjusted to a maximum of 27th and I died cold, for 2 nights I have been very badly sleeping. The problem has also had other friends in different rooms. They have a restaurant at the latest floor with a beautiful view of nothing to say. I have dinned for 2 days in this hotel and I have to say I eat good things. I jumped that salad for breakfast, and it wasn't inspired me, and I eaten bread and marble.

Hi, we stay in hotel for 2 nights. The location is absolutely spotless. Close to all attractions, beautiful restaurants and transportation. Breakfasts are basic, but to be honest everyone could find something to eat! I am vegetarian and have no problem to fill in my stomach :)The waitress are so nice and they clean the plates and tables straight away after customers! We have been there for 2 nights, but housekeeping team do not went in our room and also do not change the towels… In my opinion thats the biggest downside of customer service! We are also little bit disappointed with additional charge after we used 3 small water bottles, two sprites and i think one Fanta. €6!We do not have problem to pay for our facilities, but there was no info in the room regarding charges at all! And when i was asking the receptionist where is the list price, he showed me some labels with prices which was hidden behind him in the corner!I thought this is a little bit strange, especially after we refused to book the taxi from hotel. Generally we are happy, but we will not return there.

It doesn't deserve even a one star. My room, apart from being very small, was very untidy; musquitos all over the place; humidified walls; the furniture demolished, the sheet ripped; the curtains were turned from white into brown because of the dust; very small and bad bathroom (so small, it was very uncomfortable to take care of physiological needs); not enough supply of essentials, extremely poor WiFi in my room; bad room isolation: from my room I could hear someone walking by in the corridor as if we were not seperated by walls. Bad costumer service. The recepsionist was very rude and not hospitable at all. The owner also, while I was asking him something, he kept laughing on his phone, rather than taking care of his clients. Very disappointed.

Very comfortable living environment, and basically no one disturbs, very close to many attractions, are walking past, eating is also very convenient. If you want to cook, there are cooking tools inside, but the driver has to buy oil and salt. Basically everything can be bought at the nearby Sok supermarket. Great value for money!

Good place, easy to find, close to many places to eat and shop. Love the sofa and coffee table in my room. The coffee table even turns into a computer desk, good idea for digital nomad like me. Good eater pressure in the shower head.

Staff very friendly and always willing to help. We enjoyed our short stay very much, the hotel is a lot cleaner and nicer then the previous reviews state, so please don’t be put off by them. The location is only really for people who need to be in that particular area, I wouldn’t recommend the location for anybody who wants to do extensive tourism without using taxis (unless you know how to use Istanbul metro).

We routinely stay at Marriott properties in Istanbul and tried this one for a change. It is located slightly outside the hustle and bustle but 5 minutes to the subway and ideally located near restaurants and shopping. Our special observation is about all of the staff; they were so friendly and welcoming. We give a shout out to Eren at Breakfast, Putra in housekeeping. The breakfast is until 11am and is the best we have had in Istanbul hotels. The executive lounge is on the top floor and the staff very good. The fare is heavy on desserts but light on other items. This has now become our hotel in Istanbul

Being a vegetarian I was a bit sceptical abt getting good food in Istanbul. But chef Oguz and Emraan Erkon as well as chef Serkan made sure I tasted delicious Turkish vegetarian meals as well as delights which was so lovingly served by their team Selcuk, Bekay, Umat and Aleena . Super super kitchen team backed by happy motivated servers and supervisors. Cansin from front office team also was very helpful. The hotel is so close to taksim square and all tram, metro and boat stations for tourist attraction spots . Elegant hotel with super comfortable rooms and a great home away from home !!! Nice concierge who guides you well abt various tourist attractions.

We had a change of itinerary which meant that the hotel we booked was not in the ideal location for us and meant lot of going back and forth and as we had not booked free cancellation were able to modify or cancel the booking. There are places to eat nearby and a nice high street for breakfast, food, restaurants but not any convenience stores. There is a nice promenade for a walk however its a bit of a mission to cross to the other side of the busy road due to the fence. So you have to walk over the manned bridge. From there its a 1.5hours walk to Sultanahmet. There is no hotel shuttle so the only other option to get to the main sights is by taxi. In the winter time its not as bad maybe 10 minutes to Sultanahmet and 20 minutes to Galata Tower. The hotel is actually pretty decent, clean, bar area with free biscuits, luggage area. I wasn't too keen on the requirement to insert your card in the lift to use it, it had us confused esp as no one told us. They serve nice range of food at decent prices. The room was big enough for a couple, with all the standard mod cons like kettle, shower, free WIFI and also had a convenient chair, desk and couch. It also had a free safe which was easy to use and enough storage area. Room was clean and found the bed pretty comfortable. The sea view was great, maybe a room higher up might have been better.

Holiday Inn Istanbul City, an exceptional hotel, IHG Group! We stayed there in June 2022, 9 days! ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS reception staff!!! We received, as it was my birthday, a business room of 55 square meters! With living room, bedroom, exceptional! Pool view! Also, the cleanliness is 100%! Very good location, right in the tram station, which has a separate line, so transport is not limited by road congestion. A bit disturbing is the fact that, sometimes, we had to leave the pool at 3 or 4 p.m. because sometimes they had wedding parties organized in the pool area. But these parties are very nice, not disturbing, because at 11 pm they were over. It is very easy to reach Florya beach, in approx. 30 minutes by MetroBus. We recommend!
