Quiet in the middle of noisy. It is an English-style mansion built during the colonial period of Sri Lanka in the 1930s. Tintagel is named after a castle in Cornwall, England (the birthplace of the legendary King Arthur) and Paradise Road is a high-end lifestyle brand created by local Sri Lankan designer Shanth Fernando. Geoffrey Bawa, a famous architect, participated in the design transformation. Before 2005, it was the residence of the President of Sri Lanka. The hall furniture layout combines the historical and cultural elements of the old objects (it is said to have been transported by China). The slightly oxidized brass chandeliers make the overall space more mysterious. All the artworks and paintings here are authentic. Therefore, a strong sense of art is born. It is definitely a photo resort (but make an appointment in advance. There are a total of 10 rooms in this hotel.) The last note is that I lived in ROOM 9 and was once a suite where Prince Charles lived.

Huge room with a really big room key plus a jacuzzi, Staying in the Executive Room (202). Ring the hotel, got a good offer about -80% off normal price (inclusives taxes and fees, but no breakfast). Had a quick dinner at the japanese restaurant, but sat in the ground floor. Very good food. Big serving portions. Very good and friendly service by the hotel and restaurant staffs. Checked out the breakfast menu in the morning, looks ordinary, didn’t think i missed anything.

I only managed to stay one night at De Saram House, which is a shame as I really liked the property. Admittedly it was initially somewhat hard to find, but once you are inside, it is so calm and picturesque that it feels like an oasis from bustling Colombo. I have attached a bunch of photos to showcase the serenity of the place. Location-wise it is also excellent, being in a quieter neighborhood that is in walking distance from very nice cafes such as Caramel Pumpkin and Seed Cafe and restaurants such as Upali's. Room-wise it is large, quiet and well-appointed, though do not expect 5-star facilities such as phone in your room or a small fridge. Which leads to my main comment - despite its luxurious look, this is very much a small establishment run by just 2 staff members. It is not a 5-star hotel with expected services such as food and drinks available and staff service all day long. Price-wise it is also not the level of a 5-star hotel so those expectations are flawed from the start. Instead, what you get is a super beautiful estate and a well-appointed and quiet room, led by very kind staff members who try their best to help. I did have some initial wifi issues but they were soon resolved. Anthony was the person who attended to me at De Saram House, and he was professional, courteous and helpful - even when I had to check out a 4:45am to catch my flight. So if you know what to expect going in, this could be the perfect stay for you in Colombo - I know that I personally truly enjoyed it.

Beautiful old style boutique hotel. Charming and very calmly .loved the overall style of the lobby area and the rooms. Clean and well maintained perfectly located in Colombo Food and the service amazing .staff really made a mark with their hospitality and carm. Specialy General Manager Chaminda Gamage and his staff Kuruppu. Manjula and Isuru. They welcomed us with the warmest smile and always around to help us. We cant wait to visit again. If only for the amazing staff who made us feel like family in the short while we were there

Basic, comfortable rooms, good value for money for short stays. However when we went there was renovation going on (due to which there was a lingering smell of paint) and the upkeep of common areas can definitely improve. Room was clean though basics like tissue paper and water could have been better stocked up. Central location which is excellent for sight seeing in Colombo.

After entering the room, I had to use a mobile phone to light and light to lock the door! Very inconvenient! I contacted the hotel to make a confirmation for my brother-in-law's anniversary dinner and was connected to Chamath Gamage, who supported me with a positive attitude & extended to help me out with the reservation since it was a special occasion at the hotel too where seating is limited. Thus being so Chamath reached out to Mr.Denver to seek advise. Within a span of 30 minutes Chamath called me back & confirmed informing me that the reservation is successful & the hotel could have my brother-in-law & his wife to enjoy their anniversary evening at the hotel that evening. I am grateful for Chamath for making the service matter along with a supportive team who was able to facilitate our request midst the special occasion. The hotel's location is its prime asset, along with the excellent staff who go out of their way to help your needs. I stayed at this hotel twice during my trip to the Island and on both occasions the team made me feel at home. The hotel is affordable for budget travelers and provides all the basic amenities and offers a very solid Sri Lankan or Continental breakfast. The bathrooms and the bed linens are clean and the rooms are air-conditioned, I did have the occasion to stay in the pricy Cineman Grand and Galleface hotels, however for the price they charge and the helpfulness of the staff. Hotel Sapphire is well worth the stay. I will give it two thumbs up.

The outside is warmly furnished. The interior environment is clean. There is a private bathroom and efficient air conditioning in the room. The sea is right outside the hotel. And there is a good café and iconic train there. The reception and owner were friendly and helpful. It was morning when I transferred over. The owner helped me check in early when the room was full, which was very decent and reasonable. All in all, whether it's a trip or a stopover, this hotel is bang for the buck. 👍🏻

A great comfortable hotel with everything necessary, bed generally super. There is a workplace, the Internet is good. It was really comfortable, unexpectedly better than on the photo. Enabled early settlement. Air conditioner, fan, hot water, safe. I didn't like · The feeling of the strict is just, the requirement to pay in dollars (but accept cards), demanded a vaccination certificate (this January 2023, when all canceled as 2 months), on the doors of the inscription that it is impossible to bring guests. After a bunch of kind gestahouses it seemed to be too serious. The area is a little strange, lots of homeless. , but walked even at night, it was okay. Overall quiet, but if someone in the corridor starts talking then noisy, staff better behave quietly, especially in the morning

Stayed in the hotel together with my son from 25.01.2024 to 28.01.2024 They were pleasantly surprised by the modern interior and purity of the hotel, as well as the kindness of the staff. Very beautiful lobby with live music every evening! A fantastic restaurant with a magnificent Swedish table for dinner, where you can try both fresh seafood and national cuisine. A very pleasant open pool on the 6th floor, where you can enjoy both the ocean view and the city. Spacious modern rooms. Special thanks to the charming girl Darje - the guests' manager. Thank you for professionalism, for kindness, for the ability to solve all guest issues quickly and clearly, and also for the interesting communication! We will definitely return here again!
