The quiet peaceful surroundings of Mt. Aso's Kuju National Park provide a green backdrop for this ryokan. In addition to the standard spring baths, Houjyuya's main open-air bath allows mixed male and female bathing. Guests dine on traditional kaiseki dinners in their rooms. Many outdoor activities like skiing are also available near the hotel.

The hotel has free parking, we are self-driving and the vehicle management is orderly. The rooms are spacious and bright, clean and tidy. The breakfast is rich and varied, and the Japanese cuisine is delicious. Soak up the hot springs, make a cup of tea, and wash away the tiredness of the day. The surrounding nine major suspension bridges are the longest and tallest bridge in Japan and are worth a look.

The bed should be paved by yourself. The hotel is relatively deserted. It can only be ordered in the hotel. It tastes good. There is no Chinese service. The English ability is also average, but the people are very good. We also drive us to the ski resort. The hotel has only eight rooms. It’s not a weekend trip, we have two rooms, it feels good, the soup is great.

Near Heichuan Hot Springs, there is a large grassland in front of the hotel for taking pictures, very beautiful. There are three kinds of hot springs, respectively, the open-air hot springs with super mirage, the big bath and private hot springs. The hotel has a free bus to Heichuan Hot Spring Street, which is very convenient. Dinner is a banquet, many exquisite styles, breakfast is a buffet form, very satisfied. The staff service is kind, but the fly in the ointment is that the room has no bathroom, it is more inconvenient to take a bath when you must dip in the hot springs. But overall, I still enjoy this hotel stay very much.

We stayed for 2 nights in December 2019. The room has a bath, and the sulfur smell is a source hanging water that seems to be very effective, with the flowers of the fragrance hot water. I entered the hot spring many times during my stay, but my shoulders and back became lighter and I realized the effect. I think it is a great hot water. The room is not large, but the ceiling is high and there is no feeling of pressure. The interior was rural and did not match their hobby, but I was able to spend comfortably. The hot spring was great and the room was comfortable, so the service was outstanding. Overall, I felt that the staff was not working to meet the needs of the guests, and that it was an operation importance to turn efficiently. If guests stay at this inn, they need to match a considerable part of the inn side. I think there is no way to be a lower price range inn, but if you ask for this price, you should provide such services according to the needs of more guests. If you maintain the price now, I think you should increase the number of employees and make a fine service or lower the price if you are a service now. I was worried about the following points. • I arrived 30 minutes before check-in. At that time, check-in was from 15 o'clock, so I was told that I was not given an option and was driven out. I knew later, but there were only three guests on that day, and the cleaning staff said that they were finished until the final inspection of the room by 12 o'clock every day. Then, I was happy to have considerations such as waiting in the lobby at least. • The accommodation procedure is performed by guests. I think it is rare in this price range inn. It's a small thing, but I'm worried. • The explanation of how to use the room was also insufficient. It's dangerous if you don't explain the caution because you use a gas stove. • Dinner is 18:00 or 18:30. There is no other choice. It was too early for us. • The dinner course was delicious with beef from Kumamoto Prefecture. I felt that it was not suitable for the price of 12000 yen per person. The chef was also like one person, and it was an efficiency-oriented menu. • There are already appetizers before you arrive at the table of meals. I was careful not to dust off my jacket. • Breakfast is also a choice of 8:00 or 8:30. The most surprising thing was that I wanted 8:30, but around 8:05, I called to prepare breakfast. Is it coming early? • When I checked out, I asked me to carry two suitcases and shoulder bags, but I was refused because I couldn't carry the bag. • Especially, the male staff who was called the chief was not enthusiastic or I didn't feel the feeling of hospitality to the guests at all.

Kurokawa Onsen is a fashionable and quiet image, but this is a hot water pool for the year, and I enjoyed it with my children! The children were very happy with the pool. There is also a family bath, so it is good to put it into the hot spring without worrying around. However, the dressing room was cold and the hot water was hot, so it was quite hot. I thought what would happen in midwinter. The temperature of the large bath was just good. The open-air bath has a lot of mixed baths, but I put it properly because it will be dedicated to women until 20:00 〜 22:00. The scenery was a roll. The meal was very delicious with the feeling that all the food was in hand! The children also ate their children's lunch. It may have been a little noisy with a child, but the staff were kind and I was able to spend very pleasantly.

I stayed for one night at the time of the Bon Festival. The impressive thing was that cleaning was well done anyway. It is said that people are using the details to make people feel comfortable unconsciously, although they are not visible on the wooden frame and shelf of the window, the dressing room and the corner of the hand washing room. It is the most important in the inn. < Spring quality > No complaints. General sulfur smell in Kurokawa Onsen. Transparent hot water drifting in hot water. Thanks to you, your skin is sluggish. The inner hot water is recommended with pure hanging. The open air is used in combination with hanging and circulation, but the sulfur smell is sufficient, and it may be good to have a wet eye to soak for a long time. <Hospitality> The staff is very pleasant. Is it a little disappointing that there was no pick-up at Kurokawa's inn? I thought, but I can convince you considering the price difference with other luxury inns. Or, I was sure I was busy because I was able to see you well. <Cooking> It is said that it is very devised, but it is one now. When the corn grains came with a small bowl, the tea bowl steamed ingredients were also corn. I felt that it was unpleasant that the boiling was commercially available. I think it is good to put the boiled morokoshi as it is, or not to put the steamed tea bowl, or to make it easy handmade shallow pickles. In addition, the sashimi of the cherry blossoms, which is the urinary of the inn, is delicious and delicious, and it is personally good, but the sashimi of the river fish is strong, so it was good if there was a choice of salt baking. I had a salt baking of cherry blossoms (〜 I wanted cherry vinegar) for breakfast, but it was less 々 heavy, and if I dared to cherry blossoms, I felt good for dried overnight in the morning.

If you have booked a dream gentian hot spring hotel, you have come to the village of Kurokawa Onsen. Kurokawa Onsen is a natural hot spring located in the deep valley of Minami-Kawamachi, Kumamoto Prefecture. The virgin forest and river are very beautiful. There are not many hot spring hotels in the village. The dream gentian is definitely one of the best. This place is suitable for two nights, one of which can be used throughout the day. I went hiking and went to the beautiful places such as "Qingliu の森", the water park, the lover's yuu, the Aso Wuyue Observatory, etc. I spent more than five hours walking in the mountains. Besides, the biggest highlight of this hotel is that the breakfast and dinner are delicious and full, and the chef is very careful. The quality of the spa is good and the hotel is in a good location, right next to the bus stop. Kurokawa Onsen has only one long-distance bus stop and no train station, so please make an appointment in advance wherever you go. Remember.

Not a luxury place as expected when we booked. Staff were very helpful and food was above our expectation (a lot to eat). Beddings were very comfortable. Room was a bit wear out. The best was the public onsen, one super big indoor and one outdoor on the second level. There was a water jet shower next to the onsen. Beware the private family onsen is not free. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
