We stayed here while visiting Baton Rouge. It's about 4 miles from downtown which was our area of interest. I think downtown was about 2 exits to the west on I-10. Hotel is located off Exit 158. We had a NS, King room with a desk and chair, couch and coffee maker. Room had a walk in shower and the bathroom was a decent size. Everything was clean and the room spacious. Lots of electrical outlets and charging ports. Floor to ceiling windows and we had an east facing view. The only downside to this hotel is that it is tall (21 floors) and right by the freeway. So there is a lot of road noise. The AC and fan were not enough to dampen the sound. I wear ear plugs so it wasn't an issue for me. My wife wore them the second night. And there are only 2 sides to the hotel so I don't believe there are any quiet rooms. The other side looks west down the freeway. We tried the restaurant, the lounge actually because the restaurant was closed. It had a short menu but what we had was OK. If visiting Baton Rouge again I would probably look for a quieter option.

The mgr, Joette, and asst mgr, Colin, are the BEST team ever! We were last-minute guests that required a roll-in shower and they delivered. The customer service and courtesy that we received from Joette and Colin was SO much more than what we had expected and we are very grateful to them and the rest of the staff for helping us salvage our vacation after a major setback in plans. The hotel is close to excellent restaurants (Acme, Parrain's, and Jolie Pearl) and was a short drive to the Blues Festival. Their ADA bathroom was well equipped and met my husband's needs. I would stay here again!

We stayed here on a family road trip. I liked the queen size beds, which are very comfortable. AC was nice and quiet and cooled the room nicely. Room was quiet even though we were right next to the I10 freeway. The room had everything we needed for our overnight stay on our road trip between Texas and Florida. Small fridge, microwave, and I liked the little coffee pot so I could have coffee before leaving my room. Since we stayed during Covid, masks were required (and I was glad) and breakfast options were very limited (we had breakfast at Another Broken Egg, highly recommended BTW). The location is convenient to I10 and many nearby restaurants to choose from. Since the beds were so comfy, we stayed here on our return home as well. We will be back next time we go to Florida!

I was on a solo road trip in October 2021 and had the opportunity of spending a Sunday night at this hotel in downtown Baton Rouge. I had never stayed at a Hotel Indigo before, and I was rather impressed! I arrived at around 2 p.m. on Sunday and was able to get into my room after waiting for just a few minutes while the hotel staff ensured that it was ready. My room (#712) was clean and comfortable... no problems there. I appreciated the business center and being able to surf the Internet during my stay. Plus, I enjoyed a drink at the bar on Sunday night. Altogether, the hotel was relatively quiet on this Sunday night which was nice. I also appreciated the free parking on site. There's a cafe on site but I can't really speak to what kind of food they served. Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay. A great location for a nice boutique hotel like this. If I ever find myself in Baton Rouge again, I would strongly consider staying here again... but at least now I know what the Hotel Indigo brand is like. I'd like to stay at more of them!

Hurricanes are common place in New Orleans and sometimes they are destructive and other times not. This past hurricane, Hurricane Zeta, was unusually powerful with high winds that caused extensive damage to the electricity poles. For that reason, we were without power for at least 3 days before we decided to go to Baton Rouge to spend the night, charge some electronics, and just relax. I have previously stayed at a SpringHill Suites and enjoyed the spacious rooms and complimentary amenities, so based on this I decided to book the SpringHill Suites Baton Rouge South. From the exterior, the hotel looks like a standard Springhill Suites. Inside, the lobby included the check-in desks, a small pantry to purchase forgotten items, a nice relaxing lounge/sitting area, as well as the restaurant where the breakfast is served in the morning. The hotel was only three floors so the first floor contained other hotel features such as business center, the pool, complimentary coffee/tea in the lobby, and a washer/dryer. At check-in the service was basic, I was not greeted as a Rewards member, and the staff did the minimal of their job; I was only there for one night so just received my key and proceeded to my room. For some reason I received a room reserved for disability access so the layout was a bit different. As you entered the door, the room was smaller than other Springhill Suites but bigger than a standard hotel room. As you entered, there was a large entryway to accommodate disability equipment. The door to the bathroom was on the left while the right had space to move around or put a luggage rack. The bathroom itself was bigger and had handle rails, but the counter space on the sink was very tiny and could barely hold anything; the hotel did provide soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and towels. Back in the room, the beds were located along the left wall and we had a room with two double beds so both beds were against the wall with a nightstand in the middle; there were also outlets available on the nightstand. Along the right side of the wall was open armoire which contained shelves on top and a microwave and refrigerator on the bottom. Connected to that was a desk which contained a lamp (with outlets) as well as a TV. Continuing along the rightside was a couch that was in between the desk and the window and there was a TV mounted on the wall across from the couch. It was a decent size room but generally Springhill Suites have bigger rooms, so I was not sure if this was a modified version or if this was another type of hotel room that was turned into a Springhill Suites. The hotel provides a decent amount of facilities for guests to enjoy including complimentary parking, complimentary wifi, complimentary breakfast, a fitness center, laundry facilities, indoor pool, business center, and complimentary coffee and hot water. The wifi was open, did not involve any passwords or login and could connect as many devices as you wanted.

I used my points for this hotel, so I didn't pay any actual dollars, but I don't think I would book this place for any more than $70. We got in at 8pm and left the next morning, so I hate to pay much when I'm only staying 12 hours. There were a lot of good reviews on this place so I was expecting a little nicer. My choice app showed $161 for the room we stayed in, and apparently they were full when we arrived. That surprised me, maybe there was a football game in town??? The room was clean enough, and it smelled good. The air conditioner ran all night, no thermostat to adjust, and it was loud. But since it ran all night, it didn't kick on and off all night either, so if you like white noise to sleep to, that was a plus I guess. I did see one roach, and in South Louisiana I think that's to be expected. There was no breakfast to speak of, a wrapped Jimmy Dean sausage, egg, croissant. No fruit, no cereal, no orange juice, just apple juice. I had brought snacks for our trip so I ate those. The coffee was awful. It wasn't it a real nice area, but there were lots of lights in the parking lot. The bed was comfortable though, so I give them credit for that. I'm not real picky, but if you are, I'd stay away from this place.

I was in town for the week while my dog was getting treatments done at the LSU Vet School. I had my young son with me. The hotel was clean, and staff were courteous and attentive. The rooms were very spacious and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We never felt like we had “cabin fever”. The hotel has ample parking and is a short drive to almost everything. The hot breakfast was delicious and well presented every morning. My favorite was the evening social they did on Wednesday with hot appy’s and finger food. Mary and Joan did a phenomenal job, and even did a Mardi Gras theme with the food and decorations for all the guests that evening. They gave me a Mardi Gras toy for my son as well. I’ve had king cake before but I overheard numerous guests saying how excited they were to try the king cake that was there for dessert, for their first time. I was super impressed!!! If we are back in this area again, this is definitely where we will be staying. I don’t have any complaints at all. Thanks for a great stay!

Such a great location within easy walking distance of downtown attractions and a view of the Mississippi. This is an older hotel that is listed on historic site registers, but I didn’t get an old vibe. Valet service and front desk provided outstanding service (kudos Ethan) and gave us drink passes as our room wasn’t quite ready at 4 p.m check in due possibly to a wedding. We enjoyed people watching at the bar while our room was being cleaned. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. Would definitely stay here again, park the car, and walk about town.

Have been using hotwire since 2009 and have never had an issue. This time, I book a hidden rate hotel in Baton Rouge for three adults (“hotel chooses bed type”), arrive and find out that I am given King bed. What??? Three adults on one bed??? Am told that this is what I booked. But my reservation says that the room will sleep the named number of people (three), “hotel chooses bed type”. It is always TWO people per bed AT MOST, NOT THREE. I ask for the manager, the manager is gone. I call hotwire. Hotwire calls hotel. The lady at the front desk says she can’t do anything. Hotwire tries to tell me that they can’t do anything. (Once in the past, the hotel told me that they couldn’t do change the reservation because I had booked with hotwire, so it was for the party I had booked with (that is, hotwire) to change anything.) Hotwire suggests I cancel the reservation FOR A FEE. I had booked with hotwire, I am not receiving what I had booked, why should I pay a fee??? I ask for a hotwire manager. Finally, hotwire agrees to do a full refund. Right away, I book another hotel for that night. The selection shows three hotels, none of which is this Marriott. Guess what I got? This very Marriott! How come??? Now, the lady at the front desk says she still sees one King bed on her side whereas my reservation still says “hotel chooses bed type”, three adults. Apparently, there is some glitch between the hotwire booking system and that Marriott. WORST THING is that I was charged $124.70 for that Marriott originally, refunded $124.70 by hotwire, charged $124.70 as a hidden rate hotwire hotel that (surprise, surprise!) got me the same Marriott again AND CHARGED $104.36 SEPARATELY BY THIS PARTICULAR MARRIOTT UNBEKNOWNST TO ME WITHOUT ME SIGNING ANY PAPERS OR AGREEING TO ANYTHING. Now disputing charge with my bank. BEWARE! P. S. Floor lamp didn’t work and all the mirrors and surfaces had whitish stains – not polished well enough. Also, dried soap spots by the sink.

The first sign on a hotel going down is when they require guests to leave cash or other equivalent deposits at the time of check-in. And in my case, they took three nights of deposits on my debit card for the one night I stayed there. At checkout in the morning, the clerk even tried to give me a cash one-night deposit back thinking I had paid cash. I told her I did not leave a cash deposit and later the next day found the extra deposits taken on my debit card when I found I could not use it later. I had stayed there a few days before as well and at 3am the front desk checked in three rooms all around mine. From 3am to 4:30am all I heard were the room doors opening and closing and people chattering in the hall as these extremely late arrivals settled in. When I mentioned this to the front desk I offered them the suggestion that very late arrivals ought to be placed in a part of the hotel away from the sleeping guests. The clerk claimed that they had no options, yet the hotel was mostly empty. The general manager, Elenora, was utterly useless and copped serious A_T_T_I_T_U_D_E when I complained abut the extra deposits. She said that the deposits would "eventually" fall off but that I could call my bank and I could then ask my bank to contact the hotel about it..... She would not identify her supervisor or let me speak with them. She also refused to provide the name of the franchise owner. And, the WiFI did not work either. This is an incompetently run hotel. Stay elsewhere with a hotel that values its guests. And, I am at Diamond level with Choice Privileges.

Had trouble with this location before but thought may be better after the remodel, to my disappointment same old thing. They give your rooms away, plain and simple! If you have a reservation and even call in to confirm, they will still give your room away and offer no assistance to help you find anything else. In this example we checked in and went to our room only to find out the door was locked from with in by the latch located on the top of the door. The latch that can only be lock by someone inside the room. After letting the desk clerk know about the situation, they stated that was impossible the room was not given to anyone else and there was no one in the room. Told her she was welcome to go check, she stated only maintenance could get in but they would not be in until the morning. Asked her how that helped me get a room in the middle of the night and she stated I would not be charged for the room but they were booked and I would have to find a room elsewhere. Safe yourself the trouble and stay else where.

I enjoyed myself! Upon arrival the staff were kind and readily available for any help we needed. Room was spotless and our stay was quiet and peaceful. But due to COVID 19 there was no complimentary breakfast, the gym and pool were closed, and also due to the two hurricanes Marco and Laura our trip was cut short because Red Cross needed the rooms. However aside from all that I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and I’d definitely recommend it!

The hotel is located on the edge of No. 12 highway, it is easy to find after getting off the highway, and on the edge is holiday inn express. There are gas stations and McDonald's nearby. The hotel lobby and restaurant have just been renovated and are very nice. The hotel room is also larger, there is also a swimming pool, and free parking. There is also a free breakfast. But the biggest problem is that the hotel seems to be in the stage of brand handover. It has just changed to a new brand, and management cannot keep up. In the first room arranged for us, I opened the quilt and felt that the sheets were not changed at all, so I asked to change the room, but basically there was no change of sheets. I found a lot of hair on the sheets and pillows, the bed The supplies were very old, and there were a lot of pilling and wire drawing. To be honest, I felt very sick at the time. I wanted to check out and change the hotel. Later, my family felt that the trouble would be gone. Then I found that the bathroom light was not on, so I called the maintenance staff to see that it turned out that there was no light tube inside, so I installed it. The toilet is not easy to use either. The shower head is also leaking and it is not closed tightly. The next morning, I found that the pillow that had fallen between the bed was wet, and only then discovered that the bathroom wall was leaking, and the carpet near the bedside was wet. No wonder there was a smell in the house at night. In short, the stay feels very bad. Although the price is cheap, if I can choose again, I will not hesitate to live on the holiday. Objective analysis, in fact, the hotel infrastructure is still good, the furniture seems to be gradually updated, if the bedding and room hygiene Do it well, it still has a certain appeal. I hope that the hotel can get on the right track as soon as possible and provide a good accommodation experience for travelers.
