We are here to celebrate a birthday. From the very start we were made to feel very welcome at the front desk by a wonderful guy called Chi You. Welcome us with a nice piece of cake, food was in generous portions. Staff were extremely friendly and polite. Room was spacious. Had our meals in the room because of the measures. Price was very reasonable considering it came with free breakfast and a $100 dining voucher. Definitely would recommend this hotel to everyone. Would love to come back again. 5 ⭐️ rating out of 5.

Hotel is on a quiet street one block away from Orchard Road. It’s between two MRT starions, Orchard and Somerset. Amenities are sufficient. Breakfast was adequate. Stayed here 4 nights and they did not repeat the menu. Will stay here again. Highly recommended

Check in was confusing as there were two queues and many counters. I was cut by several customers that came later due to that. The facility was very new and comfortable. we love the decoration and the furniture set available. Clock is missing but the bed was comfortable and the view was straight out at Orchard road as attached in the picture. Very convenient location. Breakfast was excellent as well.

This hotel features just two room types; deluxe room and premier room. The great thing about this hotel is that both room types come with club access. Booked a stay in the deluxe room. I wrote in prior to my staff informing that I’ll be celebrating my birthday and asked for a little something to celebrate my birthday and also asked for an upgrade to premier room. The hotel replied that a slice of cake would be provided and upgrade is dependent on availability on check in. Check in time is 2pm. I reached at around 1.30pm. Asked about the possibility of upgrade and was pleasantly informed that I have been given a complimentary upgrade to Premier room. I was assigned to room 801. Premier rooms are corner rooms so they are bigger (32sq m) than the deluxe rooms (26 sq m). The other difference is a choice of 5 welcome minibar items. As mine was a complimentary upgrade, was not given the minibar items. Every guest was also given an ice cream sandwich upon check in! The room was quite decent. I particularly love the Bay windows. Can spend time reading by the window. 42 inch Sharp TV. Not a smart tv but still has hdmi slot. the hdmi slot is a separate panel from the tv and I used it for my media stick to watch Netflix. Image quality was decent. Nespresso machine and capsules provided. What was interesting was besides the capsule coffee, coffee sachet were provided too. One thing to note is that bottled water is not provided. No water filter too so either you boil water or drink tap water. Bring your own water if you need too. Bed was a tad too firm for me. There was a pillow menu of 2 choices if you want other pillows. I loved the toilet too. Big, and separate shower cubicle from the bathtub. Two windows provide ample light to the toilet. Bathtub was a little small but fills quickly. Bath salt provided for tub use. Shower pressure was strong and water hot. As mentioned earlier, I indicated it was my birthday and i entered the room to find a printed birthday message on the bed and a very cute toilet with a candle affixed on it. Had a good laugh! There was also a slice of strawberry cake (from chateraise) waiting for me in the room. Service was great from the front desk. After checking in the room, received a call from the front desk asking me if everything was okay. Nice gesture! All in all, a nice quirky hotel with great service. Well worth a stay!

Make up the room on the second day (I stayed for 3 nights). The room is clean but a bit small for 3 people. Comfortable bed. There is a small gym and a small swimming pool on the 10th floor. The best thing is being on the best location you can find for the budget.

Hotel is refurbished and was previously known as Elizabeth Hotel. It is located right next to its sister property Quincy Hotel, and shares the basement carpark. Location is quiet, but just 5-10 minutes' walk from Orchard Road (take the shortcut through York Hotel and Goodwood Hotel's carparks to get to Scotts Road, then turn left and straight to Orchard, including the MRT station). Premier room was nice, but can still see some wear and tear, especially in the toilet. Only 1 desk chair for sitting. Overall, a bit smaller than I expected, but comfortable enough for 2. King bed was a bit hard for me, but pillows had mix of soft and firm, which I liked. Shower only, but had both handheld and rainfall shower heads. Can drink straight from tap. Usual toiletries, including toothbrush/toothpaste and shaving kit provided. No comb. Can request for face towels. Breakfast is by order with free flow, self-service coffee/tea/juices. Fairly decent in taste. Service is excellent, with greetings whenever I passed through the lobby and good effort to meet my requests. Didn't try the pool, but just a note that it appears larger in the photos compared to in real life (to me anyway). Trip.com had best deal at my time of purchase. Recommended for a quiet stay with easy access to Orchard + public transport with a bit of walking. Also easy access to Mount Elizabeth Hospital down the road for medical tourists.

      - In terms cleanliness, the room is immaculate. No physical signs of dust settling anywhere in the room. - Carpetted floor are quite clean with no signs of stains. - Their beds are installed with hydraulics to ease the cleaning of under the beds which is a plus point for us. - First time we have a hotel room with a fan. And it’s white. It’s quite bold for them to have white fans unless they cleaned it regularly. - We love the big mirrors on the walls. - Room was equipped with smart tv which allows you to have mirror screening. However there’s no YouTube or Netflix installed on tv. But you can use your laptop to connect to the tv via hdmi cable if you wished too. - The tv was installed in an awkward position at the side of the table. Even though it’s adjustable, it can never beat a tv that’s positioned right in front of the bed. - The balcony was clean even though there have plants there. - But we personally preferred not to have trees just outside the balcony. - There are 2 swimming pools. The big one is located near the restaurant while the small one is located between the rooms. - The fresh towels are exposed and located near the trees. It will best if the swimming pool towels are sheltered. - The shower area and bathtub are sharing the same space. Some people may not like it. And it’s quite small for an adult. That’s the only minus point. - Restaurants in the hotel aren’t exactly Muslim-friendly but should pose a problem for most locals here. Suggest to have halal options. - Room service are quite swift. They transported our luggages to our rooms. Extra pillows, bottled waters, ice cubes, bedroom slippers are granted upon request. - On the overall, we will definitely come back again when we have the next opportunity.

Room is big and clean. Hotel decor is classic rather than modern. Check in and out is very prompt but there’s no explanation of the available facilities such as pool and gym. There are 2 pools on different floors. Breakfast is buffet style, food is adequate. Location is within 5 mins from Orchard mrt. Hotel is also connected to Voco Orchard hotel through some high end stalls.

The location is great and staff friendly, but unfortunately the design of these pods and the loudness of other guests made this a really uncomfortable stay. I’d think again before booking a capsule hotel outside Japan. Both my experiences in Singapore were poor. For those on a tight budget only.

Check in was superb by friendly staff Li Yang. We got our room before 1pm and he acceded to our request for a higher floor w MBS view. As our booking was to celebrate my daughter's birthday, Li Yang mentioned that he will check if the cafe has extra cake and he will get it sent to our room. However, we did not receive the cake during our stay, so on check-out day, we happened to see him at the counter. We jokingly mentioned about the cake and he apologised. In the end, he gave us a small box of chocolate and Fairmont mascot toy. Breakfast was excellent at Asian Market. Checking out was attended by Pravin and he gave me a Fairmont keychain when i ask if i can get a souvenir from the hotel.

Good: - It's near the train station (closer to Rochor than Little India) - there are a lot of restaurants near the area - Beds are clean - our room had its own toilet and bath so no need to share with other rooms in the hostel Bad: - the room is a bit cramped with 6 bunk beds, small area to move around. They even have 1 extra bed that would take up the entire walking area. Talk about maximizing the space. - the lockers are a bit small so if you have a big bag, it will take up the floor space, which meant even lesser area to move around - shower is a bit small, so when the water splashes to the door, water will leak out of the shower area - reception is not 24/7, I arrived there at 7am only to realize it was still closed. I had to come back at opening time (8:30am), but still waited for the receptionist to open the window at 9am. Why post the opening time as 8:30am when you are only opening it at 9am? Overall, I think the hostel is ok, if you need somewhere cheap, it's an ok option. You get what you pay for. Fyi, toiletries and towels are not included, you have to pay for it if you need one. Better bring your own. For PoGo players, there are two pokestops accessible from the hostel

Booked the single room as a quick 2N getaway for the long Vesak Day weekend. Added breakfast at the restaurant for each day. The Good: - Room was very clean. No visible stains. Standard room amenities were present. - Business nature of hotel is apparent - solid desk for work, and Wi-Fi is fast and stable. Plenty of sockets available for devices. - Breakfast at the restaurant was solid. Was a bit disappointed that the selection didn't change on the second day, though. - Location meant easy access to food at Bugis Street area. Was able to walk to Rochor station within 3 minutes. The Bad: - Mini-fridge was damaged, and blanket was missing at first. Replacements arrived after around 20 minutes from call to housekeeping. - Television was rather grainy in quality, and channel selection was limited. The Weird: - Ended up being given a wheelchair accessible room. While the room was a bit more spacious than normal, the curtained off washroom area made it feel a bit like a hospital ward. Conclusion: - Great place if you're here for a business trip, or if you want to explore the area for a day or two. You might want to consider somewhere more luxurious if you want a relax-cation for longer.

As an Ascott group member, there are decent expectations of an Ascott experience in all the properties in which I had once stayed (Ascott, Somerset, Citadines). Citadines Rocher (recently opened in 2020) was one of my top choices in having a local staycation because of its location and price range. However, it was an overall disappointing experience, and here’s why: 1. No daily housekeeping service 2. Our bathroom door could not close. It was completely off the ledge. 3. Reception is busy all the time. Phone calls are often not answered 4. This hotel was most probably a designated hotel used for both Malaysian citizens who were unable to return home due to locked borders, as well as returning Singaporeans to serve their mandatory 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN). There were confirmed COVID-19 cases within my period of stay. We were notified by a letter from the management. The least the management could do was to provide a mask or sanitizers to guests. We also chanced upon 2 medical workers fully donned in PPE escorted a guest to the ambulance. Scary stuff. 5. We took our own trash out of the room since day 1 of check-in. It was not cleared even upon checking out. Dear Citadines Rocher, please review your services. I had absolute faith and would like to continue giving my support to Ascott despite this awful stay.

Located right next to a bus stop and a 5-minute walk from a MRT station, this budget hotel screams value. Two restaurants right at the ground floor of the premises and a very famous Indian restaurant (A2B) within 3 minutes walk away, good food is very close by. Mustafa centra is a 5-minute walk. A no-frills, impeccably clean hotel in a great location - excellent value for money. We stayed there for 9 nights and every morning the cleaning team was prompt to leave our room blushing clean. My request for extra towels were immediately taken care of and seen through all 9 days. 24-hour hot water and air-conditioning were top-notch. Special shout-out to Ms Pam and Richard at the front desk who gave us wonderful tips about their country and made us feel right at home. The room cleaning persons (sorry, I missed taking their names) did a fabulous job every single day! I was travelling with 2 young kids and had requested a room on a higher floor with a double bed. They were able to accommodate me on their 7th floor (not noisy at night) but could provide me with only twin beds. This was a minor blip in the otherwise exceptional service provided my the hotel. Rooms near the lift tend to be a bit noisy throughout the day. Room # 710 was great - 7th floor and far from the lift. I'd recommend this place again to anyone looking for a no-frills budget hotel in a great location.

The location is very very 👍 as with TEL now running through steven & orchard from woodlands. As i stayed woodlands, the time used to travel to hotel cut short. Beautiful swimming pool Nice cozy area with different chairs n tables for ppl to chit chat. 24hr gym which i didnt try as my kid w me. Theres a 24hr self service laundry at level 2. But the machines the open close area abit dusty / dirty. There are 4 buses outside the hotel which you can travel to either Orchard or Dhoby Gaut The room was small if you are going as a family of 3s. Though its just nice for me and my 4yo girl. Toilet indeed abit small but very clean, no algae which some hotels toilet do have... Shampoo ×1 in 30mls bottle Body wash ×1 in 30mls bottle No handwash soap though, which is a (-) for me as im particular about having hand soap. The aircon was kinda of stuffy. Took a long time to cool down the room abit. On 1 condition is that you have to stay in the room for hours before the aircon can be cooling. Because there is only 1 room card to use. Hence each time u went in and out of the room w the card, the aircon machiam forever never turn on kind. Both me and my girl woke up 2am sweating also because of the aircon...not much aircon.. And they turn off the aircon at 11am, 1hr before check out time which is 12noon 🤷🏼‍♀️ aircon issue is a big NO NO as compared to the hand soap . Otherwise, everything is really great

Well located, really nice staff for everything, including informations. Bed was comfortable, good shower, breakfast simple but ok. The 2 biggest problems are the travellers who don't respect the sharing room after 23h00 (need a corfu or to be advise) and the room on the street side with a restaurant open 24/24, are to to noisy. You just get little sleep. Coming from Airport, with MRT get off at Jelan Besar exit B, turn right, walk to Dickson Road. The hotel was a nice hotel, the facilities were clean and nice. But the service at the front desk can be better. The check in was slow, with only 1 person at the front desk even though there were many customers. During the check out, the hotel SOP was messy and the hotel charged me again for my room even though I had already paid via trip. I had to go to the front desk and ask for a refund. The hotel refused a cancellation, claiming that I had to contact Trip and to email the hotel, as they were unable to proceed with the cancellation even though they have just processed it 10mins ago. The manager claimed that it's easy for the hotel to collect money, but difficult for a cancellation/refund. The whole process took about 30 minutes, with many discussions, phone calls to trip.com, before the hotel cancelled the payment. Overall, apart from the messy check in and check out, it was a nice stay at the hotel. The facilities were good and the food was nice.

This was an overnight stay and we (two mature aged Australian couples) arrived from India very early on the first day (around 7.25 am). The hotel staff allowed us to check in very early. There were two couples and two people were unwell. So if we had needed to sit around for many hours awaiting a room it would have been painful. But the hotel counter staff said ”It is very early but we are flexible here and we will try to get your rooms ready ASAP”. One couple were in their room by about 8.30am and we got ours about 9.45am. This was excellent service and above and beyond normal expectations. The rooms are small but everything works: clean, nice bathroom, air-con, comfy beds, safe, tea making facilities, hairdryer, Wifi etc....all inclusive and working well. Very pleased and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone on an overnight stay or a short stay in Singapore and not wanting to spend a fortune on expensive hotels. They ring taxis for you and the cost to the airport was only about $10AUD.

We had a 3 days 2 nights stay in this hotel. It was our first time staying here. The location is stretegically located within the prime area. The transportation was very convenient too. We enjoyed our breakfast buffet spread in the hotel these 2 mornings. My mum loved the food especially the bread and salad. The food was being served hot and nice. We missed the Ah Yat Abalone Restaurant which was located inside the hotel. We have also made full usage of the facilities e. g the swimming pool too. But l find that the pool is a bit small and if only we do not need to use the spiral staircase to the Swimming Pool as my mum have some difficulties climbing up and down the stairs too. The staff was friendly and nice as they have attended to our special needs. E. g the toilet was choked and the plumber came to look into the issue twice. The hotel room was okay except that the sofa have some permanent stains on it. But we have forgotten to ask for separate beds as both my mum and me tucked in for bed at different timings. Nevertheless, both of us slept well. We enjoyed watching TV channels like HBO and Phoenix and of course our local 🇸🇬 channels too as well. Thank you for making our stay comfortable. Might consider to put up our StayCation over here once again soon in months' time.

The TV in our room didn't work and the staff was kind enough to allow us to change rooms. Their service was great. Many food options around the hotel. Room was clean and spacious.

      Orchard Road

      Jurong
Check-in was done by Reynaldo. Had to wait a while while registering and clearance. Me and 3 kids in tow. The room was spacious. But not enough chair to sit around. Ended up sitting on the floor while eating when u have more than 2 pax in room. I was celebrating my son birthday and we had make our guest sits on the floor. Overall stay was nice. The bed is comfy and Aircon is cooling. Will come back again.

      Bugis
The hotel is strategically located, right across the exit D of Bugis MRT station. It could be a walking distance to Promenade/Esplanade, Suntec, Haji Lane and some other interesting tourist places. The buffet restaurants are just behind this hotel and there is Cold Storage grocery store at the basement of Bugis Junction. The room maybe small, but its location matter most.

      Lavender
Brought my parents for one day staycation. I decided a place where we hardly go to have that away from home feel. We stay Jurong West. There are many choices near Arcadia but it was Arcadia family room (with window) that attracted me. However, was disappointed as the reception informed that there only 1 of such room and was taken. Felt cheated and that the money was not well spent.

      Chinatown
Location is great , near many food places & you can feel the weekend mood there . However the room can be improved? External is nice but not really on the interior or is it because I didn’t upgrade for club room access.. The bed needs a replacement ? Everytime I sit on it , there is a sound . Is not stable 😰 secondly the toilet bowl , it also makes a sound when I sat on it . & the drainage , there is white substance on it , not sure if it’s toothpaste or ? & the shower had a weird smell & the shower floor is dirty .. Not sure if is fully booked or the cleaning was done quickly that they missed out on what I’ve mentioned .. I had to wait to get my room keys after I registered . & i didn’t get up to check on it , it would be endless waiting ?

      West Coast
The four of us stayed here on our visit to singapore. The front desk lady charged or room deposit instead of merely taking a credit card number to charge later in case of damages (this was against policy I discovered later). We stayed in a room with a queen bed and two bunk beds, ensuite bathroom, plus a small balcony. The room was clean and comfortable - all features functioned properly. The location is far from the main areas of the city and on the other side of singapore from the airport. A subway station is about 10-15 minutes walk away. A bus stop is directly in front of the guesthouse. It's a solid 30 minute trip away from little india or little china. Being a hostel we had concerns about noise at night but were not bothered by any. We did not utilize the breakfast option but did eat at the restaurant across the street and found it acceptable. On checkout I found that they could not refund the deposit. After working with the manager over the next several days she refunded the deposit to me via paypal instead of a credit to my original card. That was not desirable at all, but was the best she said she could do. On the whole this was a nice stay, I only advise you to be cautious about your room deposit.

      Geylang
Very small but cosy hotel located in geylang. Plenty of eateries around the hotel. A nightlife worth exploring. Accessible to buses and two MRT stations - kallang and aljunied MRT. Even though the hotel is run down, the basic amenities are provided. The cheapest budget hotel we have been so far.
