The room is generally small, the extra bed is a bit difficult! Breakfast is average, not too rich, you can eat enough, after all, this economic hotel is positioned, There is a shopping mall behind the hotel. There are many restaurants on the third and fourth floors, and there are also Indian restaurants. Most of them are fried chicken shops that locals like.

Must begin thanking the front office staff for being helpful and concerned, to accommodate us at absolute short notice. Being ejected out of Mercure, despite having a confirmed reservation, we were desperate for a hotel to sleep over. Jardy popped up on bookings.com. The hotel staff had not received the bookings online confirmation, but the front office went out of the way to provide us rooms for the night. On entering the room, you realise it gets over before it starts. Very minimalisitc features and amenities. Not sure, who decides on the star ratings (Jardy has a 4-star rating!!!). a poor wifi connection. Very ordinary and inadequate lighting in the room. All rooms are non-smoking. The hotel does not have a bar. The one restaurant in the hotel serves some food and also is the breakfast place. The comforter is kept folded in the cupboard. Dont be surprised not finding one on the bed. The rooms have split AC units and the unit in my room was not functional. Luckily the weather was nippy and i did not have a need for the AC.The hotel itself is located in a busy suburb, sorrounded by car mechanic shops. they do have a shuttle to and from the airport. It is also located not very far from the airport. The breakfast spread was ordinary, but decent. . i would not want to stay at the Jardy for comfort or ambience. Did see a lot of arab families staying there. i suppose the absence of liquor makes Jardy their prefered choice.

Great two bedroom apartment and paid around £240 for 5 nights including standard continental breakfast (with lots of sweet pastries!). Location is a 45 minute tram ride/underground to the Casbah/Algiers centre but the stop is literally across the road from the hotel. The beach is 100m away along with a supermarket. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful but there are no maps available of the area. For a map, visit one of the 5* hotels like the Sofia. There is a free airport shuttle car on request (15 minute journey). For drinkers, there is no alcohol in the hotel but there is a bar within 5 minutes walk that is popular with locals - Mediterranean Restaurant (it's called a restaurant - and does sell food - but it's basically a bar).

The hotel is more classic, like other hotels of the same type, without slippers and toothbrushes. The glassy drinks in the small refrigerator are free, but seem a bit stingy. The front desk has to ask me to guarantee with a credit card. According to the national conditions of this country, can't cash deposit be accepted? The overall feeling is OK, but this price is not as good as booking an ibis.

The hotel is about 30 minutes away from the airport. The location is easy to find. The windows of the room can be opened. The room environment is good. The breakfast is very rich. There are various fruits. The Chinese can eat all you can eat. The front desk service attitude is also very good. Because there is no Uber in Algeria, the front desk can take a taxi call instead.

Stayed at this hotel for the second time, the hotel is very good, the price is not bad in the local area, the breakfast is great, mostly sweets, there are many small restaurants around, PIZZA is relatively cheap, the average consumption per person is 30~ 40 yuan, there is a FISH FISH seafood restaurant in the back box is also good, the per capita is only about 100 yuan. NOTE: Don't go to the bank to exchange USD, you can find a local shop. The current exchange rate is about 1:25.

Good location for tourists. Although the hotel seems to be quite old, it is an actually quite a clean hotel. However, we are able to check-in much earlier even though we arrived about 10.00 am. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. The water is not clean, that's why I think they did not provide us a heater to make coffee. They just provide water mineral. Our room is on the 6th floor and our room is split two levels - the bed is on the above level and need to climb a ladder. There are two bathrooms. Breakfast is very simple - mainly bread and cakes or biscuits. There are no fruits. However, the location is great to reach the shopping areas which is just 100-200 meters from the hotel. You should take the Underground Metro which is cheap enough to travel from one end of the city to another. The station is quite nearby. We only realized this on our last day! Wifi is low speed - not that great to do work.

This small but tall hotel is around the corner from a beautiful, trendy main drag and is surrounded by restaurants (great Palestinian one if you go to the main road and turn right). The concierge is super friendly. There's an elevator but only fits one person with a bag at a time. I was pleased with the bed, bathroom, AC and little deck and windows. I felt very safe (heck, you will feel safe in Algiers in general, they mostly hate Islamists as much as Westerners do). Here's the part that I will never forget. I got salmonella from a bad fish soup and my guide actually brought a doctor up to make a house call in my room. He did a full checkup and gave me meds and I was better in hours, able to get home. I will never forget the kindness of the Algerian people.

I was on my Business Trip to Algeria and I chose Lalla Doudja for my stay. It was a pleasant stay, Hotel rooms are quiet, modern and comfortable. I found their rooms better than MERCURE and IBIS. The Hotel is rightly located at Sidi Yahia, surrounded by many eateries and shopping joints. Their front desk staff were very friendly and always there to assist. However Television had only 2-3 English channels including news channel. That isn't enough for international guests. Maybe they can work on that.

We spent three nights at the El Aurassi on the way into the country and again for a single night on the way out. We opted for the BayView Room upgrade which I highly recommend if you are going to spend any time in the room. Besides the awesome view there is a large private balcony with comfortable seating. The room had a comfortable king sized bed with a large bathroom with separate toilet room. The usual amenities were provided in terms of soaps, shampoos and conditioners. We did not get bathrobes which would have been a nice touch. There are several restaurants in the hotel. We opted to have dinner in the Algerian restaurant and were pleased with the service, food and wine. There also is an Italian spot which we did not use and a buffet style restaurant which we only used for breakfasts, which were good with a wide variety of foods. We also had a few glasses of wine in the lounge which had a very competent pianist playing. The hotel was relatively empty which was OK with us as we understand sometimes it is overrun with conferences. One slight issue was they wanted us to charge everything to our room and clear the bill out at the end of our stay. Apparently the credit card machines do not work. I do not like billing everything to my room for what should be obvious reasons. Nevertheless, our checkout process was only slightly protracted as they did all the calculations at checkout. I should mention that they have impressive security for vehicles entering the grounds. If I go back to Algiers I would definitely stay here again.

We spent a total of 5 nights at this hotel. Our twin room was smallish but the bathroom was bigger. The room lighting was good. The single beds were comfortable. The bath towels were soft and fluffy. You will find the expected toiletries of shampoo, conditioner and bath gel but no body lotion. They also do not provide bathrobe or slippers. The selection at the breakfast and dinner buffets were limited and more or less the same every day/night. Wifi was good. The biggest issue at this hotel is the elevators of which there are 3 but they frequently skip floors. At peak hour, we waited upwards of 10 minutes and still couldn't get an elevator downstairs - we resorted to the stairs!

The hotel is excellent for the price. A little bit outside the city center (you have to take a taxi for 200-500 dirham), or you can walk 10 minutes to the closest metro station. But given it's up on the top of a hill, you get amazing views. The buffet breakfast is plentiful, the rooms are clean, the best comfortable. But the best things about this hotel is the staff. Especially Said and Hocine, who went out of their way to help us with anything from renting a car, show us where we could get beer, and advise on where to stop on our way to Ghardaia. We've made friends for life, but we're not unique. Apparently they have a whole book of comments from foreigners who just loooove their hospitality. Highly recommended.

The hotel location was ok as not far from the sports arena we needed. Restaurant on site but unfortunately the breakfast did leave much to be desired. It was boiled eggs, french bread, hot drink, youghurt, hot drink and squash every mirning. The pastries were not fresh 'daily' so we gave up on breakfast on day two. Dinner is a set menu with not much variation so again we decided to eat elsewhere. The cleanliness of the dining room was nit great, condiments containers were sticky and dirty unfortunately. No running water on day two and their reservoir was empty! This was a big problem!! The ladies at reception were however very helpful and a delight to chat with.

PRO Spacious room with nice sea view, large screen TV, A/C, large closets, large bathroom with hair dryer, water bottles in the room. Spacious lobby. Two bars (one with alcohol and companions) on the 1st floor. Nearby shwarma sandwich places for food and a few small shops, all one block away on the main streets at either end of the hotel. Underground parking. Quite good value for money, keeping in mind the comments below. CON Several lights with burned out bulbs; no electrical socket near bed; only CNN and two movie channels in English; not enough towels in the bathroom; insufficient number of hangers in the closet. The breakfast buffet had too many breads, no fresh fruit and very limited hot dishes. It is tolerable but it could be much better. Orange juice was spilled all over the counter and floor, making a big mess, but the staff were too careless to clean it up. In general, the hotel staff could be much more friendly and conscientious. No snacks or peanuts in the bar with beer. The 13th (top) floor bar and restaurant seem to be closed. The tiny swimming pool is very uninviting and useless, in a small courtyard next to the breakfast room on the ground floor. Hotel staff are not naturally friendly or helpful. One evening upon return to my room, I found a man inside the bathroom with the door closed, saying I had to leave the room because of maintenance! Another time the lifts were not working (I was on 10th floor) so I took the steps but the doors locked behind you and the steps are not lit. So I was trapped in the dark! Internet WiFi was extremely unreliable - not working for 3 days, then only once in a while after that. The hotel is nice but the staff and the poor Internet will make your stay less satisfactory. Both of these issues should be solved very easily without much effort, only some attention. TIP Be very careful when taking the steps - block a door open so you do not get trapped! Do NOT stay here if you need reliable, reasonably fast Internet. It is slightly better on the 1st floor near the bars. The prices vary tremendously on the online booking sites. I found the best price on Hotels.com (Booking.com was never able to accept my CC!). Ask for a room on the top floors (10-12) with a sea view. Do NOT stay here if you are expecting friendly, helpful, smiling service 24/7.
