We just about squeezed in this post-Christmas overnight stay before moving out of Tier 2 and us all closing down again. What a wonderful little place that although being local we had no idea was here. We had the quirky two storey room reached by spiral staircase which added to the fun and with some trepidation braved the 5pm hot tub slot with freezing temperatures outside. We were not disappointed - 40 degrees and champagne on tap a different and enjoyable experience indeed. After a pre-booked restaurant meal out we had a brandy in the bar area before retiring up to our room and a lovely clean, crisp breakfast the following morning. A great stay, a lovely place and special mention to the young lady on reception who was helpful and a delight all the way through our stay. Very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. we'll be back !

If you are traveling on a budget in Bath St Christopher’s Hostel is a wonderful alternative. The hostel clean, inexpensive and provides breakfast if you book directly through their website. The beds and bathrooms are meticulously maintained for communal accommodation. The hostel is ideally located in the centre of Bath and across from a Waitrose. International guests of varying ages are generally well-mannered and respectful of others. There is an unwritten code of etiquette amongst guests that seems imbued by the young staff who welcome all. The chill room upstairs provides the basics- water, tea, coffee, sugar, two refrigerators and a television. The bar downstairs offers a lively atmosphere for younger guests. If staying in the larger dorm rooms you will hear the music but it is tolerable for the price (free earplugs at reception), the cleanliness and kindness of the staff. The female dorm is recommended, here towels and hairdryers are provided, the room is quieter and more private. Unisex and women's bathrooms accommodate all. - Somerset Reviewer

An underwhelming experience , I guess due to COVID restrictions. The room was fine , clean and with the usual tea, coffee, biscuits and a fridge which was a big plus. Breakfast was however disappointing , fruit juice in packets , cooked breakfast was average and rather bland . I understand the health issues but I spent Tuesday night in another hotel , albeit much smaller in an Oxfordshire town but it was a completely different experience .Fresh juice , eggs to order etc The final disappointment was the parking bill for £15 for the night A good hotel chain but this could’ve been better

The hotel is old, exquisite and comfortable. Although it is not as big as the domestic five-star, the room is quite big in Europe. The decoration is also good and very charming. There are many attractions around, it is very convenient to walk, and it is very close to the railway station. We have two high floors and a good view, which is very good. The service was particularly intimate. I was cold in London. I felt a lot of coughing in the hotel for a few days. The hotel learned that I would provide lemon slices and honey to me every day, so that I could ease a lot at night and the service was very intimate. The restaurant is not bad, the breakfast can't be said to be full, but it is enough to eat enough.

When booking the Kennard for my trip to Bath for the half marathon I didn't realise what a perfect location for the start finish it is. In fact, turns out the location is perfect for anywhere in Bath. Everything is within 10 minutes walking distance. Parking is easy, with plenty of spaces near by on the street. I booked the snug room in the top floor, which you need to be fit to get too. Certainly a lot of stairs involved. The room is a good size for 1. It has all the amenities one could need, including delicious homemade shortbread and a well stocked selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The toiletries are from The White Company, which was a pleasant treat. Breakfast was brilliant, with a huge array of options. The porridge was delicious and plentiful on the 1st morning. 2and morning I had scrambled eggs and salmon which was cooked to perfection. I also treated myself to the buffet which had more than anyone would expect, IMO. Most importantly was the availability of peanut butter. The wifi service was strong, decor clean and appealing. Basically when I return to Bath I will return to the Kennard. Thanks to a fabulous team for making my stay so personable, interesting and enjoyable.

Where to begin... basically room 54 was a disappointment. I bought a surprise night away as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. It all started when our room wasn't ready at 3pm when we were told at the front desk that it was - we had to wait an extra half an hour. Then once entering the room we found it very cold but presumed that the heating had just been put on for us on arrival as the gage was at 23 degrees and 'on'. An hour passed and we still found it freezing and tried to change the temp gage but no luck with any temperature change in the room. Whilst we were in the room I also noticed the curtain pole was hanging out of the wall clinging to one fastening which looked dodgy. We went to front desk and asked for someone to have a look at the temp and also the curtain rail before we went out for dinner. On our return about 9:30pm the manager I believe his name was 'Jet' was there and he apologized and tried to get us another room with no luck as it was fully booked. He gave us an extra duvet and said he would try and look at the heating again for us.After getting ready for bed it was getting colder in the room and I went out to complain a second time. There was lots of back and forth with the manger and he was saying that we had turned it off which wasn't the case. (No one really knew why the heating wasn't working and all the staff kept blaming each other) On our 3rd time complaining , this was now 11:30pm, I was fed up and demanded a portable heater as I was literally in bed fully clothed with 2 duvets on me. If we hadn't had anything to drink we would of driven home. I had no sleep as I was so cold, maximum of 2 hours. I got very upset because I expected this weekend to be lovely and a real treat for my boyfriend. In the morning we woke up still literally freezing. I opened the curtain and the curtain rail and pole both fell and almost knocked me out. We obviously wanted to check out asap, we spoke to another manager to tell him what had happened with our room and he didn't seem bothered at all. No emotion and didn't feel sorry for us. (Also when checking out there was a big queue for breakfast behind us, so the manager was talking very quiet and not listening to us properly as he basically wanted to get rid of us as soon as possible.) Once we finished complaining and checking out the manager didn't even say sorry and I felt heartbroken that I'd paid so much for a lovely surprise in Bath which turned out to be more hassle than it was worth. If you get room 54 then good luck with the heating. Such a shame as the hotel was in a great location and beautifully decorated.

Very recommended to stay, cost-effective, the environment is very good. Beautiful environment, good geographical location, convenient transportation, comfortable and sanitary rooms, service staff are very enthusiastic, facilities are very humane, high-speed network signal is good, the view outside the window is good. The design of the room's small pendulum is also very distinctive. Next time, check in.

This is an apartment in a great location, next to Bath Pedestrian Street, and the Bath Bath is close by. But do n’t live here if you do n’t have enough English or you are in a hurry. Because the hotel's reception is at another hotel. When I arrived, I called the phone above the door, and the phone gave me a password to open the door. The apartment door was unlocked and the key was on the table. The door of the apartment was indeed locked. They asked me to wait. After waiting for 20 minutes, it was raining outside, and I was in a bad mood with the children. So English is not good, or do n’t book here if you only live one or two days. But the room facilities and equipment are still very complete. It is the second floor where we live, the ground is not flat, the ground of the whole building is very inclined to the side, so the feeling of living is still a bit uncomfortable

My boyfriend and I wanted to enjoy the final sunny weekend of the year in Bath as a last minute trip, and ended up booking a different hotel, and were sourly disappointed when we arrived there. This ended up being a total blessing in disguise, otherwise we'd not have found Eight (our new favourite hotel!). I decided to call Eight and ask whether, by any chance, there was any availability at all for that night. I'd seen it before and thought it looked lovely, but unfortunately there was no rooms available for our night, but as if by magic, there was 1 room available following a late cancellation - the 'snug' room on the top floor. I must say that from the moment I made the phone call to Eight that evening, they were fantastic and I truly could not flaw the staff or the hotel in any way. Adrian met us at the front door straight away, just off of the street in a fantastic location, and took us straight up to view our potential room. The hotel is beautifully decorated, modern, minimalist (so important in the current climate) and wonderfully maintained for such an old building. Not to mention, spotlessly clean. Our room was cosy, homely and just felt as though we'd stepped out of busy bath and into a total haven of calm and peacefulness. I instantly got that excited buzzy feeling that I love so much when you find a special restaurant or hotel! Of course, we took the room. Despite being so late checking in, Adrian stayed past his hours to get us settled in, bought us a couple of drinks up, and even put our picnic in their personal fridge to keep it for us for the next day (there's no fridge in that particular room due to space). He took us up the breakfast menus and popped out to M&S before it closed to get what we required for our stay. He also said that the breakfast slot available was 8:30am (a little early for us) and then offered us out of hours 10:15am, again, way beyond the necessary, in order to make our trip a little better and more relaxing. He also moved our check out back to 12 so we weren't rushed following breakfast. We felt so at ease with Adrian and there was absolutely nothing that was too much to ask. We had a wonderful and cosy nights sleep, the beds were delightfully comfortable and I found the church chimes across the way a lovely way to wake up on a Sunday! We headed down for breakfast, to be welcomed by a beautiful granola and fruit starter, all of the preserves and condiments you could wish for, toast, coffee and juices, and a freshly and beautifully cooked breakfast. This is when we met the owner, Nathalie, who is so welcoming and friendly it was just like seeing an old friend again. We asked for a couple of extra slices of toast, and it was no trouble at all. We asked for some water, and again, it was there within seconds and with a smile. There was 1 other couple in the breakfast room, and well spaced apart, which felt very secure and well monitored during the current pandemic. Aside from this, Nathalie and her team

We stayed just 1 night in order to experience the Christmas market. Bath was very busy but the guest house is a peaceful retreat. It is an easy quick walk to all the attractions and the owner gives you a parking permit for local on street parking. We managed to find a space a few steps away. Our room 7 was right at the top- rather a steep climb but we had been warned. It was small but had everything you would wish for. Working wifi, very comfy warm bed,tea and coffee facility, hot water, good pressure shower and very quiet. We were given a front door key for evening access. You order breakfast the night before and it is made freshly. Good choice with some help yourself cereals, yogurt, then a cooked option. I would happily stay here again for its comfort, affordability and location. I am only very sad that I lost my necklace in the guesthouse. It wasn't financially valuable but I wore it every day for 50 years as it had huge personal value to me. Perhaps it will turn up.

I surprised my boyfriend with a night away for his birthday. Oh my goodness what a good choice of hotel! Balloons in the room upon arrival and a bottle of bubbly was a perfect touch. The Staff here could not do enough for us. We stayed the night and had dinner in the restaurant the staff in the restaurant worked so hard and always had a smile on their faces, again could not do enough for us and made the night what it was. A big thank you to everyone at the Bird. We will be returning (this time for a little longer than a night). Ash

What an absolutely superb hotel, beautifully decorated and exceedingly comfortable. The rooms are 5 * the breakfast was 5* and when we returned from completing the Bath Half Marathon to collect our cars we were allowed to use a room for a shower, which after getting very wet was most appreciated. This service is what makes the difference, resulting in this review and most definitely a return to the hotel. Thank you so much from GJ, BK and PS.

We booked the Brooks Guesthouse hotel for one night on our recent wedding anniversary, choosing the special offer with Four Poster Superior King room, afternoon tea, Prosecco, breakfast and late checkout. Unfortunately there were no superior king rooms available so we accepted a twin room made into a double which was completely fine for our one night stay. The guesthouse is about 10 minutes walk from the train station and really easy to find. The Royal Crescent is at the rear of the building just a couple of minutes walk up the hill. Check-in was a simple affair following current Covid-19 guidelines, our room was ready and left unlocked so we didn’t need to touch anything at reception whilst we registered. Our double/twin was quite small but the bathroom was quite big running the whole length of the room and contained a good quality glass shower cubicle. The boutique decor of the room is charming and the antique furniture pieces compliments the style of the building well. We booked our cream tea in the downstairs breakfast room for 14:30 and this was served promptly at that time, the food was nicely prepared and served with fresh tea/coffee. Once we finished this we wondered back to our room to drink our Prosecco via the well stocked honesty bar. The Guest living Room is a cosy and comfortable place to relax, the fire was lit during our stay so nice and toasty. Next morning at 09:30 as requested after a brief tap on the door the amazing breakfast hamper was delivered and left outside. The hamper contained loads of goodies including bacon baguettes, finger rolls, cereals, fresh milk, orange & apple juice in reusable glass bottles. There was more than enough food for two and we didn’t finish everything. We really enjoyed our breakfast hamper it’s something a bit different and certainly something we’ve never experienced before. Had a lovely stay at the Brooks Guesthouse, brilliant value for money, good location, polite and very well organised staff. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for one night so we could visit the Christmas market. We couldn't check in till 4pm so we parked up at the park and ride, and went after we had finished our Christmas shopping. The farmhouse is a beautiful building and has parking available. The Male owner seemed very friendly on our arrival and gave us details of a pub down the road that we could go to for dinner. We had booked a Superior King room, mainly for its bath which looked amazing! The whole room was beautiful. Elegantly furnished and had everything we needed. Very clean, very welcoming. After our meal we returned so we could rest before our return five hour journey in the morning. Unfortunately, after running 3 or 4 inches of bath water I realised it was stone cold which was disappointing after a 4am start and a long day. I decided to have a shower, reasoning it came off a different pump, which luckily it did so it was warm. However, having only turned it up to the minimal pressure allowed (following the note on the shower door) it still filled the tray up so I had to turn it off and wait for it to drain before I could continue. I had to do this twice as I had stupidly started washing my hair before realising this would happen. It was a beautiful bathroom, but the shower really isnt fit for purpose unless you enjoy a quick, lukewarm shower with the pressure of someone trying to blow out a candle! Its such a shame because it ruined the whole booking for me. When you're away from home you want better facilities than you have at home, or at least a decent standard. We decided to have an early night but there was lots of noise coming up from downstairs. It's difficult because obviously people were coming and going but I was surprised at how noisy it was. We put the tv on to try and drown it out a bit but the control was broken so we couldnt do that. At 23.30 after the doorbell rung and people were singing Christmas songs I poked my head out the door and asked if they could keep the noise down. Two young women apologised and we never heard another thing. I know I may come across as miserable and not in the festive spirit, but we were knackered, our room was disappointing and the least we wanted was a decent nights sleep! Breakfast the next morning was nice. It was continental style which I enjoyed but my husband isn't really a fan of. The female owner served breakfast, but did not ask how we had slept, or how we had found our room which I found very odd. And we had unfortunately received a phone call that our son was sick so we had to rush off. In hindsight, I wish I'd spoken up. If we'd stayed in a Travelodge, you expect noise and not the best amenities. But not in somewhere that is advertised as being luxurious.

As many have said, it is a very grand hotel but it really does need updating and a bit of TLC put back into it. Parking is chargeable which is shocking considering the price of the rooms, should be included. The rooms themselves albeit dated do the job and the bed was nice and comfy, but the room was so stuffy! Unable to open windows and the aircon switched to ‘heat’ resulted in a very uncomfortable night, even when we had a fan. The receptionist just shrugged this off in the morning, saying ‘they are automatically changed to heat’ and ‘we should have asked for a fan’ (which we had, and the noise of it only contributed to the bad sleep!). Not what you’d expect for a hotel which charges so much! We really enjoyed the spa treatments and facilities, indoor and outdoor pools, and couldn’t fault the spa staff either. Yes there are a few tiles missing here and there but otherwise it’s well kept and felt clean and COVID safe - as did the rest of the hotel may I add. The quality of the food I wouldn’t say was of ‘AA rosette’ standard or ‘award winning’ other than the prices. We’d booked a package that specifically stated a ‘two course dinner’, instead of a package ‘with a contribution towards dinner’, but as we sat down we were told it was a £30pp contribution, which barely covered the main meals! Thankfully both the restaurant manager and the night receptionist were very understanding and said the manager would settle it in the morning. Nevertheless this did put a bit of a downer on what was supposed to be a relaxed birthday meal. That aside, couldn’t fault the restaurant manager and his assistants, all were very personable and attentive, and they also arranged a birthday dessert for me which was really sweet of them, thank you to the chap who brought it up to our room, really made my birthday! Granted the hotel settled our dinner bill, but we felt we couldn’t enjoy dinner as much as we’d have liked as we didn’t know if we’d be charged for something we’d already paid for, or not, in the morning. We were told two other parties had this problem the day before, so it was a shame the hotel acted none the wiser to it, and tried to only offer us the £30pp contribution. When we pointed out in the morning that the same package, and others that they ‘don’t offer’, were still on sale, it again was just shrugged off. There didn’t seem to be any urgency of doing anything about it, so goodness knows how many more people will have/had the same issue! Overall we’d have expected better hospitality than received considering the circumstances (would have thought they’d want to deliver 10/10 service for the guests they are getting through the door - I again repeat, hats off to the restaurant manager), and the hotel itself was COVID secure with plenty of sanitiser and clear procedures in place. Just a shame about the heat in the room and ridiculous parking costs, no matter how clear they make it.

Advantages: Leaving the lively city center, just living on the first floor, the beautiful garden outside the window, has a really relaxing time. The room is large and the facilities are old but complete with a vintage feel. The breakfast bagel is a big highlight, and the standard breakfast is comparable to other UK hotels, which is amazingly delicious. The service staff is also very warm and friendly, but also very humorous, all kinds of jokes with me. Disadvantages: My so-called big bed is made up of two single beds, one can't sleep in the middle.

We regularly stay in Bath however; this is our first stay at the Queensbury. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. We stayed in the large Room 4 which exceeded our expectations. The bed is so comfy and enormous too with beautiful crisp sheets. The room is freshly decorated, spotlessly clean and a pleasure to spend time in, as I get cabin fever very quickly in some hotels. Then, there is the bathroom which is a whole new bathing experience. Again, modern, luxurious and meticulously clean. Dinner in the Olive Tree was outstanding supporting the Michelin Star it holds, with a great wine list. Lawrence runs an outstanding hotel is supported an amazing team, who have created a tight family team environment, offering a ‘can do’ approach to the customers. We will definitely be back to stay! My wife and I stayed here with friends in September. Always casts questions when the parking is a nightmare and the carpet on the entrance steps are frayed. Our room, 121, was very small, the double bed was pushed up against the wall therefor not allowing walk round. There was a small balcony which served this room and the adjacent room. It was very disappointing and disgusting to find a large ash tray, full of cigarette ends, on the outdoor table, smelt awful. From here the view is lovely but beware the water wheel which works 24/7, noise ! Our bathroom was good with bath and separate shower. However I went into the shower and could not adjust the temperature, it was red hot, scalding. I had to phone reception and a gentleman came and with great strength managed to turn it off. He said it had only just been installed and he would get the plumber to come and sort it. No one came so we had to use the shower over the bath. Breakfast ok but could do with more variety of cereal , yogurt etc. Other hotel seems to be run by Easter European gentlemen, going on their accents. We only saw one female and she seemed to be a cleaner. This hotel is overpriced, needs a update, a larger car park and a woman’s touch .

The location is good, too close to the train station, less than 5 minutes walk, right on the main street. The landlord guy is very handsome. The room we stayed in was better, with two beds, the room would be a bit smaller, but there was a wash basin in the room, and the bathroom was public, but it was relatively clean. It is close to the main street, but the windows have two floors, and the sound insulation is better, and the curtains are good for shading. Breakfast is included, and the boss can also fry eggs, bacon, and sausages, which is also free. It's very close to the city, and it's very convenient to walk to all the attractions. After all, Bath is not big. In peak season, housing prices are high, except for slightly higher prices.

We have just got back from a 3 night last minute break in Bath. We booked this hotel fairly last minute based upon the reviews (the price was also not bad at all). We were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived the concierge staff Ian in particular couldn’t be more helpful with finding a parking space, getting checked in and up to our room. The room was beautiful with little touches like fresh milk in the fridge and a Nespresso machine really make for a for a comfortable stay. The communal areas and the bar and the Elder restaurant are all amazing too. The breakfast was delicious. The staff really make this hotel, always service with a smile (you can tell behind the masks), can’t do enough to help you and so welcoming and friendly. It is already the best in the hotel in the itinerary, maybe in Bath, the price is moderate, the room is a bit larger than the London, but it still can’t compare with the domestic ones. Note that there is no microwave, it is not convenient to go to the supermarket to buy cooked food It is very close to the surrounding attractions, basically you can walk around, there is a big supermarket within a 10-minute walk, but it closes at 10 in the evening, and the transportation is convenient. Best prices found on own website. We stayed for just one night as we were watching midge ure in town. We were greeted by a friendly lady should have got her name sorry and she showed us around explained all then showed us to are room. Had a great night sleep and breakfast which had a great selection. Serving staff were helpful and friendly. I couldn't believe it was cheeper than than travelodge holiday inn etc as it was 10 times better. Definitely stay again. The only issue was parking but if you can't park on site they will give you a parking permit.

After spending quite a few days touring around the South Coast, we headed back up the Country on our Homeward bound journey and decided to take a break in the City of Bath. Looking Online at various places to take an overnight stay in the City, It was then I took particular notice to The Windsor Townhouse and booked a One Night Stay. From the moment we arrived and rang the Doorbell ,we were given a very warm welcome by the Host. We were given a Complimentary Upgrade on to a Lower Level, due to my other half ,s mobility. The Rooms are spotlessly clean and Spacious ,and the Hotel is very Compliant to all Covid Regulations. Katerina the Host, really made us welcome ,and even recommended both an Italian and French Restaurant to try within walking distance of the Hotel. We decided to try the Italian Restaurant and were not to be disappointed. She also told us about the Gorgeous Lemon Drizzle Cake which she had available as an Afternoon refreshment along with a Cup of Tea or Coffee .Sadly we missed out on this because of the length of time we spent looking around one of the well known attractions, again another Recommendation by the Host. Ideally located within walking distance of all Attractions, Restaurants ,and Bars this is a Great Choice. Another plus was the Constant supply of Hot running Water ,and the most Comfortable 4 Poster Bed we have ever had the chance to sleep in. If travelling by Car you are given an On Street Parking Permit for use nearby until your departure ( which is chargeable ) if not booking direct. The Breakfast was also amazing with Fruit and Cereals, Toast and Croissants, along with Tea or Coffee and a choice of Breakfast Options. I decided on the Kippers and Scrambled Eggs ( another recommendation by the Host ) and I was more than satisfied with the Choice, having never tried them for Breakfast before. What more can I say other than if you are looking for a Central, Comfortable Stay, with the most Friendly, Helpful Host possible, with a Good Nights Sleep and Breakfast guaranteed, look no further than staying at the Windsor, if at all in the City of Bath. Thanks to Katerina and all for a most Comfortable , Friendly Stay at your Lovely Hotel Townhouse, along with the helpful Recommendations. We will come back. Well Worth a Visit.

What a first class hotel ! We had an amazing time at The Roseate Villa Hotel. We stayed 2 nights (after the 2nd lockdown) and we were made to feel very welcome and very special, especially in a difficult time. We asked for a quiet room and we were given room number 21, a large room on the top floor, with a lovely high ceiling and large bed. Great views over the park. We were offered complimentary tea and coffee on arrival, a lovely gesture that sets them aside from other hotels. It is in a great location, a short walk from the City Centre. We were able to park for free in the hotel car park, which was great. There is parking on the road outside but maximum of 3 hours, with no return and we did see parking tickets. Breakfast, as others have already said, was the best breakfast we've ever had in any hotel. You make your choice the day before and book the time you'd like to eat. Freshly cooked blueberry pancakes with berry compote and yoghurt, fresh orange juice and a pot of tea. You can have a full English, toast, porridge, fresh fruit etc, so something for everyone. Very clean, immaculate rooms, newly decorated and up to date. Thoroughly recommend staying there, we'll be back for sure !

Bath City Center

Had the most wonderful stay/experience at the Grosvenor Villa. When we arrived Richard greeted us and told us the history of the building and the surrounding area he is very knowledgeable! The house itself is full of antiques, artwork and interesting sculptures, our room was up three flights of stairs and was very grand indeed, comfortable big four poster bed, beautiful view of the hills out the window.. the room was nicely laid out spacious and lovely and clean, we had a separate shower room which wasn't a issue as it was ours for the whole stay. The walk in to town down the canal path is fantastic, the house itself is about a half hour stroll away from the abbey. Richard was always friendly and approachable and always had a interesting story to tell! I love antiques and so does my wife, so when we had breakfast we were greeted by a dining room full of treasures. Breakfast is just a continental so don't expect a fry up if you like that type of thing, I enjoyed the croissant and choice of cereal and pastries.. Every little detail was perfect.. and most importantly clean. Hats off to Richard and the team... Would recommend and definitely stay there again!

We stayed at Bathen House for an October half term getaway. My partner and I thought the hotel was just amazing. Our room (the Deluxe King) was more beautiful than we expected; it was modern, classy, the bathroom was just outstanding and the complimentary snacks / Netflix offer was fab! The hotel staff (big shout out to Francesca) were always so friendly and welcoming. We got engaged at the the hotel and the effort Francesca went into organising our room made it extra special, so a big big thank you. We have a wonderful memory to treasure. The hotel was around an 8-10 minute taxi ride into Bath City Centre (the taxi company the hotel give you have an app you can use so it made it really easy to pre-book and use cashless payments). We also used the bus once which stopped right outside the hotel (around £4 for a return trip to Bath City Centre). Tip; choose to have the breakfast - the Traditional Breakfast OR the Waffles with Nutella and Banana were to die for! We can’t wait to be back! X

We stayed at the Tyndall Villa for one nice as we were meeting friends in Bath. I booked the garden room, which was ground floor and a view over the small garden. I had expected direct access to the garden, but that wasn't the case. The room was very well appointed and cleaned to a high standard. The hotel checkin was supposed to be before 5pm, which was ok for us, but seemed to be a bit early if you were a business traveller. There is a key safe on the wall outside with the room key within. We never received notification that this was the way to access the building and luckily our friends did as there is no reception and the hotel is unmanned. Breakfast was served and the choice and quality good. About 10-15 mins walk into town so good for tourists. There is also ample free parking at the front. The price on the day we stayed was quite high, being slightly more expensive than the Hilton/Doubletree in the town centre.

Taking my mother to Bath to book this hotel apartment. The location is good, 5 minutes walk from the train station, and even closer to the city center. The center of Bath is very small and can be walked on foot. The home is fully equipped and the guidebook in the kitchen perfectly explains how to operate. Bathroom toiletries are L'Occitane. The front desk service is very welcoming and any questions will be answered enthusiastically. There is an elevator, although the elevator is a bit slow ~ The overall experience is very good, if you still have the opportunity to come to Bath, you will choose this apartment again!

The thing I love about a premier inn is when booking you do not have to worry about standards of cleanliness. Our room was exactly as expected clean, fresh, comfy with fluffy bathroom towels and tea making facilities. Excellent value for money, friendly staff and fab city centre location. Covid precautions in place. We look forward to coming back :)

We had a really comfortable one-night stay when visiting the Bath Christmas Market. Chris was very welcoming and very well informed when it came to advising us on the local area. It's a 20-minute downhill walk to Bath city centre, so uphill on the way back, but there are plentiful buses which drop you pretty much at the door of the B&B. Lots of nice personal touches, a delicious breakfast, and – joy of joys! – free on-street parking very close by. I was a bit concerned that it might be noisy – we had a ground floor room at the front, and the B&B is on the main road to Wells, but the double glazing worked a treat.
