I'll start off with the two problems I had at Daiwa. First, there were a couple of items left lying on the floor of the room when I first entered. Nothing really disturbing but still not what you expect to find when you arrive. Second, the hotel could not provide an adapter for the plug of my laptop cord so I had to go out and buy one. In my experience, most hotels of Daiwa's rating in Japan can provide loaners of this kind of item. Now for the good news, the location was very good with easy access to Shinjuku station. In addition, there were many restaurants and bars in the vicinity so finding places to go for lunch, dinner and entertainment was no problem. Finally, I have to highly recommend the hotel dining room breakfast. Possibly the best breakfast buffet I've ever had.

Comfortable. The view from my room wasn’t great. Blocked by other buildings. Windows do not open for obvious reasons. Bathroom was spotless. New carpeting is suggested.

The location of the hotel is good. It is just a few minutes walk from the Tokyo Metro Nishi-Shinjuku Station; it is also better than coming out of Shinjuku Station. After all, many people walk in the station when they first arrive in Shinjuku. The front desk staff is very good and English is also good. All the questions we ask can be solved one by one. The hotel room is as small as you can imagine. There is no way around this, the heart of Tokyo! I stayed at the hotel for two nights, and ate the hotel breakfast on the last morning. There was not much food choice. It was a traditional western-style buffet breakfast. The ingredients are good and enough. Finally, I bought several souvenirs for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics at the hotel and it was a good gift to go back.

We missed the 320pm airport limousine bus bound for Hyatt Regency and we did not want to wait for another hour so we took the 340pm airport limousine bus bound for Washington Hotel. We walked from Washington to Hyatt Regency and it was raining a bit, it was a short distance around 800 meters. Before we reached Hyatt Regency, the bell hop approached us and helped us with our luggages and gave us umbrellas. The check in process was fast and friendly. I was surprised that the concierge guy who brought our luggages to our room told us that they do not accept tips.

Exceptional value for money. Spotlessly clean hotel with a nice sized room by tokyo standards. Room had a lot of extras ideal for a trip from overseas. Room was cleaned every day even though i missed the cleaning time and still returned to the room cleaned. If you opt to not have your bed clothes cleaned on a certain day they leave a complementary bottle of water. Stayed in a single room. Perfect size. A bath is a nice touch after a long day walking. TV has no English channels though. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is also available at 2k yen over night. Slept soundly every night. Couldn't hear any room noise even though the hotel is off a major road. 24hr McDonalds across the road if your badly stuck for western food. many 7/11s within a short walk. 5 min walk to shinjuku station. Would stay again for sure.

About a 20 minute walk from Shinjuku station and just down the road from another subway stop (can’t recall which one), we had three rooms for two nights at a rate of around £110 per room per night. Nothing wrong with the hotel. Small rooms but that is standard for Tokyo as I understand it. It’s basically a business hotel (and I have previously stayed in the brand on business) and designed to be ‘long stay’. They pack a lot into a small space and room had a (clothes) washing machine (and you are given detergent upon check-in), microwave, kettle and fridge. Comfortable bed, working wifi, decent shower, etc. There was a coffee machine in the lobby which provided drinkable coffee. Breakfast was included in our rate and fairly basic but staff kept everything topped up and, if it was empty, were happy to top up things upon request. There were a few western options including scrambled egg and bread. I’m not sure why this hotel has had so many negative reviews. We found the staff friendly and had reasonable English, were happy with the location and the facilities in the area (there is a MacDonalds next door, a convenience store across the road and several local restaurants within a couple of minutes walk! When we researched it, it seemed reasonable value and we were happy.

We chose to spend our last two nights in Tokyo in luxury & Keio Plaza Premier Grand did not disappoint. It’s a very big hotel & we arrived early however we went to level 45 reception and they sat us in their lounge to help ourselves to drinks while they checked us in. Rooms are not ready till 2pm so they held our bags, offered free umbrellas while we walked around the Shinjuku area. Lots of eateries and shops nearby. Once in our rooms we enjoyed the city views. The rooms are large, modern and the best toilet you will ever experience. Beautiful L’Occitane amenities. At 5pm we wanted to experience the SkyLounge for a cocktail on level 45 however it was very packed and we were to go on a waiting list. Forget it. We have access to the Premier lounge opposite so enjoyed the delicious nibbles on offer and free drinks including sake, wine & beer. The night view from there is magnificent & opposite the Metropolitan building that lights up at night. Free wifi, great little grocery/gift store on ground floor. Lots of restaurants to choose from although a short walk from the hotel has lots of places to eat. Being Premier guests we enjoyed the upstairs lounge for a small meal which was enough for us. Breakfast is included. First morning we went to the Lounge on 45. Usual eggs bacon fruit toast etc. The next morning we chose the Japanese restaurant for breakfast downstairs. OMG. A full Japanese breakfast including cod, miso soup, rice. It was sensational. Definitely recommend this option. Staff were friendly. Service was excellent. Yes expensive but worth it for the experience & to end our holiday in style. We would come here again.

If you loves omakase breakfast at Toyosu market, shopping at Venus Fort, Diver City, Aqua City, visiting the TeamLab Borderless and TeamLab Planets, and hot-spring at Ooedo Onsen, that's the perfect location. Even gives you quick access to Disney resort and Haneda Airport! Small rooms as usual but the one with twin double beds is excellent for parents with two young children. The only downside is no car-rental nearby.

this hotel is always my favourite. the location is very convenient for shopping, for food & for transport. However, it took me over 45minutes to check in hotel because they couldn't find my booking although I provided the's confirmation number but I had no hotel confirmation number. Owing to the super typhoon which I must stay in the hotel, the hotel staff provided quality services & very good food. Overall, I enjoyed the stay.

Check in was a breeze, efficient and high tech. Godzilla head is an interesting feature of the hotel (esp. for fans), and location is great, right in the middle of the happening area. room size is good, can even be bigger if the toilet is joined with the bathing area. can bring the 2 single beds together to form a large bed.

Suidobashi/Tokyo Dome
Their service is nothing short of excellent. They have staff who are fluent in English (and other languages as well, I suspect). Me and my friend came thinking that we would be staying in a Single Room with Extra Bed since that was what we booked as we attempted to be more economic. However, to our pleasant surprise, our room was upgraded to a much much bigger room for free. We are very thankful to the helpful staff for making our stay pleasant and extremely comfortable. The location is great as it in located somewhere in between Iidabashi and Suidobashi which is pretty much close to the geographical center of Tokyo. Head east you will be able to visit Akihabara and Asakusa quick. Head west, you will be able to hit Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya. The neighbourhood is fairly quiet and the Tokyo Dome is just a 10-15 minute stroll away. If I am coming back to visit Japan, this hotel will be a clear top choice for me. Haven't had the opportunity to have the breakfast at this hotel, but I will certainly try it out on my next stay here.

Good hotel. Location is great and convenient, pretty much inside Sunshine city mall. There’s also a 24/7 family mart as well. Didn’t encounter any elevator problems in regards to having to wait long queue times.
