|9.87km from city centerWe booked very last minute, 48 hours before we arrived. The location suited us as we knew the area very well. We stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis, we only had breakfast twice, however it was good, a good selection of hot and cold items, pastries and fruits too. The room was more than adequate for us for 7 days, and I am known to be fussy. Double vanity area in bathroom was really useful, it had everything we needed. Towels changed daily/when needed, same as sheets. Housekeeping were very good and the balcony was a good size with nice furniture. Pool area was fine, but we were early in the month so can imagine it gets busy. Bar serves on weekends only, again that may be a late April early May thing. Staff are all friendly too. Parking is 15€ a day but there was plenty of free on road parking in the area, so we didn't pay once. You can walk to a few places, including a supermarket, restaurant and bar but would suggest a car to explore the area and there are so many nice bars and restaurants within 5 min drive. Would recommend and return.

|3.91km from city centerThe hotel is very comfortable and the terrace is very comfortable and the air conditioning is very well equipped. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. The bad pool helper does not do all his work except being at the phone s is allowed to throw our towels on the ground. The pools are top but only 5 transactions around the pool very few screen places the customers were put on the walks around the pool so we stopped going there. Host staff who were allowed to call us at 16:00 on a very high air when we returned it was 15:00 she refused to tell us what was the object of the ”convocation” And that he had to wait for his manager who was not available before 16:00 those to whom I answered that there was no question of returning in an hour that I had something else to do and that they didn't have any interest in calling me again. brev c was quite strange If not for the rest the place was very pleasant but a car is needed to move the parking places along the residence is limited the hotel offers a parking paying to 8 euros per day hello the manner for and access ...

|0.74km from city centerI was looking for a cheap basic hotel as near as possible to the centre of Estepona, and the Hotel Mediterraneo far exceeded my expectations. For a 1* hotel it was surprisingly nice inside, and appeared to have been recently decorated. The location is perfect, directly on the beachfront, just a few minutes walk from the beautiful old town centre, a large number of bars and restaurants, supermarkets and shops. The harbour is around 2km away, 25 minutes walk along the coast. The hotel has a 24 hour reception, which was welcome, and made the hotel feel safe and secure. The front door is locked at night, so you need to ring the doorbell to gain access if you return late, but this is not an issue as there is always a member of staff at the reception. All of the staff I encountered during my stay were very friendly and helpful - after check-out I was not due to travel home until late in the evening, and the staff let me leave my suitcase at reception during the day. A lift services all floors. My room was of a reasonable size, and despite booking a single room got a full double room, on the top (5th) floor of the hotel. The room had a powerful air conditioning system with a working thermostat that included a timer function, so the room was always a pleasant temperature. There was no safe available in the room for valuables. There was no fridge/minibar, but the reception area had vending machines offering drinks and snacks. Otherwise, the central location means there are supermarkets and shops nearby. The bathroom was spacious and included a walk-in shower, with an overhead 'rainfall' style shower, as well as a detachable handheld showerhead. Shower soap and hand soap were provided. I think the drain was slightly clogged, as the water did drain quite slowly, but not slowly enough to cause any issues. The room was clean and tidy, and was cleaned daily by the housekeepers whilst I was out. Considering it is a 1* hotel, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel, and would not hesitate to stay here again. Amazing value for money and one to consider for cheap but high quality accommodation.

|12.89km from city centerWinter stay, solo break from teenagers! Positive review - a solid 3 * hotel (it’s really not 4* just to manage expectation) pleasant and clean. I felt safe and relaxed. Other reviews mention food not being warm and I would avoid the hot food that’s been sat on hot plate - i would stick with either the freshly BBQ meat/fish (ask to wait for a fresh piece at the grill) or the fresh fruits, salads and breads. Fresh water is available from water machine so you don’t have to pay when in restaurant. There are lovely walks through streets of gorgeous villas and shopping centres (I walked up to Nabua Thai - amazing massage, highly recommend) There is an Aldi just up the street and I bought 8L drum of water and lunch time snacks from here (I was half board) The beach is in winter condition (plastic, rubbish etc, think of your garden in Uk winter) but was still lovely to walk along. I just missed the hot weather but I would have been very happy sat by the pool; beautiful and clean and comfy loungers. Lots of areas being renovated for summer but that didn’t impact me in any way. Lovely, nice value holiday, thank you.

|2.55km from city centerMy partner and I returned from our holiday yesterday, after staying at H10 Estepona Palace for 4 nights. The room was a good size with a balcony and was clean, just your standard double room so no complaints there. A few things let the place down a bit, the main one being the food. We only had bed and breakfast so can’t comment on lunch/dinner, but the breakfast buffet food was always cold. My partner had some scrambled eggs from a brand new tray that a chef put out and it was cold. Baked beans were always lukewarm at best, and although there was an omelette and fried egg station, there was only ever 1 chef available so always had to wait around for ages. The other thing was that the gym didn’t open until 10am. We wanted to make the most of the facilities and get a morning workout in, only to find that it was closed and is only open between 10am and 7pm. Finally there was no ironing facilities available either in the room or to get from reception. The only thing available was borrowing a steamer for a €10 refundable deposit, but it was pretty naff. For a 4 star hotel we were expecting to be able to borrow an iron and ironing board. As we visited late September, the temperature was around mid 20s which was lovely, however the outside pools were freezing cold to the point where it was almost unbearable. Would have liked the pool to be slightly heated! Overall we would say 3 stars, staff were friendly and the hotel was clean and quiet. Next time we would probably stay a bit closer to Marbella / Puerto Banus as there is more to do around the area.

|4.05km from city centerLoved this hotel. The price is amazing for this quality. The rooms are huge. The hotel is huge. Beachfront. Great spa. We spent an afternoon there. Three spa pools, a lounging area, haman, hot/cold showers. So fun. Tremendous value. It’s a throwback to a grand 60’s hotel in Florida. Good includes breakfast. Good coffee. Nice boardwalk.

|12.36km from city centerIt has been a wonderful stay at General! One thing I did not like, that when I arrived I had a photocopy of my credit card in front and behind. It would have been enough ahead and the truth, it is very delicate that the card numbers go around there in sight ..... Otherwise at reception, both day and afternoon the phenomenal treatment. Special attention to the people of the Bar who have always been attentive to the welfare of the client, having incredible details when one day I arrived late and did not know that the snack was closed and they provided me with dinner even after being closed. This was very much appreciated! Thank you very much to all !!

|11.89km from city centerThe hotel is badged as a 4 * but is probably nearer a 3 *, the staff are pleasant but the hotel itself is very tired. The pool tiles are coming off in large quantities, the poolside showers aren't fully working and the indoor pool and roof is in a very poor condition. The hotel itself shows signs of its former standards but that has lapsed, the food is a reasonable quality but there is a buffet only and is quite limited. The rooms are a good size and the cleaning staff are fantastic, the fixtures are quite tired although the bed was comfortable with very clean sheets, pillows etc. There is a very, VERY, prominent French company that organises activities around the hotel who play loud and (personal opinion) terrible dance music that is annoying every day. We repeatedly had to ask it to be turned down as they leave a large portable speaker poolside playing inappropriately loud and hard dance-music when they're not actually doing activities. It's location (if your room is mountain view) is good with a quiet and interesting view, it's a 15 minute, €18 taxi into Puerto Banus and there are nice restaurants a few minutes walk away but make sure that you've pre-bought a nightcap if you want one as we learned when returning one night just after 12 that we can't have any room service and all bars are closed. If Golf is your thing then be aware that whilst it's prominent on the website there is actually no golf course or any affiliation with any golf course available to the hotel. The one the hotel used to own is now privately owned and charges full non-member price which with a buggy and club hire is around €120 / person. In closing, whilst we enjoyed the holiday, the hotel is definitely in need of some TLC
