9.81km from downtownA weekend celebration went off almost perfectly at this heritage hotel with each room being uniquely designed. A warm reception and an eager team made our stay memorable. The food was above average and the overall experience was almost worthy of 5*. Two small gripes. When we shared the information of a special celebration and requested for any additional attention from the hotel, the GM disinterestedly said the options all came at a cost. Even the towel art in the room which most hotels offer gratis! Then, a large group booking meant we were given rooms not even close to our friends, this after we had booked weeks in advance. All the attention shifted to the large group and we were compelled to make some compromises, including the closing of the bar area and noise levels. But this apart, our stay was lovely and we would happily return. The hotel is also well located for accessing Udaipur city, airport and nearby attractions such as Ranakpur and Kumbhalgarh fort.

Hotels Near Jhadoly Bus Stop In Udaipur Review
i was stay with my family in this hotel last week in month of march 2018 and i feel very nice and comfortable service , good cleanses , very testy food, smooth ch. inn / ch. out and staff and ***agement are very nice i booked super deluxe room but there is availability so they were upgrade me in suite room on same price. i am very thankful to hotel elegance villa.
We stayed here for three nights and it is in a great location - so near to the town, temples and palace and overlooking the fabulous Lake Pichola! On arrival you notice the swimming pool right near to the reception - very strange place for it and it was a bit murky and didn't look at all inviting! Our room was really big and bright with lovely Rajasthan style windows with a stunning view of the lake - the best thing about staying here! There was a built-in window seat and it was so nice to just sit and admire the view. We also liked the decoration on the ceiling and walls which looked lovely. The bathroom wasn't so great, a bit mouldy and not very clean. Also there is no hot water unless you ring down to reception and ask them to switch it on for you!! We didn't realise this the first day and ended up with a cold shower. The towels and bed linen are also well past their best. Breakfast was on the roof terrace which also had the most amazing view. Unfortunately, the food didn't really match the view - the first day it was ok, the second day not so great! However, I do have to say that despite all of the above, the place had a certain charm, most of the staff were friendly and we did have a lovely time in Udaipur.
We were traveling to mumbai and we wanted to stay for rest - 12 hours during day, i was traveling with family and with expensive car and stuff inside, they provided me with indoor property parking, no bothering unnecessarily and very peaceful and quite place and yes very cheap in price also Provided me with tea at morning 0200 hrs 😁
Beauty all around, well maintained, courteous staff and the most commendable thing is they will help you in best possible ways as we were travelling with our 4months baby and it was an unplanned trip there .rooms were fab and so was the cleanliness.food was awesome too.ananta has created a benchmark for all the other resort we will be travelling in future.
I was to visit Udaipur after almost 20 years and that too now with family. I was worried about our vegetarian food, comfortable stay with hygiene a prime importance and service without show-offs like in starred Hotels. Our private tour operator suggested a Hotel Named Hotel Suraj Palace. I tried to find the reviews about this hotel on trip advisor and found ***y of them were not digesting to me. I still kept my search for few weeks. Later it happened to speak with the owner of the Hotel Suraj Palace and don’t know why, but it made me feel comfortable to stay at his hotel. I decide to stay with my family at Hotel Suraj Palace during our Udaipur tour and it turned out to be one of the memorable stay. Staff of the hotel is very good and has no hypocrisy or tip oriented attitude. They served us like we feel at home. A staff Bhagwanbhai was very much care taking. Most important part was the food. Breakfast use to be excellent, but dinner was above that too. We use to make our request of Rajasthani food and they were all so kind that they were getting us our desired Rajasthani choices with delicious taste. One of the other fun we had was the fresh juice on a cart that was available from 5 AM on road opposite to the hotel. We enjoyed verities of fresh juices very well. AC and Hot water availability were problems during our stay. Though we had to leave for tour at 9 AM, we had to take the shower early morning to get the hot water! For a simple, but comfortable stay we prefer to stay with such Hotel like Suraj Palace.
We went to restaurant for dinner it was unique and awesome ambition, with excellent Hospitality of service, ***ager and chef also come and ask for feedback they serve best to us.Keep it up we will come back.
Nice property ***** with very polite staff and very responsive at instant like one of the staff member name was Avinash Kumar and likely all perfect for in this type of scenarios but everything is safe and fine here in premises.
Tge best budget hotel in the city. Its a grt hotel located near railway nd bus station . The staff was amazing. They always there for help. Food was good bt chach spoils all the taste. Room was good nd i love to come again . Bs achaaa sa discount de dena .😉😉
We stayed there for a friend's bachelorette. The staff was really kind and helpful. They even helped us in arranging the decorations at such a short notice. The view of restaurant is breathtaking. Breakfast is also really tasty. Do try poha when you visit there.
The main issue at the moment is that half the hotel is under construction, so there is generally noise happening throughout the day. I think the end works at 5pm. Personally, I would recommend staying elsewhere until the works are complete. It's too hard to know whether you will get peace and quiet otherwise. Or at least make sure you ask the hotel before your stay. I actually had this accommodation booked by a tour guide and only did a quick google check before agreeing. My mistake. The other part of my review relates more to service and cleanliness however, given the hotel is only 2.5 stars, the service I received was probably in line with that. Essentially, you have to ask for everything or you won't get it. I asked for clean sheets and clean towels. Apparently you also need to drop your key at the front desk for your room to be cleaned. I didn't know this (it wasn't advised at check in or written anywhere) but I also didn't ask as by that stage, I was pretty tired of asking for things! I did try using the phone in my room once to ask for something, but first I couldn't get a dial tone and when I eventually did Noone picked up. But I'm sure if I had asked in person when someone was available, they would have cleaned it.m I spoke with the owner at the end of my stay and raised the above issues, which he listened to. I tend to think even in 2.5 stars, that hotel staff can try and ask if there is anything you need rather than it being the responsibility of the guest but maybe that's idealistic. If the hotel happens to read this, one thing I did suggest that would really help solo travellers like me is just a one page welcome info sheet in the room with information about getting your room cleaned, hot water switches, transport, etc. A map would be great too. Pretty easy and simple thing. Perhaps they cater more for other types of visitors which is fine but each guest has value to a business. For the reader, I'm unsure what nightly rate I paid as I booked through an agent (as mentioned) however, when I did a search on Google the rate varied between $50-$100 AUD during the busy period which is quite high for 2.5 star.
The swimming pool on the roof is amazing
Nice view, you can see the palace, sunset and lake
Breakfast is good and tastes good
Stay here next time
I had to visit Udaipur on an urgent task with my business partner and chose to travel by road from Delhi due to COVID-19. Since our client team was also staying at Raghu Mahal, we chose this hotel with a twin-bed room. Although the room size was quite small with only one table for working, a pretty discount made a nice deal for us. The housekeeping and other room service was a little slow, than we are used to, probably because lesser staffing due to COVID-19. Unlike other hotels across India, this Hotel arranged the buffet breakfast in Dining Hall itself as usual which was comfortable for us as compared to In-Room Dining. With acceptable hygiene, the early 7 AM breakfast was nice and filled us well in time for a long working day. Udaipur is a very small city still this Hotel was conveniently located towards our place of business so we did not have to cross the entire city morning traffic. Overall, I also liked the boutique feel of the Hotel unlike one of those chain-franchisee hotels.
True scene hotel Ram Nivas exceeds my expectation, this is a budget hotel with luxury facility. Wonderful location on highway and have a hill view. The hotel very clean all over, clean floor, rooms, beds, toilet, towels, bed sheets, everything. Room and bathrooms are specious enough and have LED TV AC and hot water facility too. Above all there was a separate dressing place, and an extra single bed for baby, what our little daughter like the most. I had booked one deluxe AC room for two days via bookingdotcom, we reached the hotel at around 12pm, and all are tired in a long drive, they allotted the room immediately after checking identity proof, we took some rest and then call restaurant by intercom for lunch, but they ask to come down in dining hall as they serve only tea and breakfast in room, my family was too tired so I requested ***ager in intercom, he agreed and we had our lunch in room, when we went out for local sight seen the ***ager actually make our schedule to cover maximum spots in two days, for 1st day we take an auto at aprice of 600Rs, ( arrange by the hotel) and we visit city palace, Chetak smarak and museum, lake pichola, lake fateh sagar, sahelyon ki bari, ***soom mahal from a distance. That auto was a great relief for us, as some places roods are too narrow, crowded and less availability of parking spaces. At night we had our dinner in the ramnivas dining hall, food was too tasty, Next day early morning we went for eklingji, nathdwara, haldighati and kumbhalgarh. We came back at night, take tasty dinar, had a comfortable slip, and next day early morning left hotel for Ahmedabad. Few bad experience, parking place is on 1st floor, on top of restaurant, and there is a stiff slide, not easier to park the car, in our 1st room water drop from ac, so they allot another room, that was even bigger one, but there was unnecessary shifting delay.
The perfect homely atmosphere. Too good staff, very good food, perfect location affordable rates. other things just overtake this shortcoming. All the important places are just walking distance away. You live in the city. Every room has a different furniture lovely interior. and the person at the desk really helpful in my local sightseen with drow hand map.
definitely, I will come again with family and recommended to all.
Our 1 night stat at Hotel Shalimar Palace was good in terms of the price we got and overall stay. Check-in was smoother. Prompt room service. Rooms & bathroom were clean. Deluxe rooms are enough spacious. Food quality is good. Only Veg food (with Egg option). Good amenities. Parking facility is 1 to 2 min walk away from the hotel. Hotel location is good in terms of nearby restaurants, bus stand and market. Offering mini bar in the room would add ice on the cacke. Always carry cash. Because the hotel doesn't encourage or advise to pay by card. They charge 5% charge as txn charge.
I am just back from udaipur and it was a excellent trip. After this long lockdown it was my first trip with family to relax. I stayed in Padmini Palace for three nights four days. It was an amazing stay. The hotel was cleanically clean and the ***agement was following all safety measures for the safety of guests and kept it a 200% safe hotel for stay in Udaipur. I went to this property as a relative gave a very positive feedback- they stayed here in Dec. last year. The property is centrally located so you are in close proximity to all sight seeing points. The rooms are clean and have everything what a Good hotel room should have. The staff was extremely warm and ensured our comfortable stay. They have a roof top restaurant which is operational from morning to night. The food is delicious and their tea is worth dying for.. I personally loved it. The hotel stands tall and comfortable ready to host tourists & corporates from around the world. I myself keep traveling a lot and after this lockdown it was my first trip to relax my mind and body, so with my long experience I give this property a five star thumbs up. Happy Safe Traveling Everyone.
Excellent and luxurious place. We had our 2 year old kid, hence, we were very particular while choosing the hotel in Udaipur. Ambay Villa was more than what was expected. Excellent hospitality, luxurious room at a reasonable rate. We were also allowed to use their kitchen for preparing food for our kid. Special thanks to Rajendra Singh Chudawat for the hospitality and also planning the Udaipur sight seeing. Though you may need to travel ~4 kms for the famous places like Pichola and City palace, but it doesn't take more than 10 mins and the place is definitely worth the travel. Hope they will continue the same hospitality.
I stayed here for one night. They’ve beautiful rooms with lake view. Almost all the rooms have lake view. Food was also good. Only downside is that they have no lift and we stayed on the top most floor. So we had to climb too ***y floors with luggage. Their terrace has rooftop seating area. We had breakfast they’re enjoying the view. We loved our stay here! That too at a cheap price!
The location of the property is next to the city centre. right in the tourist heart of Udaipur. The place is easily accessible with variety of options for good food, tourism, public transport. The staff ws courteous and ensured the stay was overall good. Having visited Udaipur on several occasions earlier, this property was a good find and I'll hopefully stay here in the future as well. The only and a big negative was - not so clean linen. Asking the cleaning staff for cleaner bedsheets didn't help.
Cannot speak highly enough of the staff here. Nothing but positive feedback. We got a complimentary room upgrade right off the bat. Partho and Shivam were absolutely lovely and looked after us beautifully at the rooftop bar. Shivam even helped me out at breakfast the next day by customising a drink for me to help with a slightly upset tummy. Finally the duty ***ager, Mr. Laal organised an excellent dinner for us at the luxurious and beautiful Jag ***dir Island Palace restaurant. Highly highly recommend this place and it's fantastic staff. Thank you team for a most pleasant experience.
Hello friends, We were a group of 5 families on a trip to Udaipur and Mt.Abu. In Udaipur, we stayed at Balbir Niwas, from 29th December'2018 to 1st January'2019. A bungalow of 5 bed rooms, a big dining room and a fully equipped & functional kitchen, Balbir Niwas is a small paradise especially for families and groups. The facility is operated by brothers Jaspreet singh ji and Harpreet singh ji. Right from Check-in to our Check-out, every service was impeccable and praiseworthy. The owners are very cordial and ever helpful. The caretaker Rooplal was always smilimg and eager to serve 24 x 7. The bathrooms were very neat, clean and equipped with modern facilities and provisions like shaving kits, dental kits, toiletries, new & fresh Towels were in every toilet. Each room was provided with a heater to make it warm inside, when the weather was very cold. The rooms furniture is nicely done with wardrobes, dressing table, TV, etc. The owners also arranged for a bonfire and sitting arrangements for us in the garden area and surprised us with an eggless cake on the New Year Eve and made our celebrations special. All in All, our stay at Balbir Niwas was very special and memorable and we would recommend everyone to stay there when in Udaipur. Thank you Jaspreet ji & Harpreet ji for making our stay special.
I think it's a very good hotel if you just divide it. There were some good shops around. The food is fine. The service is kind.
I owe to Mr. and Mrs. Singh for their great hospitality , that took care of every necessary details for the 2 nights I stayed at Sun Heritage with my family. The entire house is royally maintained with a touch of culture and taste that money cannot buy. Specially the decor and coziness of the room will stay in memory for long. The city palace is in walking distance and the railway station is also not far, which makes the property even more special. You also get a safe in house car park, which you may need if you're travelling by car . Most importantly, it's their own heritage house that the hosts have given entirely for the guests to stay. What more one may look for? Oh yes, WiFi works well, don't worry.
Ideally situated near the lake, this is a small hotel with 2 buildings, the older one which has a few rooms and the reception and roof top breakfast area and a newer one connected through a small garden area, which has more rooms. There are no lifts in either building. The rooms are neat and clean and are reasonably good sized. I would recommend that they put in shower curtains in the bathroom to avoid the whole bathroom getting wet when taking a shower. While the breakfast is limited to a few items, the staff are very friendly and willing to do their best for any requests. The Palace is a short walk across a pedestrian bridge and the hotel staff can also arrange the boat pick up from the jetty close to the hotel. There is limited parking near the hotel, access is through narrow lanes, through which only one vehicle at a time can pass, travelling in a big car requires good driving skills and a lot of patience, as there is a lot of 2 wheeler traffic, although the local residents will help to direct the traffic. It might be better not to take the vehicle out during the peak morning and evening hours.
We really enjoyed our stay at gajkaran haveli. We had been having a bit of bad luck with accommodation before this so it was a real treat when we arrived. The staff are fantastic. We arrived very early in the morning and we were able to sit in the hotel and wait for our room. They did their best to get the room ready as early as they could so we could rest after our long over night bus. The main host, I can’t remember his name (sorry!) was very polite, accommodating, helpful and cheerful. He explained everything we could do in Udaipur during our stay. He was very attentive but not overbearing at all. And gave us good restaurant recommendations (Rainbow was a winner). We were in the budget room, which was great for what we needed. The shower was hot and good pressure. The bed was comfortable, and it was very quiet. There was no window in our room (which is what I’m supposing makes it budget) which was no bother for us as the rooftop provided lovely views of the lake and palace (and we are budget travelers!). I got a peek into the lake facing rooms with big windows and they looked amazing - if you really want a nice view it’s probably worth the extra money. Breakfast is good. The Indian breakfast is especially tasty. We didn’t eat any other meals at the restaurant as it didn’t seem open, however room service is available. The only downside was the WiFi was very unreliable and often very slow. And our 4g didn’t work in the room. But all the more to go out and explore ! As a suggestion - more could be done with the roof top. Perhaps some comfy, cushioned seating. When we checked out we weren’t leaving until 8pm. It would have been nice to have a comfy seat to lounge on (but that’s being very picky !). Thanks for being a great host in Udaipur - it made our time there extra special.
I stayed with my family for 3 days . The location is best in Udaipur. The view from the room is great . The food is super delicious , must try authentic Rajasthani cusine dal bati and if you like non veg then you are at the best place in Udaipur. The rooms are clean spacious and very well maintained. The owner and staff is very cooperative.
I came to udaipur without any ideas about the city not knowing what to expect. The ***ager of the hostel Monty was more than friendly and provided me with a lot of information on udaipur and overall he was more than open to tell me about India and his culture! The room I stayed in was quite nice, any issues were fixed immediately (hot water). There was no tv, but it’s quite a new place and in a city like udaipur you don’t really need a tv; the rooftop bar/restaurant was far better than watching tv. Within the guest house there is a kitchen with daily Indian cooking classes that I enjoyed a lot!
I choose to go on a solo trip to Udaipur after much consideration to my budget and weather conditions within India. My trip was arranged through MMT had Hotel Lavitra inclusive of 4 days package. Google maps - it's hard to get by to the place as they have given wrong instructions on the map. I had kept this hotel as part of my package coz it had Fateh Sagar lake view as per description given. When I been to that place it was inside a Lane not visible to ***y people. Also it is nowhere close to Fateh Sagar lake which makes you feel cheated for the money you paid. Staff-The staff is really want to provide good customer and they were very accommodating when on the last day of my stay I asked them to keep my baggage until my flight time. Not only they took care of the baggage but extended my checkout time by hour n half. Solo tourist friendly- Obviously Udaipur has ***y tourist friendly places n hotels. But I guess it is acceptable to have solo foreigners but I felt bit weird when I asked on the checkin time If there are anymore guests around for safety concerns as there was no fans or anyone in the reception on a hot day n it gave out a closed n outdated look. The representative said It's a family place and I wondered if I come alone that's why I don't look like a family wo***.On my trip I wanted to try local cuisines not stick to Hotel menu which is by the way too costly. one of the server of the hotel followed and on the road started calling loudly hello n asking where are you going to eat food .. really weird. Amenities - The swimming pool wasn't clean however the rooms were sparkling clean and yes I loved the cozy bed. The room service team worked well. Breakfast was available till 9 I guess n once I didn't go down till 8.30 am there was a polite call from reception. Breakfast is filling and good, can't complain. Last day was hectic as it was Diwali ***y guests arrived and there was whole lot of noise starting of opening n closing bolts n cleaning Room from 5.30 am which was a nuisance. Accessibility - There are not much places to eat out neither to do sightseeing around this hotel so if you are going to be here ensure you have a mode of transportation opted in. Last but not least the fact that I was reminded of the rating while leaving later they called me at home asking to drop reviews was something I felt too much. If you provide exceptional experience people are drawn to write or go again . All in all average place generally for family or kids.
ed Tullip Mewargarh is set against the scenic backdrop and is unparalleled in its warm hospitality and exquisite service. Offering a tranquil and serene environment for rejuvenation and relaxation, the Red Tullip Mewargarh is truly in a class of its own. We stayed here during the weekends for an office trip and were delighted to choose it as our place to stay. All the rooms are clean, huge, and well maintained. The location view in the evening is delightful and picturesque. Food is sumptuous, especially the Barbeque snacks and kebabs. The staff is cooperative and friendly and they went above and beyond to make this a wonderful experience for all of us. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and a trip to remember. Would surely recommend this to everyone.
I stayed in month of August and it was Rainy weather. My stay was amazing with the view of Mountains and the hotel has good location. Service offered by the staff was out of the box. Hotel has good landscape for Parties and activities. I must recommend this hotel for the stay with Friends and Family.
