No frills stay. You book, turn up, stay, and leave. Rules are simple--be clean, be quiet, and be a good guest. It's a space shared with others. For something this kind, I'd say it smelled clean most of the time.

The service was good. Welcoming front desk. But it's a rather old hotel. The rooms have definitely been renovated but you can tell it's old. Corridors are not very well-kept although the rooms do seem clean. Can clearly hear the guest next door and anyone who talks/chat outside pretty clearly. (Guest next door was vomiting at night and we could hear it rather loudly). The place is suitable for a short stay. Amenities were all working great despite the old building. Aircon cold, heater working well. I would suggest to change some items such as the toilet paper cover which will make the room look nicer. The corridor and lift as well, make it look neater and more put together 👍

The transportation is convenient, there are many places to eat around, the beds are very comfortable, and the staff are very polite. This is my second stay but it also made me feel very disappointed 😞 I decided that I would never choose to stay at this hotel again for the following reasons. 1) Because of the experience,I have indicated that I would like a quieter room when I booked the room, but the staff at the counter still gave me a room near the road and the birds is very noisy at night , the counter said The room is full and cannot be changed. 2) I booked 2 single beds (Deluxe twin room), but the counter staff assigned was double bed room for me. When I called to the counter, they said they would find someone to come up and split the bed with me. My point is the customer has booked the room, and the hotel should be ready to give it to the customer sooner, but unfortunately they did not do this. 3) The air conditioner was broken and asked if I could replace it with an electric fan. I immediately refused, and I couldn't accept it. In the end, I was willing to change the room to me.

Booked the super queen room but it has no windows so we decided to upgrade to the loft room with balcony. I took a video so most of the photos are screenshots lol. Upon entering, the room is quite small, equipped with a mini fridge and there's a door to the balcony where smoking is allowed. Then there's a flight of stairs leading to the platform with a thick queen mattress and smart TV. It's very simple but it's comfy. The hotel is also situated at a location with many shops around, and it's just a few minutes walk to City Square Mall. Overall, we had a good stay.

Love this hotel so much, it is super nice and cozy. Comfortable bed & pillows, love the bathroom but the tv doesn't really have much options. It is not that convenient via mrt but very convenient through buses as the busstops are right outside. Staff are really friendly & check in was really fast & smooth. Will definitely come back again.

Room can be cleaner. It was dusty and there were spiders, cobwebs and ants. Housekeeping staffs attitude could be better. Housekeeping staffs are throwing/slamming their equipments after cleaning, this happens at around 7pm onwards which is a nuisance, causing so much noise.

Got a room located at 2nd floor. Not sure about the security in this hotel, but a guy keep banging the wall at level 2 after 12am.. maybe he’s drunk or smt else. Can hear what is happening outside the corridor. Not recommend for light sleeper. Mouldy smell in room. The rest is ok for one night stay.

room is tidy even though quite small. friendly staff. however there were insects in the bathroom;; maybe because I was quarantined, so the housekeepers could not enter my room to clean it. There's no fridge, which makes it a bit hard to store food for the whole 7 days. Overall it's nice when taking the affordable price into consideration.^^

I first stayed at the SEA Hotel back in 2014 as it was recommended by my aunt and uncle who always stay here when in Singapore. I love the place. It’s old and rustic (a throwback to another time) but for $100 SGD a night with a fabulous vegetarian buffet breakfast included (Kwan Im restaurant) and prime location in Bugis you couldn’t ask for anything more. Also when booking the staff are excellent in replying to queries and give very detailed information about getting to the hotel and airport transport options and nearby attractions. Free wifi was included and it was fast and reliable. The staff on the front desk were friendly especially the girl who checked me in. Bugis+ shopping mall (10 levels with cinemas, food/retail options galore and taxi rank) is less than 5 mins walk. I use this as a taxi pick up/drop off point to various attractions from the hotel. Bugis MRT Station is 5-10 mins walk and is on the airport line (10th station from the airport, with 1 change at Tanah Merah, cost only SGD 2.50) The Kwan Im Temple is right next door and worth checking out (it gets very busy with local worshippers). Directly outside is a pedestrian mall with a flurry of activity with market stalls and street vendors. The hotel is simple and rooms unadorned with only the basics but it’s all there and excellent value for money. They do request you leave your key if you go out and recollect (24 hour reception) but I conveniently forgot to do this most of the time and it was never a problem. Oh and don’t even think about bringing durians to the hotel!

Great job to all the staffs being a part of our memorable stay. It was an amazing experience. Kudos to the staff and management for making this hotel our No. 1 favourite. And wife have been pestering about our next trip here. Sure we will be back in the coming months.

Good: - It's near the train station (closer to Rochor than Little India) - there are a lot of restaurants near the area - Beds are clean - our room had its own toilet and bath so no need to share with other rooms in the hostel Bad: - the room is a bit cramped with 6 bunk beds, small area to move around. They even have 1 extra bed that would take up the entire walking area. Talk about maximizing the space. - the lockers are a bit small so if you have a big bag, it will take up the floor space, which meant even lesser area to move around - shower is a bit small, so when the water splashes to the door, water will leak out of the shower area - reception is not 24/7, I arrived there at 7am only to realize it was still closed. I had to come back at opening time (8:30am), but still waited for the receptionist to open the window at 9am. Why post the opening time as 8:30am when you are only opening it at 9am? Overall, I think the hostel is ok, if you need somewhere cheap, it's an ok option. You get what you pay for. Fyi, toiletries and towels are not included, you have to pay for it if you need one. Better bring your own. For PoGo players, there are two pokestops accessible from the hostel

Booked the single room as a quick 2N getaway for the long Vesak Day weekend. Added breakfast at the restaurant for each day. The Good: - Room was very clean. No visible stains. Standard room amenities were present. - Business nature of hotel is apparent - solid desk for work, and Wi-Fi is fast and stable. Plenty of sockets available for devices. - Breakfast at the restaurant was solid. Was a bit disappointed that the selection didn't change on the second day, though. - Location meant easy access to food at Bugis Street area. Was able to walk to Rochor station within 3 minutes. The Bad: - Mini-fridge was damaged, and blanket was missing at first. Replacements arrived after around 20 minutes from call to housekeeping. - Television was rather grainy in quality, and channel selection was limited. The Weird: - Ended up being given a wheelchair accessible room. While the room was a bit more spacious than normal, the curtained off washroom area made it feel a bit like a hospital ward. Conclusion: - Great place if you're here for a business trip, or if you want to explore the area for a day or two. You might want to consider somewhere more luxurious if you want a relax-cation for longer.

Finally checked off this pricey but lovely staycay spot ❤️ To be honest, the $700/night range made me expect a lot and I’m really glad that my experience (kind of) justified the hole in my wallet 🥹 The room was fair sized at 39SqM but super classy and quaint, with fancy copper finishings running throughout the space. Very like! 🎉 Though … I wished there was more countertop space and a chilling spot enough for 2pax. 👻 The Living Room provided a very nice respite from the relentless heat and all day refreshments worked as a lunch replacement even though it was just salted nuts for me ☀️ Evening cocktails stole the show with quality bites, fancy tea-based cocktails, and great service. We waddled out definitely heavier but confirm happier 🥂 Super happy that we experienced the same great service as my previous Far East Hospitality stays - Farez and Hafiz were stellar and part of the reason why I’m so smitten by this stay 🎖

As an Ascott group member, there are decent expectations of an Ascott experience in all the properties in which I had once stayed (Ascott, Somerset, Citadines). Citadines Rocher (recently opened in 2020) was one of my top choices in having a local staycation because of its location and price range. However, it was an overall disappointing experience, and here’s why: 1. No daily housekeeping service 2. Our bathroom door could not close. It was completely off the ledge. 3. Reception is busy all the time. Phone calls are often not answered 4. This hotel was most probably a designated hotel used for both Malaysian citizens who were unable to return home due to locked borders, as well as returning Singaporeans to serve their mandatory 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN). There were confirmed COVID-19 cases within my period of stay. We were notified by a letter from the management. The least the management could do was to provide a mask or sanitizers to guests. We also chanced upon 2 medical workers fully donned in PPE escorted a guest to the ambulance. Scary stuff. 5. We took our own trash out of the room since day 1 of check-in. It was not cleared even upon checking out. Dear Citadines Rocher, please review your services. I had absolute faith and would like to continue giving my support to Ascott despite this awful stay.

The location of this hotel is definitely not as accessible as all other hotels I went before. It is only easier if you go via car for the first time. Subsequently when you explore the area a bit more, then you can try the path via the UBS building itself. This information perhaps should be made known on the hotel's website. In terms of cleanliness, one of the cups in my room was not washed cleanly. I can see the lipstick mark of a previous user, with some coffee dripping down that lip mark. Had to manually wash it. I would have been more prepared if I brought some detergent along. In terms of service, you must know that they do not provide additional towels for you, even upon request. You can only go and exchange with what you already have. Example, if you need an extra towel to wrap your hair, it is not possible. One room, if 2 pax, they will only give u 2 towels and one floor carpet. I think this is not a good point. The cafe lodge is nicely decorated, just that food have to wait at least 30mins, even if it is a simple set. And not all food are available. But can just chitchat while waiting, or maybe next time just order in advance. The good thing is that at least there is no insect in the room and bed sheets are pretty clean.

This was the 1st time we stayed @Broadway. Stayed from 27th August 2018 to 2nd September 2018 (7 days). Booked 2 rooms, one for my family (me with my hubby and 2 girls, aged 8 and 12) and other one for my sister. To be frank, I was bit reluctant to book this hotel after reading some of the reviews on web. I'm generally afraid of insects and cockroaches in particular. But I hv not seen a single cockroach during my stay. I must say that I had a great stay there. Room and the bathroom were clean and tidy. We were provided with clean towels daily. We reached the hotel by 9am - they allowed us an early check-in which was very convenient for us. Front desk was really polite. Very helpful & courteous staff. If you want they let you leave your baggages for safekeeping even after checking out too. Water bottles are not provided but there is a tap outside the room with hot&cold water - hence water is not an issue at all. The location is excellent. Less than 400m to 24-hour Mustafa Center. Also very close to Farrer Park MRT which enables you to reach Universal Studio, Sentosa, China Town. At the same time it's just abt 5 min walk to Little India MRT so you can travel to Gardens by the Bay very easily. Delhi Restaurant serves authentic Indian cuisine but there are plenty of food options in this area so no big issue. Very good value for money. Specially when you are comparing with other hotels in Little India. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay here again.

There are weird black stains on the bedsheet and the toilet roll was near empty upon check it. Not sure if it's this hotel's company policy but so far the hotels I've been to, the toilet rolls are fresh. To me, it's just an indicator that this hotel can't be bothered. The package which includes the steak at opus bar and grill was fabulous. The food was very nice and the portions were generous, and yes free flow of wine (both red and white for two hours). The service staff were also very attentive and everything was great! Having said that, we just have one feedback on the tv in the room. No contact check in/out was easy and fuss free. Though you would have to download the app, the hosts were always online and quick to respond to any needs. Cabin M may be small for 2 pax apart from the bed, but i stayed alone and it was just right for me. The shared baths were mostly kept clean as housekeeping would come by every now and then. Toilets were dependent on whether the other people on the same floor used it responsibly as well. Kitchen had basic necessities e.g. microwave, water dispenser and sink. Overall, I loved the location the most as it was very convenient to get food or to the MRT! Would be back again

Well located, really nice staff for everything, including informations. Bed was comfortable, good shower, breakfast simple but ok. The 2 biggest problems are the travellers who don't respect the sharing room after 23h00 (need a corfu or to be advise) and the room on the street side with a restaurant open 24/24, are to to noisy. You just get little sleep. Coming from Airport, with MRT get off at Jelan Besar exit B, turn right, walk to Dickson Road. We stayed in Aqueen Heritage for 5 nights from February 3rd to February 8th. We were a family of 8 , 6 adults and 2 kids. We were provided rooms much before the check-in time of 2 pm, so , they are definitely flexible. Rooms are very very small , but manageable , as all we had to do in the room was come back after a tired full day trip to sleep. Cleanliness of the rooms was really good. The location is ideal for anyone travelling from India as there are tons of Indian restaurants next to the hotel and nearby. Metro too is just about 300m. Stayed there for a night fully paid using cash (not using singapore rediscover voucher) the boutique hotel is located just behind LKY Oxley home. Walking distance was 10 mins away from Orchard Central. The room is spacious and the toilet is clean. The hotel provides toiletries and we had our breakfast using the hotel voucher at Artisan Boulangerie Co located at Killiney Road which is 3 mins Walking distance with a choice of pastry and offered a top up of drink to large size at $1.05. The hotel is only a 2 storey property. Front desk staff was polite except that they were rushing through telling us the T&C and house rules of the hotel and there was a $100 deposit charged to my credit card which may take some time for the refund. Sound proof isn't that good as we keep hearing sounds of slamming door whenever someone opens their room door. Unfortunately the neighbour beside my room keeps singing like a crow and as the outerside of the showing area is partially enclosed, so we can hear it loud and clear in our room. Didn't get to use the pool due to the location as it is just right underneath the walkway to the lobby. There is no privacy as whoever enter or exit the hotel is able to just look down and that is where the pool is. Although it is clean and spacious but given the location and the condition of the hotel not being sound proof, I will not patronise again.
