Hotels Near Joe Champs In Cologne
0.07km from Joe ChampsStayed here for a long weekend in Cologne during a european heatwave. The hotel is located right in the city centre with easy access to public transport, including the main train station and the tram. It is also only 10 minutes walk away from the famous Kolner Dom. Just outside the hotel, there are many restaurants, bars and fast food outlets to suit everyone. It is in the perfect location for everything. The hotel itself has a welcoming and clean lobby area, with pleasant staff upon arrival. The rooms are fairly basic, but also quite spacious. There was a lack of air conditioning throughout the summer which was difficult to deal with, however it was perhaps the hottest weekend of the summer in Germany. For the price we paid, it was a great deal and in a great location for us.
0.11km from Joe ChampsIn this Corona times when traveling became hard for everyone, the communication with Steigenberger was amazing, in the booking process and during my Journey at Steigenberger. The room was simply "ASTONISHING" , located on the 10th floor I had a great view where I was able to enjoyed an amazing sunset, comfortable and extremely clean. Everyone was incredibly friendly and super professional. Breakfast was great with an amazing selection of food and beverage, omelette cooked on the spot. I will definitely be back at Steigenberger. Thanks everyone in Steigenberger that made my trip to Köln unforgettable .
0.28km from Joe ChampsI had an enjoyable stay for one night at Astor und Aparthotel. The taxi from the airport cost almost 40 euro so I would recommend getting the train to Cologne central which cost 3 euro and is a 20 min walk to the hotel. I was staying alone and felt completely comfortable in the hotel and the surrounding area. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. The hotel room cost 79.80 euro. It was clean and pleasant enough although my room was a single and really was a single bed in a small room. The location is good - around a 20 min walk from most places I wanted to go. I wouldn’t say the value is great for the room I got compared to what I paid but it is a decent hotel.
0.3km from Joe ChampsA faultless flight from Manchester Airport to Cologne Airport, easy train trainfer and a short trip to our hotel, booked in very quickly and allocated a twin bedded room ,room was ample size ,spotlessly clean ,flat screen tv ( channel 116 English language channel ) ,clean bathroom ,nice and cosy room, breakfast was superb, great choice of hot and cold offerings beautifully set out, coffee was delicious, flavoured tea also superb ,cold juices were also really tasty ,coffee was available throughout the whole day ,staff here made our stay special, from the reception staff, staff who cleaned our room, the whole team, just another great stay and when we return to Cologne next year we will stay no were else. A great hotel ,one I highly recommend you visit look at if your planning a trip to this beautiful city.
0.31km from Joe ChampsI have stayed in many hotels that fall far short of this hostel on so many counts. The staff are so welcoming helpful and nothing is too much trouble. A breakfast room with tea and coffee 24/7 and snacks put out. A fridge where you can buy drinks and if reception is closed a honesty policy. I am a 59 year old man (I use my wifes account) but did not feel out of place. I had booked a bed in a dormitory but the young man on reception said a single room was free would I like a upgrade which was very kind. The room itself was great each room has a theme and mine was of boats the bed was made from a boat it had a rocking chair normal chair and bureau desk. The bed was super clean and the linen crisp. The whole hostel is spotless compliments to the cleaner. There is a lively bar downstairs which is a bonus as you do not need to venture out on wet nights like I had. However you cannot hear the bar as the reception is level 4 and my room was level 6. I was only there a few hours as I had a plane to catch and wanted to get a few hours sleep. The location is great for getting around either on foot or public transport. I wish I had stayed longer would I stay again definitely. Thank you for your hospitality.

0.35km from Joe ChampsI really enjoy staying at this hotel every time that I am in Cologne. The employees are really friendly and helpful. The rooms and interior are chosen with great care and feel homely and stylish and the beds are very comfortable. The rich vegetarian breakfast is very tasty and the staff will gladly make you really nice cappuccino and an omelette. I strongly recommend this hotel to all travelers off the city.
0.37km from Joe ChampsWe booked a double-bed room with breakfast for 2 days When we reached at the hotel they gave us a very small " L " form room with 2 separate beds which were lying separately from each other (One bed was placed at the small side of the "L" shaped room and the other was placed at the long side of the "L" shaped room). The room was in the ground floor facing to the common backyard of multiple buildings which was not bigger than 250 square meters and only letting 5 or 6 cars park at the same time. The only view was a parked car directly in front of the room window which was nearly 50-60 centimetres away. The day light also couldn't reach the room. After I asked them to change our room only because of my booking a double room, I was asked to shift the beds together so that I can get a double bed room. I answered politely that the room is very small and we cannot shift nothing to nowhere. Then we were given another room on the 4th floor facing to the street which was not so bad like the first one. The new room had two separated beds positioned together. The breakfast was also poor.

0.37km from Joe Champs- no power outlet by bed - no light by bed - no fitted bed sheets (get messed up at night or maybe I’m just incompetent) - no prepared beds - unit’s bathroom insufficiently equipped: one fabric towel for everyone to use, no hand sanitizer, insufficient for Covid-19 mitigation, shower unappealing to use because of tied up shower curtains - public bathroom downstairs incredibly claustrophobic - price relatively high in European comparison - snoring roommates (not staff’s fault I guess) + spacious rooms + self-check-in-kiosk + 24h reception + soap in every bathroom unit + modern and cozy lobby + good WiFi + generous storage locker (bring lock!) + good location + friendly guests and staff + TV in unit (not that anybody needed it) + couch and seats in unit Summary: Cool place to stay, absolutely does it job. Small comforts are missing which I consider necessary for travelers (power and sanitation). Recommendation for staff: provide towels and hand sanitizer in unit’s bathrooms and allow guests a way to charge their electric devices by their bed because they will need them for further travel the next day.
0.39km from Joe ChampsLovely little hostel, around a 20 minute walk from Koln Dom/Hbf central station, or you can get a quick tram/U-Bahn. I stayed in a 6-bed female room with en-suite. Beds: 3 x bunk beds. Each bed had a light, USB charging ports x2 and a little shelf. Bedding is 3.50 Euro for your stay. Our fitted sheets didn't fit the mattress, but we didn't mind as the mattress is clean and comfortable. Towels are 1.50 Euro to rent for your stay. Two crates under each bunk bed. Bring a BIG lock, as mine was slightly too small to lock the crate with. They're spacious but not the most secure; I believe there's a more secure safe behind reception. Bathroom: Two en-suite rooms, one with toilet and sink, the other had a shower and sink. Both had shower gel/hand wash. Lobby: Lobby has seating area and projector to play sport on. Foosball table, snooker table (2.50 Euro a game, 20 Euro deposit). Vending machines. Cash maching (4.99 Euro withdrawal cost). Communal Kitchen: Fridge, takeaway bags, microwave, kettle, hob. NO OVEN or TOASTER. Lots of pots and pans and cutlery. Near a Lidl! Which was a life saver. Would stay again.

0.4km from Joe ChampsSmall boutique hotel right near the beach. Free shuttle from the airport that runs on a schedule. Shuttle driver was fun and friendly. Hotel is near lots of shopping and not a far drive from the cruise port. The patio area is nice and they offer a free happy hour at the bar from 7-8 each day.

0.45km from Joe ChampsI have stayed in many hotels all over the world - therefore I am able to put the Lindner in quite a rich context. The staff seems to be friendly by nature instead of friendly by training - you feel the difference. This is the most important value. Nevertheless - rooms are nice, love the shower, very nice & well equipped gym and spa area! Location is ideal in the middle of shopping miles. Highly recommendable!!!
0.54km from Joe ChampsI had stayed in IBIS Hotels both in Nuremberg & Cologne, and I am sad to say that both these Hotels left me with bad taste for Accor Hotels in Germany. But alas, this Mercure Hotel came to the rescue and lifted some of these "doubts" from my bad experiences. The staffs are more "professional" and live up to the standard & recognition that ACCOR is an International Hotel Chain, not some local domestic or family run hotel chain. So, I would conclude that it is most probably not the culture, it is the misconception of both the IBIS Hotel staffs on what kind of establishment that they are actually working for. Thank You to Mercure Hotel staff for a "friendlier" German hospitality.

Never having been to Germany, our travel agent booked my wife and I at The Ameron Regent. We were met by wonderful hospitality agents, at the desk. Our room was well set up and the amenities that are not on their listing, like sleeping masks and a bottle of free mineral water daily, was surprisingly delightful. They were able to answer all of our questions, no matter how odd or outlandish, and gave us great suggestions to get around the city. My wife has already said that next time we make it to western Germany, it will be Cologne and the Ameron Regent!! Shout out to the best hospitality agent: Christian Blanco; he made our stay more than wonderful...THANK YOU
We arrived at the hotel at around 9am which is quite early for check in. Then got told at the reception by a young lady that our rooms were ready. So we thought that was great as we had been allowed to check in early at many hotels across Europe during our recent holiday. The next minute however we got told that sorry you can’t check in till 3pm. So we said sorry, but we are Accor members and usually you are allowed an early check in and a late check out if the room is available. While we understand that 9am is early, what is the earliest we can check in? Sorry 3pm was the reply or you can pay €25 if you want to check in now! So we paid the 25 Euros as we wanted to use the room and put our bags away instead of leaving them at reception and coming back at 3 pm. What annoyed us the most was the inflexible attitude as our room was ready and as we were going to be checking out at 6 am the next morning we were hardly going to be overstaying our time! No other hotel and especially Accor hotels has any problems giving us the room early if it was available and even if 9 am broke some rule , then surely 1 pm or anything earlier than 3 could have been offered? To top it off the shower drain was blocked in our room and when taking a shower the water overflowed onto the bathroom floor which we then mopped up with the towels. I then removed the plug and cleaned out the filter so that we could complete our showers! Won’t stay here again or recommend
I have stayed here before and liked it. I booked again for an exhibition at the Messe, where you can easily walk from the hotel. The exhibition was cancelled because of the Coronavirus. The hotel gave me a full refund which i really appreciated. I will now stay there each year, even if more expensive. They have gained my loyalty. Thanks.
1. From the main station of Cologne train station, turn left and walk for about eight minutes to reach the hotel. Cologne Cathedral is right next to the train station. The hotel is convenient for play. 2. The buffet breakfast on the first floor of the hotel has many varieties and tastes good. The children are half price, and the mother and the child have a total of 25 euros. If it is too expensive, there is a bakery, sandwich, and hamburger on the opposite side of the road. It tastes good. There is also a supermarket Rewe, Dm is convenient to buy things. 3. Hotel facilities are very good, the room is large, clean and quiet, the toiletries are complete (just no disposable slippers), the bed is very comfortable. In short, this hotel is suitable for Cologne family trips and is recommended.
Cologne City Center
This hotel suits my taste. From what I’ve seen, maintenance is good, it definitely matters as much as the cleanliness. (try taking the glass elevator and go up to have a background of the city on your photo) I experienced good customer service in our one night stay as front desk have been courteous and pleasant. He welcomed us warmly and greeted is as it was our honeymoon. The hotel is just a walk to the famous churches and to the shops. We returned to our room that evening and saw a turndown service of sweet treats, it was definitely nice since I do that before and it was new to my husband which cheered him up. Our mini bar was f.o.c which gave such convenience when we needed drinks. Amenities were complete, even polish for shoes was present with a shoe mitt. It Valentine’s Day so me and my husband went to their bar and it was very busy but understandable since there was an occasion at that time. Good thing the barmaid gave us a spot available and she attended to our orders. The mojito and piña colada is off the menu which you can still order, and they were so goood!! She had a short hair and I wasn’t able to get her name. Working in a hotel before and I must say she was doing great checking up on the customers. It was too late when I knew about the sauna, would’ve been great. Overall, our experience was great and would definitely go back when in Koln again!
