Stayed in the Amura twice recently on visits to family in Alcobendas. We chose the hotel not only because it is 5 minutes walk from their home but also because of the swimming pool and free shuttle bus to and from the airport. Agree with other reviewers that tea/coffee making facilities would make it better but I have stayed in several Madrid hotels in recent years and that isn’t something any of them have offered. Both rooms we have stayed in were very comfortable although would benefit from a bit of refurbishment. However, the the location is ideal for us and we would definitely stay again on our next trip.

I must mention the noise, not the Hotels fault, but the uneducated people who every hour or so during the night simply accessed their rooms talking loudly. I no longer live in Spain, and haven't done so in a very long time, so didn't remember what the Spaniards can do to your mental health, in a negative way! The Hotel is modern, less expensive than say the Ibis ( in which I am sure I would have had the noisy night also), and including breakfast, which was OK, I suppose. Parking, a free option outside is insufficient. If full I guess you are bound for the underground option at 9 euros a night. The reception area is on the 1st floor, one up from the Ground floor

Very nice and clean, parking is also very convenient, seven euros a day. There is a restaurant next to it, the taste is not bad. You can have a good Spanish meal.

European traditional hotel, facilities and services are very good. But old-fashioned hotels can be less effective. Not in the city, but it is very close to the subway station, 5 minutes walk. It's not very far to the airport by taxi. The surrounding area is clean and there are parks, suitable for a leisurely vacation.

We recently stayed at Hampton Alcobendas for three nights (Jun 9-12) while visiting a friend who lived in the area. It’s a 10 min taxi ride from the airport (€20 approx). We Ubered it on the way back which cost €14. Uber arrived at hotel within 5 mins of being ordered. Staff at check in were friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable, the comfy bed was huge and the (included) breakfast was good and filled a gap for most of the day. For some reason the pool wasn’t open until my last day, and it was 36-40 degrees! (My mate seemed to think that was to do with local laws, because all the other pools in the area were also closed. No idea if this was true or not). An elderly American lady was giving one of the reception guys a hard time about the pool being closed when I arrived. Not sure why, it wasn’t like it was his fault. The pool was small (but adequate) it was very “concrete” though and in my opinion could do with some greenery around it to make it more appealing. Bar prices were reasonable for a hotel bar, €3 for a small draft and €6 for a large one. There is a very limited bar menu during the day and a slightly extended one at night, food was ok, nothing special, much better to be had out and about. I was surprised to find it busy returning after 11:30pm on all three nights I was there. Good place for a night cap. The wifi was excellent and since my company has now said we can “work from home anywhere in the world” for a couple of weeks a year (yeah I know, strange!) I’m seriously considering coming back here at some point. All in all this is a comfortable business hotel, close to the airport but with no real Spanish character. I stayed in another Hampton in Berlin a couple of months ago and this looks exactly the same. Not a criticism, it is what it is and did the job for me. Thought the reception staff all spoke great English, were friendly, very helpful and an asset to this hotel. Maybe not ideal for a visit for the centre of Madrid but it was handy for me. Good hotel with great price quality relation. Location is in a suburban, mainly habitational area, away from the center and very quiet but with easy access to the highways that connect to every place in the city. Dont have a lot of restaurants near by but the hotel restaurante is very good and with good prices and service. Negative for me as a football fan... the hotel bar don´t have sports channels that transmit Live Champion Leagues games
