In summer, after having enjoyed swimming at Koikawa Beach, you can satisfy with seafood barbecue. In winter, you can eat snow crab dishes and Wakasa no Torafu.

This place was beautiful. Exactly as pictures showed. I stayed with friends, but I think it’d be especially good for couples or a family. There are four beds, but it could probably sleep a cozy 8. Though I didn’t have time to use it, there is a kitchen on the second floor with a sink, mini fridge, and burner. The location is 1.5 bath, but the bath itself was impressive! Very clean and modern. You could have a garden view if you like, or keep the shutters shut for privacy. It came complete with everything you need, yukata robes, soap, hairbrush, razor, even bath salts. It felt very luxurious. Also, the staircase is really charming! It’s an old style staircase with drawers! Upstairs, the ceiling has exposed wood beams for more old style charm. The only downside is that the only toilets are on the ground level. But this place has lots of charm, space, and was a very comfortable and quiet stay.

We came here with a cycle tour. Good room overlooked harbour and views of setting sun. Hotel is a bit 'tired', and bathroom small. Staff very helpful (using electronic translator to overcome language issues). Dinner was traditional Japanese with 12 courses - fantastic!

The hotel facilities, which had enjoyed the honor of the Crown Prince and the Crown Princess of Japan once, were a little bit oldish. But the dinner they served was just great. The grilled fish was superb. The fish cooked in sake and soy sauce was fantastic. As usual, they served sashimi, tempura..... I enjoyed having them, watching the gorgeous sun set.
