Stayed one night with my brother in law and his Japanese friend. This was a new experience for a guy from Wyoming. Having a “local” certainty helped but enough of the staff spoke English that I’d come back on my own. The baths are so relaxing, koi pond was nice and even the “check in” tradition a nice touch. The traditional dinner and breakfast were delicious and such a pleasure to view. I think most Westerner could eat/enjoy the food though, I loved it. You should give the whole experience a go 😊I obviously have no reference point for comparison but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Our Japanese friend felt this was a good place too. You get a better deal price wise during the week than Friday- Sunday so it you are traveling on vacation keep that in mind. FromUS$238.00

I rarely attach the label “excellent” to reviews. However this place really earned it. The place itself is beautiful with great views out over the village of Ito and the sea beyond. The pickup from the train went exactly as advertised, we were met by a man with a green flag and the ryokan name on his banner. We left Ito at exactly the half hour and arrived at the ryokan only 8 minutes later. The reception by staff was flawless and made us all feel like we were the only guests there. The rooms ( on the 6th floor) were traditional and, after the ladies putting on their chosen house gowns and me, my allocated one, we went to the onsen. The mens was was excellent, like an infinity pool. There are indoor and outdoor pools and you can move freely between them while always being gender separated. The meal was served in our room and was excellent. I am not adventurous with food but the eight course dinner was terrific. The beds (futons with Doonas) were made up for us and were very comfortable. There is a choice if three types of pillows from the normal rock-like Japanese pillows through feather pillows to contoured one’s. Another onsen in the morning followed by breakfast (western style) and then off on the shuttle to Tokyo. This was a brilliant respite from the hustle of the cities and I would recommend it to all.FromUS$226.00

We stayed here two nights. The hotel had contacted us ahead of time about the lack of non-smoking room but offered to deodorize. Also reminded us about the availability of hotel shuttle pick-up at Ito train station starting from 2pm with a phone call. It took the second phone call to find the hotel staff who can speak some English. At the hotel check-in, we were greeted by a staff who can speak some English. The whole stay for two days was very pleasant. First dinner in a room with several tables was very good, with lots of fresh local seafood. Breakfast in the main dining room offered Japanese and some Western food. Second dinner was in the main dining room and professionally served with attention. Again very good food. We took the 9:10 shuttle to the Ito train station, with plenty of time to catch the 9:30 train to Shimoda.FromUS$61.00

Really very Japanese-style hotel, Japanese-style feeling does not feel like a foreigner to live in === This hotel and Xiaoyong Park are the same hotel, I stayed with my girlfriend for a night in the green night, Xiaoyong Park, Green Chung is the traditional room in Japanese TV series. It has a special feeling. There is an open-air hot spring. The domestic hot springs are basically under the blisters. It is not good here. The water temperature is very high. Like the boiling water... you need to open the cold water pipe next to it. Neutralize for a while. The hot spring here is worth mentioning. It will mark that it is a few hot springs. The temperature of the water is salt spring, which is completely different from the domestic hot springs. The shower room can't get used to it. The height of the nozzle is that you have to sit and wash your hair. =_=The bathtub is a bit strange. It feels like you have dug a pit on the floor and installed a bathtub... People have to jump down hahaha. The breakfast was so shocking that I looked directly at the picture. The location of the hotel is a bit biased. It is a small station near the southeast of Yizhou. There is no elevator. There are very few people getting off the bus here. My girlfriend and I have a big suitcase and I want to die. Around 711, there is a large supermarket in the whole family and it is 24 hours, all in the 50 meters range. A shuttle bus to Ito Station is provided every hour in the morning. Few people know English at the front desk, and communication will be a little hard. Forgot to say, stay in the room with a full set of pola dressing big bottle of skin care products, you can take away ... four bottles of water milk remover hair spray ... shocked......FromUS$296.00

was dissappointed because it is far from ocean. i was expecting jp style ryokan (inn) but it is mediocre hotel. pros: morning & evening meals are buffet but good delicious food selctions. large comfortable rooms cons: No wifi in rooms, wifi only at small front desk bus shuttle service from hotel to Ito train station only available until 1130 AM despite guests bus shuttle pickup from Ito station to hotel availalble until 1700. hotel shud implement a more orderly method during meals. Guests go to buffet lines helter skelter. Coffee is self-service. Only 1 coffee machine so it took over 15 min to get a cup of coffee. Guests cannot choose time preference for breakfast nor dinner. Time is forced upon us. all u can drink is only 1 hour; small seletion of available drinks small reception areas very small public bath nothing nearby hotel to walk about & sight-see Will I visit this hotel again? The Mistress is kind and good communication with English. and quite helpful also. She recommanded that we go to the local museum (which isn't on our list) since it's rainy while our staying. This is an older hotel that appears to be nicely maintained. We had a HUGE room with comfortable futon sleeping arrangements. The front desk (and breakfast) staff were friendly and helpful. A nice breakfast buffet is laid out in the lobby. But the *real* draw are the onsens. One of the communal baths (they switch between men's/lady's at 10PM daily) has a very large outdoor bath attached. And of the three private baths (no additional charge), the one at the end of the volcanic air raid shelter tunnel is a fun chance to bathe in giant "cannibal pots."FromUS$58.00

Very close to train station, this onsen town must have seen it's limelight in the 80s. With that said, it was still very charming and easy to navigate. The hotel is slightly older however it is still wonderful. Room was large and clean. We had a private bath in our room. The public bath was clean and wonderful and my daughter and I always had it to ourselves! Please note that the mens and womens onsen switch sides everyday. Yep, we were in the mens bath one day when the women at the front desk entered, helped us dress and then told me that we were in the mens bath!! Walked out with the entire staff waiting for me and my daughter. I was so embarrassed but they were so gracious and accommodating. I think the maintenance man that checks on the baths spotted us. ugh. Good story we can tell our friends. Stay here, staff was super friendly, accommodations are wonderful and the food was terrific. We only had breakfast and I wish I would have booked the dinner. PS-there is also a masseuse on property. Limited hours but great!

Cannot recommend this authentic ryokan enough - apart from the usual, the owners go way and beyond: it was raining cats and dogs during our stay, therefore the owen took us to local home improvement store to get some rain gear - then gave us a lift to Jogasaki Coast for our hike AND picked us up (soaked, fitting) afterwards. They also have cute onsen on premises, if not - have a promotion to visit one 10 mins away. If that is not enough, we got electric bikes to go to Mount Omuro - total highlight of the whole visit. Oh, almost forgot, please, use the massage chair in the lounge - memorable experience :) I thank Hinodeya family for their hospitality!

Had a really amazing vacation here at Anjin. The location was reasonable. Around 15 minutes walk from the Ito station, or a 5 minutes taxi ride. There was a convenience store right next to the hotel, and being close to the ocean, I loved taking walks near the hotel. The staff were amazing. I was especially impressed by the staff at the restaurant. They made me felt welcome every time. The room was beautiful with a beautiful view of the ocean, with all the amenities necessary, and the AC was cool enough since it was still the weather was still a little hot in September. The hotspring at the top floor was really nice. Love their idea of having an outdoor deck and indoor sofa area where you can rest after hotspring. Little things such as free drinks and popsicles were really thoughtful and made my stay even more enjoyable. The meals were fabulous, both breakfast and dinner, and I appreciated how the hotel thoughtfully arranged for different food for me since I was staying for 3 days 2 nights that I didn’t have to eat the same set of food twice. Honestly Hoshino Resorts are all superb in their hospitality, service and experience, and Kai Anjin has not disappointed me at all! Would highly recommend anyone to stay here should they visit Ito. One point to note for visitors though: the easiest route to walk from the station is to go through 湯の花通り商店街 then the 松川遊步道. You might want to do some research on these routes beforehand (I got lost the first time and took extra time to get to the hotel). If you are carrying a lot of suitcases, would suggest taking a taxi really from the station.

The hotel is about 4 kilometers away from the Izu Kogen Motor Show. There are buses to the hotel. There are shuttle bus trains to the Otaniyama and Izu Kogen Train Stations. As shown in the first time, we didn’t know the time, so the car was about 1,700 yen. . Hotel facilities are old but very clean. The lobby is very gasy. Breakfast can also be considered as Japanese-style. The hotel has its own hot springs. The environment is very good. The hot springs are very comfortable. Good front desk service. There is an English uncle. It is recommended to have a dinner. Japanese dinner is not bad. The hotel is about 1.3 km from the Muroyama and Cactus Zoo. The hotel has a car to recommend and the scenery is beautiful. The first photo is the second in the lobby, the third is the first dish of the Japanese dinner, the fourth is the child is eating breakfast, the fifth is the view of the room, the sixth is the seventh of the Cactus Zoo. It is the eighth of the Muroyama and the ninth of the Kawasaki coast is the Izu Kogen Train Station.
