0.18km from Kallang StnI'm not really a fan of shared accommodation but considering SG is pricey and considering spacepod is alluring, I gave it a go. The place is clean. They do clean everyday. Breakfast is free though with limited selection. Was fortunate that during our stay our 'capsulemates' were really considerate. Recep do give tips and you can ask them for instructions too. Pod is super near Kallang Metro and Kallang Bus stop thus going anywhere is convenient. There are couple of restau/drinking areas in the vicinity. Overall experience is great.
0.18km from Kallang StnIt was my first time staying at a capsule hotel/hostel so I was excited but also wasn't sure what to expect. This is my review from that perspective. Noise - I stayed here with my sister so we got a capsule meant for 2 and I guess that was partially the problem; there were only 2 double capsules and they were both near the entrance & pantry so there's a fair bit of traffic there, which inevitably meant more noise. It didn't help that: we were light sleepers, the only things separating the inside of our capsule and the entire dorm were a single layer of curtains, and we got the bottom capsule. The first night was difficult. Smell - The place as a whole was clean; pantry and toilets were well lit and furnished so no complaints there. The blanket and sheets of the bed were fine too... but there's an inexplicable god awful smell (like feet smell) that would come in wafts when we were right outside our capsule (that's where our luggage and stuff was). We couldn't locate where the smell originated from and it might have even been the stench of weary travellers but the recollection of it even now makes my nose hairs curl. Privacy – Not much different from that of a dormitory style hostel aside from the curtains separating your capsule. You do get lockers for your stuff. Location - Really a close walk to the nearest MRT station once we got our bearings right. But our first Grab driver couldn't quite locate it - it's tucked into a corner near a couple of food places/pubs and a construction site (at the time of travel). One night not far from the hostel, a couple of men were yelling at each other nearing a fight (I assume they were inebriated). It's not exactly a seedy area but this is just something to note. Summary: Relatively affordable, clean, well equipped and public transport is easily accessible; trade off would be the noise and privacy.
0.55km from Kallang StnThe room is very small and the bathroom is smaller, but it is clean, but there are many teams and it is too noisy
0.55km from Kallang StnCompared to other hotels, the rooms are a bit bigger, located in the center of Shuangshui Lane and the Red Light District. It is very convenient to eat. There are intersections downstairs.

0.56km from Kallang StnWe used the efficient MRT from Changi airport to Kallang Station (EW10) & paid just S$1.59 using a prepaid EZ-Link MRT card we ordered from a website that promotes the airport for S$9 & got it upon arrival. It’s better to arrive in SG late at night or early morning to avoid the notorious heat & humidity. It’s like walking inside a toaster-oven during the day, so keep hydrated and bring a small towel to wipe the you dry from all the perspiring. The hotel is about a kilometer walk from the Kallang MRT Station but if you’re dragging a big luggage while sweating & huffing, it’s quite a feat. Singapore is near the equator so walking around is no fun. Along the way, you'll see some food stalls but a few of them open late. I noticed one that was extremely popular among drivers that serves Malay-Indian dishes. The area is in a quiet road but right across a main thoroughfare on whose side trees and other greeneries were planted to buffer from the dust and fumes. The hotel is housed in a recessed, nondescript building with glass door entrance. Check-in was prompt & manned all the time as it seems the place also serves as a love hotel. The elevator, although small, is quite fast. It can accommodate maybe 3 people with big suitcases. The room is small - about 8 x 10, with a high 12-foot ceiling. but as we were assigned an 8th-floor room that fronts the street, there’s great view of the Singapore skyline from the window. So expect to sort your stuff on top of the bed if you have a big luggage as there’s limited room to wiggle around. The bathroom is about 4.5 square feet. You shower on the same area where the toilet bowl & sink are – so a flipflops helps. The shower pressure is great & hot water flow is great -- if you’re afraid of taking cold showers – which is ideal- in very hot & humid Singapore. Towels -very thin- & toothbrushes were provided but there were no other toiletries. The sheets are clean but another set of pillows would help travelers get better rest. The overhead A/C is operated by a remote control & takes a bit of fiddling to get to one's choice of temperature --specially if you're in the room at mid-day. The ad says “smoke-free guestrooms” but we smelled hints of tar or nicotine in our room. The hotel is so close to Geylang Road which is dotted with cheap shops & eating places and known as the ‘red light district’ of Singapore. So before you head back to your room, get your food, snacks & drinks from these shops & save a lot. They open early, too! Even at most cheap eating places, you may find the price of beer expensive (about S$8 for a liter) but at 'hawker food centers', it's OK to bring your beer bought from some place else. The bus stop in front of the hotel doesn’t service the places of interests so just use the Kallang MRT as your base or take the buses along Geylang Road (the closest one fronts the Mohd Salleh Mosque) to avoid walking long distances in this very humid pl

0.56km from Kallang StnI love t stay here because of its cleanliness and peaceful surroundings. Though it’s a bit far from the MRT Station, the streets were so clean, safe and peaceful you can walk even late at night safely. T’was a good exercise tho. The Indian who talked to me in the train was right that is very peaceful and safe. I slept and rested well after those tiring walks and travels. A very comfortable budget hotel. The staff are so friendly. Water, coffee, towels and soap were provided. Next time I go back to this hotel, I don’t need to bring towels anymore. 😀 Very recommendable to future tourists. Proud to be there. Thanks.
0.6km from Kallang StnService was great and hassle free. SGD100 for security deposit. The quadruple room is so comfortable but with limited walking area. Everything from the minibar is free. The bed, comforter and pillow are heaven! I missed it already! No issues to find food even its late at night. Despite the location in red area we don't see any activities going on and it feels perfectly safe to walk around from the main road to the hotel. 10 mins walk to Kallang MRT and 20 mins walk to national stadium. Love everything about the hotel!

Hotels Near Kallang Stn In Singapore Review
Due to travelling restrictions, my husband and I are confined to looking for staycation as our honeymoon after we got married this year. We had a really enjoyable stay in Shangri-la. We requested for earlier check-in at 12PM and was told that it will be subject to availability. When we arrive at the hotel at around 12PM, we were pleasantly surprised to be told that we are given a free upgrade to Valley Wing Deluxe Room and given access to the exclusive lounge with drinks, high tea and canapés available for us.
We had our dinner later on at Waterfall Restaurant which was part of the package that we bought on Trip.com. The 3-course meal that we had was really delicious with great atmosphere as we were seated outdoors at the pool side.
The service provided to us was impeccable. Perhaps the only small downside is the accessibility of the hotel if you don't drive. We pretty much stayed in the hotel during our entire trip so it wasnt really a big factor.
Would love to visit Shangri-la again in future :)
I booked for my fiancé's birthday and in lieu to celebrate New Years. Firstly, early check in was given as to prevent the crowd during the New Years Eve. Very smart move made by the hotel which I am very thankful for! It helps to control the crowd.
Trip.com has emailed me to WhatsApp the hotel as were told by the hotel to request for early check in. Replies by the hotel staffs were fast too!
After checking in, I called to reserve the pool but it was sad I could not go as it was raining! The room was rather small but that's fine by me! The shampoo and body wash given smells nice! I usually do not use hotel's shampoo/bodywash but this hotel's toiletries was quite nice! The view from the toiler was not bad too! You need to of course close the blind to have a private shower. Was given free macaroons delivered by the robots to my room as it was my fiancé's birthday! Super kind gesture made by the hotel staffs! We were super touched!
The next day, when I went down to pick up my breakfast as I choose to take away(can select to dine in or take away), the staff could not find my breakfast order as my breakfast order was misplaced by one of the staffs (the one I gave my order sheet to) But that's okay because I did not mind waiting for them to pack my food again.
I was also granted late check out!
Overall, pleasant stay! The team was all very friendly and approachable. Thank you!
Booked 3 rooms for family staycation. I would like to thank Ms Dillah and Mun kind assistance in arranging an earlier check-in for the 2 rooms. Front desk staff are all friendly and helpful.
The room is spacious and clean. Water pressure of the bathroom is good!
However, I was kind of disappointed that the club lounge did not open. Nevertheless, they do send food and drinks to our room at 6pm, and will refill our drink every 45mins. The lady that serve the drinks and the guy that serve the food was very nice and friendly. The food (chicken chop with truffle mash potatoe) is DELICIOUS, and the white wine (requested during 2nd serving) they offered is nice!!! But didn't had chance to ask what is the brand, as I left the room after 2nd serving. Not sure how long they serve the drink, I guess till 7:30pm?
Great location, so we can easily bring our parents to Haji lane to walk around and feel as though we are on vacation.
Ginger Restaurant decoration is lovely!!! But the breakfast serve at Ginger restaurant was pretty average to me... Wouldn't mind having as a package, but wouldn't pay the price for the kind of food serve. Service at the restaurant were much slower too as staff tend to look at the floor instead of the guest. But its CNY so I shall not comment much. But there's one aunty that serve food with big lovely smile. Its a petty that I didn't take note of her name.
Overall experience staying in Park Royal Hotel Beach Road is good! Would definitely recommend if you are looking at staycation situated at convenience location filled with hipster cafe and nice restaurant.
Actually requested for highest floor with amazing view but they didn’t fulfil my request. It’s okay, they also mention to make advance booking for swimming pool and so we did, but pool is fully booked, felt so disappointed. During check in we try our luck again for the pool, lucky there is last 3 slot of us. Around 7pm went swimming, but no one was there. (Wonder why they say it’s fully book) 😕 In the afternoon try to make booking for pool again, again they say fully book. We didn’t bother to go down to check.
Aside from that, we do appreciate the gifts that comes in the package that include late check out at 6pm, inclusive of breakfast and semi lunch buffet for 2 adults. Room was very spacious and clean. Overall we are happy with our stay there. Definitely we come again.
From booking communication through email, Aisyah was the best. Everything went smooth and all our requests was accommodated. Even the room upgrade. Thank you so much Aisyah! :)
Check in was smooth and Vin was really friendly and welcoming. As for the room (1015), it was almost perfect! Room was spacious enough for two and the view was AMAZING!!! Truly a panoramic view. Balcony was great, but it would have been better if there was a brighter light for lounging out during the evening.
Only improvement I guess would be some of the staff being more friendly specially by the pool and beach area. In other Shangri-la, guests would go directly to the beds and a staff will bring the towels and some water for refreshments. We did not experience this here in Rasa Sentosa. Not sure if this is because of covid. But it would still be great if the staff would in those areas be more welcoming and friendly.
Overall, had a great time and had a great birthday celebration. We would definitely come back for another quick getaway from the city. Thank you so much!
Only 2 bottled water allowed per room. Request for more bottled water was refused. Water kettle was not working well, kept leaking and unsafe for usage. Had to go to plaza singapura to buy 5L of bottled water from cold storage. Upon request for shavers, they could only provide 1 shaver per room even though 2 pax check in. Extremely unhygienic, luckily we brought alcohol wipes.
Doors are not soundproof and can hear other neighbor’s doors slamming very loudly in the middle of the night. Request for late checkout also turned down even though hotel not fully booked (upon checking, there were many rooms available for booking on trip.com)
TV keeps disconnecting too
At this price point, suggest staying at D’hotel @ tiong bahru instead. Better service and not stingy.
