It was my first time to Izhevsk, and to the hotel in June of 2018 ( World Cup ) I feel that the hotel, and staff are deserving of a very positive review. I stayed for a fortnight in a suite, and was pleasantly surprised with my room, furnishings, and cleanliness. The beds are very comfortable, ample cupboard space, and large bathroom with toiletries. Room service is daily, and they do a fine job indeed. I also had clothes sent to their in-house laundry service, and was always impressed with their service. The best part of this hotel is undoubtedly the staff! Any business, or organisation are only as good as the people that represent it. And I must say they are a credit to the Park Inn group. From the front desk, restaurants, spa, gift shop, cleaning, room service, car park, bar, were all very obliging with a good level of English. I was very spoilt for choice with the in house dining, outdoor café ( summer ) and the wonderful German themed restaurant! I have travelled extensively over the world, and the Chef and his staff make some of the tastiest food I’ve ever experienced! Not to mention the large selection of beers and drinks. The last night of my stay, Elena and some staff from Brauplatz ( German Bar ) had organised a small gift for me, and a group photo together! The kindness was greatly appreciated. I will be returning at the years end and look forward to returning to my 2nd home in Russia, and hope to some again some of the wonderful staff that made such an impression on me.

Because I read reviews from this site, I didn't expect much for my 6 nights stay. But when I signed in the hotel, the first impression was very positive. The staff was polite and helpful although I don't speak perfect russian. I was given a room at sixt (the top) floor. The floor was renovated and all though the room was small, it was cozy. It had everything I needed. At first the A/C of the room gave me some error codes. I checked the codes from the net and it seemed to have an conflict between the outter module and the inner module. So when I requested the A/C for cooling, it didn't work. So after the first night I asked for repair. It was only after second night when they actually corrected the problem. So I had two short nights, because after 6 it was impossible to continue sleeping, because of the trafic noise from outside an the sun starting to heat up the room. When the problem got corrected, it was very comfortable to sleep the rest of the nights. The windows are really good, so when they are closed, not too much noise comes to the room. Also I red complains about the corridor lightning and breakfast from this site. The corridor lightning is power saving, so it lights up as you walk the corridor further. So I didn't have any problems with it. Also in my opinnion the breakfast was good. Actually you can find much worse cases in many russian hotels. In my opinnion if you can't find anything to eat with that buffet board, it's actually your own fault. There was even two differend kind of porridge every day. Oatmeal porridge was every day, but the other porridge varied. Also there was also at least two different kind of salads, which also varied every day. And together with this there was a lot of other choises from hot dishes to bread, pastry, youghurt and so on. Also when I left the last morning very early, before the breakfast time, they provided me with a "lunch box", with apple, youghurt, pre-filled toast with cheese and ham, 0,5l of water, waffle and if I remember right, there was also a small juice jar. Maybe the only thing to complain besides the A/C problem would be that after the first night, they didn't clean my room. All other days they did. But actually this was OK with me, because the only thing to do there would have been to make my bed and empty the trash.

This hotel is, for a lack of a better word, picturesque. Once inside, you'll feel transported a few centuries back with its think wooden walls, stairs, tables... pretty much everything is wood. We arrived here (some friends and I) to have dinner and get to know the hotel. My mates told me: "You have to come to this place, is extremely traditional... there is nothing more Russian than this. Welcome to Udmurtia" As you walk in, you feel like you are visiting one of these fortifications of the middle ages, but it feels so cozy. Once in the restaurant, everything turned into a blur for a few minutes while my mates were ordering everything. Two minutes later, the waitress walked in with a dark liquor, pour it into small glasses and give it to everyone. Shortly after a variety of sour, pastries and other dishes started to come in. For a moment, I grew extremely worried the food was going to be very expensive but my troubles faded away after another shot of the dark liquor followed by a second bottle of a red wish sweet liquor and some fish. I know it might sound the liquor talking at the time, but I felt extremely welcomed with my colleagues, sitting in that big room that is the dinning hall. Throughout all this time, the hotel did not have a guest (which would've made it very uncomfortable for them as we were very noisy), which prompted some of the stuff to walk into the hall and join us for a few minutes. Although, now that I think about it... the walls are very think and we were well isolated from the sounds outside of the hotel (some birds, the river and the sporadic car passing by). I wish I could write down the dishes we had, but we had so many and everything was very good. Highly recommended as a restaurant. I bet the service as a hotel is equally good.

I never thought I was going to be visiting a city such as Izhevsk yet life surprises you in unpredictable ways... And this hotel surprised me in a way I could not foresee (good way). The how I got to this hotel matters for you to understand why I was surprised by this hotel. As part of a business trip, my Russian colleagues told me I had to stay at a different hotel but that was practically impossible the first week, so I looked around and this hotel was recommended by one of my friends, but he warned me "they do not speak English. I will go with you and get things sorted." On arrival, the receptionist communicated with my friend and got my room ready. I tried to ask few questions as she did not appear to dominate English. That day was peaceful. The hotel is located just behind the administration of the city, not too far from restaurants, bank and other facilities... believe me when I tell you the city is not big and everything can be reached by foot. Even though the hotel isn't in the city centre, is located pretty close to some of the main lines of trams and buses. The hotel also has a fantastic sauna, a small pool and a gym that barely anybody uses. Rooms are big and comfortable and you have a wardrobe that you can use to keep all your clothes, suits and what have you. Breakfast usually consists of a wide selection of bread, Russian salad, tomatoes, cucumber, cheese and ham, yogourt, milk, drinking yogourt and a selection of dishes a-la-carte (pretty much any variation of egg, pancakes, crepes, etc. Every morning I came down to have my breakfast and even though the staff did not speak English, they brought a menu that had an English subtitle and you picked from there. I honestly cannot say communication was an issue, after a few tries you learn to say "spasivo" "dobro utra!" and other phrases. Dinner was pretty good in general, the menu has a wide variety of Russian dishes, all of them well prepared and delicious. Finally, the internet service. Is free, is protected and is good. I had no issues with the connectivity nor the range. It just worked and this was extremely important as I was connected all the time, sending and receiving data (and I am not talking just a few emails... I had video conferences, pushing and receiving files, all of it). I liked this hotel to be completely honest and I highly recommend it. It was more affordable than the next hotel I went to and I received a service a lot better.

The staff was very kind and helpful despite language barriers, didn't speak in English at all, only in Russian. The room was modern and clean and the bed was very comfortable, but the courtyard was iced and slippery, they didn't care about snow clearance. The tram stop and the supermarket are in about 200m.
