First time in Cyprus, I never wanted to come again. It's desolate, nothing fun, the seaside is okay, the commercial street is poor. Talk about the hotel, because it is close to the customer, so book this hotel, although not at the beach. But the distance is also very close, walking about 2 kilometers to the seaside tourist area. The hotel is ok, but it should be soon after the renovation, the room smells a little, I am sensitive to the smell, so I opened the window to sleep. No food around the hotel, only a supermarket. Ice cream shop. The hotel is nice and clean. The network is average, and the signal on the bed is very poor, even Ctrip cannot open it. Breakfast is good, everything, can meet nutritional needs. If you go to the airport, you can ask the hotel to call travel express for 13 euros. Pick up at the hotel and then take you to the airport. Otherwise, take a taxi for 10 euros to the station, and the bus costs 9 euros, which is very frustrating. Try to live in high floors and have a good view.

I stayed at the hostel more than one week. From the first minutes I realized that this is the place that any tourist would be happy with. The hostel is located in the old part of the city, close to historical sites, beautiful streets, as well as shops and bus stops (also to other cities like paphos, larnaca and nicosia). Rooms are very clean, on kitchen with free tea and coffee. What is important for me is the fact that in the hostel I met interesting guys with whom we keep in touch to this day. If you have any questions, the owner Petros will always help you. This is the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Highly recommend!

Me and my partner stayed in the Junior Suite with Sea View. The room was perfectly clean and we loved the cool window to the bathroom from the bedroom! The view was incredible, we even woke up at 5AM just to see the sunrise. We had dinner and brunch at Jam Restaurant which was definitely a great experience. It felt like fine dining as such a great price. We would definitely recommend to try as much as you can! The only reason I can't give this a 5 star rating is because we felt the AC was a bit loud but perhaps that was because it was working so hard to cool the room! I am sure it will exceed all expectations and we will definitely be visiting again.

We were on our hunt for a nice sandwich and a coffee for lunch (not an easy task in Cyprus) and decided to visit this hotel. The setting is beautiful and every member of staff was polite, friendly and attentive. We were offered only the brunch menu, after we had asked for a ham and cheese toastie and were told it was unavailable. We ordered a club sandwich (Chicken and Lettuce Under Bacon) and decided to share as we thought we may be served too much. Any greasy spoon catering for manual labourers would have been proud of what was delivered to us. It comprised of three thick slabs of brioche, two fried eggs, two slices of processed ham coated with melted cheese, three rashers of bacon, a lettuce leaf and sliced tomato. The whole thing was about 9 inches high and definately not fine dining standard. I managed almost a half of mine and my husband about three-quarters of his. In other words three-quarters of this was more than we could manage and it was meant for one person. The bacon was crispy and tasty, and the chips were really nice (did I mention it was served with chips, just in case there was not enough?). However, the ham and cheese were not only unnecessary but not very nice. The coffee was enjoyable. This place has a lovely setting, so if you just want a nice cup of coffee in a peaceful, quiet environment, I would recommend it.

Booked 2 rooms for our family (2 adults and 2 children, 5 and 3 year-old) and my in-laws and then after seeing the reviews here I was closed to cancelling the bookings. Really glad I gave this place the benefit of the doubt. Since I live in Cyprus and have an office close to this place, I already knew that the location, proximity to the sea and the Municipal Park and the general facilities around are very good. So after encountering very attentive customer service from the first contact and seeing the cleanness of the rooms (no cockroaches, no funny smell in the room, etc) my mind was put at rest. Each room has everything you require for a self-catering accommodation. I guess all the negative reviews that can be found here have been addressed by the management. We are already planning to return, well done Eden Beach Appartmets team!

[Nightclub-like music can't sleep for one night] If you haven't lived in such a bad hotel, you should definitely avoid staying in Cyprus. You can't rest at all. At the time of check-in, the front desk staff was relatively cold, and no one assisted in taking the luggage. When checking out, they also pushed the baby carriage and 2 pieces of luggage to check out. On the check-in day is Saturday, no one told the restaurant on the first floor that there will be deafening dancing music from 9:00 in the night. The music will not stop until 2:30 in the middle of the night. The location is ok, the old hotel facilities are still acceptable, if you are also playing until two or three in the middle of the night before going back to sleep, you can consider... The same price in Limassol has too many other hotels to choose from.

I don't want to write a really long review, so will keep it short and sweet. Which exactly describes my 4 nights here with my wife and 4 year old daughter. I'll start with the things we loved; The welcome nibbles in our room on arrival, the bottled water which was replenished daily (multiple bottles) was great. We liked the products left on the bed for turndown, my daughter loved putting the facemask on. The room was fantastic, and housekeeping are doing a fabulous job. My daughter loved the mini dressing gown and slippers and from the amount of hotels we have stayed in this is a first! It is the comfiest bed ever with great quality (what felt like feather?) pillows. Considering this is out of season, which means less people- the breakfast buffet was fresh and constantly being watched by the chefs, nothing looked like it had been sat for a while and the quality of the produce was excellent. The orange juice was delicious. My daughter has serious allergies to milk and egg and I emailed the hotel to make them aware before our stay and everywhere we dined the staff seemed to already have known, which is again fantastic. Kids park excellent and great facilities. The staff are excellent here and always seemed genuinely happy to be working in such a hotel. Truly makes the difference staying somewhere where the employees are happy. A few names to give extra credit to were Nina who served us for breakfast, ensuring my daughter had soya milk poured direct from the bottle to avoid cross contamination with the one on the buffet. The waitress in the Cypriot restaurant with short hair (sorry didn't catch your name) again whom already knew about my daughter's allergies Georgia on the door to lanes for breakfast always smiling. The pool attendants making sure the indoor pool rules were adhered to and weren't scared to tell the odd child to keep the noise down. Alot of hotels seem to be scared of doing this so nice to see other guests are thought about here. Overall we WILL be back. (It was supposed to be a short review but there were so many good things I had to mention :D )

Have just got back from staying in the Marianna apartments for ten days. When we arrived it was 1.30 in the morning after an unexpected delay in our flight from Manchester. Costas was there to greet us still welcoming even though we had woke him up. He took us to our apartment and told us how things worked, air con etc. We had stayed there last year and had the same apartment this time. Everything you would need to make a meal is there. If you needed anything else then you only have to ask Helen or Costas. Housekeeping staff came in every day except Sundays. All staff we met always said good morning or hello. We had breakfast every morning. You could have cereals , fruit etc. There was plenty to choose from. Costs kept reminding us if there was anything else we would like then just ask. The apartment is in a quiet area so no problems sleeping at night.. We are hopefully going back in March. Thank you so much Helen and Costas for helping to make our holiday relaxing and enjoyable.

We had a wedding to attend to, at the nearby luxurious Crown Plaza hotel, but not being able to afford to stay there the night, we chose this budget hotel a five minute walk away instead. It's more of a hostel really although you do get to have your own one bedroom appartment with sitting area, bedroom with balcony and bathroom on the plus side. The lobby is old fashioned and a bit shabby but offers free Wifi .The hotel is mainly run by Russian staff from what my husband and I gathered. We paid 55 euros on Bed and Breakfast basis. There is a swimming pool, a bar area and a restaurant as well as a small outdoor sitting area. Our room was 501 on the fifth floor. It was quiet and spacy with TV and kettle for tea making if you wished although none was used. The a/c unit wouldn't work, the balcony doors wouldn't close tight, and the double bed was really small for my tall husband ,with the top sheet being so small we couldn't cover ourselves at night. As for the dim lighting, not convenient if you want to read a book or put make up on at the dressing table to get ready to go out for example. But good lighting in the bathroom. The hotel also has a free parking area. Breakfast is continental but while you're having your coffee and toast you are served a plate with cheese, ham omelette and salad which was a good surprise. I would definitely recommend the place for young people on a tight budget who are used to staying at hostels around the world. Compared to them this might have much more to offer. I only chose it for the reasons I stated.

We had a great week at the Nissiblu resort, a one-year-old beach resort at one of the nicest locations of Cyprus. Stylish, interesting design, public areas always very clean. The staff friendly and professional. I have to mention that it was the last week before closing ahead of schedule. Due to Covid-19 the hotel had to close on Nov. 15 as no more guests were coming. Mediterranean Restaurant (buffet) was open for breakfast with a wide offer, only Theros all day dining bistro (a la carte) was open for lunch and dinner. Which is totally fine considering the low occupancy, no buffet makes sense. The salads were the best part of their menu, but also burgers and meat were fine. The portions are large! I expected some more dishes of fresh fish. The room was spacious although not huge and we got an upgrade to the Nissi Beach Sea side with wonderful sunset views and a good balcony. Pool area quite empty and always well kept, also the pool and spa area. Outdoor pool with cool water temperature, even the sea was warmer. Nice and friendly cats on the property, almost like pets and a nice bonus and experience. Very friendly. From all great staff I want to mention Mrs Fotini as extremely friendly and professional waiter at both restaurants. What a charming person with attention to detail. We would like to return and say thank you for a great week in these special times. We felt safe and comfortable.

I picked this hotel based a lot of the reviews from others on the site. Just for context, I am an avid business and leisure traveller that has been on each continent / too many cities to count and been an experienced traveler for the last 35+ years of my life. I will say this hotel is okay. It is a bit from the city center which is not a bad thing. About a 10-15 min max. Close to Love Bridge and the sculpture park. There are buses out to Cavo Greco or you can get taxi to any spot. Realizing this is the off season for Cyprus this hotel worked out fine but, did not leave an impression on me or make me want to recommend it to friends/family. The receptionist who checked me in was very kind but when my passport was left with her during check out (first time in my life) and I didn’t realize it until 2 hours later - they never rang up to the room or when she saw me leave about an hour after checking in that they still had my passport! Talk about extreme panic! The hotel is okay cleanliness wise - it is run down a bit and could take a face lift in the lobby and many other areas. The keys are clunky old style with an actual key and this metal slot to turn on the lights, etc. The room itself is “fairly clean” but, could use improvement with replenishment of toiletries without asking. I do have to give points for the cleaning each day - like clock work. The buffet breakfast is nice and sufficient. I would recommend that the staff greet each customer - it was very hit and miss. Again, realize this is the off season - I can not imagine if it was full season - you may never get anyone’s attention. Overall a decent stay but, nothing specifically amazed me. Check out was okay - all that was asked of me, “you used nothing” and no offer to get a taxi or how my stay was...again early morning but, with Ayia Napa being the hot spot it is during regular season you would they would still step it up. The gym is good and the ladies at the spa are extremely nice. Cyprus itself is beautiful and I will return but, not to Napa Mermaid.

We cannot possibly give this hotel any less than 5 stars considering how well it is running during this crisis. It is under occupancy and the area is mostly closed down for the season but we feel they’re doing an incredible job. We paid a modest price for this week and we cannot fault the accommodation. It is well laid out, easy access to the beautiful pool area and superb beach - the water is crystal clear! The hotel is very clean and you get free beach towels, air con and safe in the room. I am shocked at reviews about poor food because we find the food superb. We spent a week at a 5* hotel in Turkey in August which had more choice of food than you could imagine yet we think the food quality is better here. Everything is cooked exceptionally well and there is a lot of choice. Each day there has been several meat choices as well as fish and vegetarian options. The desserts are beautiful too. It is also great to be able to get a fuller sized beer from the bar during the day rather than the mini cups you often get. We’ve been very lucky with the weather (28deg most days) and enjoyed a wander down to the square on a night where a few bars remain open - live music is good and it’s lovely to enjoy a normal lively atmosphere. The only gripe we have is the room size. I think our room is for 2 people and 2 temporary beds have been added for our children and it’s fairly cramped. But, again, I’m not complaining due to the situation and the excellent price we paid but if we were visiting during normal times, I’d not be happy with this. As mentioned in a previous review, the water features are off (not sure why) and the pool is freezing but the sea is like a bath and makes up for it. We also booked into the 2 restaurants and weren’t notified by reception that these are closed (you’re served the meal in the main buffet restaurant instead) and found out when noticing the places closed for the season and fellow holidaymakers mentioned their experience. We have cancelled these as the buffet restaurant is nice enough and we only booked for a change of scenery. Overall, we’re enjoying a very safe break away from the doom and gloom at home and would happily return in the future. Thank you Melissi Beach.

Have to say for a 4 star with a 4.5 score on Tripadviser this was a very poor hotel. I will explain further and point out the good points along with the bad. We arrived missing one suitcase as it had been picked up by another passenger on our flight, luckily we were reunited with it approx four hours after arriving but still gave my wife time to go shopping for additional clothes. Poor information given at reception about facilities at hotel for example not told we needed towel cards so when we arrived at the towel shed the following day we had to return to reception and pay 10 euro deposit to get the towel cards so wasting time. No porters anywhere and given vague directions to our room, number 110 which was pretty small, could only fit two tiny single beds, a desk and one chair in the room along with built in wardrobe and a small balcony where it was impossible to do any sunbathing. Bed was spongy but comfy for a small person, anybody who was slightly larger like me you felt that you were falling in to a hole. Bathroom was of an acceptable standard with high marks for the shower, good temperature and power, good amount of shampoos and body creams. Disappointed that you had to pay 20 euros for the week for the safety deposit box. Room was very clean and bed was made every day with actual cleaning seen once during the week but could have been more. Cleaning outside on the landing was poor, sand seen on our first day on the landing was still there on our last. Lifts were available to all floors and these usually worked without problems although I did get stuck in one lift for awhile. Nothing to do at all during the day as there was no amination apart from pool which was cold but it was November, table tennis table and 1 euro a go pool table,, I can confirm that the pool table was hogged by the staff (Bobbi) and an older man for two afternoons. Lots of sun beds and didn't have to reserve once during the week with good quality pads. Lovely bay called Sandy Bay due to the quality of the sand and hotel opened out onto the beach. Drinks for an all inclusive were poor apart from cocktails where you probably had 12 to choose from, freshly made but made in the glasses rather than mixers, cold beer ran out on the Friday at the pool bar, adequate wine from a tetra pack and good quality coffees and teas. Food was good with some good tasty dishes, didn't cater well for vegetarians, breakfast was poor with the food only luke warm so threw it away , puddings were very good with a good range, presentations of dishes was none existent and meals were in a buffet style with hot on left side and cold on right, never seemed to run out and the Chinese Style Spare Ribs were excellent as is common with these hotels dishes at later meals incorporated ingredients from previous meals but we at no point had upset stomachs. The setting for the main restaurant was more of a High School cafeteria which was fitting as on the Friday a load of Cypriot 16 year olds turned u

Stayed here with family in August 2019 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were on the second floor, looking out on the play area. However, we never saw anyone playing here. The hotel is situated in a very good spot - close to the main strip and harbour, both lovely. The room was lovely and roomy, with lots of storage. We had a separate bedroom with 3 single beds in it, and the floor area in between the beds was massive. Lots of storage, cupboards and drawers in the bedroom as well as the main living area (which also had a king/queen sized bed). The kitchen was adequate, however the fridge was locked, and if you wanted to use it you had to pay, which I didn't agree with. I have never come across this before. There is a safe in the room, which you have to pay for. One evening we messed up the code and locked ourselves out of it, but a quick call to reception and she came back up with us and got us back in - thank you! The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, albeit one lady who didn't seem so welcoming or warm. The pool area was quite small, but never got crowded and we always found sunbeds, even though it was in peak season. I think maybe because most people went to the other pool at the sister hotel as that was always full. No entertainment at this pool, I'm not sure about the other pool as we didn't use it. Evening entertainment was okay, some good shows. Breakfast was at the hotel, in the bar area, which was okay. Lunch and dinner was at the sister hotel, which was lovely. The sister hotel is across the road (over a crossing, but it's not a busy road), about 1-2 mins walk away. Snacks are in the bar area. the individual snack was more like a small meal, and it was lovely too. We were able to keep our room on our last day as we had a late flight. We had to call in at reception in the morning of our last day to see if we could keep it on. There was a fee for this. I would recommend this hotel, and Ayia Napa.

We opted for this hotel as it is a 'beach' hotel. You can indeed see the beach from the hotel but there is no access from the hotel- you have to leave the hotel grounds and walk down the main road to get to the beach. The beach itself is run by a beach club combined with the municipality therefore standard charges apply- there are no beds reserved for this hotel. The hotel next door however, has beds there and direct access- this an actual beach hotel. Ok the other places. The rooms are nice and fairly spacious but with very limited in terms of storage. We had an inland view which was actually the alley between the two hotels. The title of this review refers to the major issue which we had at this hotel - it was a local place for local people. By all accounts we thought this was to do with the covid issues - however it seemed too engrained in the way the hotel operated to be a new trend. Locals, often with their whole family, frequented the hotel pool everyday of of stay, taking up the sunbeds and umbrellas ( which were in short supply due to covid regs) meaning that tourists, at times, could not get a bed by the pool. They were also waited on around the pool - seemingly as they were paying cash, which meant that the tourists who were AI were left queuing waiting to be served. As aforementioned the visitors seemed to be treated to a much higher standard than any other guests, even extending to Greek music being played throughout the day at the poolside - seemingly on repeat. I have stayed on many places here and even listen to the local radio and even that plays a variety of different music. The final straw for us was when we walked in from a night out to find that the barrier to the 'guest only' car park was lifted and the place was over run with double parked vehicles. The carpark itself was often full as normally the guests would not have cars, plus the day trippers filled any spare spots. We mentioned it to the staff inside and initially got a look of 'mind your own' followed by the excuse that - "it's the bank holiday we always open up plus they will all be gone in a few days.'?! Other hotels offered entertainment- here there was none. Other hotels did not open their car park as a free for all but here it seemed policy. As a resident but none Cypriot I felt like a second class citizen in this hotel. No rules were abided by in the pool area ( people smoking and eating in the actual pool and glass bottles in the pool - despite the fact that the AI guests only being given tiny plastic cups.) Finally the AI drinks were a joke, the local spirits they are using are the absolute cheapest and lowest % possible and the menu was highly restricted, simple cocktails which were priced the same as those on the menu were not included. I would not go back to this hotel even if it was free just because of how poorly it was managed. The upside is that the bar and wiring on staff were wonderful and very attentive.
