We were pleasantly surprised on arrival at the Carlton because we had read some of the negative reviews and were expecting a poor experience. Yes, the rooms are very dated regarding decor but the bed was very comfortable. There was no unpleasant smell in our room and we were allowed straight into it on arrival although it was only 9 am. This was ideal because we had had a long night flight. We found the staff extremely helpful and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff in the breakfast dining room were very attentive, constantly asking if we needed anything else. There was a wide range of hot and cold dishes and the hot dishes changed daily . We enjoyed a meal in the Indian "Spice" restaurant on site and prices were reasonable. We particularly enjoyed the biryani and the entertainment during the evening The rooftop pool area is very nice and clean and constantly attended. The location of the hotel is not ideal. It is on a busy main road with no views really. However there is a free shuttle bus to the Mall of the Emirates (not to be confused with the Dubai Mall at the Burj Khalifa) and the metro. There are plenty of local supermarkets and cafes just behind the hotel 100 metres away. We found the drinks in cafes and hotels generally very expensive in Dubai, especially the alcohol, but the Carlton was offering some alcohol inclusive deals with a meal. On the whole we had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

The villa is as good as it's pictures....huge, spacious n awesome. As I read in all reviews, Mena is the man to approach..he's a one man army and all too willing to meet your different requirements. He allowed us to check in early and check out late. Provided us with extra mattresses at no extra cost. The villa is very well maintained. The bbq area is very nice to use specially in this weather. We were a group of 15 and made use of all kitchen amenities. Will surely visit again. Thanks Mena for all your support and guidance.

The hotel is just behind the MOE shopping mall, within walking distance (don’t walk in the hot summer). The room space is relatively large compared to the same level. The price is very advantageous during the epidemic. It is an old hotel. You can see some details. I came out with a sense of age, but the overall experience is okay. I didn’t receive my booking form when I arrived at the front desk, but Ctrip and the front desk staff quickly solved the problem, and refunded me when I had pledged a hundred dirhams. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar. I didn’t go to eat but the price was quite reasonable. Looking for an ordinary, cost-effective hotel can consider this. The biggest advantage is that it is close to the mall and there are more small restaurants nearby.

Stayed here to be close to work one night only and will only ever be the one night only. Good point is the room is large. Bad points: The man at reception was not helpful. Spent half his time on the phone while checking in. Paid for a deluxe double which according to the agoda listing had kitchenette and a washing machine. Nope had a kettle and a little fridge. Spoke to reception and his answer was speak to I played hunt the plugs to charge my phone and laptop. One behind the rotten tv unit and the other next to the main door. The view is a building site. Asked reception man where the iron one. He said in the wardrobe with the ironing board. Told him there wasn’t one and I’m still waiting the following morning for one! People bang door at night and to top it off the balcony is shared with the neighbor next door. No partition. So at 11pm at night in the dark the man next door was on our balcony with his friends. As a solo female that is very unnerving. For the money I’ve stayed in much better hotels in al barsha. My opinion is look elsewhere. I stay in Dubai every week for work and this one is certainly in the bin it bucket list

I choose Abidos Hotel appartements for 3 main reasons : price (~59$/night), size (~1000 sq ft) and kitchen with washing machine 🤣 (needed to wash my own clothes I don’t trust anyone else doing them). I originally booked for 3 days I expected for 3 more excellent for the price the location is prime for going either to burj khalifa side or burj al Arab side. Supermarkets at walkable distance, pharmacies, 24/7 front desk customer care & I got a 65AED voucher to use for food and breuvages. Ohh and... the pool was sparkling clean honestly and sun shined all day no shadows from taller buildings. THANK YOU a especially to Jessica at front desk she was swift, quick and extremely professional at her job!

I stayed at Mena Plaza Al Barsha Hotel in Dubai in March 2020. The Hotel is located near (just 5 minute walk from) the Mall of the Emirates which is convenient to get to the Beach ot any sights from. There is a bus stop and a Metro station nearby. I’d also like to mention the staff which was always kind, helpful and absolutely friendly! Especially in the dining area I’d like to specify Joemer, Melanie and the chef Raj (for delicious meal). I recommend the Hotel for your staying, whether you are visiting on business or for pleasure.

We stayed at the apartment as a family of 4 in September 2018. This was our second time staying here, we stayed here 2 years ago when we last visited Dubai. We got to our apartment and check in was smooth, Utam helped to take our luggage upstairs and offered our family small cartons of cold water which was just what we needed after our trip from the airport. Apartment was clean, spacious and tidy. Another added benefit was we had a washing machine which was useful for Dubai heat. We were provided with tea, coffee and sugar daily. Housekeeping was carried out everyday and it was so nice to come back to a clean tidy apartment after a long day of exploring. All housekeeping staff were polite, hardworking and courteous. Distance to mall of the emirates 5 minutes by taxi (We used to take a taxi due to my mum's health). Jumeirah is 10 minutes ride by car. Location is perfect, every time we left hotel, taxi would be waiting. Since coming back, I have recommended this apartment to friends and family and persuading them to book apartments when vising Dubai. Special mention to Utam who is very hard working, polite and considerate. Thanks to the team for a great stay. Get booking everyone!!

Stayed for 7 nights, it was a vacation trip and birthday celebration. Hotel staff surprised us with a birthday cake. Reception team , Denys and Racquel , and others are very helpful. Room is clean, has all necessary stuff ( coffee, tea, water refill daily , hairdryer is there, etc) . Housekeeping does a good job. Breakfast is fine, good variety, including fresh fruits and vegetables. Chef can make nice omelettes or eggs on your order. Waiters in the buffet are very attentive. Three times a day there is a Shuttle bus to the beach next to Burj al arab. Driver is friendly:) Hotel’s location is also very convenient. Thanks to the team for your hard work.

The location is very good, shopping is convenient, you can cook your own food, wash clothes, and the home is almost the same, there are too few people cleaning. The facilities are a bit old, and it has been a hotel for more than 10 years. I have lived 10 years ago.

Business Bay
The male staff in the evening shift is very friendly, very patient, always smiling, and the service is very good! It rained outside and I also borrowed an umbrella for me. The room was great, my room was on the top floor, there was a balcony in the room and the bed was very comfortable! The location is very good, just in the city center, to various attractions, shopping and shopping, the surrounding restaurants are very convenient, it should be the best hotel I have ever stayed on this trip! If you have the chance to go to Berlin again, you have to choose this hotel!

Very enjoyable trip! The Rove Hotel is 3 subway stops away from the airport's T3 terminal. You can see it from Exit 4 of the deira city center station, and walk 200 meters. The hotel environment is simple and clean. 3-400 meters to the south of the hotel is the deira city center shopping center, where there is a Carrefour supermarket in addition to shopping and dining. About 500 meters to the west of the hotel is the Wenzhou Supermarket, the largest local Chinese supermarket chain in Dubai. The dining area is on the first floor. There is everything you need to do with noodles, rice, skewers, skewers, and barbecue. We strongly recommend kebabs, 9.99 dirhams per skewers (tax not included) , A big skewer, grilled very well! There is no need to consider eating hotel meals when staying at the Rover Hotel. There are plenty of choices for eating in the nearby shopping mall and Wen Chao. Since the subway station is nearby, it is very convenient to go to Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, Gold Souk and other places where you need to check in. I haven't taken a taxi in Dubai for 16 days, and all the subways are fixed. After getting off the plane, buy a subway silver card at the T3 terminal station and recharge it. If there is still left when you leave Dubai, you can go to the subway counter to refund the money. The hospital is 200 meters from the entrance of the hotel. Nucleic acid testing is also super convenient, and reports can be issued within 24 hours. There is an open-air swimming pool on the M floor of the hotel (from 8 am to 8 pm) and a 24-hour gym. It's okay to relax and exercise in the hotel as well. All in all, Rove Hotel is cost-effective and very convenient. Very pleasant staying experience!

Sheikh Zayed / DIFC
Stayed for 8 nights at the property after searching a lot for an accommodation within a reasonable budget. The rooms are nice and very well maintained, comfortable beds and pillows, basic amenities, water, tea, coffee, kettle, hair dryer, shampoo and iron & sewing kit upon request. Business bay metro station is 10 minute walk and the hotel is pretty close to Dubai mall. There's an Egyptian restaurant right around the corner that has good reviews but I haven't managed to try it and a 24/7 supermarket within a walking distance right near the metro station. Check in/out was very smooth. Very good Wifi in the rooms too. Breakfast is good and filling. Expect to wait a bit for a taxi but that was quite rare, normally taxis are right in front of the hotel but you can order online anyway. Given the rate, friendly service and location, I'd definitely stay here next time.

Al Barsha
Pros: hotel in a good location, rooms are clean, and morning staff are very good at taking care of the need of the guest Cons: night shift Supervisor Ian and front desk girl Wilma are terrible!!! First, the girl at the front desk Wilma who is a Filipina gave me the wrong direction to the 24 Baqala after I have confirmed with her for the 2nd time the direction, first left no second left ya. She said, yes. Baqala was no where to be found. I had to circle around the building to find it. After, I complained to her manager Ian and told him she lied to me! He said, no she didn’t! I said, what!? Are you calling me a liar! And it went down hill from there I went down stairs and yelled at him and cursed. I told him you don’t know how to do your job. First, thing you should’ve said is, I apologize sir! Won’t happen again. She will receive better training. Instead you escalated the situation. Telling me She isn’t a lair, which indirectly calling me a lair. I told him you are a shitty manager! He doesn’t know how to do his job and he covered for the girl because she is from the Philippines and he is from the Philippines. Terrible manager and shitty Staff every once in a while you run into them!!! Terrible shitty staff!!!

It’s an awesome stay. Realized on the last day that the sound from people dropping heavy metals on the floor of the gym was irritating. So the 13th floor under the gym is a no no next time. I’ll definitely stay there again. Close to the train and good buffet.
