hotel was ok. decent value for money. the public transport is far away and taxis are expensive the breakfast was alright and had local and Western foods. the room was small but normal size for Japan. Kumamoto is on the Shinkansen Line of I had known this in advance I would have stayed in Fukuoka and taken a train down in less than 1 hour.

First of all, become aquainted with the idea of "business hotel". This is a place to sleep, not to chill in the room. Sleeping areas are smaller than American by a lot. Ours was a mattress on the floor (better than a futon!!) .Bathrooms are also tiny, but very serviceable. Space for luggage is "creative". That said, this is a fantastic business hotel. Our room was clean and bright, with a view of Suizenji Park out the window. The bathroom, though small, had a tub which my wife was overjoyed about (last place didnt have one). Staff does not speak much English, but they bent over backwards trying to help us figure out the AC control. There are onsite washers and dryers along with free wifi. The breakfast was to die for. Typical Japanese cuisine and lots of it. All of it freshly prepared. Well worth the additional cost to the room. Which brings me to the cost. This hotel is priced right. If you are looking for a place to lay your head while exploring Kumamoto and really don't need all the "extras", this is your place.

The size of the hotel is not that much huge but the size of the room is large enough to stay 2 adults + 2 kids. Breakfast and dinner here were great in Japanese style not available with western style. Recommend you to have dinner here one time. There is Suizenji Park which is traditional Japanese park suitable for a walk in the morning but there is admission fee about 2dollar.If you have a baggage, we recommend a taxi to visit the hotel. It is approximately 10 to 15 minutes from Kumamoto Station or Kumamoto Castle. The fare seems to be about 1500 yen roughly which is about 15dollars. If you want spend classical Japanese culture in Kumamoto, this is the place.

The hotel is in a great location, a 5-minute walk from Kumamoto Station. There is a city tram near the hotel, and it is convenient to go to Kumamoto Castle and other attractions. Because the hotel is mainly for business trips, the room space is small, but it should be there. Breakfast is traditional Japanese cuisine, it’s OK, it’s ok to eat. If you like Japanese materials, you should be satisfied. As a hotel that is over one night, the price is quite high.

Hotel location in the alleys The first time I went to Kumamoto, it was estimated that it was not easy to find. The room was not big. The bed was tatami-style. The hot water bottle was dirty. But the restaurant on the first floor is really seven of the most cost-effective sashimi 990 yen equivalent to 60 yuan. The country can only eat four or five sashimi. The front desk and the restaurant waiter are super friendly. I can't eat ice, morning service. Health specially gave me hot milk

It is ideal as a base for sightseeing not only in Kumamoto city but also in Kumamoto prefecture. Located on the 9th to 12th floors of Amu Plaza Kumamoto, you can enjoy the cityscape of Kumamoto. A restaurant where you can enjoy dishes made with carefully selected ingredients from all over Kyushu, including Kumamoto, a fitness room where light shines through the skylight, and a large communal bath with a garden where you can feel the nature. Doing. Large guest rooms with an average of 27 m2 (wall core area) that image the nature of Kumamoto. All rooms have separate baths or shower booths and toilets, and are fully equipped with mirroring TVs, Simmons beds, Imabari towels, etc. to ensure a comfortable stay for our guests.

It's a hostel which perfectly partitioned so you get like a room of your own with a bed (choose either lower or upper deck) and a locker. There's no door in the room just curtains at the entrance and your bed. You can expect noises from inconsiderate guests and automatic door (my first room was near the entrance so I requested to move) Toiletries and PJs are free to grab at the bathrooms which are separate for men and women. All showers are private with a spacious dry area. Location is just opposite to Kumamoto JR and tram station. Very convenient to travel around. There's also a bar inside the hotel which welcomes non-guests. I think it's a bit unsafe as you don't need a key or anything to get into the cabin area.

I supposed Kumamoto isn’t quite a popular destination for one to stay over. I booked and stayed with this hotel for 3 nights and it was good. The price is reasonable and so is the size of the room. Enough for 2 to move around with cabin size luggage. The bed was surprisingly slightly bigger than expected. We got a queen size bed as compared to double size bed. The toilet was quite spacious too for Japanese standard. The room is clean and overall very satisfied. It is also walking distance to the bus terminal (about 5 mins or so. Btw the bus terminal is in sakuramachi mall so you can’t see it from the outside. It is located at the entrance level whilst bus ticket station is on level 2). Across the bus terminal there is 7E and Family Mart (further in compared to 7E). You can take the tram to Keitokuko-mae and cross the road, walk straight ahead and you’ll see the hotel. Less than 5 mins walk.

The lack of information for drivers had me doing circles around the building a few times looking for an entrance to the lobby. There are no visible signs from the street either which made it even harder. We finally gave up, parked the car and search for the hotel by foot. If you are driving, refer to my picture with directions. Note that there is no ground floor lobby to drop off your luggage. Best option (in my opinion) is to park your car across the street from Dormy Inn, walk towards Dormy Inn, and then enter the bus terminal's pedestrian sliding door (directly across Dormy Inn's reception). There'll be a lift near the end of the corridor that takes you to the 2nd floor. After exiting the lift, turn right and you should see the hotel sign. Take the hotel lift up to the lobby which is on the 14th floor. The hotel does not offer free parking but can give a voucher for discounted overnight parking (¥1100 per night) if you ask the lobby staff. You will need to pass your parking ticket and voucher to the car park's office (ground floor next to payment machines). They will validate your ticket and then ask you to pay at one of the machines. If you are walking in from the front of the building (as shown in photo), enter from the main entrance and take the escalator to the 2nd floor, keep walking straight until you pass Family Mart, and then turn left. You should see the hotel sign from here. If entering from other entrances, just follow the signs on the 2nd floor.

The room was well cleaned. The hardness of the bed was just right. The hot springs on the top floor were also beautiful. The free night crying ramen was light and delicious. There are many types of breakfast. All the small bowls were covered because of the corona. Correspondence of the front desk was also good.

This is a new hotel within a sheltered shopping street. It is very convenient with the tram stop and taxi stand at the door step. The room is clean and bright. It's a good idea to place the wash basin in the room so that there is more space to move around in the toilet. Breakfast consists of both western and Japanese food with Kumamoto specialty such as karashi renkon (lotus root with mustard). There are also onsen and launderette. I'm very satisfied with everything here.
