The location was very central, staff was amazing (thank you Anton, Brock, Rick and Victor) and the room was clean and nicely appointed. Added to this, we were staying there at the beginning of the COVID19 outbreak and their occupancy, like everywhere elses, was low. They were still friendly, helpful and upbeat. My daughter and I were so impressed and felt safe to spend our time there even though it was a scary time to be in the middle of NYC. Even our dinner recommendation was amazing... YUMMMM... and thank you for that Anton! We will be back again another time...

Visiting from out of town, we wanted to get a feel for the neighborhood while also being tourists in Manhattan. Location: Subway (9th St & 4th Ave) - 3 blocks Subway (Union Square) - 4 blocks Westside Market - 1 block Healthy Greens Deli - 2 blocks Tompkins Square Bagels - 4 blocks Anything you need is walkable from here! Covid-19 caused the closure of some restaurants and Webster Hall (across the street), but St Marks Place is lively as well as the NYU / Washington Square Park area. You may see folks sleeping on the sidewalk, but it's a busy area, and does not feel unsafe at all. Room: Quiet enough with the window closed, although from our 6th floor room overlooking the street, we could definitely hear the bar/restaurant crowd downstairs. Not a problem -- it's part of staying in the city. :) Nice that the window opens a bit! The room is small, but again, that feels appropriate in Manhattan. The room is designed well to take advantage of the limited space. No writing desk, but have a clipboard instead! There is no privacy when getting in and out of the shower, so you need to communicate if you want to avoid unwanted exposures. Hah! The shallow sink is not ideal functionally, but it is usable and cute. Shower is spacious and has great water pressure. Beds are very comfy, slept great! The room and property overall were very clean and fresh. Value: I was very happy with the price we paid for a quiet, super-clean, comfy room in a newly renovated hotel right in the East Village. Will definitely stay here again if rates don't go up too much once the travel industry fully recovers! Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Kudos!

0.46km from Kiehl’sWe stayed at the W for 4 nights and it has a great location in Union Square - perfect if you like to be somewhere a little quieter, away from the real tourist hotspots yet close enough to everything. The hotel itself is dated from the reception area to the rooms, although it’s clean comfortable and user friendly. We were upset and surprised they cancelled access to our sons’ room after 2 nights as there was no credit card on the room- we had presumed both rooms were on our room credit card and this had worked fine for the first 2 nights. This caused confusion and delay in getting to bed fairly late one evening and was unnecessary and draconian. This was probably because our agent, Virgin holidays didn’t get our booking right, but that’s another story. I’m also still unsure why there is a daily credit card charge of 25 dollars for incidentals from the mini bar and room service, but we don’t really use either. The Irvington restaurant and bar are good, trendy and efficient and I’d recommend both. I just wish the rooms in the hotel had the same look and feel as they really are in need of a complete upgrade and make over. There is no Nespresso/ coffee machine in the room, but there is coffee offered at reception instead. Not ideal if you want an early morning cuppa in your PJ’s! We had to move room after the first night as we only had one of the two suites we’d booked and we were left to move all our luggage despite the hotel saying they would do this. The door staff are also a bit hit and miss - sometimes the heavy entrance door is held open for you and sometimes they leave you to struggle through - neither are big issues but it does leave the impression that this isn’t really a 5 star hotel. Would we come back? If the rates were much lower possibly and maybe if we booked direct, as the location is good and the beds comfy, however we paid top dollar for a five star hotel and holiday experience as recommended by Virgin holidays. They do need to revisit some of their recommendations and overall customer service. I suspect there are better options if you do your research. We would never use Virgin holidays again for a number of reasons, but that’s not the hotels fault. All in all it’s not a bad hotel at all - just not typical of the W brand and what you expect from it, so just be aware of that before you stay.

My friend and I wanted to stay at a hotel that wasn't in either of our neighborhoods and near a friend's apartment. We were really excited to check out the Standard since I've been before to the excellent Narcissa restaurant in the hotel. Our stay was made extra special as Danny at the front desk heard our story and was able to hook us up with a very nice room on the 20th Floor and a bottle of champagne to toast to our staycation. The shower with steam was dreamy and our views from the Empire State Building down to the new WTC and over to the Brooklyn & Manhattan Bridge. I highly recommend looking for an upgrade to one of the suite types as the room were fairly large for NYC standards. Thanks to Danny and the staff at the Standard for making our visit memorable!!

0.8km from Kiehl’sFirst of all, they're not kidding saying these rooms are small but that being said they were perfectly adequate for us as a couple , even with a couple of cases. The hotel itself had that dark wood 'cosy feel' to it, helped along by the roaring fire going on in the lobby. Be warned though, the hotel lobby is a 'hub' for all sorts of people, students, locals etc so getting a seat can prove tricky at almost any time of day. There is also a very nice ( if pricey) cocktail bar. In general the staff were very helpful but there were a couple of times where certain individuals at the front desk were less than attentive to detail, ie, being given the wrong bill ( twice!) and being given the wrong key (twice!). All in all, the hotel is in a fabulous location with the whole of Greenwich Village within walking distance and a nearby subway stop ( west 4th St) and we would stay again.
0.82km from Kiehl’sWe stayed at this lovely hotel in the Superior Queen room for two nights. This was my first stay here, but I have stayed at several of the city's better hotels. Upon arrival we were welcomed by the reception and the door man service. In the room a sparkling wine from the hotel was waiting for us which was appreciated after a long journey from Europe. The hotel itself is was upon arrival a little underwhelming but that changed during our stay. The reception area, lounge, lifts, hallways were obviously in the Boutique style and have a less luxurious feeling than expected. We can take the lobby / lounge right away. - it was specatuclar and a quite a vital part of the hotel. Here is a trendy atmosphere all the way. The afternoons are a little busy, there was a constant rush of people outside the hotel who wanted to take a drink here. That meant there was some queue to get refreshments from the bar. The cocktails are very well made, here are obviously knowledgeable bartenders at work. The service on the other hand is a bit slow. Remember to order the bill at the same time you order or it will take a long time. I knew I had to use the lounge at night because of jet lag and work. I was therefore in the Lounge at 0330-0400 AM every day. Quiet comfortable atmosphere and it was eminent to sit by the warm fireplace, with great pot of coffee and do my work. The room was a positive surprise. Large windows let in the perfect amount of light. The view of the low buildings of NOHO was good, although I was hoping for better. (I asked for a good view in advance) The room had a perfect size. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean. It was a little heated in the room, but the un-noisy fans in the ceiling helped. The bathroom is brilliant. Large, with hot water all the time. The only negative is the cleaning service. We left the room at 0700 AM and came back at 1400 AM. The room was still not cleaned. I asked the reception 5PM to get this done. In addition, the door man service was sometimes absent. All in all, I am very pleased with our stay and I would recommend anyone to try the hotel. However, I am not entirely convinced that this will be my permanent hotel in New York. There is a little extra work to do in the details and the ability to see their guests. Lobby service should be improved and cleaning must be done on time. I will book a Deluxe room next time to possible get a better view.

The bar saved my life on many occasion ..... it being my refuge after long days with the teen!!! 3 Stars for restaurant ‘simon and the whale’ - food delicious, lovely vibe/decor, cozy and intimate. Lost two as it’s totally over priced... A 30 dollar burger! Crazy expensive starters and sides. To expensive for budget travelers. Odd considering the hotel beginning an affordable hip young traveller hotel ....A real shame.... restaurant missing out on hotel customers! Feel quite separate from hotel. 2 Stars for room 527 - stayed in the triple room, me on the double bed, daughter top bunk. The two stars being ....good bed configuration comfortable clean pristine bedding, cool decor and spacious-ish room. Lost 3 stars as bathroom dark and to small ...floods with water with every shower and have to keep the door open as ya couldn’t swing a cat in there. Not great lightning in room....hard to apply makeup. Room cold drafty...super noticeable...especially when you come out from the shower Into the main room ....as no room to towel dry yourself in there. Drafty particularly at nite a blanket of draft going over you from the single pained windows. Had to request a second duvet as the one on the bed too thin. Also Our room opposite the floor control panel door - odd electrical nose vibrated into our room. All in all for the price we payed 650 euro for 5 nites. Can’t really complain as it’s a really cool affordable place to stay .... all the good points made it. Cost more than the 650 as there was an extra service charge of around 34 dollers a nite (not a shock as we knew in advance). If you are young traveler beware of this extra charge. When you arrive they put a 200 dollar hold on your card for the total nitely service charge including a buffer incase of any room charges. On check out they refund you any remainder. Concidering our experience we were happy with this cool hip hotel in NYC at that price point via hotels.com I give it 4 Stars over all But .....if it cost more I would not be as generous with the Stars. Any more expensive I would stay elce where for a more luxury and warm experience and would have been pissed with the draft!!!!! But at that price for NYC it’s cool place and a total booker for the roof bar, vibe, interior and location x Make sure you go to Joes Pizza for two slices and an imported Mexican cola ....ate their 3 times....

The front desk is very welcoming, and also helps with luggage. It should be said that the price is very high. I will choose it next time.

There isn’t a lot happening in the immediate vicinity but it’s still NYC and there are plenty of bars and restaurants. It was about a 20 minute walk to the Village and under 20 to Penn Station. Multiple subway lines close by if you want to explore farther. The staff were all fantastic. Special thanks to the guys working the doors on an incredibly windy weekend. The bed was comfy and I loved the pillows. The room was a good size for NYC and the bathroom was huge. Great shower. Everything was clean. Maybe the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at in NYC. The elevators were a new thing for me. You select your floor, not direction up/down, and you are then assigned one of the four elevators. Efficient. My complaint is the $35 destination fee. Yes, you can get that money back with drinks at the bar but it only applies to the lobby bar which was always crowded with people nursing a water or just standing around people watching. It’s no wonder they charge a fee because the bar can’t make enough money without paying customers. The bar was very loud at night. Like warehouse rave levels of loud. Luckily all that noise stayed in the lobby and our room was quiet. Also the crowd was way too hip for me. I have more of a Courtyard Marriott look. Not the hotel’s fault but something to consider if you want a hotel in this area.

After checking in, I found that this room is not very large, but it is completely acceptable. turn on. The shower room in the bathroom is large and the shower is enjoyable. 1.08km from Kiehl’sWe had a small queen room (all rooms seem small in NYC - like Paris!). The room was on a high floor as we requested with a small balcony and floor to ceiling windows that made it feel larger. I was celebrating a big birthday and was surprised to find a complementary bottle of wine and note from the hotel. So nice and much appreciated! :0). There are not lots of amenities at this hotel such as pool, spa, etc BUT we didn't miss them due to the excellent service from all the staff - the good breakfast and excellent wine and cheese happy hour. The location is perfect! In midtown and a short walk of 5 minutes to the subway. We purchased a metro card with 7 days unlimited rides for app. 30.00 each - a bargain. We walked most everywhere but it was great to take the subway when our feet were tired or the destination was further away. The staff really make this place special. We will stay again next time we visit this great city.

The hotel's configuration is good, dishwasher, microwave, induction cooker, refrigerator, dishes and cutlery are very full! It's just that the scoop and shovel are not easy to use, but you can do it! The hotel room is large, a dressing room, and two large closets. There is an anteroom in the entrance. The kitchen has an island and a dining table. The family is definitely very relaxed. My boyfriend and I spent the night here awhile ago and we couldn't be happier with our stay. The hotel feels very sexy so it was perfect for our little staycation. We're right next to Times Square so we got to be tourist in our city. The rooftop is gorgeous. We had the king suite overlooking the street with wall to wall windows. It was a great change and escape from our tiny Brooklyn apartment. Would highly recommend for a sexy night in NY:) Also shout out to the GM Jeremy Poon if he's still there. Amazing hospitality from the bellman to the front desk to the housekeeping team.
we spend a lot of time in NYC because my daughter has medical appointments there often. The Ronald McDonald house is out for me after spotting a dark gray "mouse" running under a stove in one of the kitchens! Yuck. I know there are critters in NYC, I just don't want to see them where my food is prepared. Warwick New York was a great choice for this trip. The location is easy access to everything, across from MoMA, walking distance to Central Park. The hotel is clean and pays attention to social distancing rules. Restaurants are slowly opening up again and we enjoyed delivery of coffee and pancakes from the restaurant kitty-corner across the street, Astro restaurant. Didn't have the chance to do any exploring, but hopefully we will soon, once things get back to "normal." The people that work at are Warwick New York are super nice and accommodating. Housekeeping came early in the morning, and I asked them to come back after 2 pm, and they did! It's so nice to come back to a clean room Warwick New York the beds made. Definitely will put this in our top 3 hotels in the city.
I was going to NYC to see Elton John and was to stay at The New Yorker. Well... neither happened. I had made non-refundable reservations but called the hotel to see if their policy would change during this crisis. Every person I spoke to was so nice and helpful. One person that really stood out was Neida Aldama, a supervisor at the front desk. She was incredibly kind and compassionate about the situation, and offered that my prepayment be used as a credit that I can apply anytime in the next year (hopefully if/when Elton John reschedules!!). I feel that this was very generous, given the fact that they had every right to tell me I was SOL. Neida even went so far as to call me to directly answer a question I had. I know that they are dealing with a lot and are working with a skeleton crew, so that phone call really blew me away. Thank you Neida and The New Yorker!
Wall Street/Financial District
1. Good location: 9/11 new building and Memorial Museum just outside the window.
2. Convenient for travel. It takes 3 minutes to walk to New York's line 1, 2, 3, E, R, W. Taking a taxi is also very convenient.
3. Good service: there are people in the lobby 24 hours, and a deposit of 250 yuan for 5 nights.
4. The room size is OK and the facilities are complete.

I’m going to tell you a secret and you have to promise not to tell anyone. You can taste New York without New York money. How? The eminent Concorde hotel. I’m here now, writing this review. It’s midnight and the Upper East Side looks so beautiful from up here. This window is four times the size of my body and yet I feel so large. It’s all in the room, I think. It makes me feel like I’m Wilson Fisk. I'm Tony Stark. I'm Bruce Wayne upon Gotham. In this moment, I run New York. Wait a moment. Something caught my eye. I wonder why a single room light is on the 61st floor of the Bloomberg building? Is Mike home? You really need to see the Bloomberg building at midnight from this floor. What a view. Back to the Concorde. Every place is defined by its people, so let’s talk folk. All Concorde staff I encountered were excellent, from the courteous doormen to the tireless housekeepers. A few to note: the amiable Christopher Shepard, the efficient Rada Drascovic, the soigné Dukens Alexandre. They exemplify luxury hospitality. Meet them and consider yourself lucky. Look, we all agree that that hospitality in New York is a gamble, regardless of star ratings or thousands paid. Well, not the Concorde – it’s consistently well reviewed as far as excellence in customer service and I got to experience first-hand why. New York is not known for consistency in anything. I was impressed. Let’s now talk about the space. Understand that this hotel is less boutique and more New York history. It was born as a residential high-rise owned by a major airline to provide exclusive lodging to visiting crew. Keep in mind that corporations take it very seriously that the people flying their billion-dollar aircraft get the pinnacle of luxury for their night’s rest. So, you will too. The Concorde is designed with your comfort in mind. That’s why every floor only has four rooms. That’s why the beds are so soft. That’s why the soothing tones of mid-century modern mellow your eyes. That’s why I’m typing this with my laptop on a marble table top. That’s why… the bathrooms. Oh, the bathrooms. God damn. We’re talking bathrooms the size of a New York city studio. Professional vanity mirror taking up a warehouse chunk of wall real estate. Walk-in shower and soaking tub. That’s right - and. Have you ever finished a run in Central Park with a perfectly-temperature-controlled Bahamas waterfall of a chilled shower, soak your tired muscles in a home spa of a soothing bubble bath, then back to the Bahamas you go? I have. A bit about the amenities. Well, there’s the essential WIFI, but note that you can ask for a network cable for better Zooming or Teaming. 92 Mbps down / 94 Mbps up during my stay, by the way. My TV is quite big and has all the usual channels and music. A fridge (mind you, much mini) lets me keep a few refreshments cool for when needed. Finally, an iron and board in the room let me have my pilot uniform looking crisp for my flight out.
