The location is within walking distance of Nishizato. Niyazato has many restaurants on Miyako Island. It is very convenient for dinner and a stroll in Nishiri Town. No special services, but the front desk is friendly. The building itself is not new, but it is well maintained and clean. Comfort is also very limited. The price is also very cheap, so it is recommended for those who want to save on accommodation costs.

Very affordable, great location and spacious for Japanese standards (compared to the bigger cities in Japan). The airport shuttle bus dropped me off at the market and Mr Kinjo was a few minutes walk from there. There is a Family Mart just across the street and it's very easy to walk to Panagaima Beach. The room has a microwave, fridge, kettle and a washing machine. The building is very new and you can check in after 3:00 pm.

My family stayed at the chic Hotel 385 during our first trip to Miyako-jima with friends. We were immediately struck by how elegant it was, from the lobby to the restaurant to our room. And cleanliness is a huge priority here too; everything was spotless. It was all obviously meticulously designed by someone with a great eye! We had the time of our lives exploring the island with the hotel as our home base, and the staff were so friendly with recommendations on what to see and do. The location of the hotel on one of the main shopping streets of the island made it to convenient to walk around to everything in town and nearby beaches. The hotel restaurant was very hip and the food was delicious; we looked forward to the Japanese-style breakfast each morning. My husband and father-in-law also really enjoyed drinks at the bar at night, and their massages from the in-house masseuse. Arigato gozaimasu for the wonderful hospitality, Hotel 385! We can’t wait to come back again.

Located in Shigira Beach Resort, the whole resort is very large with many hotels. This hotel is far from the sea, but the facilities are very good, indoor swimming pool, beach beds, viewing balcony everything, it is a small luxury hotel. Outside the window is facing the lagoon inside the hotel. There are six or seven sea turtles. The mascot of the hotel is the sea turtle. The service is first-rate, and the breakfast is also good, especially the semi-outdoor seats, and I feel happy during the meal. There are many restaurants in the resort, all of which can be used. The sunset in the stardust garden is beautiful, and you can have dinner there. The Nanfeng BBQ in the style of Ryukyu has a very large set menu. I recommend set C with Miyako beef. There is also Saikai, soba noodles and vegetable tempura are good. There are also German cultural villages, cable cars, and semi-submarine fish watching boats at Boai Beach in the resort. If you want to book a taxi to tour the island, you can ask the hotel staff to make an appointment, which is very convenient. The transportation in the resort relies on the hotel's battery car and resort minibus, which is more convenient. It's a pity that it is far from the sea and I didn't enjoy the beach much, but the hotel itself is enough to enjoy.

The location and hotel are very aesthetically pleasing, and there are no disadvantages other than being far away from the center and more suitable for self-driving or chartered cars. The decoration seems to be a design office for the MUJI hotel. There are many local characteristics of glass lamps and large pieces of wood home. The style is simple and beautiful. The swimming pool is sheltered by plants, and it is a landscape design with wind and rain. Hotel dining is well worth it, and the experience of homemade spa bath salt is also very interesting. It's a pity to roast marshmallows without an appointment. In addition, due to the season and the sea breeze, there will be a lot of garbage floating on the cruise ship every day. You can’t see it if you don’t go to the roots of the plants, but it might make more sense if the hotel can organize some environmental protection actions.

Location Miyako-jima (Miyako Island) Style Resort Check In We were not greeted on arrival, there was only two receptionist who were extremely busy with the visitors. The lobby was not luxurious unlike most resorts on Miyako-jima, there were only few seatings at the lobby so we stood and waited for 20 minutes until we could check in. The lady spoke a good level of English, however lacked any emotions, she also spoke in one tone. She was not very informative either even when I asked her about the facilities. She did not provide me any information on check out time, free shuttle bus to other resorts, restaurants in the resort, swimming pool etc. There is an information book in the room, however it is all in Japanese and I could not understand it. It would be very helpful to have it in English or ask them to give us some information when we are checking in. Room Japanese-Western style room I decided to book the Japanese- Western room as on the website and on Tripadvisor shows there is a L shaped sofa and it looks more comfortable. With the western room, there is only a simple simple sofa as the two single beds took up most of the room. Indeed, the room looked up to expectations, it was spacious and absolutely spotless. Once you step into the room, the separate toilet is on the left then you will walk pass the kitchenette. After the kitchenette is the tatami area which is also the sleeping area, at last is the livingroom with the L shaped sofa and balcony. You will need to walk into the kitchen before seeing the door for the bathroom and sink. Kitchen The kitchen is fully equipped with plates, bowls, cutlery, washing liquid, electric stove, sponge and pots. The fridge and microwave was clean and I cannot fault it. It was a shame we did not use the kitchen much, but it was great to have one for washing fruits, making tea and storing cold drinks. Breakfast and restaurant No breakfast included nor did i visit the restaurants inside the resort Verdict PROS Spacious room with kitchenette Clean Sea view Reasonable price Toto tolet Comfortable sofa Good wifi CONS Slightly outdated No breakfast included Bathroom and toilet separated Not English friendly Wellness Villa BRISA is part of the Shigira resort, the free shuttle also let you reach other Shigira resorts. Despite it is under the same company, Wellness Villa BRISA is obviously more outdated and less luxurious. Wellness Villa BRISA must once had its glorious days before Shigira resort expanded and became more luxurious. In saying that, I enjoyed my stay at Wellness Villa BRISA, the sea view was splendid and the room was so comfortable for half the price of the Shigira resort. It is worth every penny and made my Miyako-jima trip a memorable one. Would I go back again? Yes, definitely Rating from my brain (out of 5 hearts): ♥♥♥♥ Rating from my heart (out of 5 hearts): ♥♥♥♥♥ Overall rating (out of 10 hearts) : ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 9/10 Detail

Overall it was an excellent stay – would absolutely recommend staying here, and we will stay here again when we return to Miyakojima. Great location, food, and pool beach. Much prefer over Okinawa main island area as it’s less crowded and easy to get around. Pros: Pool – nice there are 2 pools. A kids’ pool, it is right next to the larger pool, but often the children are in the large pool, too. Lots of shade. We went in the middle of June, so not crowded and could always find a chair. Beach – beautiful beach, although a significant area of the beach, the convenient area that is right next to pool, was under construction so we didn’t get to enjoy that area. But the other area of the beach was a short walk from beach and had lounge chairs with umbrellas set up for guests’ use. Restaurants – We had breakfast at the Shangri-La every morning, and it was impressive. A wonderful variety of different food. I was never disappointed. We ate dinner at 3 of the other restaurants. The restaurant pool side, Moon Shell, we had had lunch by the pool, nice menu. The Tappanyaki Restaurant was very good, would recommend during your stay. The Seaside Garden/Barbeque was ok. It was very hot in the restaurant, so difficult to enjoy while the hot grill was right in front of you. Room: was spacious, massive shower/tub area. Plenty of room. There was a free smart phone to use, but since instructions were in Japanese, we didn’t fully understand were it could be used. There was a mini-fridge we used for personal use. 2 free bottles of water every day. The balcony was nice overlooking the pool, but no chairs to sit outside. Location – there was a free shuttle to take you to the tropical gardens. To get to the “Aeon town” area, it was about ¥2,000 for taxi. Btw – the BEST Ramen restaurant is in the Aeon town area, next to Kagami restaurant and in the building next to the Italian restaurant. The name of the restaurant only shows in Japanese. Cons: Pool: No pool-side service. It’s not like the Caribbean / Hawaii where there are servers to order drinks and food. Room: Beds were quite firm and no King size beds – 2 twin beds. Limited English speaking at desk.

Our five nights at Imgya Coral Village were truly amazing. The villa rooms are of excellent quality with a lovely bedroom, large living area and great bathroom and bathing facilities. The pool is quite small but just what you need after a day of exploring and you can have a relax here! Whilst we are not the 'young family' target audience this hotel is a great place for a beach holiday whoever you are. We stayed during the week and out of school holiday season so it was fairly quiet (more family focussed, as expected as we headed into the weekend). The buffet breakfast was pretty good and is regularly replenished. The hotel provides a free transport service to all the other restaurants within the resort and we ventured out every night to our dinner reservations made by the team. The staff here are absolutely fantastic, rooms are fab, pool is clean and sufficient and it is extremely good value. Thank you Iris and the team for a brilliant end to our honeymoon!!
