Stayed in Japan for 10 days, this is the best place to stay! In the center of Nara's major attractions, Spring Festival Club, Nara Museum, Dongda Temple are within ten minutes walk. The environment in the museum is beautiful, the owner's aesthetics are online, the style is very high, the room is all flowers bought on the same day, the owner personally inserted. The clerk was very warm, the service was attentive, and the waiters looked super nice! ! Dinner is Japanese cuisine, very exquisite, rich and delicious! Breakfast is also super rich! In short, it is a good experience of happiness.

I would highly recommend staying at The Deer Park Inn if you are stopping by Nara. It is located very close to the hill where you will get the most beautiful view of the sunset in the evenings, and you will wake up to views of the deer roaming around the front of the hotel. The receptionist was so funny and nice, we really felt at home here and would love to come and stay again. Facilities are perfect, clean and well-maintained.

When you arrive in touristic Nara, you go up to Kasuga Taisha to continue the path through the woods. And there it is... a hidden gem! Lost in the middle of nature, small cottages linked by a path traced in the forest and outside blend into the forest... It is a unique, sublime, almost unreal place.... The room has large windows overlooking nature. It is the most peacful place we stayed in Japan No wifi, no TV... just you and the nature The private bathroom was a great experience. The food was exceptional! We would like to thank the staff who was really nice and helpful. They made our stay even more magical. We were feeling like home.

The historical significance of this venue must be highlighted to illustrate its uniqueness in Nara - We signed up for the complimentary tour of the hotel offered to hotel guests on certain mornings of the week and had the pleasure of having Ms. Sato, the director of marketing, introduce the story of Shisui and its past-life as the residence of the governor of Nara between 1922 to 2017, then as Shisui hotel with guest-rooms designed by renown architect Kengo Kuma. The emperor of Japan had stayed on property in post-war to sign the San Francisco treaty. Sato-san's thorough introduction in fluent-english had me realise a stay at this hotel is a unique experience in the way that it is beyond just luxury. The staff had been wonderful and eager to please without pushiness. It was much appreciated, as it gave room for my wife and I to enjoy each other's company at this perfectly peaceful property. The staff had been amazing from the beginning, at check-in, we had Rika-san, a lady with eyes that can smile, to help us check-in while we rest our feet at the lounge with tea, then guide us to our room while briefing us on all its amenities. The rooms were modern with accents of traditional Japanese designs to remind me of the locations' history. Details like the washroom walls that look like zen-gardens and overall wooden decor made my stay at the room one of the most relaxing experiences ever at any hotel. The French-Japanese wine-paired dinner at Suiyou was also our culinary highlight of our two-week vacation in Japan. In summary, after the two night stay, my wife had requested that we should come back to Shisui in the spring, summer and fall to experience all the seasons at this venue.

This is a hotel I really like. There is a hot spring in the room. There is no public hot spring bath, which is probably the only drawback. Very designer boutique hotel style. Minibars are free. The room is big enough. The toiletries are all organic and smell very comfortable. The smell of essential oils and incense is everywhere. It only costs 5,500 a night including breakfast and dinner, which is very cost-effective. The location is super good. Nara Park is right outside the door. The scenery inside the hotel is also beautiful. The bamboo forest can rival Arashiyama's Internet celebrity attractions. Parking is free, and there are waiters who can speak a lot of Chinese.

I researched a ridiculously long time to find a comfortable authentic ryokan experience in Nara so we could enjoy a more relaxed time in Nara as a family vs just a typical day trip. My husband was VERY reluctant to spend such a large amount on a one night stay where we'd be sleeping on the floor in the room with the kids but I assured him this was a not-to-miss experience, and for the price it was definitely going to be a comfortable night sleep on the floor with lots of padding under the futon mattresses. I was wrong. Not only did it feel like camping out on a hard floor, but the rice paper on the windows did absolutely nothing to block out the bright streetlight outside the window. Between the hard floor and the bright street light glaring into the room, it was a very uncomfortable night of sleep, to say the least. ”Don't worry, this will be an unforgettable Japanese kaiseki meal! It's worth paying so much!” Again, inwas wrong. While the staff was incredibly thoughtful with any pre-discussed food options, and the service was delightful, the food was hit or miss. Some courses were lovely, both as a piece of art in their presentation and also delicious! But aggressively overcooking fish and seafood is just beyond unacceptable. Also, I was disappointed to discover that dinner was served in the dining room, not in our private room, as I had assumed. We chose the western option for breakfast. It was pretty terrible, I have to admit. Perhaps we should have opted for the Japanese option in retrospect. I thought my kids would be more likely to eat a western breakfast, but it just wasn't good. Cold eggs, chicken nuggets, stale bread. One of my daughters and I briefly enjoyed the small public onsen inside the inn and that was nice! I feel bad writing a poor review because I REALLY wanted to love this place, and the staff is very warm, thoughtful, and caring. But with the disappointing food and uncomfortable night's sleep, I just can't recommend staying here for the amount of money we spent. Not the splurge-worthy experience I was hoping for, sadly.

I thought that while the corona was a little calm, I went to Nara. Good point The dishes were good. The location was very good. If you are not good at walking Todai Ji Temple and Kasuga Taisha shrine, you can walk around. The staff is very helpful, but the staff we talked to were kind and polite and gave advice about Nara 々. I want to improve The futon was very thin, so my body hurt. It is a relatively hard bedding from usual ... The quality of the futon was not proportional to the accommodation fee ... (personally hard to sleep) The hot spring of the hanging wind, the wind? It is a bit complicated. I want you to make a correct notation that is easy to understand. I want you to change the content of breakfast a little more during the night. I want you to correctly tell me a little more about the traffic situation in Nara. I would like to see you again if you can improve the futon.

Close to shopping streets and stations, within walking distance to museums and Todaiji Temple. There are supermarkets, convenience stores, drugstores, coffee shops downstairs...it is very convenient for travel and dining. The room size is ideal, the facilities are complete, and the soft and hard furnishings are all online. The only dissatisfaction during my stay: there was no advance notice of the fire drill. I woke up to the alarm in the morning. The first playback was in Japanese, which was completely incomprehensible and very embarrassing. The Indian front desk receptionist upon check-in should remind guests that there will be a fire drill the next morning. Judging from the reactions of other guests, they must have known about this beforehand.

The hotel is old but tidy, there is no daily necessities except old towels, including a blow dryer in the hot spring area, and there is nothing towels lock. Of course, this price can't be too much, remember this is a hotel. I was impressed by the invincible location and courteous staff, I can't say whether I like it or not.

If there are other options, this homestay is not recommended! Say a few points for reference only: 1. Unprofessional, my bed doesn't even have sheets! Communication can't solve it 2. Check in at 4 pm, before that, his door is not open, don't want to put luggage! Go out and walk on your own back! 3. This is in the village, near the convenience store, there is no meal. 4. Check out time, ask you to check out at 9 o'clock! No delay of half a second 5, towels need to be rented! This old man is like a robot without feelings. 6, advantages: clean, quiet, cheap.

Before I joined my friends in Kyoto I spent a couple of days in Nara and stayed in this guesthouse. It's located on the edge of the old town and just a 5-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara station. The guesthouse is housed in a very traditional Japanese dwelling complex, ie you have to keep quiet if possible, as the walls aren't sound-proof. But I like this coz normally most cheap places to stay are full of noisy backpackers, but this isn't. I stayed in the dorm room, which is neat and clean. When I was there the host was doing experiment in pizza making so I tried a few slices of it, which tasted really good. The kitchen has almost everything so if you want to make your own meals it's possible. Highly recommend this place to anyone on the shoestrings yet looking for a decent place to stay.

The location of the room is really consistent with the online reviews. You can see the deer on the balcony, especially when you walk in the morning and evening, you can get in touch with each other in front of the door. 5 minutes to go out, shopping, eating, parks, temples are all complete. It is worth mentioning that the room service is in place. The only drawback is that the check-out time is before 10 o'clock, and the overtime is 3840 yen/hour.

Welcomed right from the get go even though our room wasn't quite ready! The staff were incredibly kind. Honestly, finding an affordable accommodation in Nara at this good of a location does not come easy, and so if you're traveling on a budget this is an excellent option. Room was very clean, air conditioning worked very well on those hot summer days, we were in the budget room but it was still decently comfortable and spacious for two people. Definitely would recommend.

Stayed during the shosoin exhibition. I found that I was looking for a private room (because the guest house is impossible) because I only use it to sleep almost on a solo trip. It was a room of 4 tatami mats and half, but there was no problem using it alone, and the joint toilet and toilet were cleaned cleanly. The bath is a hot spring, and it is not timing or batting with other guests, and it is rental every day. It was very good to put your legs in a big bath because I was very tired to walk a lot. I only met at check-in, but the staff also felt good with a smile and stayed with peace of mind. Because it is an old building, the door opening and closing and the voice in the corridor are echoing. I wonder if anyone who cares. It was very convenient to make a tourist base within walking distance from the station and Nara Park.

We stayed for 4 nights to walk on Nara Yamato Road. It was a relatively long night, but it was unexpectedly comfortable. The single room was small, the window glass was polished, there was no outside scenery, and there was a feeling of closure, but the flow line of the clothes hanging was good, and the number of hangers was large and convenient. After all, there was a bathhouse for men and women, which was very useful for the tired body of walking. The free Japanese-Western breakfast buffet is simple, but the contents of the side dishes are changed little by little every day, and it was delicious. I was grateful that it was a 500ml water service in the morning. It is very convenient because it is close to JR Nara Station and the station building is equipped with ion supermarkets, shopping malls and restaurants. There is a microwave on the first floor of the hotel where you can eat and drink in your room. It was simple overall, but it was very functional and I was able to stay very comfortable alone.

3 I stayed for a night, but the breakfast was very delicious, so it was cheap (2 people in triple room and 3 night 2 million yen). Some problems, so I lower the evaluation a little. I did. The ventilation wind (unstoppable) was very cold, and it was cold when I stopped the air conditioner at night and went to bed (it was noisy without air conditioning). The same thing was said to be a common bathroom in the toilet washroom, and it was cold because it was a mechanism to automatically tighten even if the slide door was opened and warmed. The bath comes out of a large amount of hot water immediately, so that point is very satisfying. Also, it was easy to choose without cleaning the room (towels were supplied) and to leave the luggage.

The room was obviously suitable for 3 people, but one of the single beds was removed, despite still having three sets of cups, toothbrushes and so on. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen and the water pressure in the shower was not very good. However, hot drinks are served in the lobby, which also offers a foot massager, the New York Times and the English version of the Japanese daily. Breakfast is served in a comfortable small basement with reasonable choice of Japanese and Western food. Front desk staff is very helpful. It's not too far from Nara Park and the station, so it's good to walk around, and it's near the lake, so it's good to walk at night. It's an alley, so you can feel the alley of Japan while walking in the morning and during the day, but it's scary at night! If you enter the building password, there are some kinds of iron sticks that can tie your luggage or luggage, and if you enter the room off-duplex, there are bathrooms, washbasins, and toilets in the room. The double-story ladder is a bit scary, but there is no problem. It was so clean and everything was good, but one problem? The point is that the building off-duty sound comes into my room, but I thought I pressed the password to enter my room. The sound is very loud. But I stayed for 2 nights on Thursday and Saturday, but I don't know if the sound of the room in the room is soundproof because all the people who used the building together for 2 nights stayed quiet, but I couldn't hear the sound of people!! Overall, it was a poor feeling that was insufficient 々. Bath: I can see the five-storied pagoda, but when I take a bathtub, I can see it from the top and the hole, and I am disappointed that the front fence will be ruined, and I don't know the time because there is no clock in the bathroom. My favorite hotel during the whole trip to Kansai🏨 First of all, the location is invincible and convenient, just outside Nara Station! There is even a dedicated elevator to their home! I have never stayed in such a convenient location. I was worried that it would be noisy at night, but it turned out to be super quiet (I didn’t sleep well in Osaka and Kyoto, so pitiful) Secondly, the service attitude is super good! And the service staff speaks English better than anyone I have met in Osaka! The communication was complete💯The attitude was also super good, very patient, highly recommended! There is also a hot spring at this price♨️Who knows! Yukata and toiletry bags are provided. The room size is enough for one person anyway. I especially like the feeling that there is a TV at the end of the bed and a window next to the bed! Extremely comfortable. There is a password lock when entering the door, which is very convenient without a room card. Just post the magnet ”check out” outside the door when you check out. It's so smart. I will stay here again next time I come to Nara.

I stayed to take a picture of the scenery of Nara in the morning because I was worried about the atmosphere that the appearance produced before. Two young men who were friendly were at the front and bar space, and it was a very pleasant response. Only meals were provided, and 々 foreigners living in Nara were used as part of Kendo or some training. The bath is a spacious bathroom with a bathtub and 2 places only for showers. After bathing, read while drinking free coffee in a shared space where you can see the garden. I enjoyed the conversation with those who were guided by cycling tours from Australia. I thought I would continue reading after I stayed in the dormitory, but I wanted to drink in a retro bar space, and I was 3 minutes before the end of the service at 22 o'clock, but I was very kind to make a water split. Sleep comfortably. The next morning I checked out without eating, but the gentle response of the male staff was really pleasant and talked about Nara, which was fun again. There is no chance, but it is an inn that I wanted to go to stay again. I think I'll go to eat only.

The hotel is very exquisite, not very big, there are hot springs in it, there are kindergarten children to soak in the hot springs, just around the Nara Park, Xingfu Temple to see the deer, the subway station, less than 10 minutes.

It is a Japanese homestay, booked a Japanese-style room (the boss is really good as everyone commented), except for the small room, other health and environment are very good. It is very close to Nara Park and is within walking distance. At the same time, it is very close to Nara Subway Station. If you are looking for a good value for money, this hotel is a good choice. recommend!

The conclusion was very good. and there's no amenities in the room. The style of taking it from the receptionist only for the necessary amount. First of all, it's a hotel that is environmentally friendly. It was a good impression. The room is also clean and very beautiful. Organic shampoo and hand washing soap are good. I want to stay again. The location is not complaining at all! I'm glad if it's just a little more close to the town. laughter

A hotel that feels like a business + hot spring hotel, just next to JR Nara Station. The room is clean and quite large, 3 F, but the view from the window was completely elevated by the railway, and I was worried about the sound of the train. The bathroom in the room has only a shower, but there is a large communal bath in a natural hot spring, so I was able to relax. There was no problem with the hot springs and breakfast, and it was as expected. Free bottled water 1 book in the refrigerator, WiFi is also free to connect.
