1.35km from King of GrillWe have arrived to Novum Hotel in Offenbach in the evening. Two receptionists have been rotating themselves around the workstation to find the reservation. After about 15 minutes of English-German mixture dialogue, it turned out that reservation was not recorded in the database and they asked me 5 times if I had another last name. I said I have only one last name, just like every other normal person, which produced a very surprised reaction on behalf of the receptionists. Probably this is the hotel where Jason Bourne normally stays when he's on vacation in Offenbach. The room. Photos look 5 times better than the actual room. It was quite shabby, although clean, pretty much. Bathroom is supersmall, Vietnamese guerilla style (in terms of size), any extra movement to the sides would make you hit the walls. Renovation is needed, urgently! Beds are ok qua the length, but are too narrow. Plus, you couldn't find a comfortable position for sleeping on it. I slept not well. Walls of the building are pretty thin, I guess, because in the morning when the trashman came it sounded like the trash-truck has been driving through the room, back and forth. Positive points. After I requested to move us to other room, more quiet, the request has been fulfilled instantly, which was very nice. The other room had an exercise bike, which made a very positive impression on my friend, who had instantly jumped on it to work out. Overall impression. The hotel is pretty strange! It's a very peculiar combination of rooms. Some of them are ok, some are used up to the point of no reference. And matching combination of personnel. Some are supernice, others -- are odious. If you like contrasts, this is a great choice for you.
