Stayed at this hotel so we could go to the Wycombe game on Friday and spend the day in London on Saturday. All the staff were friendly and helpful which made for a welcoming environment. Family of adults, teens and older children and all enjoyed the breakfast and a drink in the bar in the evening. Perfect location to walk to the station and hotel. Only downside is that free parking isn't included, but carpark is right next to the hotel and reduced fee available through hotel. Would definitely recommend and we will stay again.

After checking in around half-past midnight on a Friday night (the last weekend in April 2022), I was given a room on the second floor at the back of the hotel, and got a good night's sleep. I noticed when first entering the room that the door was heavy, and you have to push quite hard to open it. The room temperature was fine, not too warm, and the quilt wasn't a heavy one, so I didn't overheat during the night. In the morning I went to reception and asked where High Wycombe's parish church was, as I wanted to visit it. The receptionist told me "It's in the town centre." When I asked where in the town centre it was, she said "Turn left out of the door, then left again, and you're in the town centre." Apparently its exact location is a secret and I was expected to walk round the town centre looking for it. Specific directions would have been more helpful than a vague response. After that I didn't bother going to reception again, in case they were all as unhelpful. Saturday night was plain awful - a door, or doors, in the corridor outside my room was banging shut half the night, each time waking me up. Eventually I looked to see what the time was - just after 3 a.m., at which point I put earplugs in. They didn't have much effect, as twice I heard a door bang shut after that, but then wasn't woken again. In the morning I noticed that the two adjoining rooms across the corridor from my room (212) both had 'Do Not Disturb' signs outside, and I can only think that the occupants of those two rooms were moving from room to room during the night. Perhaps one family in the two rooms? I didn't speak to Reception about the noise as I had no confidence in any competence from the staff, and I couldn't identify who was allowing the doors to swing shut unless I'd stood in the corridor and watched. The problem is the heavy doors to the rooms which, when allowed to swing shut, hit the door frame hard. Who's the genius who thought that would be a good idea in a hotel? Very disappointing, I'd had a good opinion of staying in Travelodge hotels until this.

From Hell to Heavenly The previous night we stayed at a hotel which turned out to be one of the worse hotels we have ever experienced, we were promised much and paid, on arrival we were given a ‘SHED’, enough was enough and unable to shower, so we needed a hotel for myself and my wife and a dear elderly lady we were about to collect on the same day 11th from Heathrow. 11th September, I called a few hotels and spoke to a very helpful gentleman at the Wendover Arms Hotel, explained we needed two rooms. The rooms wouldn’t be ready until 15.00hrs, but the kind gentleman and wish I could remember his name, oh and he served us behind the bar that evening, he asked his staff to et our room cleaned for 13.00hrs s o we could get a shower, changed and set off to collect our friend. On arrival, we were greeted by this gentleman, we collected our keys, we got to our rooms, ground floor by the side exit, ok the room was a little smaller than other hotels we stayed at, but it was clean, totally different from the hole we stayed the previous night at. Showered, changed and out to headed to Heathrow. We later arrived back at the hotel, freshened up and decided we eat at the hotel that evening. The food was excellent, unfortunately they don’t do breakfasts, but the evening meals are superb, Caribbean, Jamaican, cannot quite remember the style, but tasty and plentiful and at a good price. We all slept well, we were allowed to be later to depart due to the elderly lady, and we will for sure book this hotel again. Sam B.

SHOCKING Customer Service Having just returned from a stay at the hotel, I wanted to warn future guests about staying at this hotel. We booked it for a one night stay as we were attending a friends Birthday celebration in the area. Arrived at the hotel and all seemed okay. On appearance the room was clean and facilities were as advertised on the website. It soon became clear that this was not the case. On closer inspection there were areas of the room that were very grubby and we found what looked like mucus smeared on the wardrobe door. The Wi-Fi did not work at all and when I pointed this out to the gentleman at the desk he just said he did not know why. Obviously the router strength was poor in certain areas as we could pick it up in the reception area only. Not great if you rely on it for business. That became the least of our worries… Around 2am we were woken to shouting, doors slamming and a large gathering of people in the room next door, this escalated into people knocking on our door. This went on despite us telling them to that we were trying to sleep. Around 5am they eventually went off to their own rooms. Finally we thought we’d be able to get a few hours sleep before our long drive home the next morning… this wasn’t to be.. heard the most horrendous noises coming from the pipes in the bathroom, the only way we could stop it was by constantly opening the taps and flushing the toilet. This happened for the next couple of hours. We were exhausted and desperate to sleep so left a note on reception advising them of all our problems with the noise levels and asked if we could check out a little later at 12.30 instead of 11am. Around 11.20am there was a knock at the door, no acknowledgment to our note, just being told that we now needed to pay £10 in cash as it has gone past 11am, and it would be £20 after 12. Told it must be cash (only assumption we can make is that this is not put through the books). We quickly got our things together and went to checkout. I explained all the problems to the manager/owner who failed to listen or acknowledge the problems. All he did was tell me he would get someone to look at the pipes and wifi, but how was this any good to us now? All he kept saying was that we needed to pay the £10 fee as it was ‘policy’. I said that it was an insult as really I should be claiming a part refund for false advertising that we were not provided with Wifi and we’d had no sleep partly because of the noisy pipes. We did not have any cash and refused to find a cash point as we just needed to get home and sleep. In the end we paid £10 on our card reluctantly and really wish we hadn’t. I informed the owner/manager that I would leave an honest review of our stay and asked if having bad reviews of their customer service was worth £10, the greediness of this hotel and lack of empathy is shocking and I would urge anyone thinking of staying here to look at alternative accommodation where you would certainly get some consideration an

The next morning I went to Heathrow Airport to get off the plane, so Birmingham found this hotel on the way back to Heathrow. I went directly to the door and asked for £55. It was still cheaper on Ctrip, so I booked it on Ctrip. I remember that it was already 9 o'clock when I booked it. Fortunately, the order was confirmed very quickly. The hotel's system immediately received the information. I immediately checked in. I didn't need a deposit, I didn't look at the passport, and I signed the name. The car was going to be in the car. The parking system enters the license plate number and stops for free. This hotel is a bit of a scale, it is quite new, after all, the big chain hotel, the quality is still guaranteed. Everyone in the room will take a look at the picture, except that there is no problem with not sending the bottled water. Because it’s late to deal with a night, there’s not much to know about it, it’s usually self-driving. It was easy to go to the airport the next day. The parking near the airport was more than 12 pounds, so I think it is good to live outside.

We have stayed at high Wycombe premier Inn many times, but this is my first complaint and utterly disappointed in the outcome. We booked a family room, and this was confirmed by the staff when booking, on arrival we were informed that the room that we booked was not available and was given a smaller room. As the web site mentions all rooms are guaranteed cleaned to covid 19 standards. he safety and wellbeing of our guests and team members has always been incredibly important to us. Everyone expects a clean and safe environment when visiting our hotels – and rightly so! COVID-19 really underlined the need for top hygiene standards, which is why we launched Premier Inn CleanProtect, our rigorous, daily cleaning regime that’s used throughout our UK & Ireland hotels. With this in mind, we’ve changed our check-in time to 3pm, just to make sure that we have enough time to deep clean our rooms and make them perfect for your stay. Developed in partnership with Diversey, a global leading cleaning and hygiene product supplier for the healthcare and hospitality industries, our promise seeks to give you extra peace of mind so you can book and stay with confidence. The room was dusty, carpet dirty, broken toilet seat and stains on the walls, but the worse was still to come. After checking the bedding, we found hair’s on the bed, under the duvet and sheets stained, with this the manger was called, he apologised and offered us a smaller room but advised us it would be cramped in there due to us being a family of 4. He offered us new bedding and cleaning equipment, but we would have to do it ourselves due to no staff to do it, this we did but was given a dirty stained covers and duvet. He again apologised and got and checked them himself, once the mattress protector was taken off we found a used ear bud on the mattress. Due to the fact we paid cash for our break we couldn’t get a refund there and then but would have to use the feedback form from the web site, and could we also send him the pictures so he can put his feedback in with ours, this we did. After sending the pictures and using the form no contact from premier inn for 6 weeks in this time my wife contacted them through Facebook PM where it seemed another complaint had gone in, tried over 30 times to speak somebody but all to no avail. After 12 weeks was informed, we would be receiving a cheque for £40, I did question whether were also getting a refund for at least 1 off the nights. No reply I have now been informed they have declined the £40 offer due to fact somebody else booked the room who wasn’t actually staying with us (even thou I paid for it myself). Won’t be using Premier Inn again The cleaning Promise and Guaranteed sleep is all lies and attitude is terrible.
