Booked a private room for 3 pax with an amazing view of Fujisan. My friends and I were impressed with the hostel - it was super clean and equipped with a whole range of amenities beyond the basics such as facial tissue, tooth brush, tooth paste, free flow of boiled eggs, home made bread, calbee granola etc. There are guidebooks with recommendation of nearby eateries, restaurant and recommended places of interest for our reference. Even though I did not get a chance to interact with the owner, I could feel the sincerity and passion of the owner in running the hostel and his desire to provide the best experience for his customers simply through the decoration of the whole hostel - from the little ninja stickers on the wall, flowers decorated tissue box to the little touch of leaving a paper crane on each bed etc - all these makes the hostel a very cosy place to stay in. I have no qualms but praises for the hostel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Approx 300m from Mt Fuji Station, Mt fuji view from your window & rooftop..what else could i ask for! absolute perfect location. I would rather stay in Fujiyoshida than Kawaguchiko. it is much less crowded here & more peaceful. The single room were very small but it was fine with me. No breakfast available, only coffee & tea. my only dislike was the male toilet which was located downstairs & my room was upstairs. imagine the inconvenience going to the toilet in the middle of the night. One of the receptionist also recommended me to an awesome Yoshida no Udon restaurant. delicious & very affordable!

The hotel smelled very good in the morning. On that day, I had hair in the morning and it was not hot enough. The hot springs are very thin and open at 7 am in the morning. The location of the hotel is very close to Mount Fuji, which is very convenient.

The Megu Fuji 2021 was recently opened in 2021, making it a fantastic choice for those staying in Fujiyoshida. The hotel is just 2km away from Tsukujiji Railway Station. Keeping busy is easy, with Oshi Residence (Former Togawa Residence), Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja and Thomas Land all nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities.

I lucked out and was given a larger bedroom than standard. It was a twin room with ample space between the beds and at the foot of the beds for my large suitcase. The bed had a duvet with a cover which only covered one side which I didn't think was very hygienic (I realise it's a typical Japanese style) and one pillow filled with seeds and the other was a softer tempura style pillow. The bathroom was small but functional. The towels were small and thin and only one was provided. There was mould on the shower curtain. The room lighting was ok and the air conditioning worked well. Unfortunately there were no English language channels on TV. There was one desk with a chair. A cupboard and good sized safe which wasn't fixed to the cupboard and a fridge. Wi-Fi was poor and kept on dropping in and out. I tried changing rooms but there was no improvement. The hotel offered free parking and it was just over the road from the train and bus station. I was able to catch a bus from there to Tokyo Haneda airport very easily. That said, booking it was a nightmare because the bus company wouldn't take internet bookings and the hotel refused to help me reserve a seat. The breakfast was ok with enough western choices such as cereal, yoghurt and croissants. The restaurant was a nice bright room. I used the hotel washing machine and dryers (for a small fee). They worked well although the machines were a bit dirty. No English was spoken at reception so communication was difficult. There were a few restaurants within walking distance (or if you drove with parking). 7 Elevens were about 10 minutes walk away. The hire car outlet was about 30 minutes walk away.

Winter. I came to climb Mt Fuji. How difficult could it be? It's a gradual slope and even senior citizens are strolling on Fuji's incline from one snack shop to the next. But there's a climbing season. People are advised to not climb Fuji outside of summer. If you do, Michael wanted me to sign a release form which would allow him to go thru my things in case of my death. Since my backpack is filled with Adult Toys which I didnt want him & his Filipino staff to see, I decided to not climb it. Thanks, Michael, you might have saved my life. 1. Strong WiFi. 2. Lots of hot water & good water PRESSURE. 3. Bunks have curtains & lamps but no elec sockets. 4. Soap, shampoo, conditioner (i'm bald). 5. Tea & coffee. I stayed at 3 hostels in Fuji Yoshida. See what I think of all of them.

Myself and my husband stayed 3 nights here, it was long enough. It is located not far from Shimoyoshida station, within walking distance. When we arrived check-in was easy and quick, they showed us through the main building to a separate outer building in a quiet little street. We both had very heavy luggage as we are staying in Japan for over 5 weeks, it was a little difficult to get the luggage to the outer house as it is all stones and steps! It is only a short distance from the main building. When arriving in the outer house, the lady showed us up a very small very steep set of wooden stairs with a small wooden handle going up and around to an upper floor, we managed to get the luggage up but I think it would be difficult for an older or less able person to get such luggage up these stairs. Don't get me wrong people with small cases or backpacks could get up easily, it was only because our luggage was so heavy, so please bear this in mind when choosing a room. We noticed 2 larger rooms down the stairs on the floor level, that might be more suitable for guests with large luggage? or even installing some kind of luggage area? The room was an ok size, there is very low ceilings/beams inside. and an overwhelming smell of cabbage soup. At first I thought it was because someone had been cooking in the room, but even after the 3 nights staying with the window open and the air con on full, the smell remained. Its not a nice smell and I have been in other ryokan style rooms with tatami mats and they do not smell like this. The room however was very clean and the beds very comfortable. A nice quiet street. Another thing to mention is that the door to the upper rooms are VERY noisy, maybe traditional in style but if anyone comes out of the room at night for the shared toilet downstairs, you know about it. The doors that open to the outer building are also very noisy, luckily we had guests that didn't come in and out too late at night. Other than that the shower room (X1) was clean and the toilets (X2) clean. There is no mirror in the room so you must go down the stairs to the bathroom area for a mirror, this area is nice and clean too!-free coffee and tea in the outer house part where we stayed. And a good selection of pretty plants to look at :) The town itself, is quiet, we rented bikes for 500yen and got our use out of them! The bikes are a little old in style and the chain came off 3 times when I tried to change gear, the other bikes chain came off on the bumpy path. we didn't have problems once the bikes were going though. we cycled to and around lake Kawaguchi which in total is around 34km. This was well worth it, as we saw many cool things around the lake. There is a sento not far from the hostel but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to try it, it looks quite new though. Decent supermarkets can be walked to within 20-30 mins. There is a 7/11 near by too. other than that, it is best to hire bikes and cycle to areas, be

Before the trip I had a chat with the CSO on where to alight on a bus strip from Mishima station. He advised me correctly. From FujiQ Highland station to the hotel was a short 5m walk. Hotel foyer was welcoming warm. Front Counter lady on duty was very very informative polite and she speaks perfect English! Quadruple room was excellent ! Contour pillows and normal fluffy pillow with form beds. Toilets n washrooms are behind a wall which was superb as it doesn’t disturb sleeping families. They replenish towels to your room by hanging it in the door when we didn’t need to clean our room. That’s v v thoughtful. Usually hotel limit 4 to a room but this hotel doesn’t. I’m impressed. Water dispenser is in alternate room - fantastic! I need not boil water 😎 Onsen was fantastic - they even have Dyson hairdryer 😜. This place is value for money. I will recommend n will be back.

The hotel facilities are very good, very suitable for one person to play. The hotel is on the south side of the amusement park, and downstairs is the express bus boarding and ticketing point, which leads directly to Shinjuku, Tokyo. However, please note that if you are coming by tram, the station is north of the amusement park. It is very difficult to walk around the park. There is Don Quixote to the south of the hotel to buy daily necessities, and there is an old izakaya with a strong Showa atmosphere on the small slope to the south. You can have a drink at night (this izakaya is only recommended for tourists who can speak Japanese, otherwise you can’t read the menu) , But there is a highway between them, so you have to go through the overpass next to the bus ticket office, otherwise the crosswalk will have to go very far. As for the projects in the park, the four major roller coasters recommend buying fast tickets

We booked a room for 3 people for 2 nights. Room was clean & big enough for 3 people. It’s a twin bed room with an extra bed( extra bed comfortable to sleep in). Our room (#305) has a view of Mt. Fuji. We can see Mt. Fuji from our room window (please see photos below). We had breakfast outside hotel during our stay as they serve only JP breakfast (JPY 700/person). The reason was that breakfast was served only with boiled eggs (we needed to have scrambled eggs at that time). The hotel has a coin vending machine inside so you can buy any drinks from here all night. The hotel has a free big parking lot (we parked our rented car there for 2nights). The hotel itself is located by the city main road and the other side of the main road has a KFC, a convenience store, a Japanese restaurant . Hotel is not far from Lake Kawaguchiko. Recommended hotel.

The hotel is not near the attraction, but if you buy a pass card, you can take a bus at the bus stop. The front desk is completely utterly speaking English, but it is very hard to serve you. The place to take a bath is a hot spring. Don't worry about bathing with others. The front desk will arrange only one appointment for each time period. Japanese breakfast is very rich.
