|3.32km from city centerWir waren in einer Gruppe von 12 für 2 Nächte in 12 einzeln genutzten Zimmern Anfang Mai 2022 dort. Zudem hatten wir 2 halbe Tage einen Meeting room mit Service angemietet. Ich habe solche Treffen schon öfters organisiert und kann daher feststellen, dass zum ersten Mal alles funktioniert hat. Alle Anschriften, Rechnungen und organisatorische Vorbereitungen passten vorzüglich. Die Zimmer waren modern, nicht überladen, sehr funktional und sauber. Der Check in sowie die dortige Betreuung während des gesamten Aufenthaltes war absolut top. Das Frühstücks-Buffet war überraschend umfangreich und abwechslungsreich. Die Bar wurde zwar „nur“ von der Rezeption mitbedient, reichte aber absolut aus. Dieses Haus ist für Städte-Reisende und Geschäftsreisende gleichermaßen empfehlenswert.

|1.73km from city centerWir waren enttäuscht: Im Februar 2022 nur Zimmerfrühstück ”wg. Corona”, welches man am Vorabend bestellen und die Lieferzeit angeben musste. Standard-Zimmer einschl. Bad sehr klein, Zimmertür zum Vorflur ließ sich nicht schließen (Bett im Weg), einfache Ausstattung. Wir wussten überhaupt nicht, wie und wo wir unser Frühstück einnehmen sollten. Die vier Sterne haben wir nicht gefunden. Dafür sind rd. 133 Euro + 15 Euro Tiefgarage pro Nacht zu viel. Positiv hervorzuheben ist die Lage mitten im Zentrum, das überaus freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal, die hauseigene Tiefgarage, in die man auch mit einem großen Auto kommt (allerdings muss man für Ein- und Ausfahrt sich jeweils eine Karte an der Rezeption holen und anschließend gleich wieder abgeben), freie Minibar (4 Flaschen).

The layout of the palace is similar to the Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna, and the scenery is not too good. The Constitution Square is very distinctive. Booked a single room, only a 1 meter small bed, enough for business trips, facilities are traditional German hotels, sparrows are small and complete. The hotel is very historic and a traditional elevator is featured. The hotel is large, the room is quite a lot, the breakfast seems to be simpler, the place to eat breakfast is also very small, I don't know if the guest is not open. Only a group of business Koreans are eating, the cups are messy, and no one is sorting out in time. The restaurant only sees a waiter.

Reception staff readily helped translate the dinner menu as the waitress only spoke German. Home made jams at breakfast. Outside terrace for drinks or meals in fine weather. There was nothing to not like. The unremarkable but pleasant village of Forst has an excellent baker-pastrycook where we had coffee and cake and bought lunch for our travels.

Lage in unattraktivem Gewerbe-Mischgebiet, mit Auto gut zu erreichen, zur nächsten Straßenbahn sind es ca. 300m.
Die Zimmer und das Hotel sind modern und chic, das Frühstück hat uns auch in der Art der Präsentation und bez. der Auswahl gefallen.
In dem gebuchten Hipster Studio kleine Küchenzeile mit Kühlschrank, praktisch sind auch Bluetooth-Lautsprecher für das Smartphone.
Allerdings hat das Hipster Studio sicher nicht die aufgeführten 32qm!
Überwiegend freundliches Personal.
Zusammenfassend hat es uns gut gefallen, aktuell auch gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

The receptionist also showed a remarkable organizational talent. She managed to handle the requests of several guests at the same time, always maintaining a quiet and professional treatment. No matter how stressful it was behind the treasure, she always kept her positive attitude and made the impression that she was personally careful of every guest. In addition, the receptionist was always premature and emotional. The bed was comfortable, the hotel is located near the centre, overall quiet at the end of the pedestrian zone, however near school. We had a guest for 2 nights on Christmas Day. Check-in was okay, the ”service” but relatively disgustless. Over the holidays the location of the hotel was visually visible, the breakfast offer as well. That on the 1st holiday instead of the ordered eggs with bacon a watery, The 2nd day was also unsuccessful, the staff said there were no eggs in the kitchen. Requiring the full price of almost EUR 17 per day for a very limited offer is no longer limitable. There is also no help with the free use of the mini bar (water and beer). Despite late check out (on holidays until 14:00), our guest became the 2nd. A holiday is required from the room at 12 p.m. at least for holidays for us no option for future guest accommodation. Unfortunately, our guest was not able to express the criticism on the ground because there was no person at the reception - despite 2 hours of waiting in the lobby on the day of departure.

Kommuniziert wurde vorab sehr kompetent und freundlich per Mail. Die Lobby ist sehr schön und einladend, mit Kaffeeautomat und Wasserspender. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und es gab dann zu unserer Freude ein Upgrade. Das Zimmer war sehr schön - mit allem ausgestattet, super Matratze, Tablet und eine Kaffeemaschine. Das Frühstück war wirklich sehr gut - im UG, was aber durch helle schöne indirekte Lichtquellen (mit Himmelmotiv) ausgeglichen wurde und wir haben uns auch hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Bar und Personal war sehr schön, wir haben vorab reserviert und den gewünschten Tisch bekommen. Wenn wir nochmals nach Karlsruhe kommen, dann wieder dieses Hotel.

The look and feel of the hotel is modern in overall and is nicely done (floral-themed), the rooms clean and nicely furnished. Overall nice stay. However, two things we weren’t pleased about and also heard other people complain about: This hotel is not accepting any cash but cards only. For guests from abroad, even small bills needed to be paid with card and commission usually apply for each transaction. Totally get the thinking of the cards-only policy but it definitely is not guests-friendly at all. The other thing is that we forgot to bring our travel adapter. Not the first time but in all previous hotel, we have also been able to borrow one from the reception. From a hotel which is located closest to a venue like the Messe Karlsruhe and with almost 160 rooms, we would’ve expected that they are prepared with a few travel adapter. Fact is: they have not a single one. As said: overall nice stay and we would probably book again, if we’re going to visit the Messe Karlsruhe but otherwise, we would definitely look for another hotel.

Das Service-Personal ist sehr nett und sehr bemüht (sowohl bei der Reservierung als auch bei dem Aufenthalt). Das Hotel selbst ist in dem Teil, wo wir waren, teils kurios, teils veraltet. Die Zimmer (im Bungalow) waren sehr groß und früher bestimmt luxuriös, entsprechen aber nicht mehr unserem heutigen Geschmack (z.B. Radio mit Kassettendeck am Bett). Was uns mehr gestört hat, sind die Sanitär (Klo und Badewanne), die von der Abnutzung verfärbt waren. Was uns aber sehr gut gefallen hat, war das vielfältige Frühstück mit tollem Service (auch frischen Spiegelei). Das Angebot an Müsli war überwältigend. Es war für jeden etwas dabei.

|2.8km from city centerWhen booking a hotel in Europe I look for the following: 1. Room for 4, 2. Parking for a pickup truck, 3. Free breakfast, 4. Relatively close to attractions. This hotel covers 3.5 of the items. It is about 2-3km from downtown. However, I found out after the fact that you can park for free about 10min walk from the city center. The breakwast was amazing, better in my opinion than some of the major US brands. Rooms were clean and staff spoke English and was polite. Location was easy to find and didn't have to use the onsite parking as the street parking was free. -1 star due to the rooms looking dated and no air coniditioning. We stayed in an ”appartment” which was just a larger room and the second ”bed” was a pull-out couch. We could have stayed in the cheaper room, but European occupancy rules and weird and we are forced into a ”suite” or ”appartment” (which this was not). Overall, I picked this hotel for the parking and breakfast. Had I known there is free parking right outside the city center, we would have stayed somewhere closer.

We rented an apartment for the week, which was spacious, very comfortable, stylish and efficient. The staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty. The only negative was that street-facing rooms on the first level got quite noisy because of loud passers-by or possibly late-coming guests having a chat before coming in. Not sure the hotel can do anything about that, though. Luckily, the hotel is on a side street, not a main one with lots of traffic. I'd stay here again and can recommend it. The location is also great, walking-distance to many restaurants or even some shopping.

Breakfast was plentiful, whether I wanted to eat healthy or load up on carbs. I can't find fault with any aspect of this hotel at all. When I go to visit my friends again, I will not hesitate in booking this hotel. There is no need to look anywhere else for a fab location, price, rooms and staff.
