As a facility, I felt nostalgic because it was a bath with a rare Yufune and a washroom at this time. How do you say it is Showa? It is located at the end of the north of imabari Ginza, and the location from the station is not good, but imabari Jo castle is right there. The shopping street has been a complete shutter since the entire Shimanami Kaido road, but there are also shops that have a new sense of vacant stores. It may be a good inn for travelers who can apologize for the old good imabari and enjoy the feeling of being sorry. Breakfast is free, hot coffee is free to drink. Well, efforts are being made.

Very disappointed to be writing this review... Firstly, their website is dreadfully dated and their booking system puzzling, even comically so. It almost feels like using the Wayback Machine... I tried booking five or six months in advance and so I wrote to the hotel to express my excitement for both coming back to Imabari where I once lived and worked teaching English in 1999, and also that I had always wanted to stay at the hotel, as I actually lived directly across the road from the hotel and always thought it so exclusive and luxurious-looking, and it was the talk-of-the-town back in '99 when they were still very new. I was willing to pay a substantial room rate for a Tatami Suite (approx. ¥30,000 per night for three nights) however was advised that they were sold-out for my desired dates-of-stay in March 2023. What irked me is that no alternative accommodation options were offered, despite there still being availability on third-party websites such as *********** and ******* for other room types, and there was no acknowledgment of my excitement and enthusiasm for wanting to be a guest of theirs' after so many years, or for any disappointment caused. This is terrible service, and not exactly what one would call 'growing the business' to reject a potential guest despite having other rooms and suites available to sell. We instead booked ourselves a wa****su (traditional Japanese tatami room) at Hotel Kikusui Imabari down by the port, which was cute, comfortable, clean, and looks to have had recently had a refurbishment of their guestrooms as the bathrooms while small were nice and new. The cost of this room was also about a third of what the Kokusai Imabari Hotel asks for their Tatami Suites as well. I still wanted to go to the Kokusai Imabri Hotel however and at least see their gardens and lobby, pick up some Imbari towels from the official store at the front entrance, and have breakfast in their restaurant. The lobby is very nice and it does have the grandeur of a Japanese hotel trying to be a European hotel without being tacky or dated, and it does appear that they have recently cleaned all the chandeliers (I'd read other reviews and this seems to have been a first impression for a lot of guests, so this was a nice surprise to see them dust-free). We had a look at the gardens outside and they were very nice and maintained as to be expected with Japanese gardens. So why the 1 star review? Well, we wanted to treat ourselves to what we thought would be a five-star breakfast. We were told to go upstairs to the mezzanine level and we met a nice lady staff member who advised that breakfast would be roughly ¥2,400 per person. No problem, that's fair for a good buffet breakfast. We were then however lead into a huge banquet hall with only a couple of dozen guests dining, which made it feel even emptier and more like a school cafeteria rather than a classy restaurant. We then went to the buffet and it seems that none of the bain mar

It is a long established inn, and it is like a hot spring inn. It was full of Showa retro feeling, such as the cluttered corridors, wooden stairs railings, and tiled wash basins, but it was OK at all because it was a cheap night stay. The bath is also shared 1 Every time two people enter, they lock it. The building is old, but the toilet was a washlet, and the hair dryer and pot in the room were new and clean. The walls are thin, but the guests around me seemed to be sensible, and I was able to spend quiet and comfortable at night. Imabari hand towels are also a nice service. Since it was an online reservation, I asked if I could issue a receipt, but I kindly asked him to issue it. The location is close to Imabari Port, but I walked about 10 minutes from Imabari Station in the shopping street.

The hotel's reception area and bar are quite modern with some cute Japanese décor and homewares on shelves. There is also a complimentary 'amenity buffet' so you can pick up some extra soaps, shampoos, bath salts, etc. any time you need them. We had a wa****su (traditional Japanese tatami room) on the 3rd floor that was moderate in size but very clean and looks to have had a recent renovation as the bathroom was very new and modern. Imabari's main shopping street is just a 2 minute walk away with some nice coffee shops and homeware stores. There are also two Poeme stores very closeby where you can buy Imabari's local sweet treat which are perfect with coffee and also as a boxed gift idea too! The nearest convenience store (a Family Mart) is about a 5 minute walk away and Imabari Castle is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel's front entrance and makes for an interesting afternoon and has an excellent 360 degree view from the top. The hotel has bicycles that you can rent for free, however the seats were very uncomfortable and even a little painful (though it might just be me, as I haven't ridden a bicycle in quite a few years and am a big heavy Australian bloke!) Our futons were very comfortable and we had a great nights' sleep and felt very refreshed in the morning. Unfortunately we made the decision to go to the Imabari Kokusai Hotel for breakfast instead of having breakfast at Hotel Kikusui Imabari and we had quite possibly the worst buffet breakfast there. Really regret we didn't just stay and have breakfast in-house, as the food at Kikusui looked to have been far better and at a fraction of the price too! Couldn't fault this hotel and will absolutely stay again on my next visit to my old hometown of Imabari!

Kaisentei is located in imabari and about 15-minutes walk from imabari Station, near imabari Onsen (hot springs) and imabari Texport (a facility dedicated to imabari towels). Yukata are available for guests to wear during their stay. Guests may borrow conveniences such as hair dryers and irons at no additional charge (please inquire at the front desk for details). Facilities include a communal bath. The hotel offers Japanese multi-course meals featuring fresh fish and seafood dishes, and can arrange fishing boats for the guests and prepare meals with the fish they catch. I used it on the pilgrimage in March 2021. Arriving at the hotel at 15:30, you can see it from the 55th Fudasho Nankobo, the room is a little small with a W bed, and it is a vinine hotel, so it is clean as it is. It is undeniable that it is aging due to aging. I think people on the pilgrimage are in a convenient place. Since there is no dinner, I procured food at a nearby supermarket (Super Marunaka, which takes less than 10 minutes on foot), breakfast was 6:30, buffet style, there were many items and the taste was reasonably good. The dining room door opened at 6:30 for breakfast at this hotel. I feel that 6600 yen including tax is a little expensive for this breakfast, but I feel that it can't be helped because it is close to Nankobo and the location is good. It's not bad here, but there are many hotels near here, so I'll stay at another hotel next time I come.

I used it at work, and the parking lot is divided into front and back sides, and there are only 10 cars, so it may be a little short in the car society, and it was a size that struggled to park when there were many mini van classes. The door of the unit bus is rubbed with the frame and it is unstable to open and close, and the toilet seat comes down freely during use and uses it while pressing it with hand. On the other hand, there is a side that I think home breakfast is good in health.

I stayed at the Kisuke Yu ticket cherry blossom breakfast plan. It is right next to JR Imabari Station and there is Lawson nearby. I can walk a little to the Yakitori shop of Imabari specialty, and the drinking street of Imabari. We arrived about 9 o'clock on Friday night, but the free parking lot was able to stop safely at the last 1. Welcome alcohol is good until 21 o'clock and free drinks can be brought into the room by 0 o'clock. Amenities can be taken freely. I don't know if the lower layer is, but when I stayed upstairs, I didn't hear the sound of the train at all. Kisuke no Yu is very comfortable with a sophisticated hot spring facility, so I recommend a plan with a hot spring ticket.

Nibukawa Onsen is a hot spring area located in Nibukawa, Tamagawa-cho, Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. It is said to be the three hot springs of Iyo along with Dogo Onsen and Hondani Onsen. Mikado, Dutsukawa Onsen, is an inn located in Dutsukawa Onsen. I will stay here this time. On December 10, 2020, I visited Nishiyama Koryuji Temple on that day. From there, I drove to the parking lot of Mikato. It is an unpaved parking lot, but it is easy to park. Enter the entrance. The hall has a Showa retro atmosphere. I will stay in a room called Yoshino on the first floor on this day. Japanese-style room. A massage chair is attached to the room. I go to a hot spring, but the room also has a bath. The room bath is also a hot spring, which is a luxury. Outside the window is a valley. Although it is an old room, the toilet is a hot water toilet seat. I had time to dinner, so I decided to take a walk. I can see something like a promenade under the road, but it seems that it has been left unattended for a considerable period of time, so I decided to go on the road. Enter the promenade where you are going ahead. You can see the reverse arched bridge. It is called Yunohana Bridge, and it seems to be a rare shape with only 2 places nationwide. The valley is beautiful. I walked to the Fureai Bridge. Worship at Yu Shrine. I'm back at the inn. It's a long-awaited dinner. The quality of the hot springs I entered before the meal was excellent. It seems that the content of radon in the source is large. The menu of this day is an inobuta hot pot. Shirako tofu. Grilled salmon with salt. sashimi. Tempura. What a matsutake mushroom tempura. Sake is Yukijaku. Seafood carpaccio. Kamameshi. Ise shrimp. Dessert is almond tofu. Take a good rest and have breakfast. After the meal, celebrate the birthday of the treasure with the cake you received. Check out and proceeded ahead.

Conveniently located about halfway between Onomichi and Imabari along the Shimanami Kaido, WAKKA is much more than a halfway stop. Staying here is an experience you won’t forget for a while. Between us we had a cottage and a dome ‘tent’ both with views of the water & the Tatara bridge (across which we had cycled). We opted for the BBQ dinner on our deck & it was wonderful: sashimi appetiser, local seafood, vegetables & meat (amazing steak, boar sausages, chicken) as well as rice, dessert and mint tea! The hospitality here is so warm that we felt immediately welcomed. All the staff were lovely. Reika (from reception) suggested a trip to the local onsen (public bath) and provided a voucher as well as minibus shuttle (10 min way). This was a great experience and good way to relax after a day’s cycling. We enjoyed breakfast sitting on the cafe deck (great coffee) before we set off for another day of cycling. As well as cottages & dome tents, there are dormitory beds for a more economical stay. WAKKA also offers support to cyclists who aren’t staying at the hotel.

I took a two-day ride on Bohai Road on Children's Island and booked this homestay halfway through the night. It was unexpectedly good. The wife and wife were very rich in breakfast and dinner. However, it is very comfortable to have a hot spring on the first floor. To go to the hot spring, you must bring your own bath towels from the room. The service staff does not speak English. You can use translation software to communicate. The service is very warm and thoughtful. Even the toilet is a bit inconvenient outside the room. In addition, if you bring your children, it is best to say in advance that you have to prepare breakfast and dinner. Children’s breakfast and dinner will be charged extra. Truly excellent facilities. My friends and I were so impressed. It’s a hostel but you do get private spaces, basically giant cubicles with blinds and curtains to give you some privacy. Facilities were basic, but exceptionally clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well, despite seeming quite busy. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that the perfect hostel is still a hostel. You get people talking late into the night keeping you up with their mumbling. You have people snoring. It’s nothing the hostel can really do anything about, but it’s something to bear in mind.
