I have stayed here several times and every stay experience exceeds the previous one. Everyone at this hotel is very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and very well kept. I would definitely would like to see some new carpet is some of the rooms but besides that no issues at all. I really like the fact that there is a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The hot breakfast next morning is always a plus. Recommended

RedRoof had always been our go-to hotel for consistency. They are usually well-maintained and clean. I don't know WHAT is going on with this place though... First off, the evening staff at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. That was about the only good part. Once we made it around to our parking area, we parked next to a 30-year-old abandoned truck stuffed with garbage. Even the driver's seat was full, so it's obvious it's not being driven. As we made our way toward the building, it was concerning that the outside door to the corridor has a swipe-lock, but it was not operational, and the door stayed unlocked. Nice security. Once inside, the smell of vape, cigarettes and **** permeated the hallways. I was passed by a man carrying a large clothes hamper on his way to the laundry. I assume he lives there. Once we got to our room, I could see down the hall that garbage cans and bags of trash were stacked in the hallway (I assume from more people who live there). I also noticed TONS of dog hair along the hallway carpet. I wasn't even looking for it. It just was that dirty that it caught my eye. I could hear kids screaming and dogs barking already, the walls were that thin. Once inside the room, we noticed how poorly maintained it was. The lampshade was broken, the tiles had months of dirt buildup along the edges, the toilet seat had cigarette burns, and the commode itself was so loose I thought it would fall over. The bathtub had hair and bits of debris in it. I turned on the faucet (which, along with the spout, moved in and out of the wall about an inch when touched), but the tub just filled up and swirled the debris around, taking several minutes to drain, leaving even more debris behind. So we couldn't use the tub. I'm not going to stand in ankle-deep dirty water with somebody else's hair. The mattress was completely flat in the middle. It was like sleeping in a hammock. My wife and I had to stick pillows under our sides like wheel-chocks to keep from rolling into the middle. The walls and floors are extremely thin. We could hear EVERYTHING going on beside us and above us. We could even hear the upstairs dog walking around as if it was in our room! Plus people slamming doors all night, screaming in the hallways, making every dog in the building bark in unison... Like I said- RedRoof is usually a solid choice. But NOT THIS ONE. It is VERY poorly cleaned and maintained. We were only there for one night, and I bet most people wouldn't have even made it that long.

Had to go to 3 different rooms before getting one acceptable. Room service seemed to be short staffed. The kiosk was full of Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and water that’s it. No vending machines or anything. We have stayed here a lot, since they sold out it’s gotten worse.

We stay here every year as our stop over hotel. Service is always amazing, clean, safe, well lit at night and right off the interstate. Breakfast offerings are just what we need to grab a good bite and get back on the road.

We stayed here for 4 nights, and as it turns out - over a weekend when there was a youth soccer event nearby. Based on the parking lot - this hotel was packed with soccer families, and still we had a very pleasant stay. Every morning there was plenty of hot breakfast offerings from 6 – 10am. There were actually 4 different hot offerings on each of the 4 days. They have an attendant focused on the breakfast area, so replenishments were often, and she even helped keep the tables clean. That was remarkable considering how full this hotel was. As far as the room – we were quite pleased. On our first night there – a overhead bathroom florescent light went out in the bathroom. I talked to the manager, who saw to it that the light was replaced quickly. The bathroom was very neatly laid out, 4 of every towel, with a very big counter around the sink. The shower was always very hot, and the water flow was superb. We loved the comfy beds with all the extra pillows, and our evenings were quite quiet - even with a full hotel of kids. Since we stayed for 4 nights, we opted to not have our room cleaned during our stay. Towel exchange was easy peasy as expected. We opted not to use the indoor pool, nor the exercise room. Another thing I really liked here was the free internet speed. I was there on a Thursday night, and I wanted to watch the Thursday night football game which can only be streamed through Prime. I watched the entire game on my phone through the hotel's internet, without skipping a beat. I thought that was amazing, because usually a hotels free internet is iffy at best, let alone a continuous stream. Not here. I would easily stay here again on my next trip to this area. When I find a hotel that puts in this kind of effort to make my stay a pleasant experience – I’m in!

We booked this hotel to stay in while visiting with local family for Memorial Day weekend. We didn’t want to inconvenience family with our young children and their nuances. I was thoroughly deceived by the photos on the website. When you arrive at this hotel, you will first notice the poorly maintained outside of the building. You may also notice a car that remains parked in the same place and appears to be lived out of. Upon entering the lobby, you will see a layer of dust on most surfaces. The lady who checked us in was nice. She gave me specific directions on working the smart thermostat in our room, so when we arrived in our room and it didn’t work, I tried to call the front desk for help, but the phone didn’t work. So I had to go back down to the lobby and wait to ask about it. She told me our room must be one of the few in the hotel that hadn’t been upgraded yet and was still controlled by the window unit. There were stains all over our carpets, and even some on the walls. There was hair on the walls of our shower. The fridge looked filthy on the outside. There was hair and lint covering one of the lamps. With every dirty area I found, it made me question how clean the rest of the room really was. One perk of staying at this hotel should have been the hot buffet breakfast, but it was always empty of most items and there was nobody around to offer help. On the first morning it looked like a manager or front desk employee was helping someone replenish the breakfast, but then people were left waiting at the front desk for help and the phone was ringing over and over again. We tried to visit the pool, but the water was so cloudy that a grown, 225 lb man fully disappeared once he was more than 2 feet under the water. This is huge safety concern. You couldn’t even see the bottom step leading into the pool. We ultimately decided to end our stay early and stay with family for our last night because it was such a poor experience. This was definitely not what we expect from an IHG hotel and I will be following up with the chain regarding our concerns and hope to receive a partial refund or IHG credit.

We were visiting our son that was performing in Kings Island 70's show. Hotel only 5 minutes from KI. The room was clean and fresh upon our arrival. I had read several reviews stating odd smells, worn out carpet, general disrepair. I found all of this to be NOT TRUE. The hotel is certainly not new, but I found the room and common areas to be in good condition and what I would expect for a HYATT experience. One review said you could not shut the bathroom door while sitting on toilet. Yep true, but WHO CARES. Shut the door before you sit down, DUH! The sink is outside door from the toilet/Shower and that works great for us. The people that left those reviews expectation were entirely too high probably should just stay home. Additionally the clerk told me if I experienced any concerns when I saw my room she could move me. What more can you expect. The bathroom drain would not stay open & tub filled up while showering. Had to put a pen in it to drain. The shower head pressure was WAY WAY too strong, almost painful. If every room is like this it is a horrible waste of water resources. The shower valve handle was loose and troublesome to dial in a proper water temperature. These were minor and the only issues we had with the room. We would stay here again for sure and recommend.

This people are great. I have been in Ohio for 2 months on a travel assignment as a nurse. After trying a few airbnb's, I decided to try this place. I love it, they gave me great rates and went over and above in customer service. Everyone has been nice. The location is great with lots of places to eat and close to the interstate. The rooms were great, nice and clean. Katie is the best, she has the best smile and disposition. Ms. Gale is so sweet she has the best breakfast in the morning and she serves us and makes the morning great. Jessica, Shelly, and Amanda all are so sweet. Big thanks to everyone!
