Hotels Near Kojichu In Tokyo
0.14km from Sushi IsshinLocation: Ikebukuro Station. There are many different train lines in Ikebukuro Station hence it was confusing at times to navigate around. To reach the hotel from the station, follow the directions for PARCO departmental store. If you are ok with stairs, then you can just exit via the stairs. If you have elderly or children/stroller or with luggages, then go inside PARCO departmental store (B1) and navigate around to locate the lift/escalator to L1 where you will make your way to the hotel. From the point where you exit via the train gantry to the hotel, it would probably take about 10 - 15 minutes. Room: We have 3 adults. At first we booked 'Superior Queen Room (1 Queen Bed) - Extrabed is from 3rd adult'. However, past reviews from others showed this room is too small for 3 adults. Hence, we changed to our booking to 'Deluxe Twin Room (2 Double Bed) - Extrabed is from 5rd Adult'. This room has got 2 double beds and 1 sofa bed. The double bed in this room type is big enough to accommodate 2 adults. As for the sofa bed, it was a sofa bed with a thin mattress, and it was not as comfortable as compared to the double beds. In fact, you can feel the metal springs of the thin mattress which was laid over the sofa, and was quite uncomfortable. Breakfast: Breakfast is at Denny's Cafe (level 2). It is not buffet style. You have to order the breakfast set from the given menu. Please factor in at least 15 minutes for your breakfast set to be ready. This is especially important if you are catching a flight or going for a tour. Hotel vicinity: Surrounding the hotel was restaurants and some shopping stores (such as Zara), and a 7-11 right in the building. Overall: The stay was pleasant. Would most likely be booking this hotel if we are to be in Tokyo again.
0.18km from Sushi IsshinIf you're in Tokyo to take advantage of the delights of Otome Road then you can't beat this hotel for location. Everything in East Ikebukuro is right on your doorstep! The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, although I had a single room which was small even by Tokyo standards - there was literally nowhere I could put my opened suitcase other than on the desk. The reception has lovely polite staff, and the room itself unlocks with a key which you have to leave with them when you go out - somewhat of an anachronism for modern travellers, but the process for getting it back is fairly straightforward. The only minor complaint I would make is that the housekeeping staff are a tad enthusiastic. I was awoken at 10am one day by knocking despite having put my Do Not Disturb on. But this was a very small blip overall in what was generally a very nice stay.
0.21km from Sushi IsshinThe only good thing I can say about this hotel is the location. It’s very close to Ikebukuro Station and several malls, restaurants, food shops, convenience stores as well as the popular Sunshine 60 Street leading to Sunshine City (mall/entertainment center) I don’t know why this hotel lists wheel chair accessibility in their profile because it is not wheel chair/disability-friendly at all in its layout. You walk through the entrance and see a very narrow escalator that only goes one way. According to the time of day it either goes up or down. You have to use a spiral staircase in the back to go the other way or ask the reception to get the key and switch the escalator if you really are unable to use they staircase (example: with strollers or walkers) It’s very bothersome and impractical. The rooms are not very spacious, but that’s quite normal for Tokyo. However if you are rooming as a family of 4 or more you better make sure to reserve a bigger room/suite. We booked a casual twin room for us and our two toddlers and with two suitcases we could hardly turn around without bumping into each other or furniture. Speaking of the interior: it is very old and dated as well as worn down, not to say dirty at times. We usually put the two twin beds together to have one big family bed but the one night stand in between the beds was not movable at all and so we had to play a game of Tetris to have the beds together somehow. The bathroom was a tiny built-in plastic wet cell. You can sit on the toilet (that had a toilet seat not matching the shape of the toilet bowl - AWKWARD!) brush your teeth over the sink and have your feet in the bath tub at the same time. Not so practical if you are not of tiny size or pregnant like me. The worst thing regarding the room was the big opening between window and window-frame. You could easily shove a coin in between. This is an absolute no-go. Just imagine staying in that room during winter!! The overall feel was not very clean. I mean with two toddlers it can happen that they drop something and pick it off the floor (carpet) but picking up loads of thick black hairs (clearly not from us) with does leave us with an icky overall feeling. I think most of the guests are drawn to the hotel purely due to its location, not the rooms or anything else.
0.26km from Sushi IsshinStayed here for two nights during New Year's 2019. The somewhat outdated rooms are typically small for a Japanese hotel, they appear to be accommodating with a variety of accessories in the room plus a handy (free cell/mobile phone) for guest use. I did try to use it but my calls did not seem to go through for some reason. Nevertheless, it is available and likely helpful to guests without use of a cell phone or access to the internet. There is a breakfast included which is mostly a typical Japanese breakfast so for Westerners they might find it very limited. Oddly enough during the two days I was there they offered lunchtime food for breakfast along with Japanese breakfast staples of fish, steamed rice and miso soup. Good price and a great location. 0.29km from Sushi IsshinAbout 5 minutes on foot from "Ikebukuro" station on each JR line. Very convenient for both business and sightseeing.
0.29km from Sushi IsshinNewly opened in Ikebukuro, one of the three major sub-centers of Tokyo, in 2020.Four companies and eight train lines are available near Ikebukuro Station, making it the perfect base for getting to various locations.Based on the color concept of "the evening sky over the downtown area" and "sophisticated urban image," the functional rooms are all equipped with air purifiers with humidification functions. The hotel is equipped with a full range of security measures to ensure a safe and secure stay despite its location in the downtown area. Please spend a moment of relaxation in our hotel, which is convenient for various purposes.
0.31km from Sushi IsshinI chose this property based on its proximity to the JR Ikebukuro station, and WOW, it is literally just a few fee away from the north exit. Yes, there are stairs to negotiate, from the station, and at the hotel, but I travel lightly! Sun City has a small, but classy lobby, with a microwave for guests. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and speak some English. There is a restaurant on site, but we did not use it this time. We checked in early, and they brought our luggage to our room before we came back to check in! GREAT SERVICE! However, the BEST thing I found about this hotel is the large size of the rooms. We had a twin room, which also included a small wardrobe, a futon, a small table, nightstand, refrigerator, and hot pot. I am VERY PLEASED with this property and will definitely stay here again. I love the Ikebukuro neighborhood for the shopping, food, and entertainment.
0.32km from Sushi IsshinThe rooms are about the same size as at the economical Toyoko Inn brand, and barely any better outfitted, but cost almost twice as much. So what do you get for that extra money? A breakfast that is slightly better than Toyoko's, a fancier lobby (several floors up from the street entrance), a mattress that feels like plywood covered with thin cloth, and a TV that turns on EVERY time the guest enters the room. What it doesn't have is a place to print a boarding pass or anything else. I've been to many hundreds of hotels in 50+ countries and never before encountered a hotel that lacked that facility. The desk person actually told me to go do it at a convenience store. Japan is a very modern country so should be embarrassed this deficiency. This hotel is overpriced for what it offers.
0.34km from Sushi IsshinGlad to have stayed in this hostel for the last 2 days of my Tokyo trip. I am very thankful that they let me store my luggage for 2N prior to my check in as I wasn't allowed to bring larger luggage to board highway bus. At first, I have problem locating this place from Ikebukuro Station Exit 35. Later, I tried walking towards Sunshine City (Tokyu Hands), cross the zebra crossing (Under the bridge)..I reached Tomod's Drug store. Turn left, walk along the pavement, I passed by Hotel Route Inn, Ikebukuro Hospital..then make a turn and the Lodging is there ! I think it is value for money that I could get a room for myself for the price paid (don't have to stay in capsules and has more privacy than cabin hotels). It provides good amenities like shower gel, shampoo and facial wash. There is also a big fridge, hot water dispenser, microwave and washer too. The premise is kept very clean. The single lady's room I stayed though not very big, is spacious enough to open luggage and there is big rack for hanging clothes, very practical. My only minor dislike is that sometimes I could hear footsteps when people walk along the corridor. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there.
0.35km from Sushi IsshinStayed here for 6 nights, and I think I will definitely consider staying here again on my next visit. The hotel is new, and the room is very clean and spacious comparing to other hotels in the area. Even though it’s a bit far from the train station, I still think they are worth the money. But a couple things need to be addressed, 1. On my first morning, a housekeeper tried to open my door without knocking, what if I was changing and other guest was walking pass the hallway? This is totally unprofessional for them to do this, knock before you enter a room is a common sense, shouldn’t be making this kind of mistake at all. 2. The room doesn’t come with air purifier w/ humidifier which is pretty much a standard amenity in Japan. Other than these, I can’t think of anything else worth concerning.
0.41km from Sushi IsshinTHE ROOM IS QUITE SMALL BUT THE BED IS BIG ENOUGH FOR 2 PERSONS, AND HOTEL IS QUITE NEW AND CLEAN, AND THE LOCATION IS 2 MIN BY WALK FROM NIGASH-IKEBUKRO STATION, JUST IN THE BEGINNING I DID NOT KNOW SO I ALWAYS GO TO THE MAIN IKEBUKRO STATION, BUT ITS ABOUT 10 MIN BY WALK, SO ITS UP TO THE PERSON IF THEY LIKE TO TRANSFER TWO TIMES, AND ALSO IS EASY TO GO BACK BY NARITA AIRPORT BY LIMOUSINE BUS FROM SUNSHINE CITY, WHICH IS 5 MIN BY WALK, IF YOU HAVE THE LUGGAGE ITS BETTER TO TAKE THE ELEVATOR FROM NIGASHI IKEBUKRO STATION, AS THERE IS UNDERGROUND PATH WAY TO SUNSHINE CITY PRICE HOTEL, WHICH IS MORE CONVENIENT WHEN YOU HAVE A LOT OF LUGGAGES TO GO BACK TO NARITA AIRPORT, AND IT WILL TAKE AROUND 90 MIN TO TWO HOURS.
0.45km from Sushi IsshinWhen we first arrived there was a communication issue as the Booking agent and the Buyer had not booked accurate dates that matched our itinerary and the staff were very inefficient in helping at 12 midnight We sorted out our dates and then arrived back to which the Staff were going to hold our luggage until we paid a missed reservation fee! We didn't make a separate reservation we had commented we may come back if we needed to, no reservation no confirmation at all, again very unhelpful and somewhat arrogant about the process Few things about the Hotel Non Smoking floors have smoking floors above and below and a Central air conditioning system making for smoking rooms smell through out our NON Smoking room - not well planned A few amenities are not available like daily water with room, Laundry service and irons The bathroom had mold all along the back of the shower, while i understand the bath skin system it is not pretty to look at or see The Rooms are small, very small and hard to fir western luggage into, so this is only a suitable room for short stay or if little luggage Overall would not suggest this location compared to others we have seen in area for cheaper
Hotels Near Kojichu In Tokyo Review
Check in was a breeze, efficient and high tech. Godzilla head is an interesting feature of the hotel (esp. for fans), and location is great, right in the middle of the happening area.
room size is good, can even be bigger if the toilet is joined with the bathing area. can bring the 2 single beds together to form a large bed.
Their service is nothing short of excellent. They have staff who are fluent in English (and other languages as well, I suspect). Me and my friend came thinking that we would be staying in a Single Room with Extra Bed since that was what we booked as we attempted to be more economic. However, to our pleasant surprise, our room was upgraded to a much much bigger room for free. We are very thankful to the helpful staff for making our stay pleasant and extremely comfortable. The location is great as it in located somewhere in between Iidabashi and Suidobashi which is pretty much close to the geographical center of Tokyo. Head east you will be able to visit Akihabara and Asakusa quick. Head west, you will be able to hit Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya. The neighbourhood is fairly quiet and the Tokyo Dome is just a 10-15 minute stroll away. If I am coming back to visit Japan, this hotel will be a clear top choice for me. Haven't had the opportunity to have the breakfast at this hotel, but I will certainly try it out on my next stay here.
Great location with walking distance to metro station. Very comfortable room, housekeeping staff is doing a very good job.. super clean and no dust at all.. very impressive! Love the coffee sachet and green tea provided at the front desk.. they even give lady a Japanese facial mask upon check in, so thoughtful 🥳
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. From it's central location (right across the street from the Shinagawa train station) and close proximity to many restaurants and shops, this will be our go-to hotel in Tokyo. Perfect for first time visitors and frequent visitors to Tokyo because of its location, amenities, and service.
Close to public transit was a must when evaluating a hotel to stay anywhere, especially Tokyo because I didn't want to carry/drag luggage far. This hotel meets that as the hotel is located directly across the street from the Shinagawa train station. Also, the airport limousine bus stops at the Shinagawa prince hotel. Location to transit made this one of the top reasons why we loved this hotel.
There are a few towers on property so the room you book determines which tower lobby you check-in too. There are plenty of signs in english to direct you to the appropriate check-in lobby and the staff are more than willing to help as well. Checking in was smooth and quick as our room was ready (we checked in around 7pm), clean, and spacious. Like I mentioned, there are lots of room types available you just have to find one that works for you. In this instance, a corner room King offered plenty of room and a rather large bathroom for Japanese standards. We actually ended up with a killer view of the Shinagawa train station. Spacious and clean rooms was another reason why we loved this hotel.
In addition to the hotel being close in proximity to a central train station (both JR and local routes here), there are numerous shops and restaurants within the hotel property, adjoining the hotel property, and within walking distance to the hotel. A 7-Eleven, McDonalds, and food court are a few of the options on property with endless options for eating and shopping within walking distance to the property. Close proximity to restaurants and shops is also one of the top reasons why we loved this hotel.
Above all else, what makes this property stand out is the level of service from staff and the cleanliness of the entire property, inside and out. Ever single staff member we interacted with was kind, helpful, and respectful. Everything from the lobby, guest rooms, hallways and public areas were clean, really clean, something we loved.
Again, I cannot recommend the Shinagawa Prince Hotel enough and we can't wait to come back.
If you loves omakase breakfast at Toyosu market, shopping at Venus Fort, Diver City, Aqua City, visiting the TeamLab Borderless and TeamLab Planets, and hot-spring at Ooedo Onsen, that's the perfect location. Even gives you quick access to Disney resort and Haneda Airport! Small rooms as usual but the one with twin double beds is excellent for parents with two young children. The only downside is no car-rental nearby.
Location is perfect, in the heart of shopping district Shinjuku. It's also walking distance from Shinjuku station. Economy double room is very small for two people. The plus point is the Airport Limousine Bus counter is just right at the hotel lobby and the hotel is one of the stop for the airport limousine. Overall is very good. Will come back here again if we travel to Tokyo.
