0.1km from downtownPros: one minute walk to the beach, ATM right around the corner, clean, new towels every day. Cons: no Wi-Fi signal at all whole week, toilet paper has to be placed in the trash not toilet, no proper curtains so got sun right in our faces every morning, AC not included and payed cash with no recept back, Maria was not to be seen the whole week, only available on phone. Spacious bathroom from website was in reality small with smallest shower I have seen ever. And worse of all when they cleaned the stairs there was no sign about it so i fell down the stairs while going out, one of employees who didnt even speak english started laughing while she was saying to other one that i fell. Other one came to ask if all is ok, but after I went to my room noone asked anything more, not even Maria. And i was all blue and in such pain that i needed one week sickleave after. So all in all will not be back or recommend to anyone. Much better to stay in Pythagoreio.

0.33km from downtownMy wife and i stayed at the Green Hill Studios on our recent trip to Samos and were quite disappointed. The location is right on Kokkari beach and the owner was very polite and helpful but that is where the positives stop. There place is family run so there is no Reception, no activities, facilities etc. The room was very basic, a small TV in the corner, old furniture, NO Air Conditioning and bathroom was very archaic (no stand up shower). No room service apart from sheets get changed once a week. And it is also quite over priced. If this place was modernized it would the perfect place. Even though our host was very helpful, he would do himself a huge favour if he installed AC to all the rooms, new furniture and decor and at least a descent TV. Sorry but I can't recommend this place in its current form.

The private bathroom is stocked with a shower and hairdryer.Various taverns, grocery stores and cafés lie within walking distance of Penelope Studios. The area is ideal for various activities, such as hiking, diving and horse riding. Vathy Town with island’s main port is approximately 10 km away. Free private parking is possible nearby.
0.47km from downtownThe apartment n10 is on the top floor of the building and it is the ideal place to spend your romantic holidays as a couple. It has a nice room a kitchen where you can cook a small living room and a great balcony that has a view on the town and on the sea. Few minutes away from the happening restaurants bars shops and from one of the best beacheas on the island. If you know the owner you know everybody on the island. Lovely place to stay
1.41km from downtownLovely hotel, such kind and considerate staff. Nothing was too much bother. Best small hotel I've ever stayed in Greece. Modern decoration, stylish and clean. Pool is a good size and didn't find it cold. No problems in getting a sun lounger. Fabulous views over Kokkari, which was even nicer then I remembered 20 years ago. Lots of good tavernas in the village, particularly around the old harbour. Retains a very Greek atmosphere, not too commercialised. Lots of different nationalities and no English pubs or breakfast fry ups. If I had to give any constructive comments; (1) not enough drawers in bedrooms-change the round tables. (2) add a few extras to the lunch menu calamari, taramasalata, stuffed peppers/tomatoes? (3) Last free mini bus at 5pm too early for going out for dinner - have a couple of later runs? Normally go to Greece last 2 weeks June, but had to go 1st week July as hotel doesn't have Air/Con on till then. Think Hotel should review this, lots of Brits like to go to Greece in June and not having A/C may put people off booking. Even with it on, I found A/C the warmest I'd ever experienced! Night we arrived, set off to town, by mistake ended up in Hotel Aristo. This was good luck as there's a buffet 15 Euro's each. Excellent value and really good food. Noticed that Samos airport is increasing capacity by 40%, so island will get a lot busier - go sooner rather then later if you like the real Greek. Already recommended this to 2 friends, one has already booked.
2.04km from downtownMy wife, 4-year old boy and myself had planned a spontaneous trip to Greece and decided to go with Armonia Bay. Though the price was higher than the other hotels in the area we went for it. And wow we have not regretted it. From the arrival (which was late) the service was top. This hotel is family-owned and run, and it really shines through that the hosts have genuine interest in delivering the best experience possible. No run-at-the-mill hospitality here. We are Danes and the one half of the owner of the hotel was half Danish too, which shined through with a Greek mellow kindness combined with Danish “hygge” (look it up if you don’t know what hygge is). The hotel was authentic, intimate, clean, well managed and with kind staff. We stayed on the first floor with a terrace and balcony overlooking the bay. We could see all the way to Turkey from there. Rooms were adorned with marble, A/C and soft beds. Breakfast consisted of a delicous a la carte menu which we had the pleasure of sampling from first to last dish on our 7-day stay. Even Marlon my son who is normally very picky had breakfast every day. The evening menu is equally satisfying with fresh seafood, Greek favorites with a fusion twist. The local area is very interesting and lush compared to other Greek islands. We rented a car which is definitely recommendable. Kokkari the nearest town is just minutes away and provides down to earth dining and drinking. It’s a nice little town with everything you would expect from a Greek island town. Idyllic really. All in all a highly recommended stay, especially for shorter trips i.e 7-10 days.
6.66km from downtownInitially bypassed this hotel when looking for our holiday. But we were so glad we decided to book. It was so relaxing and left us feeling we had experienced something special. Authentic Greek food and drink with friendly helpful staff. Comfortable rooms and WOW! What a view from the room. Yes the hotel is a little tired, but that did not spoil our stay one bit. And the lack of pool was more than compensated by the beach which is a stones throw away. Clear waters ideal for snorkelling with so many fish to see. Samos town is easily walkable with many tavernas/bars and a wine museum which is worth a visit on the other side of the bay (2 euros well spent!). All in all this hotel gives everything and more for a quiet and relaxing break. I would definitely recommend it and will be going again.
6.9km from downtownZafira apartnents in the small village Agios Konstantinos is a beautiful quite building With 12 apartments. The family that runs this place have a great hospitality, ifyou want they make you a breakfast in their snackbar opposite the apartments. 7.41km from downtownAnthousa hotel is located in Vathy, only 5 minutes walking from the town square. The rooms are very clean and the owners have done everything to make me feel like home. The internet connection is one of the best in the city. I’ve stayed in for three months and I never felt alone or as a tourist, but as a member of a family. Casper, the dog should be the hotel mascot.Overall excellent experience and for sure will come back. Ευχαριστώ πάρα πολύ. Γεια σου.
Hotels Near Kokoras In Samos Review
The room was very comfortable but the air condition was annoying. Room cleaning was top notch though. It has a small pool which is like paradise for young children and pool bar. Only bad thing is that breakfast was poor but at least you could have it by the pool. Keep in mind that Karlovasi is not the best choice to stay if you are in Samos, it's to far away from all the nice places. Pythagorio would be the best choice imo.

Great place run by the most friendly family. Very service minded and always greets you and asks if everything is good 😊. The room was very clean (cleaned twice in a week with new towels and sheets) and also spacious. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the pool where you could sit and enjoy breakfast or a drink. Small kitchen with the most important utensils that would allow you to cook a dinner. Also coffee brewer and kettle. Only negative thing was the bed that could have used an extra thin mattress on top. The owners also have a car and scooter rental (Dream rent a car) where we rented scooters. Scooters were delivered right outside the door and it was also OK to return them late at night. We also got tips about great places to visit which was very appreciated. Scooters were well maintained and in great condition.
I have just got back from an absolutely wonderful holiday at Golden Sand Samos. The location was perfect for the chilled out relaxing break that my husband and I wanted. The beautiful apartments are set on a hill overlooking a wonderful beach. Outside our apartment there were beautiful hibiscus, lemon, and almond trees a grapevine and other beautiful shrubs and plants, this is a really beautiful place to sit with a glass of wine if you didn't want to go on the beach or by the poo or the hotel restaurant and bar. Maria runs the hotel and is one of the most friendliest and helpful people I have ever met, in fact all of the staff were wonderful and so happy. They all go the extra mile and nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel is really close to a couple of resturants including the wonderful Paris restaurant and if we needed plenty more bars and restaurants the nearest town is 2.5 km away and costs 6 Euros by taxi, however if Maria isn't too busy she will drop you off there herself. I would definitely recommend staying at Golden Sand it was fabulous.
Down the rocky lane and three steps more Bordered with white joyful serpent Leads the path to earth, water and air On the earth you can find pebbles Which swallowed different colours of life Unselfishly offering those to you To take a look of them, to feel their shapes with the tips of your fingers, To smell them, to lick and taste and pick your own colour What a great opportunity! In the water you will find precious silence Surrounded by ease of living and loss of the form Hands of sun touching the surface And breaking their fingers in the corners of your watery eyeball What a magnificient gaze! In the air the wind will cuddle your skin The salt will crawl slowly into your nostrils, Each particle will roll down your hairs and catch them with its tiny hands and swing on them as those were jungle ropes What a joyful game! Up the rocky lane you realize That you are just a complementary sound Corresponding, connecting, diving into, vanishing and appearing, creating a cycle, living... Immensly grateful Dragana & Rajko
First thing first.... SAMOS is a fantastic place... definitely one of our favorites of Greek island, and we have visited a few during the years. And if you stay a Ledra hotel your recipe of a FANTASTIC holiday is complete. We stayed in Ledra Hotel from 17-25th of May 2019. During out stay we rented a car in the airport for the whole week using Enterprise Carrental (super company with good price conditions and service). We really recommend rending a car - then you can easy reach all the fantastic beaches and points of interest on the island. Ledra Hotel is perfectly situated in the very western part of Votsalakia - away from the center of the city with the normal tourist taverns, bars etc But still Votsalakia is very nice and not to full of tourists. The hotel is close to 2 very good tavernas, 100m to local baker, 150 m to supermarket and 150 m to the beach with crystal clear water. We stayed in a 2-room apartment (room nr 7) with perfect location with both sea view, view to the impressive mountain Kertis and view to the pool. The apartment is well equipped with all you need - you can make your own breakfast and light dinner. The size of the apartment is well above average and can fully accommodate 4 people. The bathroom is nice with new shower and toilet. The style of the apartment and the hotel is kept in a real traditional Greek style with full up to date interior. Our apartment had to balconies - both with room for 4 people to eat. The room and the hotel a always very clean and well-maintained. The hotel has a nice pool area with both a small kid pool and a normal pool with depths of up to 2 m. The hotel has a lovely pool bar / minor taverna serving full range of beverages and really lovely traditional Greek food such as Greek salat, Dakos, tzatziki etc. But what really make Ledra Hotel blow the trip advisor scale is the Personal of the hotel, especially the young hosts Anna and Nicolos. A the very first minute you arrive you feel welcome and get the feeling you are a part of a family. The hosts will literally do everything in their power to make your stay fantastic. They are beyond the normal helpful scale. They work from early Morning to late night and always with a smile and ready to help you. They guide on all the hidden and known highlights of the island. Every week they make a real traditional Greek barbecue with nice tasty food prepared from the stone grill - a real nice evening and opportunity to meet the other nationalities in the hotel. The cleaning staff of the hotel are also very friendly and helpful. They clean the room every day and also tide up your room. We can only give our warmest and best recommendation - it exceeds what you normally see of a 3 star hotel. We have tried a dozen of really lovely Greek hotels but Ledra Hotel tops the scale. We give 6 out of 5 stars - Ledra Hotel really deserves a “travelers choice” award Best regards family Tvaerkaer, Denmark.
We have recently returned from a wonderful 16 night stay at the Hotel Sofia We spoke to Vasilis the owner prior to booking who informed us that due to Covid measures put in place that there would be no breakfast provided this year . On arrival at the airport we were picked up by Manolis and taken on a 40 minute journey to the hotel over twisting winding roads with some fantastic views On arriving at the hotel we were taken to our room ,which from the large balcony overlooked the fantastic pool and garden area, the room was basic but spotlessly clean with twin beds a small fridge ,air conditioning and a small tv and an adequate shower and toilet. Due to a lot of peoples concerns over traveling this year there were only a handful of rooms occupied and as people spent the days out , when you stayed around the pool it was like having a virtually private pool all to yourself ,all very relaxing. In fact we probably felt safer here than we would of done at home. The village itself was reasonably quiet but there was still plenty of tavernas and bars to eat and drink although towards the end of our stay places were beginning to close due to the lack of custom. We were looked after wonderfully by Vasilis ,Nova and Manolis for the whole of our stay ,Vasilis even took us up to the pharmacy in the hills above ,when we needed some medication and also took us and small group of guests to various tavernas for some memorable meals especially on our last night when he and Nova drove us high up into the mountains to a fabulous restaurant with amazing views over both sides of the island , Thanks for all the hard work you put in to ensure all your guests have a memorable stay and we cant wait to visit again next year hopefully for 3 weeks [or more]
