It was really nice staying at this hotel. The services were good and the charges were also appropriate. Also, I had to buy some medicines urgently but did not know the route to the medical shop and also the time was late night 11 p.m., so the hotel staff went in search to get the medicines for me. This kind of help & gesture is very much appreciated. Also, the hotel person Mr. Arindam is a very kind hearted person & very down to earth. He attended to all our request even with such a busy schedule of ***aging the hotel. Food quality was good and cleanliness was maintained all the time. Had a good quality time here.

Stayed only 2 nights as a start of a tour of East, North and West India. Check in was quick with a refreshing drink and cool hand towel on arrival. Delux Room was clean and well laid out with all necessary products. Had a cold beer and snack first evening at the Pool Bar. Breakfast had a variety of local and western options, all good. Had a wounderful home local cooking experience with Surajit Bomti locally, this was outstanding truly an excellent host (e.mail or mobile +91 9831314990). This was arranged by out Trailfinders in the Uk. Overall an excellent hotel and local tour with Diptoe of local area/ culture

I was there last year as I had to visit US Embassy, so I was looking something closer to that. I visited Calcutta first time and to stay in this hotel was the best decision. I didn’t know much about Calcutta and had few issues but Susmit helped us alot and made sure me and my family enjoy the stay. ***agement is really nice. Best part is the attached restaurant is attached to the hotel, make sure you take the buffet option with the stay, amazing delicious food and thanks to Shyam who took extra care of our food, I was traveling with my baby and was a bit nervous as he came India first time but their ***ager Susmit made sure that we feel like home and safe by taking care of all our requirements especially with baby . All the attractions are close by, area is very safe, get cabs easily from uber etc. I strongly recommend this hotel, I am going to stay here again if I visit Calcutta in future. Thanks for the great service !

the stay at the hotel was ok. Its location is good in terms of hospital and Alipur zoo, the nearest city attraction. Food served in the hotel is also good. The staff is also very cooperative, but the room service quality is very poor, as I had to time and again call them to serve the ordered food which would not come even after couple of hours! Room that I was provided has furniture like mirror, working table, almirah, but strangely does not have a chair that is needed to use the table!

This was our first trip to Kolkata and we stayed in the tangerine guest house for three nights. We were visiting to attend a wedding and the guests were put up at this guest house. We reached the guest house at 5am in the morning and were immediately helped to our rooms. The pluses first - the guest house has a great location at close proximity to the city and several small shopping locations. There is also a small and convenient hall, in case you require to host events in a smaller scale. The employees in the guest house are warm, which i realise is how most people in Kolkata are! The negatives - Like most of the other reviews have rightly pointed out, the linen, the towels are dirty and stained and really need to be replaced. We specifically asked for cleaner and nicer towels and yet again we were given the same towels. The room service is very poor. No cleaning of rooms in all the three nights that we stayed there and even after asking for cleaning and being promised immediate attention, after hours of waiting, noone turned up. The rooms are dusty and the AC's do not help. The guest house said they have a buffet breakfast and when we reached there, the buffet comprised of only pav bhaji! Having said that, the food tasted good, so that was a relief. The hotel is located at a very convenient location and the rooms are not bad either. It is a pity that the maintenance is so poor otherwise it would have been a really good stay.

It is in Kolkata offers you a relaxing stay, in proximity to various general stores, railway station, bus stop, and ATM. For your ease, it offers Wi-Fi, 24-hour check-in, parking facility, room service, power backup, and a party hall. The rooms are equipped with all the essential amenities to ensure you a comfortable stay. Wake up to the knock of complimentary breakfast on your door and spend your evenings here relaxing around the bonfire as you explore the scenic spots in Kolkata during the day.

This hotel is quite conveniently located on Harish Mukherjee Road. It has about 30 rooms with 4 suites. The hotel does not have services like travel desk, doctor on call, airport pick-up/drop etc. It has a small dining area and room service is available. The hotel offers free wifi and has sufficient parking area. Check out time is 11 am. We had booked two suites and a/c in one of the room was not working. After lot of follow up we were offered a standard room in lieu without any refund for the difference in tariff. Breakfast was offered on chargeable basis. Going by the rates being charged, the hotel ***agement needs to ensure better upkeep and maintenance of the rooms to give a value for money experience to the customers. The location of the hotel was the only plus during our stay.

We happen to stay in the hotel for about a week. Our stay was made comfortable by staff curtsy and very helpful front office. Cleanliness was really. Money wise it is an economy hotel. Location is perfect and is well connected by busses, metro rail, and taxies. Good eating houses and roadside food stalls abound.

Well, I have visited various 5 & 7 star hotels in Kolkata, but JW Marriott stands out. The business meet held there went really smooth, thanks to the guy I met Soumodip Khara & the generous lady, Priya. I met them in the lounge and they just made my day. The service was impeccable! I would definitely recommend people to visit here.

Overall lifetime experience. I never felt I was in hotel. It was like family to me. In addition, the way ibis staff have shown hospitality at the time of COVID 19 crisis is brilliant. I had the best hotel experience ever in India. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good room. Very good buffet dinner. They packed breakfast for me as I had to leave early to the airport (5-10 min drive away).

To begin with; I am a budget traveler, a flash packer of sorts, and look for hotels in the $30 USD range. If I go over budget, no worries and if I find really cheap accommodations that suite me that’s an added bonus. I’m currently on my second tour of India (February 2018 - March 2018). I find that all the hotels I have stayed at are pretty much the same. No matter what price I paid (500 - 2500 INR) at any given hotel, I found the cleanliness to be substandard, the rooms outdated and in need of serious remodeling and maintenance appears to be non existent. Typically the bedding, linen, pillows and towels are worn, stained and should be replaced. Hot water and water pressure can be an issue and I have at times skipped a shower. Amenities are totally lacking, mostly you get a roll of toilet paper and a bar of soap. Most budget hotels do not clean the rooms on a daily basis, seems to be upon request. Wi-Fi is hit or miss, some places it was quite good, others not so much. Never found much in the way of English language channels on the television so I did not watch it. A visit from a mosquito or two was a nightly occurrence at just about every hotel I stayed at. India is noisy, and I found most hotels to be as well, from a combination of street sounds, staff and guests. In all honesty, none of the Indian hotels that I stayed at deserve more than three stars. Now to the review: Hotel Heera is a typical Indian style budget hotel; out-dated dirty rooms, grotty linen and towels, no amenities etc. I had a deluxe room which had a walk in price of just under 2500 INR, the price was basically the same. The positive : The Wi-Fi worked very well, plenty of hot water, English language television channels including a few news channels and a convenient location.
