We booked 3 nights of the Mercure Hotel Berlin City West, and ended up leaving one day early because we were that unsatisfied with the hotel. At check-in we were charge an extra fee for being on leisure instead of business I guess. The elevator wasn't in operation and they put us on the 6th floor, which we had to climb the stairs to with our luggage. I booked a superior room because there was supposed to be coffee and tea making facilities, but there were none. The free wifi was non existent for me because I couldn't log on, even when I brought my computer to reception for help. I asked for coffee making equipment and a hot water kettle was put in our room while we were out, nothing else, no coffee, tea, sugar, cups, nothing. The pool was a lot smaller than it looked on the website, and the tables near the pool weren't cleared of food items or beverages let by people. We didn't purchase breakfast so I can't comment on that. One good thing is the parking in front of the hotel was free. We won't be returning.

Excellent staff throughout our stay. Large room, large bed, very clean and bright modern decor. No air conditioning and no fridge. Couldn't open windows due to someone being able to climb in which meant we had a somewhat warm stuffy sleep. No refrigerator in the room meant no cold drinks. Very small bathroom but manageable and very clean. Few hot options for breakfast. Only boiled or scrambled eggs. No bacon, mushrooms, sausages, tomatoes or beans. Only white bread (toast or rolls). Nice small garden courtyard for breakfast or coffee. Supermarket across the street and close to bus and shopping district easily reached on foot.

The good: the place is conveniently located near the U7 line and has a supermarket next door open until 23h - which is REALLY handy. Frank B. from the front desk is AMAZING. He should get an award or some sort of recognition from the management, as he does anything to make sure the guests are comfortable and well taken care of. Other staff members were nice (with the exception of one young guy who was borderline rude). After a 15 day stay, you eventually meet everyone working there. Breakfast was good, but I found that for EUR$ you are better off eating somewhere else. However, it is handy to have it there in case you need/want to grab something before starting your day. The bed and bathroom were clean and the housekeeping service worked really well. The bad: The place could use some renovation. Stained carpets with mold/dust smell made me have a hard time staying there. I saw myself obligated to stay out until late hours most of the days, simply because my allergies wouldn't leave me alone there. It would be nice to have a small fridge in the room. The wifi was a joke! It was available, but it was impossible to even do simple things such as texting or checking email. I was there to work, hoping to have skype calls afterhours (due to time difference), but unfortunately, it was impossible. The smelly carpets and lack of wifi just made my stay there much less pleasant than what t could have been. I regretted not paying maybe 10-20eur more and stayed in a slightly better place. If you are just looking for a place to sleep, this hotel is a good choice.

Really lovely apartments just outside of the city. A short bus trip on the TXL will get you to Berlin centre or to Tegel Airport. The apartment we stayed in (Apartment 2) had been furnished to a very high standard and included a dishwasher and washing machine which was really great for us as we were a family of 4. They even included washing tabs etc to use. The apartment was open plan with 3 good sized, comfortable kingsize beds and a balcony to sit out on an evening. There was also two sofa beds and a futon, so you could fit 11 people if needed. The welcome was great - with a bottle of something nice to welcome us and a few chocolates for the kids. The kids even got a Thank You bag when we left filled with snacks and drinks for the journey. The only slight drawback is the location - not quite central so you do need a taxi ride or bus ride to get anywhere, but still a great place to stay if you're wanting something quieter. Honestly couldn't have asked for more from them -

6 friends visiting Berlin for a long weekend, part of a city break deal, the hotel is pretty centrally based with a 15 min walk from the station and the main shops, surrounded by shops, restaurants and near the zoo. Rooms were very clean and tidy, comfortable beds. If I had any downsides it would be the room was very warm even when we had the air conditioning on, we had to speak to reception about it, which they sorted for us; the other would be the breakfast was pretty limited - continental breakfast only, breads, meats and cheeses, fruit, juice, tea & coffee.. they happily stored our bags on the last day while we did more tourist stuff before our flight, which is always a welcomed service, and we really liked the idea of, if you don’t need you room cleaned, tell reception the evening before and as a reward you get a free drink at the bar for every day you don’t get your room cleaned! Excellent way to help the environment. If you want great basics, without frills and fancies, then this is a great hotel.

My friend and I are two young females who were travelling around Europe interrailing. We reserved a booking at Excellent Apartments in Berlin. The walk from the metro station to the apartment consists of having to leave the main road to walk through a park and thereafter to walk down a quiet street with alleyways coming from it. The entrance to the apartments is down an alleyway and there is no reception if there were any issues. We did not feel safe in the neighbourhood and didn’t want to risk walking around at night and so we informed the owner of this and said we were going to stay elsewhere. The owner started to call someone and tried demanding that we wait. The apartments managed to secure an additional booking for that evening and we explained to our situation but they refused to refund us the cancellation fee which was 80%, they’re just after the money.

The K&S Apartments provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The K&S Apartments offers a pleasant stay in Berlin for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is conveniently located just 3km from Tiergarten and 6km from Tegel Airport. Just a short walk from Richard-Wagner-Platz Metro Station, traveling to most city destinations is a breeze. With Rogacki, Charlottenburg Gardens and Abguss-Sammlung Antiker Plastik all within a short distance, there is no shortage of things to do in the area. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel.

I visited Berlin for business in November, 2019, and stayed in Adrema Hotel for five nights. I would say, I was fully satisfied by my stay! The room: it was in 4A level of the hotel. Warm, spacious, with big and comfortable bed, TV with at least three channels in Russian, channels in English, Arabic, French and Ukrainian, not mentioning German ones, very nice shower/WC room, a work desk and a safe box. Breakfast: it was absolutely perfect for me. Assortment was really wide, so neither meat eaters nor vegetarian would stay hungry! Location: in Moabit district. Maybe 15 minute walk to U-line, about 15-20 minutes by bus from Berlin Hbh (Central Station). We got there from Schoenefeld airport in less than one hour. The only thing I would improve: the safe box is installed in the lowest level of the wardrobe. So I needed to knee and bend to dial the code! I would install it higher! I recommend the Hotel and would stay there again!

My boyfriend and I checked into the hotel for one night while we were in Berlin. It was a little out of the city centre, which we knew it would be, but there's some great transport links and the underground and bus stops to the centre near by. But being just a little out of the city made it a fairly quiet area but still had a few shops and restaurants within a ten minute walk. The room itself was lovely and clean. I really enjoyed that there was a shower-tub in the ensuite and had a lovely bath in the room. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept incredibly well.. The person at the front check in desk was kind and helpful, though we didn't use any of the services which they offered there. The only thing which I can criticise was that we booked a double room but ended up with a twin room they tried to pass off as a double. Two single beds with single duvets, pushed together to look like a double.

I can’t have too many negatives about this hotel, it was spotless and staff especially Eduardo were more than helpful Bed side lamps would have been a plus as I like reading and had to keep main lights on when my wife is trying too sleep. Bar was never opened don’t know why? It is a bit of a journey to hit centre, taxi around 20 euros a time. It is walkable around 45 mins. Hotel I can’t fault, where it is situated I can, for a tourist around the vicinity of the hotel there is very little, you need to hit centre which can add to the budget. Regards

The hotel is 10 minutes drive from Tegel Airport. The hotel is ratedc3 stars but I have some remarks about it. 1. Location is not good if you do not have a car you have to walk up to 15 minutes to buy some fruits or bread. 2. No Male workers that can help you with the luggage. Only 2 old ladies that were there. 3. Reception has no place to store your luggage so for example I was travelling with 2 big pieces of luggage and a handbag I requested to leave the luggage down with the reception and they refused as they do not have space. 4. Also I was allocated a room on the back yard where you have to move with your luggage to reach the elevator you have to climb 10 steps of stairs to reach the elevator. 5. The shower drainage was blocked and taking too much time to drain the water. 6. The room has no telephone so if you need anything you have to go down by yourself 7. There is no trash bin in the room 8. Light is old yellow type which is not good for the eyes 9. The bathroom is very tiny it was too narrow space between the sink and the wall to pass through to the shower. Not good for a fatty person. On the other side breakfast was good and fresh. The room was clean and staff was friendly.

We went over to Berlin to celebrate our anniversary as a family. Stayed for 3 nights and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel location is very good as you have restaurants and cafes all around the hotel within walking distance and right downstairs you have a huge supermarket to buy all your daily needs or like me shopping for great items to bring back home to try. The staff at the hotel are very nice and friendly. I want to say thank you to Guest Relation Manager Rika Hundrack for helping me arrange a special surprise for my husband to make our stay a little bit more special! We also went to the gym it is well equip. Rooms are a good size the kids (ages 14 and 11) enjoyed their privacy in the bunk beds room and us too. Just a tip will be nice to have a few more english channels or maybe have the option to change languages in some of the programs. Other than that i cannot think of anything else. As for those who are drive to Berlin there is hotel parking but also free parking outside the hotel just double check with staff which area its on the street where there is a fish cafe is located. Thanks again Mercure MOA Berlin.

Breakfast is okay, but it is still more monotonous than the domestic hotel. The location is very good, the entrance is the Potsdamer Platz, there is also a subway station, the Brandenburg Gate, the Parliament Building, the Berlin Shopping Center are very close, and there is a Mobai at the door, very convenient. There are also other companies sharing bicycles with children's seats, but the QR code can't be scanned. I don't know how to use them, but the hotel has a bicycle with a child seat for rent, 30 euros a day, 15 euros a day. To the northwest of the hotel is a large Tiergarten park, which is in a good environment with trees, grass and water.

Stayed here back in December last year, for a long weekend for the christmas markets before all the covid stuff had kicked off. We had hoped to return this year but due to the ongoing pandemic, its probably going to be 2022 now. The hotel is located in the East of the city. We flew in Tegel and found it a long , inconvenient journey but our return flight wasout of SXF which was much more convenient so the hotel will be pretty convenient for the new Berlin airport which opens soon. The lobby was spacious, trendy and contemporary as were the guest rooms. Our room was quiet though 2 of the lads we were travelling with had rooms overlooking a trainline, so request rooms away from trains. Beds were exceptionally comfortable and we slept well . Everything felt very clean. We booked a hotel with spa facilities so had been expecting an indoor pool! disappointed that there was not one in the hotel however they did have a really relaxing spa area that had a hot whirlpool aswell as the usual saunas , so that was a nice way to chill out in the evenings after a long, cold day in Berlin! Please note however, its strictly trunks off. You have to use the area completely naked , which they say is for hygiene reasons. Although this was a little out of my comfort zone it did not detract us from enjoying the facility, I felt more embarrassed about my friends who i was travelling with having to see me naked though since we were sharing rooms we all owned up to sleeping naked anyway which no longer made it a big deal but for some guests particularly ladies it might be out of your comfort zone, so just making you aware, as its a mixed sex facility though was mainly men the two occasions that we used it which made it a little less awkward!. Breakfast was an extensive buffet which is free and had a great selection of hot and cold food that we thought was above average for a hotel buffet. Its very accesible for getting into alexanderplatz on the tram. Berlin is one of our favorate European cities, its cool, quirky and there is so much to see and do at anytime of the year. This is a great hotel and we look forward to another long weekend once all this horrible covid stuff is over. Staying safe and positive for now because we know that one day we will travel again!!!

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a city break. The hotel itself was ok, it was clean it was functional without being anything special. It was a little dull is how I would describe it without anything being really wrong. The staff were fine without being friendly. The lobby is poorly planned and the staff are locked away being big columns which are terribly placed. Two criticisms, one was that the lift was out of order and hence left one lift to cater for 4 floors and during Covid times the lift was always busy and long waits were standard. The second was that the bathroom had a glass panel from the room which let light in but overlooked the toilet and I thought it a little inappropriate that someone in the room could easily watch you doing a number 2 the other side of the glass. Not ideal. For these two reasons I gave it a 3 out of 5. Poorly designed. But the location was 10/10. 100m from Checkpoint Charlie and the Topography of Terrors. Lovely pub opposite side of the road.

Our room on the 13th floor was standard category. Spartan in decor, purely functional in layout, the room was clean, the tv worked and it had a minibar plus good view . No tea or coffee making facilities but that might just be a Radisson feature. However, when I needed help in checking in on line for a flight home, the wonderful lady at the Customer Relations desk was just amazing. I never established her name, but think her surname was 'Williti'. She is absolutely a gem and patiently managed to get us check-in with EasyJet, and printed out our boarding cards. Thank you so much. My wife and I were then treated to a trip to the 37th floor to enjoy the magnificent views. It was a very kind gesture and one we won't forget. I hope Radisson Alexanderplatz management appreciate they have a star on their team.

We had a lovely stay. The rooms were stylish and very clean and quiet. The only thing missing was a tea/coffee making facility. We were impressed with the environmentally sensitive touches. We were happy to pass on the room service each day and were rewarded with a drink voucher each day. We used these for a delicious hot chocolate at bedtime on our last night. The breakfast selection was varied and of good quality. So much choice you couldn't fail to find things you wanted and there were plenty of healthy options. Our favourite was the automatic pancake maker. Gluten free options are available. There were plenty of tables and the restauraunt staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful. We purchased our travel day ticket each day from the reception (validate it as you get on the tram each day). The hotel is well located to access the transport system and we used the trams, underground, rural train system and buses using our ticket. We would definitely stay again. The only reason we are not awarding 5 stars is the lack of tea/ coffee making facilities. Thank you for making our time so enjoyable.

The Riu Plaza is a 4-star place owned by the Spanish Riu chain, obviously aimed primarily at business and conference people. But it's a good place to stay for holidaymakers too. - Very well located in Schöneberg, 150 metres from Wittenbergplatz (and a little further to Nollendorfplatz in the other direction), so pretty easy access on the U-bahn to almost everywhere, and only 1 stop from Zoo Garden terminal for airport buses. - large, airy rooms, with good views (we were on 16th floor), comfortable bed, excellent and spacious shower and good bathroom in general, fast lifts - a good bar, with friendly bar and wait staff, and not overpriced, just off the reception desk area - generally friendly and efficient front desk staff (but see further on) - not expensive, at least in winter; we paid only just over 100 euros a night, which is good value Its flaws are minimal, but...: - Breakfast is too expensive. Sure, it has all the usual breakfast buffet stuff, but it significantly adds to the cost of the holiday to cough up 19 euros pp each day (we stayed 4 nights). Having just come from an excellent central hotel in Lisbon, where we had an excellent breakfast for 12 euros pp each morning, it seemed excessive, so we settled for a nearby cafe each day. - Make sure you put the 'do not disturb' sign on your door each day if you don't want to get up early. The first day we were there, Monday, having arrived in Berlin at half past midnight, we were woken up at 8.45 am by a cleaner banging on the door. Happened again at the same time a couple of days later when we forgot to put the sign out. Sorry, when you're staying for 4 days, there's no reason to clean the room that early - and I blame the management, not the cleaners, who just do what they're told. - Some of the staff are a little slapdash. E.g., the kettle in our room had been ruined by an idiot previous occupant trying to use it as a coffee perculator, so there was a baked-on layer of coffee on the bottom of it. On our way out the next morning, we took it down to the front desk - the guy there actually asked us to take it back up to our room on the 16th floor, and assured us it would be replaced by the cleaners. When we returned from sightseeing 6 hours later, guess what - the ruined kettle was still there in our room. Fail! I know this is a 1st-world problem, but the original front desk guy should have just taken the kettle and organised to get it replaced. When we took it down again, this time the woman on the front desk took it from us, and a short time later a new kettle was in our room. I don't want to criticise the place too much, as it was pretty good overall and we'd stay there again. But it felt a little impersonal, and while most of the staff were excellent, some were not well-trained or motivated enough to deal properly with issues, relatively minor though our's were. Thus, it gets 4 stars, not 5.
